"ONE FOR THE MONEY"

The idea of an inexperienced woman working for a bailbondsman is a great one! This is a movie that definitely needs to be continued! The reason I know this is I have read most all of Janet Evanovich's books. I have read 17 of them. The movie shows how her clumsy hilarious mistakes can teach her what not to do in capturing criminals. Fortunately she has wonderful people to help her out like the neighborhood hooker, Ranger in which I call the mysterious Batman and good ole sexy Joe, a blast from the past!
The trouble with reading the book first is that you have your own image of who the character looks like. I honestly think the casting of characters in the movie doesn't match the books. Don't get me wrong. I liked the movie and can't wait to see the next one. I give this movie 3 stars with high hopes that the next one will be twice as good.

Autism and Cod liver oil

Since I work and have personal experiences with autism, I was doing some research on Cod Liver Oil and Autism. It seems that fish oils are generally good, but Cod Liver Oil has a specific ingredient in it that improves Autism! The feedback I noticed from parents were that they saw a difference within hours from repetitive behaviors. I also found out that it is good for your bones, skin and Osteoporosis which I have. There was one warning I did see. You shouldn't have too much of it. I went to the drugstore and bought the lowest dose. I came home and did some more research about interactions with medicine. I couldn't believe it! It interacted with my son's Enalipril! Since I know that he takes a low dose, I called the cardiologist and I am anxiously awaiting her approval. It's a disease.

The hurt grows

so you end up being distant.

You feel angry, hurt and cold inside.

"WHERE IS GOD?" you say

and then ......you pray.

You finally realize, you are sick

This can't be cured with just a quick fix.

You then realize your loved ones were there all along,

And so was GOD..when you weren't so strong.

When she was but a young teen she used to sneak very quietly into her mothers bedroom. In that bedroom beside her mothers bed was her bedside table and on this table lay extremely expensive chocolate that her mother would get sometimes just for adults her mother would say. The little girl would take one careful bite and relish it in her mouth.
Later on as the girl became older she settled for munching on dark chocolate chip morsels everyday at her job. Her boss would tell her she would get fat but she never did. At this time in her life her family still did stockings and her mother would always get Godiva chocolate in her stocking and she would always get a special dark candy bar in hers.
Years later now a mother of her own, she needed a job. She decided to go to Godiva. Low and behold she got the job. It was just like being in the movie "Charlie and Chocolate Factory." She could taste all the different chocolates and she got a discount. She had also learned to spread the joy of loving chocolate as she learned it was good for the heart. She was able to buy her whole family Godiva and everyone loved it!
Little did they know her preferences for chocolate got even more picky. She loved the dark chocolate raspberry truffles, the white chocolate raspberry stars, even the milk chocolate almond raindrop. One day she decided her life was too much working at Godiva and she stopped. She never knew how much she would miss her specialty pieces of dark chocolate. To this day she still gives a little chocolate to everyone she loves.

They didn't see

Handicapped or not handicapped? That is the question. I firmly believe YES is the answer! From the moment he was born, people used to say he is normal. He just has a few issues. His family members that didn't live with him said, "Look at him. I don't see anything wrong with him." They didn't see "how" he answered questions and how he would just have a one-sided conversation. They didn't see his autism.
Later on in life after at least 7 surgeries people still said, "He just has issues. It's not like he's in a wheelchair!" They didn't see how he couldn't go out for the soccer team because his heart rate didn't register on the stethoscope at school. They didn't see under his shirt how his sternum was against his heart. They didn't see how he runs and covers his ears when a train or loud noise bothers him.
After the 7th surgery, I got a handicapped sticker from DMV. Here it is years later, and I still see people say, "He's not handicapped. That is just wrong." They don't see the spacial judgements he makes. They don't see how he tries to run in the house while being 6'1.
If DMV believes a person to be handicapped wether they are in a wheelchair or not, I agree with them. If you have had to have major support services throughout your life, for you to get where you are at, that seems to me like a valid reason for being handicapped. There is more to being handicapped than a person in a wheelchair or a person without limbs. Handicaps are sometimes hidden so next time don't be too quick to judge the unknown.

