Summary of the 3 days course:

17 March 2012 (Saturday)
Pil left in the afternoon. Aden insisted to send them off t airport. After that, I brought Aden and Adele to my mom's place.
They took afternoon nap there and later Aden followed jiujiu's family to Bulat's piano class. So I took the time to bath and feed Adele. When Aden came back, he was so excited and telling me that he played piano and so on. I am intended to send him to piano class, but he refused to go previously. Now, he told me he wants to go but when he is older! ;P

After having dinner at my mom's place, we left at 8pm as we thought daddy was alone at home. But Ben was with him when we reached home!

Aden and Adele slept early that night. LOL! And I have more free time!

18 March 2012 (Sunday)
First thing we do is to bath the 2 monkeys in the morning. After that, we went out for breakfast.

I think we reached home before 12noon that day. Ccw quickly cooked porridge for little Adele. :) Ccw is very proud that Adele wants to eat what he cooked. Recalling few years back, when Aden refused to take what ccw cooked, I have to "supervise" him in the kitchen! *Funny*

Then it is the afternoon nap time for the kids and FREE time for the parents. Yeah...but we also take a short nap! ;p

When they wake up again, we bathed the kids and dress them up. While waiting for ccw to get ready to go out, I brought the 2 monkeys to waipo's house.

We had dinner at Elephant. As usual, Aden enjoyed the pasta and oreo milkshake there! He ordered orange juice, but later after take a sip of the oreo milkshake, he told me this: Mummy, *pointing at the glass of oreo milkshake* you and I share share this! And, he drank it all! @@

The next activity is to go shopping! Trying to get a gift for my dad on his bday! But we cant find any yet.

The 2 kids fell asleep quite fast. Seemed like they do not get enough sleeps during day time.

19 March 2012 (Monday)
School holiday is ended and Aden has to go to school today.
Ccw wake up early to buy his breakfast.

I bathed Aden and dressed him up. Ccw sent him off to school. He was very cooperative.

Then, we brought Adele out and had breakfast. Woo...enjoying our breakfast on Monday! LOL

Then we went home and let Adele to take her nap. Ccw cooked porridge! In the blink of an eye, it is time to pick up Aden from school! When we reached school, there was not many car yet. And we met waigong who came to fetch Bulat. I got down the car and walked towards the classroom. Aden saw me! He quickly got up from where he sits. I can tell that he was very happy to see me there. The class went uncontrol with my arrival. ROF!

I have a feeling that the teacher was not very happy with me! ;p

Aden grabbed his shoes and bag and walked towards the teacher. Then the other children also do the same. They gathered near the door. Aden told his little friends that: Look, she is my mommy! LOL! Proud-nya!
Then, I decided to walk further to wait for him.
Maybe most of my son's classmate are picked up by parents everyday. That's why he got so excited when he saw me.

We then had lunch nearby. Aden had really good appetite.

That evening, I put on my new jogging shoes and we went to MBKS park for a jog. When we reached there, I noticed the place is actually not suitable for jogging. The path is not smooth. Some of the tiles came off. Before I warned Aden, he was already fell down. Sigh!

I checked his knees, hoping not bleeding too much. He was there asking me: Mommy, am I going to be alright?

ROF!!

Luckily, it is not as serious as I thought, just the knee slightly scratched. Of course, it is painful to the little boy. He cant walked properly after that. Whenever he looked at the wound, he would start to sob and ask me if the wound on his knee is going to heal. He blamed the dad for bringing to "lousy" park! LOL! The dad bought him waterproof plaster which works like magic later. ;p

He waited for popo and gong2's flight that night because they promised to buy him "egg" with "car" inside it.

The end of the course.

