Height

1530 mm (60.2 in)

The Mazda Verisa is a subcompact car based on the Mazda Demio/2 produced by Japanese automaker Mazda. It was launched in 2004 and is available only in the Japanese market.[1] As of 2005, 19,473 Verisas had been sold since introduction. The Verisa was facelifted in 2006 and a second generation is expected to be released in 2009.
The Verisa can be considered either a "tall hatchback" or a "low mini MPV". The relationship between the Verisa and the Demio is similar to that of the Ford Fusion (Europe) and Ford Fiesta, on whose platform both cars are built. Its height of 1530 mm (60.2 in) is similar to other Japanese boxy subcompact cars and lower than European mini MPVs like the Fiat Idea and Opel Meriva.
Mazda Xedos

Mazda Xedos was a range of executive cars launched by Japanese manufacturer Mazda in 1992.
The original model was the Mazda Xedos 6, which was similar in size and in engine to the BMW 3 Series. The Xedos 6 has 2 types of engines - 24 valve V6 @ 144hp named KF and 16 valve L4 @ 107hp named B6. In 1994 Xedos Mazda renewed the Xedos 6 model with changes in engine ecological standards and body exterior.
The Xedos 6 was known as the Eunos 500 in Japan. This vehicle was not sold in the USA.
The total quantity of Xedos 6 and Eunos 500 manufactured is 72101.
By 1994, there was a larger model called the Mazda Xedos 9, which was of a similar size to the BMW 5 Series. The Xedos 9 was known as the Eunos 800 in Japan, and the Mazda Millenia in the USA.
Unfortunately for Mazda, neither versions of the Xedos were popular, and a facelift in 1998 did little to improve matters, and production ceased in 2000.

Also called

Eunos 500

Production

1992-1999
1993-1999 (model years)

Class

Mid-size luxury car

The Mazda Xedos 6 was a European-market luxury car based on the Mazda CA platform also used by the Mazda Capella. Identical to the Japan-market Eunos 500, it was produced for model years 1993 through 1999 and was available in two versions, the 1.6i and 2.0 V6.
Despite the very similar appearance to the American market Mazda Millenia, the Xedos 6 and its Japanese cousin Eunos 500, this vehicle was not sold in the USA market.
The 1.6i was powered by Mazda's 1.6 L DOHC I4 producing 113 and later 107 hp (80 kW). The 2.0 V6 used Mazda's 2.0 L KF11 and KF56 V6 and produced 144 and later 140 hp (104 kW). Mazda Eunos 500 was powered by 160hp KF-ZE engine.
Production of the 2.0 V6 began on May 1, 1992 and lasted through January, 1999. The 1.6i started on August 1, 1993 and ended on August 1, 1998.
Engines:

1.6 L B6-9,B6-E DOHC I4

2.0 L KF-1 DOHC V6

The Xedos 6 platform was derived from the Mazda 626 sedan which also formed the basis of the Mazda MX-6. Also this platform has Mazda Efini (MS-8), Capella, Japan cousin of 626 GE (1991-1997) and also Ford Probe - II. Most of their parts (engine, transmission, brakes, steering and suspension) are unified.