People and Birds

Thoughts just come to me at night! Do you ever wonder why people feel so attached to birds? After all, science tells us they have small brains. A bird comes near your window for weeks at a time. After a while you feel connected to the bird. Some people even think it may be a sign from up above.
After a month or so, the bird decides to take it a bit further and runs into the window and dies. You feel such a loss! You feel so bad that this relationship has ended. In reality, the bird probably has been attracted to some light off your window or a reflection of himself.
Family traditions, keeping stress free and having the christmas spirit I think are the key to a great christmas. I wasn't feeling the christmas spirit this year as we woulddn't be able to see any of my siblings. They live in different states and with the economy all of us decided to stay home. This in turn brought about a special holiday for my mom and I. We had never spent christmas focused on us before because we always had family visiting. We decided to spend a day shopping and ended up in Macy's. We are an ornament family and shopping for just that special ornament brings a special feeling of excitement within you. My best friend got pink ornaments for her pink tree. I love ornaments that 'fly' so christmas morning, my mom gave me a bird ornament which I love. I in turn gave my mom a Macy's bag ornament dated 2011 to remember that special shopping day just for us. My son also got a twilight ornament. Yes! we are a twilight family. He is tall like Edward and his best friends we call Bella(she has long brown hair) and Jacob(his last name which I won't mention says it all!) In this day and time when everyone is watching their pennies, ornaments can fill the soul.

2012 Resolution!

Well, hello again!
It's been quite awhile since I've used this blog. They were closed and we were reminded that the Governor really does "live" in the mansion. So, we assumed that he was inside in P.J.'s watching t.v. :) We did however move on to the Capital which was extremely interesting. You now enter the Capital through an underground tunnel which they just built this year! They have renovated everything..and repainted and decorated mainly in Yellow and blue to show up the white statues that are in there. My friend being a history major was very careful not to touch things..then we found out everything was "copied" so that was somewhat of a disappointment. Josh loved it. When we were entering the grounds we saw a man cleaning the statues. I suggested to Josh that he could do that as a job..he said no, he wanted to be a guard instead. (Still wanting to be a part of the police somehow, I guess we should take a trip to the police station..maybe he could file or something) We had a great time:)
Next, I did some research on Depakote...and found that there are LOTS of personal injury firms advertising to for you to claim a case about Depakote, but have not physically found a case in the U.S.
For all those All my children watchers, what do you think about Greenlae? Although I know some people feel very different...so I'm taking a poll...

Josh

This is Josh on the Tuckahoe Challenger Team. First I'll mention Josh's because mine might be detailed. Today, we had a friend take us to one of Richmond's National Battlefields. We went to Cold Harbor battlefield. Josh learned alot and for those who know him, you know he loved it because of his interest in the Civil War. lol! As we went to each marker he was the first to reach it and we took turns reading them. This was one of the bloodiest battles. The trenches are still there and they dug them w/ their tin cups and canteens. Hopefully, in the next 2 weeks we will go to the Governors' Mansion.
My history research contains info. about FVS. I came across some really interesting information during my homework studying and had to research more! There are 20 families over in the U.K. that have children w/ FVS and have taken the company to court. They make a pill over there including depakote and tegretol. It was so interesting that it made me look for cases here in the U.S.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking to go to court, but with "legal" people in my family(lol!) I think I too have that curious gene in me that HAS to find out!lol! Through searching I found another interesting fact about Depakote. Right now in the U.S. they are going through some court issue having to do with the generic form of Depakote. I haven't found any family issues dealing w/ Depakote, but isn't this extremely interesting?
I'm still working on setting up my blog, so feel free to blog me back. I'd really like to know if I've set it up right.
Until next time....

The beginning of something new...

I originally opened this site in order to talk w/ my sister on her blog(The occasional bauble :).
