Only 24 will be produced and will be priced at $110,000 and includes a 1-day track performance driving course at Lonestar Motorsports Park. Watch this short video and listen to the LS9 fire up and rev a couple times. This is the engine found in the new Corvette ZR1.

For a perfect symbiosis of maximum power yield, exemplary running smoothness and durability beyond reproach, the NOVITEC ROSSO engine specialists precision-match the new components with a newly programmed electronic engine management system.

Just as important are the larger cooling circuits for water and oil as well as dedicated cooling circuits for both compressors and the intercoolers.

The extensive NOVITEC ROSSO RACE Bi-Compressor conversion, available for 47,000 Euros for this and all other F430 Spider models, offers unique performance. With a power output of 696 hp / 512 kW at 8,400 rpm the NOVITEC ROSSO conversion surpasses the production engine by 186 hp / 136.9 kW. Peak torque grows from standard 470 Nm to 682 Nm at 6,300 rpm.

Driving performance improves just as impressively: The tuned Scuderia Spider 16M sprints from rest to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, and reaches 200 km/h after just 9.7 seconds. The 300-km/h barrier is shattered after just 23.8 seconds. Top speed for the open-top mid-engine sports car increases from 315 to more than 330 km/h.

For further optimized handling of the lightweight sports car NOVITEC ROSSO offers an update from the standard 19-inch tires to three-piece 20-inch wheels. The NOVITEC ROSSO NF3 double-spoke wheels in size 8.5Jx20 in front and in size 12Jx20 in back widen the track and thus allow even higher cornering speeds. The custom-tailored high-performance tires in size 235/30 ZR 20 in front and in size 325/25 ZR 20 on the rear axle are provided by technology partner PIRELLI.

NOVITEC ROSSO sport springs lower the center of gravity and further improve agile handling. For added daily utility of the Scuderia Spider 16M NOVITEC ROSSO offers a hydraulic lift system for the front axle. At the push of a button the front is raised by 40 millimeters and makes navigating obstacles such as curbs, speed bumps and garage entries easier. The front axle reverts to normal position at a second push of the button or automatically once the car reaches a speed of 80 km/h.

To give the Spider exterior an even more striking appearance NOVITEC ROSSO offers blacks taillights, side markers and reflectors.

The lightweight-construction interior can be refined with exclusive NOVITEC ROSSO options as well. The ergonomically shaped leather/carbon-fiber NOVITEC ROSSO sport steering wheel features a flattened lower rim for easier entering and exiting. The NOVITEC ROSSO carbon-fiber shift paddles are longer than their production counterparts and make manual gearshifts of the F1-SuperFast2 transmission even easier.

Michael Schumacher has finally been revealed as THE STIG! well one of a couple STIG’s. Watch the opening of the first episode of the 13th season (broadcast June 21 2009) of the popular British motor show Top Gear, where THE STIG

The STIG is Top Gear’s own personal race car driver who has driven several of the best time laps recorded and incorporated into each shows race track feature.

He appeared in the studio after the STIG piloted Schumacher’s all black Ferrari FXX around the Top Gear Test Track, achieving their fastest lap time for a production car of 1:10.7.

However, at the end of the show Schumacher was shown to commit many elementary driving errors in a lap of the test track, causing Jeremy Clarkson to remark “I’m not sure if Michael Schumacher is the Stig”. This, along with Schumacher being credited as a guest star, separately from the Stig’s presenter credit, both hint towards it being an elaborate joke.

This “review” calls into question all speeding and stunt driving tickets issued by Mahoney-Bruer in the last year and a half in the GTA (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). It is possible that the review could go back as far as 3 or 4 years.

Mahoney-Bruer, 49, was recently arrested and charged with 3 counts of breach of trust and one count of attempting to obstruct justice after an investigation by the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) Professional Standards Bureau. The 12-year member of the force is accused of using false evidence to lay charges against three drivers last month. He has been suspended with pay.

An additional 50 criminal charges – including impaired driving, dangerous driving and non-traffic related charges – in which Mahoney-Bruer was involved as an investigator, are also under review. Police say it’s unclear how old some of the charges under review could be. The OPP says a “small number” of charges have already been stayed by the Crown.

GTA Street Racing Map

In the Greater Toronto Area, street racing seems to be centred in the area of Peel between Orangeville and Brampton, spilling over into nearby areas of York Region around Kleinburg and Woodbridge.

The one standout exception to the general pattern is M5J, the postal area that takes in the waterfront condos downtown. This is, I hope coincidentally, the neighbourhood across Yonge St. from the Toronto Star. M5J has the third-highest rate in the GTA, and (not to give away next week’s map) the fifth-highest rate in the province.

Other than M5J, there is no clear concentration in the 416 area code, other than M2L, in the Bayview and York Mills area.

One interesting thing is that this map doesn’t have very much in common with the GTA impaired driving map. Accused street racers seem concentrated in one area, mostly, while impaired drivers were spread all over the GTA with higher concentrations in more car-dependent areas.

