The best source of business in the world is referral marketing. But is there a way to get referrals that is systematic, methodical? Can you make referrals a part of your practice just like doing crowns or routine prophies?

I recently completed a referral marketing workshop with some of my students and I discovered that there are some doctors who are killing it with referrals. They have shut their practice to any patients except referrals. And they never had it so good — and neither did their patients.

If this interests you I hope you join my list and I will let you know when I am ready to release a referral marketing system that I think you will get a lot out of. The referral system will help you regardless of where you are at. Whether you decide to go 100% referrals, or just to improve what you are doing now, I think you'll get a lot out of it.

You also get my $59.95 famous underground bestselling classic (newest edition) on dental marketing and case acceptance at no charge, instantly via download.

The Google Nobody Knows — How to Use the Content Network to Build an Enormous Practice
Hi, Richard here. (...)

The Google Nobody Knows — How to Use the Content Network to Build an Enormous Practice

Hi, Richard here. I want to show you how you can harness the Google Content Network to load up your house list with prospects who come in and get your dentistry.

How to beat your competitors by doing things a little differently.

Using what I call the Google Nobody Knows.

Why Google Search Advertising is an Uphill Battle

Most dentists who advertise do so on Google Search. So there are 20 guys that patients can choose from. Patients will click here, click there, and end up confused:

What a hodgepodge.

And you pay through the nose for this.

Too often, the beneficiaries are Google shareholders.

But wait…why ADVERTISE on search, if you can get free clicks without advertising, simply by using search engine optimization?

Why search engine optimization is often the most expensive way to get patients

Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, is quite expensive to do right. I have had writers create independent original dental content. And then post that content and build quality backlinks to dental client sites.

Does it work?

Yes. But it is quite inefficient.

It draws people from all over your city. All over your state. All over the country. Even from India.

Inefficient…

The reason is that you get a lot of clicks from people outside your geography.

"Free" Search engine traffic is NOT free

When you do search engine optimization, it costs a lot of money. "Free" is not free.

It takes a lot of labor and know-how to get to the top of Google.

I know because I do it all the time.

And, back to the "inefficient" part — when you spend money getting to the top of Google, you are spending money to get a bunch of clicks. And only a fraction of these search clicks are people in your area.

Yes, you *try* to make sure people search for "implant dentist northampton" for your Northampton practice, but they will get search results from all over…different states and even different countries.

So with search engine traffic, you pay considerable amounts for it. And you pay a lot for clicks outside your area.

That is why I have grown disillusioned with SEO for geographically tight businesses such as dentists.

I still use it for some clients and for businesses I'm involved in. But I prefer the safer and cheaper route of purchasing advertising on the web that is geographically targeted.

Why paying for geo-targeted advertising is more effective and cheaper than SEO

The key when you are paying for traffic is to pay for geo-targeted people who are within driving distance.

And to turn every click possible into a good quality lead.

So that means paying for geographically targeted traffic and that means often times using Google Search advertising.

It turns out that when you advertise on Google Search, the big obstacle is often not enough volume.

By the time you add up all the people who search for you, and divide by the number of advertisers and "Free search" results they can click on…and take into account all the search results that are in a different state or country…you don't have enough volume of clicks in many cases to build your practice when you only advertise on Google Search.

And these leads you do get are very expensive although they can be high quality.

I find Google Search advertising really pays. But it usually doesn't create enough patients. I want more for my doctors.

That's why I want to introduce you to….the Google Content Network. Because it provides…

More Geotargeted Visitors to Your Site: the Google Content Network

Google Search only lets you advertise on the search pages.

But the Google Content Network lets you advertise on sites all over the Internet:

Beauty sites

Cosmetic dentistry information sites

Health sites

Implant information sites

And many more…

Where your next patients hang out. Not just on Google Search (google.com).

And Yahoo and Microsoft have similar content networks.

Best of all…the Google Content network geographically targets visitors. So you can buy advertising on sites all over the web…but Google only shows your ad to people inside your practice geography.

So you get a lot of geographically targeted visitors you can pay a reasonable price for…

And these multiply your volume of qualified visitors to your website.

These visitors are geo-targeted. So you can get clicks from people who are not in distant lands, but who live or work close to your office.

So People in your area click on your ad…Now What?

