Family NET is recruiting a licensed therapist to provide outpatient mental health services to children and youth in the school setting. Services provided to consumers include assessment, development of treatment plans, consultation with teachers/school personnel, and individual, family and group therapy. The individual will be expected to run/lead a minimum of two therapy groups per week. This position focuses on services to children who are having behavioral problems in school, are victims of neglect, abuse, maltreatment or who have significant mental and/or emotional disturbance. Duties include developing, coordinating, and implementing outcome focused services for consumers through direct therapy and planning, case management, and linking clients to agencies and services.  Documentation and record-keeping duties are included.  This is an 80% position (9.6 months), working a full time schedule (40 hours per week) during the school year.  Employee will not work during the summer break while students are out of school.  Salary and benefits for positions are paid year-round at 80%.

REQUIRES:  Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or marriage and family therapy and two to three years of post-graduate counseling experience.  Must be licensed or eligible for NC Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychological Associate, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist upon date of hire. Provisionally licensed/board eligible candidates will be considered; however, full licensure  must be obtained within 30 months of date of hire in order to maintain employment. The Human Resources Director will manage a staff of 11 people in the department. We are seeking an individual who will maintain a high standard of customer service, continue a tradition of making the County an employer of choice, and who will seek and retain talent through programs such as mentoring, leadership development and succession planning.  Interpersonal skills that facilitate communication between employees, departments and management are essential.  Must be a team player who seeks input from employees and departments, and who educates them on enhancement opportunities to the workplace, benefits and programs. REQUIRES:  A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and five years’ progressive experience in human resources, including time as a director or assistant director.  A Master’s degree, particularly in Public Administration, and local government experience are preferred.  We are seeking someone who is a forward thinking and an innovative individual who will complement our organization with strong leadership and vision.  Salary negotiable based upon experience and qualifications.
