When buying a used sports car an Alfa Romeo is a highly desirable brand. Their unique ultra stylish designs are regularly deemed to be the best on the market and any question marks over reliability are often overcome by their pure aesthetic appeal.

The Alfa Romeo GT is one of the most pleasing to the eye of the whole range. It also suffers from huge depreciation values, which is good news for the second hand buyer. It cost around 23,000 new and can now be picked up for as little as 4,500 pounds, making it without doubt one of the best used sports cars on the market. The 1.9 litre diesel delivers an impressive 150bhp and good miles to the gallon. In many peoples eyes this is the pick of Alfa’s used cars.

The Alfa Romeo Brera came in after the GT in 2006 and although the used car discounts aren’t quite as striking, you can still buy this car for around 7,000; a stark contrast from its 25,000+ brand new price tag. The Brera has spawned a range of sportier variations since its conception, all offering good depreciation driven discounts.

The Alfa Romeo 147 first went on sale in 2001 and has been one of the brands most popular and highly acclaimed models. Its design is of iconic status and it has some reasonably reliable 1.9 litre diesel engines if you search hard enough. The 147 can be bought very cheaply due to the multitude of these used cars on the market.

The Alfa Romeo Spider began production in 1996 and can now be purchased for around 1,000. It is a sports car of the classic variety that you would imagine cruising around the continent with the top down. The Alfa Romeo is unparalleled in its designs and many people see them as an achievable goal in desirable used cars.

If you are wanting to browse any of these vehicles visit Motors, they have a huge range of vehicles all over the country.

Well, they choose scientifically and practically. There must be comfort and protection not just style, same thing with motorcycle apparel such as jackets. They must also give both comfort and protection.

However, there are some areas that need special attention. Let us discuss them one by one.

1. Material. Motorcycle jackets may either be leather or non-leather. Leather is the most famous material for jackets. However, mesh is now also widely used specially in warm season. Dupont Cordura, a form of nylon with a scale going up to approximately 1000 denier, can also be used.

2. Airing. Air circulation is necessary especially during summer where the heat of the sun can hurt the skin and can also result to a sweaty and uncomfortable ride. Riders can purchase jackets that have ventilation zippers with them. These zippers are usually found under the armpits and other ventilation holes to allow air to circulate.

Be sure that suit integration is applied to the jacket. A Velcro or a zipper at the back can provide considerable comfort. Pockets can also be added – the more, the better.

3. Conspicuity. The third thing that we have to look for is the jackets ability to be seen from afar by fellow riders as well as pedestrians. Conspicuity is the primary reason for motorcycle accidents. Failure to see another rider is a fatal flaw. To remedy this, riders must wear jackets with reflective materials or luminous colors. The use of scotelite can also result to a reflective jacket.

4. Waterproof. Finally, you have to consider that waterproof jacket is a must have in riding. Riding knows no weather be it a sunny or a rainy weather riders are always on the go. Nothing can stop them, even the harsh weather. However, if a rider rides with a non-waterproof jacket, he will likely be having illness that can preclude him from further enjoying rides.

Keeping the riders jacket waterproof is also a way to avoid the feel of being stinky, dirty and less confident.

Caveat emptor. Buyers must also be wary with those materials that easily loose its power of being waterproof.

Keep in mind what Nicholas Cage said in Wild at heart: A good jacket is like your symbol of individuality. Therefore, your jacket reflects you as a person – your style, comfort and protection.

Mercedes has long looked at the entire U.S. auto market as fair game, meaning it is not just a place where it can sell luxury vehicles, but a place to market low budget vehicles too. Unknown to some American motorists, the Mercedes name is much broader than simply being a luxury make. Like its German rival, Volkswagen, Mercedes sells cars in Europe that compete directly against the Golf as well as against the luxurious VW Phaeton. Still, introducing a budget Benz to America is a psychological hurdle that parent DaimlerChrysler is delaying making a commitment to. Lets take a look at the proposed B Class and the reasons why the model not make it to the U.S. anytime soon.