I always wonder will it be as fun if I quit my job and become a housewife?!
RSS Feed

He took bath, put on school uniform, had breakfast, and tried to "bargain" with me that he does not want to go to school. Then, we managed to make him go into the car and drove to school. The roads leading to the school are partially flooded. But, we still managed to drive through and reached the school junction. From afar, I saw that the school gate is closed! Then I realised the road ahead is flooded about the height of the knee where car cant reach. That's my son's first day to school! Hahaa

When we reached home, popo asked if he wanted to go school if there is no flood? He said: Yes! We shall wait and see then!

Ahhh...and I ended up doing preparation towards the flood with my precious leave. :D
Aden, I always make milk for you, how come you never say that to me?
An old man who gives out presents to all the good boys and girls on Christmas eve. The better you are, the bigger gift you get. However, it wont be too big as Santa Claus is giving gifts to many children.

We reminded Aden to be good boy almost everyday so that Santa Claus will include him in his list. I can see that he really try hard to behave!

Towards Christmas Day, I told Aden that he must like whatever Santa Claus gives to him so that he will continue to receive gift the following year.

We went to buy Buzz Lightyear for him as we know he loves it. It was quite a big box which is not suitable to put on bed. So we put it near door where Aden will get to see it the first thing in the morning before going out the room.

When he woke up on Christmas day, he sat up from bed turn his head right and left to search for gift, but he could not see any. He was sad and told us he wanted to go to popo's room. So, I said: OK, mummy still want sleep for a while. So, he grabbed his snowman and dolphin and pillow then got down the bed and moved towards the door. We were observing him. When he saw the gift, he just put down his snowman, dolphin and pillow, and moved the gift aside so that he can open the door. But the door is locked! So, I quickly jumped down the bed and offered to help. When I reached him, I acted surprise to see the gift.

Mummy: Aden, what is that?
Aden: A present.
Mummy: hmmm...how come there is a present here?
Aden: *rubbing his eyes* Someone simply put it and did not keep it.
Mummy: Whose gift?
Aden: Bulat koko de..(He saw me wrapping my nephews' gifts the night before)
Mummy: Huh? Mummy did not put his gift here. It is outside, this one is not Bulat koko de.
Aden: *awake abit*
Mummy: Is it from Santa Claus to Aden?
Aden: *Excited and nearly jumped up*
Papa: Aden got gift from Santa Claus? Let's open it and see what is inside!
Aden: *All brighten up* I want to open it! *Opening the gift* It is Buzz Lightyear!
Papa: Wow, Santa Claus knows you like Buzz Lightyear!
Aden: *happy*
Mummy: Go show your Buzz Lightyear to popo, tell her it is from Santa Claus!
Aden: *Get out the room happily with his new toy*

However, Buzz Lightyear was spoilt before Christmas end! The button was broken. Aden was crying because he has yet show to Bulat koko and all. So, papa told him maybe he could fix it. But after trying, mission fail. When we talk about it again...
Popo: Aden, why Santa Claus buy lousy toy for you?
Aden: Santa Clause is poor ma, he need to buy many toys for children.
Popo: Why he need to buy so many toys to children?
Aden: He wants to make them happy :)

Wow...my son! He really listen to every words we told him.

RSS Feed

The loss of his car.

And there is another reason which I forgot to mention in my previous post which is Keropok!

He loves keropok! But it is junk food, which is not good for health. So, we do not really let him have it. As a result, he treats Keropok as his gold!

So, whenever people gave him keropok, he will eat slowly, take small bite so that the piece of keropok can last. And if people gave him more than a piece, he will always keep the last piece and bring back home to show popo with jolly face!

Aduh, as a mom, am abit heartache to see him so "kesian", it is just keropok! Sigh.

Then, 3 nights ago, his cousin gave him a small packet of keropok. So, he brought it home and showed me. Then he went downstair (I forbade him eating inside room/upstair), suddenly he cried like in pain again! When I asked what happened? He said he cant find the keropok plastic bag, I then found it and he cried again as he said how come it is empty? Popo already poured the keropok into container, but he wanted it inside the plastic bag. Popo put back the keropok then only he continued eating the 2 pieces of keropok in his hands! He was just too sad to think that what he is holding is the last 2 pieces and he not even want to finish them!

is 2 years older. As for myself, when I was sitting with him at the
back of the car last night, I also think that he is much older than 3yo
by looking at him sitting upright quietly. Gosh, he is such a big boy
now!