Once people click, you've got to grab 'em. Especially when people click from the Content Network. They don't have the patience to look through your website. They want to get something now, something quick, and then continue with what they were doing.

The Content Network people who respond are interrupting what they were doing. So you better have a compelling ad. And you better offer something really good.

That's what I have created. A complete system for…

Advertising all over the Internet using Google Content Network,

Getting those people who click to "opt in" to a mailing list

Making an offer to those people, so they accept the offer and appear in your chair.

Why it starts with an "opt in" lead

Most dentists who advertise, make that about 99.99%, try to get a person to click onto their home page.

And if the person doesn't book an appointment, the money spent to get that person to the website is wasted.

I do things differently.

I try to get the person who clicks to opt in to a mailing list.

Then I send that person to your home page.

So if they set an appointment, great.

But most people who click aren't ready for an appointment. Since I have their email address (and sometimes their physical address) I can email them on your behalf.

It has proven time and again to work — that people who receive these emails after awhile will appear in your office.

I write extremely entertaining and informative emails. People enjoy getting them.

It's the third, fifth or tenth email that gets them motivated to set an appointment.

All this is done with their full permission and in compliance with "anti spam" laws and good sense.

How you can get a high "Opt in" rate

The secret to getting a high "opt in" rate is to offer something of value to the patient.

I use video for this purpose.

Most opt in forms only get 5% to opt in. My approach is getting over 20% of people who land on that page to opt in.

I get about a 20% conversion rate for people who click by offering them an instant video:

Now they have opted in, and I can send them along to your practice website. Some of them will call you right then. Most will just move on with what they were doing.

And if you use this list you are building and work the list, you will have a steady stream of new patients.

So what are the results?

Who else wants high click throughs, high opt-ins, and high conversion rates?

Normally, dentists experience maybe 1% or 1.5% click through rates on their Google Search ads. And prospects click on multiple ads. Volume is often not high enough to build a list quickly.

And nobody gets opt-in rates that are higher than 5% or so…

Take a look at the results I have been getting for my clients:

Notice the two circled numbers at the bottom. $5.61 average cost per opt in lead. And 20.79% rate of people who click on this ad fill in their name and email and request more information.

That is far, far higher than any dentist I am aware of.

Imagine if you could build your practice like this:

$5.61 X 100 leads per month = $561

Pay me, say, $400 for running the whole thing.

Now you've spent $961 per month.

Imagine that out of 100 leads, if I work them for you (or you work them for yourself), you get 5% to become new patients. That is 5 new patients. Multiply by $1600 which I find is often the average production for first year patients from the Internet, and you've got $8000 in the door.

Not counting referrals. Not counting higher numbers for larger cases such as sedation dentistry or veneers or full mouth restorations.

Wowzers.

Disclaimer: Your numbers may be worse or better. I cannot say. Don't depend upon anything I tell you, please.

So now you can watch this video, and see for yourself…

How to build your "dental sales funnel" so you have a continuing stream of patients

How the Content Network is the Google Nobody Knows…and why you want to get real familiar with it

Where will your ads appear, if not on Google.com?

How can you bait the hook so clicks turn into leads turn into patients?

So what should you do next?

I am throwing the doors open to new clients in a few days. I only allow people to join through email. So you have to get on my email list if you are interested. I'll email you tips on search engine optimization and advertising. And I will email you telling you when we are letting new clients join us. The number I work with is always very limited.

I have a first batch of clients that I will be offering future services to entirely without charge, as a thank-you for their being the earlier guinea pigs. New folks will pay $400 per month plus the Google ad charges. In return I will run the whole show — provide the ads, the management, the landing pages, and work the list.

You still have to do dentistry but the results from advertising have been exceptional and I think you will be delighted.

If you want to have the chance of getting in on this, please provide me with your name and email address.

Here's a quick way to maybe double the number of patients you get from your dental practice website

Did I get your attention?

Thought so.

The power of a headline, no? But we'll get to headlines later (I have a really easy way for you to get your website a lot better through a better headline, but we're doing something even easier and I think higher ROI here.)

It's hard to go and make major changes on your dental practice website and alter headlines and all that.

So today on this video I have a quick fix for you.

It takes maybe 5 minutes to set up.

It could double the number of patients who you get from your website.

