You have to watch the demo above which is made by the CEO of a company called Swype, Cliff Kushler and Randy Marsden who are the founders of the company have worked on some successful input technology before but I truly believe this might be the next big thing for them

Like you saw on the video you only have to swipe your finger or stylus over the letter of the words and it gets on the screen with impressively low number of grammatical errors. Now this is apparently only limited to the speed that you can swipe, Mike claims that you can do up to 50 words per minute and I don’t think hes exaggerating.

This works on multiple plataforms from tablets to cellphones. I’ll let the presentation video speak for itself you have to watch it …Youll be blown away  I promise

Did You Hear The News That You Are Dead?

Many of you may not now but Google introduced its browser with a comic that explained every features it includes. The image above is from a recent contest Gizmodo.com did and it has some pretty funny entry in the gallery just  click here to see them.

In other notes the world apparently proved to be stronger than many tought and failed to collapse under the ginormous pressure of the LHC that went live today. But this was just a small test, the real experiment starts on October so please try to enjoy life has much has possibly before reality bends :]

Oh and apparently there’s gonna be another Apple event this time Mac related on October…So which do you think is more possible, new Macs or a reality bending black hole?

iPod Nano 4th Generation: Larger Screen,Coverflow,Colorful,Acelerometers

Apple announced the 4th generation of its iPod Nano and it came out to be exactly the way Kevin Rose said las week it would. The 8Gb is supposed to be avalible today and the 16Gb version this weekend,here’s a list of every new feature:

– Thinnest iPod ever
– Enhanced user interface
– Accelerometer to detect tilt
– Shake iPod to shuffle
– Genius playlist built in
– Aluminum with curved glass
– Battery: 24 hours for music. 4 hours for video.
– $149 for 8GB. $199 for 16GB.
– 9 Colors: silver, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, red, pink, black

iTune 8.0: HD TV Shows, Genius Playlist,Grid View:

Apple updated its famous music app to iTunes 8.0 version. It’s not a mayor overhaul but it does includes some nice changes like:

– Support for High Definition TV shows
– $1.99 for Standard Definition episodes
– $2.99 for High Definition episodes
– Genius playlists: automatically find similar songs in your collection

All this also is accompanied with the return of NBC to the iTunes store, so all you The Office and Heroes fans can rejoice.

Second Generation iPod Touch: Thinner, Funnier

With the new version Apple has made its iPod Touch pack more features in a  thinner package. Features include:

– 2.1 Firmware
– Built-in speaker, volume controls
– Genius playlist
– Nike+iPod support
– Battery: 36 hours for music, 6 hours for video.
– $229 for 8GB, $299 for 16GB, $399 for 32GB

iPhone Update And Other Things:

Along with the other announcements Apple said that it will update the iPhone firmware this friday to fix the current glitches. Changes includes:

– Significantly better battery life
– Fewer call drops
– Bug fixes
– Faster backups to iTunes
– No App crashes

The iPod shuffle also got some new colors added, check them out here. Apple also introduced some new headphones that will go for $79.

Its powered by an eletricall batery and it reaches around 22 miles per hour and can run several miles with just one recharge!… I so want one but aparrently he isnt in it for the money. A Mockup of the new nano and the current zune mini

For all of you who don’t know about it Apple announced a special event for September 8, some days before that Microsoft had announced an event for that same day. Because of Apple tradition we know that this is going to be a iPod event and there are rumors that Microsoft is going to go head to head with Apple and announce something Zune related. Leaked photos of the new iPod nano and information about iTune 8.0 after the jump….Plus what you should expect from Microsoft event.

The New Ipod Nano:

There has been some speculation regarding which iPod model is getting a new design next week and almost all things point to a new iPod nano, with leaked photos showing up around the net there’s no doubt about it.

In this leaked photo we see that the new iPod Nano sports a much larger screen and curved screen, it kind of looks like the Microsoft Zune mini/nano thats currently available.

The New iTunes:

Kevin Rose got information from one of hes trusted source that all the iPod’s are going to see a change in someway specially on the price side to differentiate them from the iPhone $199 price tag and according to him we are going to see iTunes 8.0 with some big new features:

“iTunes 8 includes Genius, which makes playlists from songs in your library that go great together. Genius also includes Genius sidebar, which recommends music from the iTunes Store that you don’t already have.

With iTunes 8, browse your artists and albums visually with the new Grid view; download your favorite TV shows in HD quality from the iTunes Store; sync your media with iPod nano (4th generation), iPod classic (2nd generation), and iPod touch (2nd generation); and enjoy a stunning new music visualizer.”-KevinRose.com

But with Apple tight secrecy around this kind of announcement we can only wait and see what they on September 8.

The Microsoft Event:

On the other hand Microsoft has a special event that while is not been promoted has a Zune event there are rumors that they are also going to refresh the Zune line in some way. The only thing we know for sure is they are going to introduce the 120gb Zune player, it appeared earlier today at amazon has currently in stock and ready to ship.

This for sure is going to be an exciting week for fans of Apple’s iPod and for the fans of the Zune. So be sure to check around on September 9 to see what both of the companies announced.