After nearly a year of hard work teaching him to recognise the
number from 1-10, he can finally recognise 1-8! Last night, when I
taught him 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16... he can actually add teen after 7
when I showed him 17, and the same to 18. When I showed him 20, he
actually shouted out TWO-TEEN! LOL! Very proud of him!

He
loves his cars. You will never know how much he love it until you get
to know what happened tonight. When I was driving him home, he suddenly
cried out at the back seat! He cried like he was in pain! Real painful
type of cries. I was shocked and kept asking him what happened! I
stopped at a junction. He just cried and when I raised my voice, he said
his foot is painful! I was wondering what causing it and told him to
take off his crocs, he did but he was still crying but softer. Then I
told him let's find out what bite his foot when we got home and I need
to pay attention on the road. But after a while, he CRIED as loud as
earlier on. I actually saw him reaching his hand into the car seat
cushion searching for something before he cried again. So I asked him
what happened? He finally told me that his toy car dropped into the
"hole"! Then I told him, it is ok, I can take it out for him once we
reach home. But he was still crying, the tears is flowing like a river.
He said he scared that the sport car cant be found! I have to assure him
that sure I can find it back for him and then only he turned to sob. I
told him don't cry anymore as I need to drive home. He then asked:
"Mommy, can my sport car still moving?" Sigh...all he has in his mind is
- the sport car!

He is a good boy except that he is still waking up at night for
milk! Omg! Sometimes, I really cant stand him waking up twice for milk!
Even his little sis only wake up once! Fine. One bad habit of him, if we
tried not to make him milk, he will kick us or cry, and we have no
choice to continue "manja" him!

One sweet and cute thing, he knows how to explain his little
sis's chinese name to others. He just learn it by listening from us for a
few times and then suddenly we caught him telling people his sis's
name, which chinese word of it, like this 一个雨，一个林. And, now, I am trying
to teach him, how to tell people about his own name! Quite funny that
he knows the sister's name but dunno his own right?

He is also getting more outgoing and less shy. He dare to talk to "jie jie" (stranger) met at a dining place and jiejie is speaking English! So, I told him to ask jiejie name, and he did that!

Love him heaps! :D
Bring along Cola to choose the gift together. Bought a battery-operated toy for him. Cola didn't say much. Shortly after that, it was Bulat's 5th birthday. Bulat wants Bumblebee, but in order to avoid Cola asking for a bumblebee (he has Optimus Prime in comic version), so I bought Optimus Prime for him.

Cola was not very happy. He told me that he wanted Optimus Prime too, I explained to him, it is Bulat koko's birthday, so he got a present. Just like him, he got the Optimus Prime from gugu on his birthday. He sort of understand but after a while when he saw Bulat playing with the Optimus Prime, he will request for one again. Once, he said this in bitter voice: Mummy did not buy Optimus Prime for me le.

Cola's cousin's first birthday present
I brought Aden along to choose for the gift. I am not sure what to buy and saw that Thomas and friends set on discount, I thought it would be a great gift. I asked for Cola's opinion.

Mummy: Cola, you think didi will like this one?
Cola: This one is very expensive!
Mummy: ...
We always told him it is expensive when request for it. In order not to create conflict with what we had been telling him, I decided to choose another toy. I browse through the rack, found another interesting toy which has 2 sides, one side is telephone and the other side is a piano. So, I showed to Cola again.
Mummy: Cola, we buy this toy for didi, ok?
Aden: *He plays with the toy and then seems like fall in deep thought* Mummy, you did not buy for me!
Mummy: It is not your birthday!
Cola is very unhappy and sad.
At the end, I had to buy him one small car to cheer him up.

