All equipment is in place but final electrical tie-ins to building systems remain to be done.  In order to do these connections safely, the power to the common areas and to the building systems must be shut down.  This shut down only affects common area lighting, elevators, the laundry room and basement.<br />
You will not lose power to your apartments during this time.<br />
The shut down is scheduled for 10am on Monday August 30th and should last about two hours.  Emergency lighting will be activated in the stairwells and additional lighting will be deployed on the landings and in the lobby.  If you need to do laundry or access the basement for any other reason, please do so and complete your task before 10am.  If you have appointments outside the building, we suggest you leave the building before 10am and return after 1pm.  If you must leave the building for an emergency during the shut down and need assistance, please let your doorman know or call the management office.<br />
We regret any inconvenience this power loss may cause.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After months of delay due to permitting issues, L&#038;Z Building Restoration will start mobilizing on Monday August 16th, to begin the next phase of exterior masonry work at your building.  Exterior masonry work will commence on the 4 and 6-lines on Wednesday 8/18 and will progress southward around the building.  The work is intended to address mandated Local Law 11 repairs as well as reported leak conditions along these drops.  Apartments affected along the southwest façade of the 4-line include: 34, 94, 104 and 114.  Apartments affected along the southwest façade of the 6-line include: 36 and 56.  </p>
<p>If you are experiencing water infiltration from the exterior and have not reported it to the office, please do so immediately.  If a scaffold drop is scheduled in the same area as your leak, we may be able to address it at this time.  Work will start at 8:00am and will close at 5:30pm Monday thru Friday.  If necessary, quiet work will be allowed on Saturday.</p>
<p>Keep your windows closed to avoid dust and debris from entering.  Air conditioners will be protected with a filter fabric but it is best to avoid using them if possible.  Please take precautions to avoid possible damage to window and adjoining wall decorations by removing breakable items from these areas.  Because of the bonded wall construction of our buildings, damage to interior surfaces of your apartment may occur during demolition.  Any damage to the interior will be repaired.</p>
<p>We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but the work is necessary to preserve the integrity of your building.</p>

There will be periods of loud demolition as the workers move from drop to drop.  To avoid dust infiltration into your apartment, occupants near areas where work is being done should keep their windows closed.  Work will start at 8:00am and will close at 5:30pm Monday thru Friday.  If necessary, quiet work will be allowed on Saturday.</p>