For starters, the proposed B Class is based upon Mercedes A Class line of cars. Okay, that tells you a lot! In short, the A Class is a true line of compact cars that are popular in Europe. If you were to give serious consideration to purchasing a Volkswagen Golf you would consider the A Class to be its logical competitor. A slightly larger model, the B Class, makes better use of engine placement and design to produce a car that isnt much larger than the A Class on the outside, but is almost as roomy as the S Class is on the inside [when configured as a wagon].

Beyond all of that, the B Class will be built with Mercedes electronic stability program and come equipped with more standard features of any car in its class. Basically, the B Class would be about the size of a Rabbit with all the typical Mercedes gadgets and trim that Mercedes owners prefer. So, if the B Class were to sell in the U.S., most models would likely retail for around $25,000, which is well above the price of a fully loaded Golf.

Published reports via automotive sites and blogs are indicating that the car may not make it to the U.S. due to several concerns. These include:

Cost factor. Mercedes lost plenty of money in 2005 and the company is doing all it can to return to profitability as soon as possible. Preparing any car for the U.S. market takes time and costs money; DaimlerChrysler is loathe to expend money on a project that may not be profitable at the start.

Consumer perception. A very strong psychological aspect must be overcome first and that is consumer perception. While the Mercedes name adorns a variety of vehicle levels in Europe the name is perceived as pure luxury in the U.S. Mercedes remembers Cadillacs attempt in the past to produce a budget Caddy [remember the Cimarron?] and how those attempts failed miserably.

BMW. BMW is also considering importing a budget model, the 1 Series. Expect Mercedes to get serious about the B Class if BMW imports the 1 Series.

Presently, only the sedan and wagon would be imported to the U.S. and any hatch versions would stay in Europe. With available diesel power, the B Class might thrive as customers gravitate to a car capable of cracking 40 miles to the gallon. Introducing the B Class to the American market is a risky proposition, but what is there about selling cars that isnt?

Gary has a Harley Davidson chopper at home. This took almost a year to assemble since the parts were purchased from different suppliers. Now that it is almost complete, the only thing to do will be to get the right motorcycle helmet.

The motorcycle dealer only sold bright colored helmets. After fitting this and checking it for any defects, Gary chose the yellow one since this is the most visible during the day and at night.

Gary was not happy with the helmet being in just one shade. To make this better, this person thought of either putting stickers or having this custom painted. Given that it will be another 4 to 5 years that this will have to be replaced, the owner decided to have it painted.

The local shop was able to make the changes after 2 weeks. Since it was very sunny where Gary lived, there was a need to buy other accessories.

One of the most important things that had to be purchased was a visor. Gary preferred to get the detachable kind to protect this person from the brightness of the sun and debris, which may come toward the biker.

Gary also replaced this strap to hold the helmet in place. This person believed that the two-ring type that is able to hold better than the one made of Velcro. The bike owner got this idea after reading a safety report in a magazine which said the head gear could come off if this isnt fastened securely while cruising fast or suddenly breaking on the road.

A month after changing a few accessories on the helmet, Gary was ready to hit the open road. This person not only traveled on short trips but also used this for traveling from one town to the next.

Many people admired the changes that were made by Gary. This person did not boast about it and just accepted the compliments humbly and said this can be done by anybody. All the biker has to do is use ones imagination and make it happen. Those that need a little guidance should watch other riders or read up on magazines to find it.

Gary did not pick accessories for the helmet so that people can give compliments. This person did it to express this bikers individuality. The owner felt this was the only way to feel safe and cool at the same time whenever getting on the road with the bike.

The newly-released, fuel-efficient 2008 Isuzu Ascender was recently ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 25 “Midsize Affordable SUVs” in the U.S. In terms of safety features, the 2008 Ascender received the same rating as the 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer and the 2008 GMC Envoy.

U.S. News & World Report noted that the 2008 Isuzu Ascender fared well in crash tests conducted by the federal government, particularly in side-impact crashes. According to the article in U.S. News, the Ascender received five out of five stars in government crash tests (if you’d like to see for yourself, check out the Ascender’s page on the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration’s website for the full report) for both front and rear-seat passenger safety. One of the many reasons the Isuzu Ascender earned such a favorable rating is that side-impact airbags now come standard in the 2008 model.

