Postman Pat is a puzzle game for the iPhone/iPod Touch. The puzzles consist of a few different types of mini-games. Sometimes players will have to stamp envelopes as they are coming off of a conveyor belt and other times they will have to match two letters going to the same person. Each game requires the user to attain a certain amount of points.

The points the player needs to advance to the next level is given to the player before the game starts. If the player is not able to attain the allotted number of points, the level will need to be played again. The player can keep playing until they pass the level. In Story Mode players can not progress to the next mini game until the one they are on is complete.

The mini games are not too difficult, but some of them take some getting use to. The stamping of envelopes took a time or two to get use to touching the stamp in the correct spot. If the player touched the envelope in the wrong spot the stamp would go over the address, which would result in no points for the envelope.

The touch controls work well and the game never mis-registered a touch. The touch mechanisms are easy to use and make it easy to navigate through the game.

Over all, Postman Pat is a fun set of mini games that will keep players entertained for a while. The game is set up perfectly for short bursts of game play. Players can play much longer, but each mini game can be played in a matter of minutes, which makes them convenient for waiting in line or for an appointment. Players that like puzzle games in the form of mini games can’t go wrong with Postman Pat.

Press Release Follows:

OREM, Utah – Jan 5, 2010 – It’s official. Those oddly cute, yet addictively sweet Keflings are back… in a big way. Independent video games developer NinjaBee has confirmed that A World of Keflings, a sequel to the enormously popular A Kingdom for Keflings, is coming to Xbox LIVE® Arcade in 2010.

“A World of Keflings is much more than a sequel,” said Steve Taylor, President of NinjaBee. “It’s a new game with a ton of new features, including some innovative ideas that stand out from both Live Arcade and full retail games. A World of Keflings also has a new story focus, with new exotic lands, characters, quests, buildings, customization options, and a lot more.”

A World of Keflings is the bigger, more complete chronicle of the Kefling world where players can play as their Xbox LIVE® avatar and explore and build in the different Kefling lands. Each new kingdom has its own climate and Kefling culture. In addition, each kingdom contains its own unique resources, buildings and tech tree.

“When we set out to make a second Keflings game we decided that we were going to do it right and make it a whole new experience that clearly was bigger and better than the first,” said Brent Fox, NinjaBee’s Art Director. “A World of Keflings captures all the charm and casual-style of play of the first game, but adds more depth, humor and a ton of features players have requested.”

One of the most asked-for features included in the Keflings sequel is local multiplayer. Players will be able to build an entire world for the Keflings together with their spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, kids, friends or whomever on the same console.

NinjaBee has been teasing concept art for the new game each week this month. To see the revealed artwork visit www.NinjaBee.com/blog/. NinjaBee plans to release A World of Keflings later this year, though a specific release date has not yet been established.

A World of Keflings is NinjaBee’s third XLA title to support playable avatars and is the second title NinjaBee has announced it is bringing to XLA in 2010. The other, Ancients of Ooga, was announced last fall.

The game is a time management game where players have to run a functioning hotel chain. They have to handle the customers and take care of the luggage and anything else the customer needs.

Jane’s Hotel was originally a game for the PC and has been brought over to the mobile devices. Now players can get a time management fix any where they are. Players will have to keep patrons happy by making sure their rooms are clean, bringing them drinks and preparing meals for the guests. If players can manage to keep the guests happy, they will bring in money. The money can be used to upgrade the hotel from a 2 star hotel to a 5 star hotel.

The setting is exotic locations and underwater cities.

The goal of the game is to release the buried artifacts. Players release the artifacts by matching three of a kind of sea creatures and treasure. Match three games have been around for some time, so Game Equation has added other features to keep the game fresh and exciting. Players will have to rotate the board and perform other advanced maneuvers.

Players will have plenty of game play with over 200 match-3 levels and more than 60 hidden object levels in three unique locations. The game boasts easy to learn game play and controls. Players can also earn money to upgrade, purchase new equipment or purchase other divers to work on their crew.

Brian Meidell, founder of The Game Equation, said, “Casual games shouldn’t sacrifice quality, innovation or complexity. The superior graphics and level of engagement are unprecedented in Deep Blue Sea 2 and will appeal to first-time players and experienced casual gamers alike.”

