Merida Lopez and Kit Rosenstein's Cohasset wedding and reception at the harborside Atlantica Restaurant

Merida and Kit got married on their anniversary. Huh? Yup, you need all your fingers to count how many years they've been together, and they decided to be married and have a wedding celebration after all these years. They wedding took place at the church on the green in historic Cohasset, MA, followed by the wedding reception at the Atlantica Restaurant.

Imagine a perfect late summer evening at the beach with no bugs, no crowds, and no limit on having fun with the camera. Cutie pies Laura Shannon and Kevin Bardon and I got together at Duxbury Beach for the couple's wedding engagement portrait session. Their wedding will take place next spring at the Lighthouse Inn in Dennis on Cape Cod.

Michelle and Chris seem to feel the comfort of having known each other since they were kids, and while they were apart for years, they never forgot how they made each other feel inside. Chris tracked Michelle down one final time, and they celebrated their wedding yesterday at the Popponesset Inn at New Seabury on Cape Cod. Hartman Family Portraits - A First Time for Everything

There's a first time for everything. For one-year old Lila, it was her first time standing between her parents, taking their hands, and walking together as a family. Lila's face glowed in delight with every step. If only Lindsay and Jeremy, Lila's mom and dad, could have seen their daughter's face. Now they can, because I was there, too, photographing this moment at their home in Framingham, glowing with my own delight at witnessing such a timeless but once in a lifetime milestone. One lesson that I've learned repeatedly is that I don't have to go any further than my own back yard to find something that inspires me. Today, I got up close and personal with these quite cheery flowers growing in the earth outside my kitchen window. I thought you'd enjoy seeing this, too.

Bekah Parker loves David, pants or no pants, and they can't take their eyes off each other. They're planning their wedding at the Seaport Hotel in Boston later this year. The sun knew what to do on Corey and Will's wedding day, shining at last after so many days of drenching drizzle. Corey and Will knew what to do, too. They were ready to wed, ready to be surrounded and witnessed and celebrated by their families and friends, and ready to let all the love and joy in, from near and far. The Red Lion Inn in Cohasset was the perfectly fun, funky, outdoorsy location they had hoped for, and it was a pleasure photographing the day. Finding the joy in rain

Aren't you sick of this weather? I was feeling that way yesterday, until my wife and I set out for a late afternoon walk despite the heavy weather. We agreed that if we didn't get outside for at least a few minutes that the day wouldn't quite feel complete. So off we went, right out our front door into the hills and dales of our neighborhood, as we so often do when we need a fix of light and air and exercise and catching up. What happened was remarkable.

While we've been walking in this neighborhood for 15 years or so, we suddenly realized that on this day, this walk, we had let the direction of our steps be taken over by the curiosity of going a route we've never taken before. Each step seemed to be towards something new, away from something old. At the same time, we found in our conversation a new path along the route of an old question. It was so very satisfying to be on an altogether new path in familiar territory, and especially so to realize the connection between the new route and the new conversation.

The Cape Cod wedding reception took place up on the hill of the Chatham Bars Inn, overlooking historic Chatham Harbor. Thanks to each and every one of you for making the day so loving and lively. Kate and Andrew, best wishes on your new life together!

There's something about the way a bride looks at her groom on their wedding day, and the way the groom looks at his bride, that certain connection that glows from within and surrounds everyone and everything around them. This was certainly true for Stacey Souza and Doug Mullen at their Lady of Hope Chapel wedding and Ridge Club reception on Cape Cod. They led their guests through a day of love and adventure, and are now living the dream of honeymoon sand between their toes on some tropical island somewhere. The magic wand of Olivander's did its trick as Lacie and Michael celebrated their wedding on May 16th, creating a perfect day and adding another chapter in the couple's never ending story. Hamilton Hall, a registered national historic landmark, was the setting, a delightful Federal building on Salem, MA's brick-lined Chestnut Street.

Ah, the sandy dunes and salty air -- and rain and fog -- of old Cape Cod. Sure enough, the Cape gave us a rainy, foggy day for Kate and Andrew's wedding engagement portrait session at the Chatham Bars Inn. Of course, I'm always hoping for a "nice cloudy day" when it comes to outdoor portraits, and I always love working with what ever weather the day brings, rain or shine.
