Caruso Company director, Robert Caruso was hired to direct the latest Sling Media branding piece for the 2012 CES Show. To reinforce the technology’s “Watch Your TV Anywhere” slogan, the whimsical clip follows a young dude through his ordinary day followed by an extraordinary “Little Buddy” TV.

Caruso directs “Share Life” for Path

(CC) director Robert Caruso was hired on to direct a second brand video for the photo sharing app, Path. This newest video presents a variety of intimate family vignettes that showcase the personal photo and video sharing features of the app.

The video employs a split screen presentation of a story that uniquely contrasts and compliments a wide range of family moments. Each pairing of images, screen left and right, reinforce Path’s themes of sharing and family. Some show the simple sending and receiving of moments, others play off the thematic, metaphoric or compositional balance of our personal lives. The piece captures the ordinary, the special, the happy and the introspective glimpses into a family and the lives the two young children. The video aspires to leave the viewer feeling moved by the power of Path’s intimate connections.

NiceTry Pictures is delighted to announce that our short film “Music Box” will be screening at the 7th Annual Jecheon International Music and Film Festival held in Jecheon City, Korea! The renowned event is heralded as the largest music and film festival in all of Asia.

“Music Box” is a short film produced by Caruso Co.’s short film arm, NiceTry Pictures. The piece was directed by Robert Caruso and Angela Leaper. The eight minute movie tells the simple story of how friendship comes to a young girl after her discovery of a magical music box.

Jecheon International Music and Film Festival
JIMFF is the first festival in Korea to celebrate films with the theme of music, Jecheon International Music & Film Festival (JIMFF) aims to expand the new film genre and contribute to diversification of film festivals. The main program shows music-themed films and documentaries from around the world, while the music program stages multiple concerts featuring various popular and alternative musicians. In addition, up to 30 aspiring film music directors are accepted into the Jecheon International Music & Film Academy for a chance to learn film music composition and production from expert film music directors. Moreover, a wide array of local dining, sightseeing and accommodation are available nearby for an enhanced JIMFF experience.

Timbuk2 Bags Video Made In San Francisco

(CC) recently helped our director pal Greg Tuzin on this awesome piece for San Francisco bag company, Timbuk2. They approached him to showcase their unique custom bag manufacturing done in the heart of San Francisco’s Mission District.

The piece was shot exclusively on the Canon t2i cameras utilizing a grab bag of lenses – netting some pretty impressive results.

The shooting was a true team effort that included cinematography from Dylan Nolfi, Brent Bishop, Greg Tuzin and our own Robert Caruso.

Mr. Tuzin was responsible for all editorial and finishing work. Nice job Greg!

Caruso Co. Director Robert Caruso recently completed the launch video entitled “Nervous At Home” for software startup, Path.

(CC) is delighted to announce that the :90 second clip has been featured as a “Pick Of The Day” by the advertising and design site, Creativity.

Founded by Dave Morin, Shawn Fanning, Dustin Mierau and Matt Van Horn, Path is taking the iphone app world by storm with their Personal Network photo sharing model.

Path App Video Directed By Caruso

Caruso Company director Robert Caruso was hired on to create and helm the launch video for Path, the new social photo app for the iPhone. Path, based in San Francisco is founded by internet luminaries Dave Morin (Facebook) Shawn Fanning Dustin Mierau (Napster) and Matt Van Horn (Digg) and backed by a team of A-list angel investors.

The goal of the Path iPhone app is to create a personal environment to share images with those closest to you (i.e. your best friends and family, not a million Twitter followers).

The :90 web video showcases Path’s unique personal network with a simple boy meets girl story that communicates how Path allows users to share their most important emotional moments, images and paths with their closest friends and family.

The clip also features the music track “Something Good Can Work” by the phenomenally talented indy artists, Two Door Cinema Club.

The 2010 / 2011 season will be hosted by the Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award-winner America Ferrera and will air on PBS.