Deep Blue Sea 2 will be available in March 2010.

Press Release Follows:

Copenhagen, Denmark – January 27, 2010

The Game Equation today announced that development is underway on a new match-3 puzzle game titled Deep Blue Sea 2. Sequel to the successful hit title Deep Blue Sea, the next edition in the series delivers superior match-3 puzzles and hidden object gameplay set in exotic locales and a fantastical underwater city. The demo will soon be available so players can get a first look at the stunningly detailed nautical-themed worlds and get a taste of the engaging puzzles that offer many hours of entertainment when the full version is released. Deep Blue Sea 2 is set to release in March 2010 and The Game Equation is currently looking for qualified publishing partners.

In Deep Blue Sea 2, players combine whimsical sea creatures and sunken treasures into matching groups of three in order to release the buried artifacts. Unique puzzle components, including board rotation and advanced maneuvers, keep gameplay fresh and challenging. Offering more interaction than found in a typical casual game, divers uncover an original storyline as they complete challenges and level up through over 200 match-3 levels and more than 60 hidden object levels in three unique locations. With easy-to-learn controls and intuitive gameplay, divers can earn upgrades, purchase new equipment for difficult missions and, over time, assemble a crew of delightful fellow divers, each with unique abilities.

A Tale in the Desert is a unique MMO game that is based more from a social aspect. The massive multi-player online (MMO) game is not one big game, but a collection of mini-games. Players can build their own world from scratch and move the game along at their own pace. The only thing limiting the story is the pace of the player.

There are two stories going on at the same time and this is the first time this is taking place. The new server runs the second story and the first server runs the original story. The other feature that sets this game apart from other MMO games is there is no combat and death occurs very rarely. The game is based on trade skills and players will find it easier to work with other players, but it is not required. If players choose, they can go against the crowd.

If you like MMO games that don’t require you to run around and fight things, but concentrate more on the social aspect, check out A Tale in the Desert.

The game is a building simulation game and requires players to fill the mall with stores people want to shop at and will spend their money at. It is not good enough to just get one mall up and running, players have to create thriving malls across six different cities.

Players take on the role of Kelly, an up and coming mall developer. As the players complete the levels, they will earn money and can spend that money on jewelry, clothing or office decorations. Players will have the chance to earn shopping credits, as well, but they have to make the goal of the level or will not be rewarded with the shopping credits.

”We are very excited to work with 99Games on the iPhone version of Create A Mall, the game did wonderful as a casual download and the iPhone should extend this IP to millions of new customers,” said Lloyd Melnick, CCO at Merscom.

New Udupi, India, January 26, 2010: 99Games, leading developer and publisher of iPhone and iPod touch games, today announced the release of Create A Mall for the iPhone. Create A Mall is an interesting new addition to the exciting new genre of ‘building simulation’ games. The game is a result of the partnership between Roiworld, a fashion and gaming web site acquired by Lifetime Networks in 2008, and Merscom, a global publisher of social media and computer games.

In Create A Mall, players assume the role of Kelly, a rising star in a mall development company. As Kelly, players are challenged to become world-class mall developers by filling their venues with enticing stores for customers in six different cities throughout the world.

Create A Mall is the first game where players have the opportunity to use the money they have earned to buy jewelry, clothing or office decorations. Additionally, users have the chance to earn shopping credits for their stores at each level, provided they have met the level’s goal.

”We are very excited to work with 99Games on the iPhone version of Create A Mall, the game did wonderful as a casual download and the iPhone should extend this IP to millions of new customers,” said Lloyd Melnick, CCO at Merscom.

“We see that women over-index men in their usage of the iPhone as a gaming device,” said Kris Soumas, Head of Roiworld, “So we are thrilled to work with 99Games on releasing an iPhone version of Create-A-Mall to Roiworld’s fanbase of millions of women from around the world.”

“Create A Mall is our first simulation game and we couldn’t have asked for a better game to enter this genre”, said Anila Andrade of 99Games. “The game was extremely well received on PC and Mac and we are confident that iPhone users are going to find it equally engrossing”, she added.

The game is now available on the App Store for $3.99.
