The Ssscat does what it says - it senses your cat, and then lets loose a spray and an alarm squeal. We have a very bad cat, but after a few encounters with this thing, he has stayed off the countertops. We recently got a second, so that we can have one for the dining room table and one for the baby's bassinet, and they're working fine as well. (You can call me a control freak, but there's something very satisfying about hearing the spray & alarm at 2 in the morning, followed by the sounds of a running cat.)

A couple pieces of advice: (1) You will need 4 AAA batteries per unit. (2) The spray is good for a few months to a year, depending on how many times you forget the unit is there and spray yourself. At that point, you can either buy the refill can or just rely on the sound alarm. (3) The alarm usually goes off once after you arm the unit, while it's "warming up." To avoid wasting a spray, I set it to "sound only" until the warm up alarm is over, then turn it to the "sound + spray" setting.

I got this yesterday and so far it looks good, I've been using silica litter but even the cheap stuff is not that cheap and is fairly dusty, so I've been looking for an alternative and this seems to be it. The silica works great for drying up odors until it gets pee saturated. I sprinkled at little of the old wet litter on the breeze litter and the cats used it right away. The pee does drain through and the pads are good, they've used it quite a few times and the pad still feels dry. I'm actually hoping they DON'T poop in it and continue to use the silica for that, then I'll have the best of both worlds, the poop will dry and the pee will be able to be gotten rid of so the expensive silica will last longer.

After a week, still on the first pad and haven't noticed any odor problems. Have 3 cats and left the silica so they are using both but they are using the breeze a lot. Adding crystals or enzyme spray to the pad might stretch it's life out even longer. They've pooped in the breeze too and I haven't noticed a smell but lots of pellets glue tight so I'm losing quite a few each time. I'm used to the silica, which is much cleaner than clay or clumping and I haven't noticed any increased odor with the breeze.

Changed the pad on the 8th day because, well really how far do you want to push it, and no sign of trouble. It was HEAVY with no sign of leakage or deterioration (I didn't really try to stress test it, but it came out of the tray and into the bag with no problem).

Contrary to the other reviews I have to say it has worked for me so far (update: now 4 months!). I found the range to be more than sufficient, turning on when I'm a good 20 feet away. The construction is solid and it has an extension to raise the height over the grass which seems to help the range. I was worried that I wouldn't know it was working or not, or whether it was defective since the sound is suppose to be in the high frequencies, but I can hear a very high pitch sound and a red light also turns on inside the sensor. One thing to watch out for that might explain some of the other bad reviews is the fact that some cat breeds and older cats are deaf to high frequencies so this device doesn't bother them at all. The company warns about this in their instructions. All the stray cats pooping on my lawn seems to have excellent hearing so far.

I have two cats, and these springs are their favorite. They just love batting these around and chasing them, and they never get sick of these inexpensive toys. I suggest buying extras, as these springs get lost pretty easily. I used to buy them at a local store and then was disappointed when the store stopped carrying them. Luckily, I found them on Amazon! These springs end up under furniture, doors, kitchen appliances, and the washer and dryer. You can fetch them out with a yardstick, but these things do have a knack for disappearing. I usually ration them out to my cats until all have disappeared, and then every once in a while, I get out the yardstick and go searching for the lost ones.

If you've ever used it, you don't have to be told. The stuff works and works miraculously. After a season or two's consistent use, even in my multi-cat times, the flea problem seems to diminish; my theory is that they get gradually killed off in the vicinity of the house.

The other reason for 5 stars is the Amazon price: on 5/7/2010 I priced it at three pet stores in the eastern area of San Diego and all stores were between $56 and $58; Aamzon is quoting $38 for the same size and dose. A no brainer.

I have a hairless Chinese Crested but somehow he's managed to get a flea infestation. Since all he has is thin peach fuzz, it's kind of repulsive to see fleas by the dozens crawling on his skin in plain view. And because flea medication won't work on him because of his lack of fur, we have to rely on sprays, shampoos, and collars. This spray actually kills the fleas ON CONTACT. It's amazing to watch this work! Of course, I always have to bathe him afterwards because he'll be covered with dead fleas.
The smell is a little potent but not bad at all, smells exactly like its ingredients clove and peppermint.