Not long ago, I was fortunate enough to do a conversion intensive telephone course with Kathy Larson.

Kathy is a genius at how to work things out with the team and the office so you get a high conversion rate.

Many, many dentists know Kathy and her fabulous work. What few know is that she ran very successful restaurants in a prior life. She has been responsible for applying her operational genius and management savvy to the dental world and has an amazing track record.

I interviewed Kathy and this is a 90 minute conference call where she reveals:

How to figure out the problems with your office set up and fix them

How to handle that crucial first phone call

What to do when people first walk into the door the first time

How to conduct an in-office toure

What not to say to patients when you meet them

So much, much more

So here is the audio recording in case you missed this fabulous conversion intensive.

Hi! Richard Geller here.

I'm doing one more little prelaunch before the Big Launch.

This is my Guinea Pig Launch. Even though I've gotten great results for my dentists so far in only a matter of maybe 8 weeks, this is still somewhat a work in progress.

I will work with the first 5 dentists who enroll. The official Guinea Pig launch date is May 1, Thursday. Once I have the five, the window will close and no more will be offered until probably the Big Launch (and I expect that to cost a lot more.)

You are the beneficiary. Take a look at this quick video:

Anyhow, here's the deal.

Only 5 blogsites will be offered now.

Remember:

I set up a blogsite for you, one per dentist in each neighborhood.

I post around 18 original articles every month.

I promote those articles around the web on social media sites.

I offer a free report and videos to people who visit the blogsite.

I email those people who registered and gave permission to be emailed.

I get them to call you for an appointment either now or later. Sometimes immediately. Sometimes months later.

You will pay not $1500, but $400 now, and $400 per month. And it is all 30 days notice to terminate so there is no long term contract.

And here are questions you may have…

Who am I?

I've been working with dentists since 1990. Author of the famous book on case acceptance and dental marketing now in its third edition. I raised $14 million with my partner, my brother David, and launched our last company.

My latest company has been around since 2000 and we've done work for the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, dentists, hundreds of other professionals. Even DuPont and the George Washington University. David is the smart partner and I'm the good looking one. Or is it the other way around? Actually, he is a technology whiz and I'm a marketing whiz so it's worked out pretty well.

I have a whole technology to do this and people to do it based upon many years of experience in the cutting edge of Internet marketing.

What's a blogsite?

Saying it's a blog is like saying Mount Everest is a hill

It pings about 40 different search engines and directories every time a new article is added

It is optimized with special technology to attract search engine spiders and avoid search engine penalties

It is promoted on social media sites where people spend (literally for many) 99% of their online time

It gets you phone calls

It builds your mailing list

It gets rankings on Google for more and more and more keywords over time

Why blogsites?

Blogsites provide fresh high quality content to Google and many search engines and directories. This raises rankings on Google.

Over time, a blogsite will own phrases like "Richmond sedation dentist" or "Can I straighten my teeth with Invisalign in Richmond" or whatever…the long tail of search keywords. Traffic will continue to increase and increase.

A static website that just sits there doesn't have a prayer against a properly managed, properly promoted blogsite, when it comes to building search engine ranking or traffic.

What does the dentist have to do?

Nothing. I do all the work.

How does the blogsite bring patients in?

Two ways. It drives traffic from social media sites and Google to the blogsite, and some of these folks call you for an appointment.

It gets a lot of that traffic to opt in with their name and email, so they will be ready for your dentistry when they are more receptive.

Does the blogsite point to the practice website?

We put contact info including your name, phone number, address, a map of the office, and your photo. It doesn't link to your site in order to avoid people jumping to your site and never opting in with their email address. But we can link to your site if you want.

What are the blog posts like?

You can see some on the www.CrownsBridgesVeneers.com site.

We take care of writing original text and posting interesting photos. We get all the rights to everything so you don't have to do anything.

Are the blog posts original?

The blog posts include photographs and articles that I have written for you. They are all original. I have a technology to make them original even though they are not written from scratch just for you.

Can the dentist edit the blog post?

You can create new blog posts.

You can create your own videos and insert them. It's really fun and easy! You can link to them in emails you send to patients.

You can create your own audio recordings.

You can edit blog posts that we make for you.

It's easy to do it all yourself if you want to.

You don't have to — you don't have to do a thing.