The X1 sports touch screen support, from which comes one of my favorite home screen on any cellphone. Its called the Xperia Panel Interface its just like the customizable icons on your desktop but they look way more cooler on the high resolution screen of this phone and have some really nice effects that adds to the experience.

With a camera in front it has support for a feature some iPhone users wish they had, video calls. It also has a 3.5 mega pixel camera on the back thats comes with a App that lets you photoblog right from you cellphone not mention that you can actually take videos unlike the iPhone photo only camera.

If you slide it to the side it has a qwerty keyboard from where you can write all the text messages you please , according to some hands on reviews the Keyboard does not disappoint in quality. Lets not forget you can also read/write all you emails because it supports Push Email.

For your internet browsing needs you get mobile IE and absolutely fast 3G speeds, not to mention it also does Wifi whenever you get into a hotspot. Blog reading on the go wont be a problem because it includes an RSS feed reader right out of the box.

You must agree with me here. This cellphone has one slick design with some powerfull feautures to back up all its beauty, there’s only one thing Im not diggin  Windows mobile on it :S … I mean I cant say its really bad but its not the best out there. Sometimes I wish Apple would just distribute its mobile OS to other cellphone makers, oooh how I love you selfish Apple XD. Take a look at this Youtube vid which shows Xperia1 full beauty.

Google Chrome Logo

Google today officially entered the web browser market with its entry called Googles Chrome which you can check all details and download it here. I’ve spend the last two to three hours using the browser and visiting all the usual sites I frequent daily, so far I have had no inconvenience with anything. 

After three hours I miss all my favorite Firefox extensions/add ons, but at the same time that’s what I like about it. This browser feels simple,fast and stable , I have yet entered a site where it gets all slow and crappy.

The startpage is  a plus, it displays the pages that you most visit showing you a screenshot of each of them. This could save a lot of time, when sometimes you just want to open up the browser to check a specific page you frequent it will probably be there without you having to type a single letter :]

For the people that download loads of stuff in their browser(like me) there’s going to be a big relieve. Sometimes we dowload stuff on our browsers and when we go looking for it later on we just don’t remember what file we moved it to, with chrome you don’t have that problem no more. Chrome has a download “Box” where you can manage all your downloaded stuff, oh and it has a search box on top so you can just search for what you are looking without having to “manually” search for it.

Google is also focusing on the tabs. The chrome browser display the tabs on the top of the browser and lets you quickly reorganize them by just dragging them around or open a new window by dragging them out of the current one and into the desktop.

In general its a great browser and we have to remember that this is just the first version and Googles first browsers. So with that in mind we can only expect it to get better and better with time, you can download it here and give it  a try for yourself.

Someone explain to me how are we suppose to play WiiMusic apart from just shaking the controllers around without any sense? And whats up with the music? I mean I don’t have anything against people who are into instrumental music. I see what Nintendo is aiming to do here… They want to make the Guitar Hero for young kids and older people or like they call it “The Casual Gamer”.

For many of the “Gamers” that bought the Nintendo Wii system….I mean….Was it a disappointment or what? We all expected better games and you cannot lie about wanting better graphics!. Most of whats been released by Nintendo and 3rd parties are over simplistic gimmicky games that have little to no replay value with less than stunning graphics..

But in their quest for been the casual gamer powerhouse are they really doing any good to the rest of the industry? I mean they are expanding their market but are they really converting “Casual Gamers” into the plain and simple gamer that understand how to use the Xbox 360 controller without looking at the manual?

I know this is just another pointless rant without base for my argument…But I just wanted to make a blog post :]…So whats your take on the Wii?

While recently all the online business going down seem to be just the music related starups( Is not easy to make money  in a f*cked up industry anyway) we all now that many of the sites we use and love don’t charge us a dime and their only plan for making money seems to be putting up huge ads. For me their principal error is to think that having a huge community means more people will click ads = more money…Not thinking about the much higher expenses that come with more users.

In the other hand we have the crazy out of their mind Vc’s giving millions on funding to anyone that makes a promise that he’s gonna create a website thats gonna be mentioned on Techcrunch.com. After they have millions they just burn the money going around in circles trying to figure out how they gonna make a proffit out of their huge but costly community.

To all online startups, just beacuse you are a “virtuall” bussines does not mean that basic bussines rules do not apply to yall so please have a plan on hand next time you make me waste time on your website only for it to dissapear later on  :]

We all like to share the stuff  with friends and such but there are already sites for that, so is Google move basically just trying to stop FriendFeed growth has the ultimate place to share stuff?-  the other thing people don’t like is that the “note” feature is completely disconnected from any other discussion site right now- so that means yet another separate place where a different conversation is going to be occurring. Unless they find a way to connect the comments you make on GReader to the ones on FriendFeed or Twitter people don’t need another site to constantly refresh just to see what people are saying.

RSS readers should do just what their meat too, remember too many things just may  be what’s preventing RSS from going mainstream. People like clean and simple experiences, too many features just distract and confuse the casual user leaving them with a bad experience in mind.