Low-population L0L, along the 404 in Whitchurch-Stouffville, had only three suspensions during the period but is included on the map out of consistency.

He admitted that a Verde Ithaca Gallardo Spyder was a near buy a while back, but instead opted to go for a white one. I can only assume the ALLURE of the GREEN ENVY was too much to handle and when he saw this one off JAVA GREEN AUDI R8 the temptation was just too strong to deny!!!

Stumbling upon the sights of this car has got to be one of the coolest things I’ve seen this year so far. I am an EXTREME supporter of people and there love for GREEN exotics, my favorite being Verde Ihaca on the LP640.

Supercar tuner Edo Competition is the first shop to deliver a complete aftermarket performance and styling upgrade packages for the Ferrari California Spider.

Edo Competition have completely re-tuned the ECU of the 4.3L V8 and has also installed a brand new engineered high performance exhaust system which features adjustable butterfly valves and custom designed high flow catalytic converters. These modifications add 40hp and 12 ft-lb of torque for a total deliverance of 500hp and 369ft-lb of torque!

The Edo Competition Ferrari California now performs the 0-62 mph (100km/h) in 3.9 seconds and deliver a top speed of 196mph (315km/h). (This is a +5km/h improvement compared to the factory model).

Yesterday while lurking the boards over at Ferrarichat.com I fell upon a thread titled “Kim Kardashian in a rimmed up F430″, you’ll have to excuse me but i had no idea who she was, all i cared about really was that there was going to be pics of an F430. Enjoy the pics guys!!!

To my surprise i was happy to see that both the F430 and person in question where HOT AS HELL!!! I clicked through the entire thread and found more pics of her with other exotics including a Black Gallardo Spyder and a Wide Body Bentley GTC. I didnt bother to really inform myself more about who she was other then aparently she is dating Reggie Bush who is a star Running back for the New Orlean Saints.

With last weeks recent sad news that a Silver McLaren F1 Catches Fire and was seriously damaged due to a fire that started while it was being driven. Here is a Ferrari F430 Spider which was involved in an accident, flew into the field/ditch and exploded into flames! The young driver apparently was speeding on a Romanian highway and lost control smoking 2 oncoming vehicles. Luckily, all 7 people involved in this car crash only suffered minor injuries.

The USA Air Force has got 2 new recruitments. They are the Air Force spec Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang. This is an innovative move by the Air Force as a part of the 2009 Supercar tour, a recruiting initiative will hit high schools across the country to highlight career opportunities in the US Air Force. These two are sure to have the students’ eyeballs all over them. Who wouldn’t want to drive one of these?? The best bit? Wait till you see the interiors!

The Mustang gets done in white matte-pearlescent paint and is named the ‘X-1′. So got the connection? It reminds us of the BELL X-1, the first ever aircraft to exceed the speed of sound. The Mustang? Well, with some 500 bhp on tap, it can provide the on-road excitement, if you can control it with a joystick that is. Yup, you read it right. The interiors seem to have been lifted straight out of a fighter jet. Apart from the joystick, you get night and thermal vision systems, single ejection seat and GPS. Finishing touch is provided by the LSD doors.

The Challenger is called ‘Vapor’. It was designed to mimic the Stealth Bomber. It uses the same RADAR absorbing paint as the original and even uses a Stealth mode exhaust that makes it run silently! How fair is that? The characteristic V-8 rumble that can start earthquakes has been muted!

The Stealth Challenger gets biometric latches on the Scissor doors, proximity sensors and roof-mounted camera (1/4th mile range). Carbon fibre trim and custom body kits adorne the Dodge. while the Mustang is a single seater, the Dodge can seat two and has aircraft style throttle lever and twin carbon fibre wheels. It sports the same features as that of the Mustang but nothing has been mentioned about the powertrain.

Hats off to Galpin who modified and tuned these fighter style marketing toys! Galpin were the tuners responsible for the SCYTHE which Anthony saw at the 2008 SEMA Show (596 Photo Galleries).

Beau Boeckman’s boys at Galpin collaborated with technical and mechanical airmen to ensure the cars have an authentic Air Force aesthetic. “For Galpin Auto Sports to be commissioned by the most technologically advanced organization on earth is truly an honor” Boeckmann said in a statement. “This is one of the most extraordinary and important projects that we have ever done.”

It is hard to estimate how much the most technologically advanced organization on Earth paid for these two.

This Ferrari NetTop Computer was showcased last week at Computex 2009. Computex is one of the largest annual computer and technology fairs in the world held at the Taipei World Trade Center in Taipei, Taiwan.

Although this Ferrari NetTop Computer might look like an old school 1980’s VHS tape rewinder it actually has an Intel Atom Chipset, optical drive and DVI output. This is a one-off and not for sale.

BTW, a NetTop = bare bones mini desktop computer for Internet/Web/Document based applications.
