Do you GROUPON?

2011-05-27T01:48:00.001-04:00

Many people that know me will tell you that I've purchased QUITE a few Groupons since Christmas! With Groupon I was able to save 50 or more percent on Christmas presents! I suprised my husband with a Groupon to his FAVORITE pizza parlor, and tickets to The Grand Ole Opry! I absolutely LOVE Groupon! It's a great way to save money on anything from dining out, movies, salons, Nascar ride alongs, and so much more! I've even seen CRUISES on Groupon, and GROCERIES from General Mills! SIGN UP today so you will know when the best deals go live, because they can sell out quickly!

FREE Zyrtec?!?

2011-05-27T01:16:00.000-04:00

Go HERE to see if you qualify for a FREE 5 day sample of Zyrtec! If you do, they'll send you a coupon via mail. I typically like to hold onto these type coupons and pair them with a $/$$ coupon so I can get some OVERAGE!!! If you do not qualify, they you can still print out $2 off 1! These have gone on sale at Target in the past and Target also offered a store coupon so you could stack and get it for FREE! :) I qualified because I suffer from allergies and I've been taking Allegra since I was in college!

Want to learn how to use your coupons from freebies and samples to get overage? Make sure to join an upcoming couponing class! You can register by clicking on the "Class Registration" tab or by going HERE!

I'm currently working on a new background and giving things a face lift until I can find a professional designer, so things may look a little crazy! Do not fear, if you're here to sign up for a class, all of the links STILL WORK! :))

Thanks for understanding,
Kerry

Just wanted to give a heads up on upcoming classes!

I have partnered with Sabine's News Cafe of Statesville, NC and we're currently working on plans to hold classes at their location. Tentatively, the classes will be on Thursdays from 6pm-8pm, starting in the middle of May!

If you would like me to hold a class at your business or you would like to host a coupon party, please contact me at K26681@hotmail.com.

Once again, thanks for bearing with me on the change for "Couponing for Crohn's"! Since starting this page and class, I cannot believe how many people I have met that live with Crohn's or a family member that has to!! If you or someone you know is, I'm always here for support and would love to talk!

<3 Kerry

Organization to Donate to!

2011-04-12T01:20:00.000-04:00

Just wanted to update everyone on which organization I have decided to donate to!

After researching and turning up lots of dead ends on Crohn's disease (I knew there wasn't a lot of information out there, but WOW....I didn't know there was THIS little), I have decided to donate to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. You can visit their site at http://www.ccfa.org if you would like to learn more about Crohn's! They list lots of ways that you can help too! I strongly encourage you to take a look around their site!!!

Thanks again for everyone sticking through all of these changes with me! This means so much to us to be able to help pay off debt from my husband's recent hospital visit and to be able to give back so that one day he may have a chance to be Crohn's free!!!

Sincerely,
Kerry

Our Stockpile

2011-04-06T18:50:00.000-04:00

This is our mini stockpile! I only recommend stockpiling what you have room for in your home, and no more than you can use before it expires! All of these items are overflow and are currently represented in our cabinets. It is reasonable to set a goal for you family's stockpile.....

For Example: IF you were to be out of work for 6 months would you have certain items stockpiled so that you would never have to buy. Each sale cycle comes around approx every 6 weeks, so I try to keep enough of certain items to sustain us during that time while maintaining the stockpile!

Work In Progress

2011-03-25T22:05:00.000-04:00

Please Excuse the Dust!!! I'm currently working very hard to get the site up and going!!! Thanks for everyone's patience, as I'm sure that everyone knows that my demanding 10 month old takes up the majority of my time! :)

Change of Plans!!!

2011-02-28T18:06:00.002-05:00

To all of the people that have wondered how long it was going to take me to get this started.......I've had a slight change in plans!

Originally I wanted to start a couponing class to teach others how to coupon and save at least 50 percent on their grocery bill, but now it's a little deeper than that! I STILL want to do that because so many of my friends, family, and co-workers have asked me, but you see.....

My husband has Crohn's Disease. I've for a very long time wished that I could take that burden from him and I've prayed everyday that there would be a cure sooner than later. Most people do not even know what Crohn's Disease is. Even having gone to college to start my nursing degree and everything else, I knew very little about it! Crohn's is an inflammatory bowel disease that currently doctors know very limited about. There are a few treatments but each Crohn's patient is different, and each flare can be very different, proving it to be very difficult to treat. Without going into a lot of detail (this can come at a later date), I've decided that I want to raise awareness about Crohn's. Something like "Couponing for Crohn's." There are a lot of diseases that have come to light and have gotten a lot of research attention because of a celebrity or because of the spike in cases. Unfortunately, I am not a celebrity and most Crohn's patients prefer that people do not know about their disease.

So I guess this is my attempt to spread the word about Crohn's by way of today's "frugal lifestyle." I cannot wait to meet each and every person at my classes and share my knowledge and passion for couponing, I want to teach each of you how to save thousands on groceries each year. With the money from classes, I will be using it to pay our very recent debt from my husband's hospital stay and the abundance of doctor's bills. It is my dream that one day this idea for my classes will spread and Crohn's will get the attention that it deserves!

That being said, please stay tuned for layout changes, and other information about Couponing and Crohn's!

Thank you again for everyone's support!!!
Kerry

Welcome Everyone!!!

I just wanted to take a second to say a quick THANKS to everyone that has shown support toward the start of my couponing classes!!! Had it not been for family and friends pushing to show the world the way I coupon, I definitely wouldn't be here! As everything gets up and running, this site for the classes will grow. I can't wait to meet each person and I look forward to seeing what deals you find also!!!

Also, a quick thanks to my loving husband for putting up with me staying on the computer for countless hours, helping me get prepared, and letting me drag you with me to the grocery store, or wherever that GREAT deal may be!!! I <3 You!

Sincerely,
Kerry