This is basically a generic version of Capstar. Not only is it cheaper, you get more pills per container. We have had the worst flea season ever and spraying alone didn't seem to make a dent since our pets spend a lot of time outside and the yard is too big to completely cover with insecticide. After we tried the capsules on our pets the adult fleas started dying within 30 minutes. As suggested we sprayed the house and outside area with a home insecticide to kill eggs and larvae that are not affected by these pills. They work by poisoning the adult flea when it bites the dog, so therefore the more eggs you kill beforehand will help reduce the number of capsules you have to give your dog. Also works on our indoor cat as well and they are MUCH happier after just one week. They suggested giving a dose daily for heavily infested dogs (esp. if they are kept outdoors)until you notice a great improvement. We gave one tablet each day for two days, then skipped a day, then skipped 2 days. We only see a couple of fleas falling off our dog now and she isn't scratching.

Would also work if you don't want to spray for the flea eggs, but would have to give the tablets over a longer period of time since the fleas would continually hatch. In effect, you would have to wait until every egg hatched and bit your dog so they would no longer appear.

We have been an Advantage family for years. I help foster animals for a rescue and one of my new guys came in with fleas, which quickly spread to the rest of the crew. I bought this kit for my cats after buying them cat grass at the farmers market. They went crazy for it and the next time I went to market they were out of cat grass. Coming home emtied handed was not an option for my cats!! I bought the kit and it is a no brainer. The grass comes up in a few days when put in sunlight. It takes about a week to get it up to the size for the cats to enjoy and it last about a week. It is worth it to see them devour the first blades when I put it out. My cats are two full grown 20lb kittys! They would live without out it but really like having it to munch on. The combination of oat, rye, wheat and barley must make it tastier than just the oat grass that I get at the farmers market.

Before I buy any thing of this nature, I study. I search the web for comparison to other products - everything. From what I found, there are lots of studies out there that show this stuff not only gets rid of the worms, but also worm larva from the 3 most common types: round, tape, I forget the third one. Nothing else seems to compare. When I first started buying this stuff 2 years ago, I had to import it from Australia.
Now they have started selling it here and it's more expensive, but the studies show the same results. No competition. The only one proven to get rid of it all.
My cat is indoor outdoor - hunter.
Rats can give my cat worms, so can other things.
Periodically my cat takes to looking really skinny.
I give him a dose of Profender and the weight starts to come back.

I have two female Leonbergers--one was born with a small urinary leakage; the other is nearly 10 and began to have a problem after her spay. Instead of using the PPA drug which has side effects, I tried them both on Leaks No More and was astonished how well it works. This stuff is great!! I ordered this brand because I had such a great experience with the ear product by the same ZYMOX company. My black lab was scratching and itching and had developed red patches of skin under his legs. We have 3 cats that use this product. Our cats are very picky about foods, but when we tried this they all loved it right away. They will eat from your finger as recommended (or even right from the tube as I am squeezing it!), usually I mix it with their nightly wet canned food and they eat it up.

Before the Pet-Ease, all 3 cats would fight and run at full speeds all night, keeping us awake. Now that I feed them with this at night, we dont hear any noise from them, and they fall asleep right away after eating it. This is important for me as well because now I can get a good nights sleep!

It short this product works great, and all our picky cats love it. I highly recommend it, especially for very active cats.

I have a German Shepherd dog and I use Musher's Secret on his paws during the winter so that the salt and ice do not hurt them. He used to spend a lot of time licking his paws before I got this and now he doesn't do it as much when it snows (although he seems to like licking the Musher's Secret from his paws when I've just put it on) and he doesn't do it at all in normal weather. I have three cats: 2, 10 year olds and a 10 month old. The older male was urinating outside of his box and the older female was not very sociable when children were around.
