Say Hello to CKA’s Newest Teachers!

Please take a moment to welcome two new teachers to CKA! Both will be joining Room 2 and working with the Toddlers. We are so excited about the enthusiasm, energy, and experience they have brought to our school.

Ms. Roxy recently graduated from UNC-G with a degree in psychology. Throughout her time in college, she worked in the on campus childcare centers, which are supervised by the UNC-G Child Development program. Her thorough knowledge of high quality care and a Five Star program will be a tremendous asset our school. Ms. Roxy will be working from 7:30-6:00, with her day off being on Monday.

Ms. Cassie has an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and over five years’ experience at a Five Star center. She is very excited to be working with this age group. Ms. Cassie will be working from 8:00-5:15 each day.

When you see a new face, please introduce yourself. Both teachers have gotten to know many of the children at the school, but it is always nice for them to be able to connect with parents as well.

Cool weather coming! Does you child have the right clothes?

Fall is upon us, and with that comes weather that changes wildly from day to day. With 90′s forecast for today and 60′s for the end of the week, it is important that your children have appropriate clothing so that they can be comfortable. Because weather can change in the middle of the day, it is good to have both warm and cool weather options available at school.

Please take a moment to check your child’s cubbie this week to be sure they have long pants, a long sleeve shirt, shorts, and a short sleeve shirt (extra socks and underwear are good too.) Thanks!