Cola's little uncle birthday present
Ccw chose to buy a big remote control car for this little uncle.
Aden thought he can play first then give to his uncle. But, we told him it is not for him, it is uncle's birthday present. He was crying all the way home! So pity! We told him, little uncle will be very happy upon receiving the gift and telling everybody that he got a gift grom Cola. Cola felt better but still couldn't accept the fact that he does not have the car! He was sobbing and crying while telling us he does not have the car!

That night, after giving the present to little uncle, Cola refused to go home. He insisted want to play with it. Lucky thing, after he played a while, he is happy again.

Well, we are trying to teach him the meaning of "giving is actually receiving". :)
RSS Feed

It is Philips Avent Single Electric Breast Pump which can be converted to manual breast pump. I actually prefer to use the manual breast pump rather than eletric. I find it handy and useful!

It is very easy to assemble and ready to use. No matter how smart the eletric breast pump can imitate your speed and suction, you will still find that you can easily maneuver the manual breast pump to pump at the speed and suction as you wish. As you are getting more familiar, you will find that the manual breast pump can pump faster than the electric breast pump.

The only drawback of the manual breast pump is that your fingers get really tired! But I can stand it as it can do its job very well.

I strongly recommend Avent Manual Breast Pump to those who want to try to breastfeed baby.

p/s: If you want to buy Avent Manual Breast Pump, please let me know. I can help you to get a cheaper one. :)
RSS Feed

The reason I stopped is because I am lazy to express milk. But then it is also due to the production is low. So, I got advice from people that milk will reduce if you do not let baby latch on. Oh well, I do not care because I am not into breastfeeding at all!

For Princess Meimei, I am planning to do the same - breastfeed her until the milk stops. At first, I did try to let her latch on, but the experience is not too good. So, I decided to pump and feed her using bottle instead. Surprisingly, I am still on breastfeeding today as the milk supply never stop nor reduce.

Now, if you asked me how I found about beastfeeding. Honestly, I think the only benefit is that I can make sure my baby get balanced nutrients. It does not really save up much money after spending on breast pump, breast pad, nursing bra, breast milk storage bottles/cups/bags, cooler bag, lactating formula or supplements. Well, of course most of the items I mentioned are reusable for those who plan to have more than 1 child. Furthermore, it takes time to express milk. For me, I spend about 2 hours daily in the exercise of expressing milk. Previously, during the confinement, I think I spent at least 6 hours a day to pump milk. If time is equal to money, then I should say breastfeeding is expensive. Some more, it is tiring!

Alamak, I really sound very discouraging in this post. Very sorry to those who are planning to breastfeed your babies. But to look at this on a bright side, despite of how much I dislike breastfeeding, I am still expressing milk everyday for more than 2 months. I hope this part is motivating you! :)
RSS Feed

I need to cuddle her to make her sleep. But lucky thing, she sleeps well at night. :)

Feeding:
Drink 2-2.5oz milk every 3 hours.

Interesting parts:
She is a smiley baby. Baby is too comfortable inside my tummy until past the expected due date.

My doctor is very concerned about it. He suggested me to induce birth. Even though I did not like the idea at all as I was told that induce labour is much more painful but considering the points he listed out:
1. Baby will keep growing and it is difficult to give birth to big baby naturally.
2. Baby is matured, and the environment inside the uterus is no longer good for baby. Reason being is food supply from placenta might be not enough.
3. As the water level is dropping, less space inside uterus for fetus to move, the umbilical cord might get twisted around and harms the baby during childbirth.

So, I gave in.

Doctor had a tight schedule, I was scheduled to induce at 1am on 19 September.

I started to feel the contraction at a quarter to 6 in the morning. After having breakfast and shower, ccw and I went to see my doctor.

