This family….. I can’t explain how attached I’ve grown to them! Watching them evolve from brand new parents (and all the uncertainty that goes along with your first newborn…. ) into the confident, relaxed team that they are now makes me proud. Being a new mom & dad is HARD, but they survived and are still smiling!

Sweet Baby Girl…. I think she wins the “most-contented” newborn award! The entire time I was there, I heard only one half-hearted peep. Awake, asleep… just pure honey.

This family… these human beings… they are my people. Far more than clients, they are friends. I’ve been capturing their personal story since they were a family of three. How LUCKY am I?!

This particular session featured Miss Hannah – she is so sweet & spunky! (and how cool is mom for letting her little girl take the reigns on the look and feel of the evening??) Considering I’ve always been a Grease-lovin’, Doris-Day-watching, Bobby-Darin-singing-along-er, just born in the wrong era….. I was LOVING Hannah’s retro theme. Never mind that mama was the epitome of pin-up gorgeousness… all was right with my soul.

Thank you again R family! It is always such a pleasure to spend time with you guys!

Happy 2017!

Over the girls’ Christmas break, I had the pure joy of traveling to this mama’s house to photograph both her brand new baby boy and his proud big brother.

This little fella was one of my oldest newborns so far at nearly a month. Luckily, I was able to get this precious baby into dreamland long enough to capture a handful of sweet, sleepy shots. After his cat nap, he was all action!

While I had Liam on my posing pillow, big bro Noah came to “check on things”. He found it HILARIOUS that I was taking photos of baby brother in his birthday suit. He was a fabulous host – offering me the privilege of holding his pet turtle AND playing with his toys.

Walking up the path to this family’s home, I was greeted by the musical stylings of one Kaia Jo. I thought I might have a tough session ahead, but the Little Miss uttered hardly an unhappy peep for the rest of the day. So content & sweet (those sleep-giggles!!). Even awake – KJ simply looked around, taking the world in.

Thank you again, V Family. I feel lucky to have been able to spend some time capturing your baby girl & documenting a few moments from your early days as parents. Your love for each other and Kaia is unmistakable…

Sweet Skyler…. definitely one of the most expressive and smiley babies I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. He was also a preemie – not quite 6lbs at the time of his session (and I think his silky locks accounted for at least one of those pounds)

I’ve never met a baby I didn’t like, but this kid? He was the sweetest little critter ever! Photographing newborns is definitely among my top favorite things to do – it’s easy to see why! Between his huge dimples & kinky locks, I was in love!