The Ascender comes standard with fog lights and daytime running lights, and also includes a specialized stability control system called Stabilitrak StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control. The system combines traction control with stability control systems, as well as anti-lock brakes. Together, the three are designed to help the driver maintain directional command of the vehicle.

In addition to its active safety features, the 2008 model also has upgraded passive safety features. The 2008 Ascender offers air bags for both the driver and the front passenger, as well as standard head-curtain side-impact air bags. These air bags were options on the 2007 model. The newer Ascender also features an automatic air bag suppression system designed to deactivate the front-passenger airbag and reduce airbag-related injuries.

The Isuzu Ascender also has a body style that allows for exceptional visibility from the driver’s seat. In comparison, U.S. News & World Report noted that, with regards to the 2008 Mazda CX-7, “test drivers have expressed concern, however, about impaired front visibility due to the sharp design of the CX-7′s windshield.”

But safety isn’t the only reason to get behind the wheel of an Ascender. U.S. News & World report, in the overall impression of the 2008 Isuzu Ascender, noted that the Ascender “delivers and an outstanding warranty and smooth ride” and also pointed out the SUV’s superior towing capabilities. The 2WD model can tow, when properly equipped, up to 5,800 pounds.

In general, reviewers were impressed with the Ascender’s V6 engine power and the way the SUV handles. Kelley Blue Book noted that “the Ascender feels controlled and agile.” Another reviewer from Auto Media pointed out that the Ascender runs “smoothly and quietly” and “accelerates vigorously from a standstill.”

According to a review in the Orlando Sentinel, the Ascender beats the Ford Explorer when off-roading. Comparing the two, the reviewer praised, “ the solid rear axle of the Ascender is a better arrangement, giving the Isuzu more agility in severe off-road traction situations.” U.S. News also noted that the 2008 Ford Explorer’s “heavy steering detracts from overall performance.”
Intellichoice has not yet rated the 2008 Isuzu Ascender, but did recognize Isuzu’s entire 2006 line up as best in their class for low costs.

As a beginner mountain biker, it is quite natural for you to get a bit overwhelmed with all the mountain bike accessories that you see in a bike store or shop. Although there are many types of mountain bike accessories being sold in the market today, you do not really need all of them so dont waste your money on the things that you will not really have much use when you go biking. Instead of buying those fancy mountain bike accessories, invest on safety gears and accessories.

The helmet is one of the most important mountain bike accessories that you need. Unfortunately, a lot of bikers often do not wear helmets when they go out that they end up suffering from severe head injuries during a fall. To safeguard your head when negotiating difficult mountain bike trails, you need to wear a reliable headgear. A good helmet is your best friend when you are out there negotiating some difficult mountain bike trails so make sure that you get one.

Aside from buying mountain bike helmet, you will need gloves to protect your hands. In many cases, you need to grip the handle of your bike tightly when you negotiate difficult trails so you need gloves to cushion your hands. Furthermore, is case of a fall, you hands are the first things that usually touch the ground. If you are not wearing gloves, you could suffer from serious injuries when you hit your hands on some sharp objects like rocks when you try to break a fall.

What type of gloves should you get? Full-fingered gloves are a lot safer than those that only protect your palm and half the length of your fingers. Although gloves that do not cover up to the fingers tips are more comfortable than the full-fingered type, you are still at risk of hurting your fingers during a fall.

Your mountain bike accessories will not be complete without the eyes protection. You need to protect your eyes when you go out biking. You can run into some deep trouble if something gets into your eyes and blur your eyesight. Always remember that small particles and some insects can easily get into your eyes while you negotiate mountain bike trails.

When it comes to mountain bike accessories, the mountain bike shoes should be on your list. You need to buy mountain bike shoes to keep your feet comfortable while biking. Note that your feet could feel a bit sore after pedaling for a while so make sure that you wear comfortable shoes.

