It has been a long time...I still haven't put up any new videos and I apologize but things have been crazy. Therefore let me inform you on what I have been up to lately.

I am trying to organize Seoul's first mass freeze this coming weekend. This is similar to "Frozen Grand Central" by Improv Everywhere that ended up spreading worldwide online like starving monkeys on a banana. In case you don't know what I'm talking about and still have no idea what a mass freeze is, then let me educate you. A mass freeze is a large amount of people who all freeze in place at the exact same second for 5 minutes in a largely populated and busy place. (i.e. Grand Central Station in NYC) It causes people to become confused and stop to look around and become aware of the world around them.

My plan is to have the freeze occur on Sept. 26th around COEX Mall. There is more information on the event page on Facebook here. I'm working together with Uber Rad Life Korea on making this event successful. (They wrote a blog post about me here.) They will be organizing the Mass Freeze After Hours party and have given me a lot of support in making this event work. We are working this week on making sure everything is finalized and in place. I want things to run smoothly and for this to be a great experience for everyone. Including the spectators and people that don't participate. Now you may be wondering...

Why are you doing this?

<strike>
</strike>

<strike> </strike>

<strike>It’s the first of it’s kind in South Korea!</strike>...The reason why I decided to do this is because most other countries have done this or something similar and South Korea hasn’t. I remember when I was looking up stuff about South Korea before I came. I didn’t find anything exciting like this and so it was hard for me to decide on whether to come to South Korea. As you can tell, I did and I wouldn’t change that decision for anything. There is so much about Korea to love.

I am hoping this will help people see a different side of Korea and start stepping outside of the norm. I want to inspire people to laugh and enjoy life instead of focusing on always studying and working. We all need to smile and enjoy the small things in life. We need to start noticing the world and people around us. Maybe if everyone started noticing the world around them, then we would have more people taking action to change the world.

Where did the idea come from?

I was procrastinating and surfing the internet when I came across something about Improv Everywhere. I decided to do some research about it and then discovered: http://improveverywhere.ning.com/group/southkorea. I noticed that no one had actually tried to put an event together. After establishing our Improv Everywhere group name as Kimchi Invasion. I put the event on facebook in July and started to try and plan it out. Since then, we currently have 314 people confirmed on facebook, Yongsan International School of Seoul students, Seoul Foreign School students, Seoul American High School students and many others involved in this event.

SideNote: If you live in Seoul then tune in to Kick Start 101.3 FM on Wednesday morning for the interview with Rudy Mah about the Mass Freeze. <div I'm actually doing a written post!

I am still working on editing my videos so I can update you on the adventures. I have been so busy doing a multitude of things. I am still working on doing a business in Korea, being a part of a new English Radio Station, being a part of a new English TV show, experiencing new things, traveling, planning events, learning guitar and improving my appearance. It sounds like a lot but sometimes I don't think I'm doing enough! I sound crazy but as I tell my children, "Teacher is crazy!"

I have found so far that teaching is not always bad. I have come to really like some of my kids and I have gotten to know them as well. I still don't have all their names down but I continue to try. They really enjoy it when I try to speak Korean. They teach me how to pronounce certain words and it has become a good way for me to learn Korean faster. The only drawback is that they think they can use Korean in class when they are supposed to be using English.

I have come to realize that I only have four months left here. I am now in the position where I have to decide what my next step will be. Should I renew my contract and stay another year? Should I come home then go traveling around the world? Should I find a job in the US and settle down? Teach in another country? I have not been able to decide yet but I still have some time before my boss asks me. For now, I know I want to go home when my contract ends and see all my family and friends. I am so blessed to have such wonderful loving family and friends who have come to visit me or continue to keep in touch. I am excited that I may have one more visitor soon.

Otherwise, I am currently trying to plan a Mass Freeze in Seoul. If you are confused then let me explain. Do you remember the viral video by Improv Everywhere, "Frozen Grand Central" ? That is what i am trying to do in Seoul. It will be the first one in Seoul and I plan on this being big! Therefore, it's taken some of my time away from other things.

I'll give you more details as things progress but for now I think I will leave you with that. I hope to have a video done soon and look forward to your comments or suggestions on what I should do next.

Sister Travels: From Korea to Japan

Finally, I'm posting my videos of my sisters visit to Korea.