At 8:30am, the dilation has just started. The pain level has reach 3-4 (based on my 1st childbirth pain rating) already. I was quite worried, I seriously doubted that if I could stand the pain! At around 9am, I really think I should get epidural before it is too late! We inform the doctor, but he gave me painkiller shot instead. That is much better. But it last for less than 30 minutes, and the pain is killing me again! Deep down inside me, I was praying that I wont pass out before I can push the baby out. Suddenly, I felt that the baby's head was pushing out. Ccw informed the doctor and he came to check. The dilation is 4-5cm. He reminded me to keep my mouth open to breath and not to push while giving me another shot of painkiller. It is around 10:30am by then. After 5 minutes rest, we rushed to hospital.

The hospital staff wheeled me into the labour room, the nurse helped me to undress and dress me up in the patient clothes. Doctor also got his attire changed and ccw fleed himself from the registration counter. Actually the staff insisted ccw to complete the registration before allowing him to go into the labour room. By then, it is already 11am.

Doctor and nurse adjusted the bed, then gave me the laughing gas and taught me how to use it. Then I was told to push when the next contraction is here. So, the next time contraction come, I gave a push, but not using too much energy as I was wondering why he never break the waterbag first. Opps. Then after that he broke it. So, I tried another push but nothing come out. For the third time, I push hard and long and just before i gave up, ccw told me he saw the bb head, so I continued pushing, and the baby's head is out! Baby is born at 11:12am. Everything just happened too fast. It is another unforgettable experience for us.

My conclusion on why induce labour is more painful. Induce labour is very painful but it shortens the whole progress. So the level of pain increase every time the contraction strikes whereas without induce, the pain level remains for an hour or longer before it goes up to another level during the contraction period. It takes shorter time to complete dilation than natural birth. However, after experience the second childbirth, I actually recommend my friends to go for caesarean section instead. HA-HA!

And here is my little princess:
Finally, let me end this post with the best phrase for childbirth: No pain, No gain.
RSS Feed

So, I pretended to be dolphin and snowman to response to him.

In order to make sure he can really recognise 1-5, I make sure he teaches both dolphin and snowman each of the number before I (represent dolphin and snowman) answer to his question.

I complained him if he asked dolphin or snowman the number that he had yet to teach them and refuse to answer. Meaning to say, I have to be quite alert. However, I was trapped by him.

He turned over the the flash card with number 5 and showied dolphin the other side of the flash card which has apples on it. I (as the dolphin) answered that it is 5 and he laughed!! I asked him WHY? And he showed me the "apples"! He said these are apples! Not 5! #^&%&%&!
RSS Feed

I am happy as I have been always "dreaming" to have a baby girl. But getting pregnant does not means that I will have a baby girl, it could be a baby boy too! Having second child also mean that Aden is not going to be the only one! I feel sorry for him. Hmm...

Over the pass 35 weeks, our little dot as scanned for the first time on 21st Nov 2010, which is estimated 3.63mm with heartbeat, has developed into a fetus that weighed 2kg (week 34 scan) with different body parts and organs developed during each scan. She is doing well according to the doctor.

As for myself, besides from watching my belly grows and weight increases, I miss carrying Aden and do things together with him. He is so cute and seem like can understand it. He is showing patient waiting for the arrival of our little baby too. At first , he is not very ready to have younger brother or sister, but later he is proud to announce to everyone that he is going to become a big brother. Everytime he talked about himself being a brother, he will stand up straight and ask us if he has grow up already or not.

Now, as the expected due date is drawing nearer, we are getting things ready. Preparing stuff that needed by the newborn, not forgetting to mentally prepare Aden with the arrival of newborn too. I believe he is waiting for the day when mummy goes to hospital to deliver baby and he stayed at home with popo and then go to fetch mummy and baby from hospital together. =)

Dear meimei,

haha...I still prefer to call you as meimei but no worry about the gender, I have prepared you with both boy and girl's items. Anything that is lack off, we can go shopping together after you are born! =)

Like what your brother said: We will see whether you are a baby girl or boy when you are born.

Enjoy your final 4 weeks stay in my womb and grow healthily and happily. You are going to see the world soon.

Muacks.
RSS Feed