Imagine riding on your motorcycle down a woods lined road, on a late October afternoon, speeding along at 55 miles per hour. You have your skull cap on, your leather jacket zipped up, chaps and face mask fastened tightly, but nothing for your hands. Your hands start to go numb from the cold, and it’s becoming harder operate your motorcycle. You stop in at a rural shop in an attempt to rectify the situation. To your dismay, all the store offers for hand protection, are a pair of cotton garden gloves, They would definitely solve the problem of being able to operate your motorcycle, but they do not match your carefully planned out attire. If only you hand spent the small amount of money to purchase those leather full fingered gloves when you ordered the rest of your motorcycle gear. You wouldn’t be in the situation you are now.

The best thing about motorcycle gloves are that they offer plenty of protection for the rider, without making the motorcycle rider’s gear seem outdated, or even mismatched. Many styles are available for purchase. There are fingerless motorcycle gloves, full fingered motorcycle gloves, Gel Palm motorcycle gloves, and Kevlar motorcycle gloves. Most times they are offered in a unisex style, meaning that they will fit a man or a woman, and come with a variety of sizes and designs to match a motorcycle rider’s gear.

The use of fingerless gloves is a great way to have fine motor control of your fingers and still offer some protection to the rest of your hand. They are often used for light motorcycle riding, and not generally used for long distance trips. You can find them with or without studs, with zippers or Velcro straps, and some even with designs like the USA Flag.

Making a purchase of full fingered motorcycle gloves can make the difference between a long trip and a short one. They are offered in a range of styles and designs. You can find mitts that cover all of the fingers in one pouch, or individually fingered gloves. There is the concho style, gauntlet style, fringed style, each coming with zippers, straps, or Velcro. There are also sizes and styles available for women only.

Perhaps you have developed carpel tunnel syndrome from years of riding. Gel Palm style motorcycle gloves can be a solution to this common issue. They offer a damped feeling in your hands, lessening the amount of vibration felt in the palms and wrist area. Velcro, zippers and straps are offered for fasteners, and have a few different styles of motorcycle glove. They are offered in a unisex fingerless, or full fingered style.

KEVLAR is an advanced technology from DuPont that helps transform ordinary products into extraordinary ones. It combines high strength with light weight, and comfort with protection. KEVLAR is 5 times stronger than steel on an equal weight basis, yet, at the same time, is lightweight, flexible and comfortable. Products made with KEVLARfrom protective apparel and sports equipment to automotive parts and ropes used on the Mars Pathfinderhelp those who use them to do more, to go farther, to be even better at what they do.

Chinas Chery Automotive Group is getting set to import as many as five vehicles into the US starting in the summer of 2007. These 2008 models are reportedly going to be cheaper than competing models in their respective classes, undercutting some models by as much as $10,000 per car. I have been doing a little investigating and have learned more about the Chery QQ, the three door compact that will retail for just $6995. Hold onto your hats as I read off the long list of standard features for its incredible, low price.

Just when you think you have seen everything, along comes the QQ. Reportedly, QQ stands for Quality and Quick as the car is made from remnants of destroyed Soviet tanks that battled with China during a protracted border skirmish in 1970. In addition, the car zips from 0 to 48 before the engine craps out. Oh, well zero to sixty would have been nice, but alas…

Standard features for the QQ will include:

Seats, front and rear

Seatbelts with air bags

Glass, all around as needed

Steering Wheel with horn

Dashboard

Removable Ashtray

Window Regulators {4}

Rubber Gaskets

Plastic Molding

Polyester Tires {4}

Hubcaps with lug nuts

Door Handles with driver and front passenger keyholes

Antenna

Truck Key with Keyhole

Headlights

Tail lights

Turn signals

Brakes

Shocks

BumpersDoors, hood, trunk and roof are all standard; body side moldings will likely be extra. Engine, transmission, radiator, exhaust, and countless other parts will also be included once they are removed from junked Yugos and retrofitted for the QQ.

Optional equipment will likely include a radio, comfortable seats, air conditioning, and perhaps even a rear window defroster. Oh, by the way, General Motors has sued and won a judgment against Chery declaring that the Chery name sounds too close to their Chevy name. Chery has agreed and will likely adopt the Forg name for all cars imported to the US. Stay tuned!
