Description: Catawba County Animal Services is recruiting for a part-time Kennel Technician to ensure all animals received in the shelter from the public are properly inventoried and receive proper care. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing all kennels and cages; providing treatment and care for the animals; assisting the public with questions and adoptions; taking complaints; inputting complaints and rabies certificates into the computer; euthanizing unadopted, unclaimed and unwanted animals as needed; receiving the animals at the shelter. This position is a part-time hourly position, without benefits, working approximately 19 hours per week. Availability to work weekends and 1 half day during the week is needed. REQUIRES: Graduation from high school and one year of related experience with the demonstrated possession of required abilities to perform position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience working with and/or interacting with animals is necessary. (This experience must be included on application under work experience, skills, or another applicable section.) Must have the ability to deal tactfully with the public and explain laws and ordinances. Valid NC driver�s license required. This is considered Heavy Work; lifting in excess of 100 pounds occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds more frequently.

Description: Catawba County Public Health is recruiting for a highly motivated team player to fill an Office Support Specialist position in a manner that contributes to the provision of excellent services in a customer oriented work setting. This position will be responsible for the reception area of a Public Health Immunization Clinic, Child Health Clinic and the Totally Teens Health Center. Duties of this position will include, but not be limited to assuring timely and sufficient registration of all patients. This includes preparing patient records, verifying Medicaid and other third party coverage, checking patients into and out of clinic, and filling out any lab and procedure forms as needed. Also, perform data entry and collect fees as needed. REQUIRES: High school graduation or equivalent and two years of clerical/office related experience; or completion of a two-year or four-year degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. The employee must have good computer skills, communication skills, and the ability to interpret local, state and federal guidelines and regulations for use in carrying out daily job responsibilities. This is considered medium work, which requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds more frequently. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Family NET is recruiting a licensed therapist to provide outpatient mental health services to children and youth in the school setting. Services provided to consumers include assessment, development of treatment plans, consultation with teachers/school personnel, and individual, family and group therapy. The individual will be expected to run/lead a minimum of two therapy groups per week. This position focuses on services to children who are having behavioral problems in school, are victims of neglect, abuse, maltreatment or who have significant mental and/or emotional disturbance. Duties include developing, coordinating, and implementing outcome focused services for consumers through direct therapy and planning, case management, and linking clients to agencies and services. Documentation and record-keeping duties are included. This is an 80% position (9.6 months), working a full time schedule (40 hours per week) during the school year. Employee will not work during the summer break while students are out of school. Salary and benefits for positions are paid year-round at 80%. REQUIRES: Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or marriage and family therapy and two to three years of post-graduate counseling experience. Must be licensed or eligible for NC Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychological Associate, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist upon date of hire.