Who owns the names and email addresses that the blogsites bring in?

You do.

We run the list for you. We email to people for you. But the people are yours.

What kind of results should a dentist expect?

Slow at first, then building. Here are a few data points from CrownsBridgesVeneers which was launched only a few months ago and blogsites in the first private launch that were added maybe 8 weeks ago.

The site got indexed by Google in a few days (rather than months as most sites take that long.)

It gets 15 or 20 unique visitors each day now.

People are joining the list.

The doctor will begin to get phone calls and patients

That said, do not expect results to be instant. It takes several months to gain momentum although you may get a patient right away. The key is to expect long term results in the form first of traffic, then phone calls and new patients.

Is there any contract period?

No. It's month to month. 30 days notice required to cancel by either you are me.

International okay?

Sure. English speaking countries where you want to get more high quality new patients. The site will be in American English but celebrities and dentistry is the same.

Are there exclusive territories?

Yes. By neighborhood. So in Los Angeles, you will be the only Westwood dentist, or the only North Hollywood dentist, for example.

hat's the story on this guinea pig launch?

On May 1 at 9:00AM Eastern, I will offer five lucky dentists a blogsite:

Not $1500, but $400 to start

$400 per month thereafter billed to the same card

Stop whenever you want (but why would you want to?) with 30 days notice

All sites offered subject to these simple terms.

To enroll, call me at 703-637-9163 ext.101

Quickfix #1: Raise your dental website rankings on Google with this simple trick
The #1 complaint I hear from dentists is their websites aren’t producing enough patients. (...)

Quickfix #1: Raise your dental website rankings on Google with this simple trick

The #1 complaint I hear from dentists is their websites aren’t producing enough patients. In this Quick Fix article I will explain what you can do today to start getting new patients from your existing dental practice website.

In short, a quick fix for your website.

A quick fix is a very specific instruction or piece of knowledge that helps you in one area.

My quick fixes in this and future articles will be stuff you can implement today that will start getting you either more patients, or new cases from existing patients.

Just so you know who I am…I helped launch the world’s first really popular intraoral video camera. I worked with thousands of dentists and I have written an all time bestselling book on case acceptance and dental marketing. I am an expert in dental practice marketing and dental website advertising.

Today we are going to discuss how to fix up your website to get more people to become patients. I will focus on what works, why it works, and what you can do today to put this quick fix into practice.

Backlinks get you high rankings on Google

The first thing you need to understand is that Google puts you nearer to the top in a given search if you have backlinks.

Backlinks are links from other sites to yours.

A link includes several parts. The part that a user sees is called anchor text. The hidden part is the address (and sometimes other information) that the user will go to if she clicks.

Backlinks are the secret to getting high ranking on Google. You can have quantities of backlinks, but more important is the quality of backlinks.

What makes a good quality backlink?

A good quality backlink is from a high authority site. That means not your next door neighbor’s free website that was done in twenty minutes when he was in high school. A high authority site is recognized by Google as a very important site.

Google.com is a high authority site.

Yahoo.com is another.

YouTube is another.

So is Facebook and Myspace.

So is nytimes.com.

So, if you have a backlink from one of those sites, that will create a much higher importance for that backlink.

So one thing you can do is build a bunch of backlinks to your site. But be careful not to make a mistake.

Don’t hire a company to generate 100 or 1000 backlinks. That will generate suspicious activity that may get you a “Google slap”.

Aim for creating a few backlinks a day, or even a few every week.

And build your backlinks so they link deeply into your site, not just to the home page.

Do-it-yourself guide to building dental website backlinks

So let’s say your website is:

www.HawaiiSurferDental.com

Then what you do is, you link to www.HawaiiSurferDental.com/about_cavities.html

That beats a link back to just the homepage.

This type of link, that is to somewhere deep in your website, is called a deep link. It has more value than just a link to your homepage.

But we aren’t done. We can build even more value by making the link come from an article that contains information about, well, cavities.

Ideally, you write a little article or a few paragraphs. Put those paragraphs on a high authority website. And link to a page on your own dental practice website that is about that exact topic.

So write a few paragraphs about cavities. Then post those articles on a free website like Myspace. And put a link back to a page deep in your website about cavities.

That is the essence of creating backlinks, something that is a quick fix that you can follow.
