I think it is the right word to describe the episode. Beside a couple a good lines and very few really nice scenes, nothing got my attention. Except, of course, the crazy car crash at the very end. It was probably the extreme way to put the word end to an extreme relationship. Sure, House acted like a loony, but in his very particular way of being it was the only rational thing to do to express his feelings and move on. Even if the episode was mediocre, the last scene was in my opinion the perfect cliffhanger. Usually the authors leave you with your breath hold because something unexpected happens, and then you spend the following months thinking about what will be in the next season. But your thoughts are based on some hypothesis that come from hinted the writers gave you. In this case though, we have nothing to base our theories on. We have absolutely no idea what will come next. And the fact the Cuddy’s character may not even come back in the eighth season, makes everything more intricate. A plus to the last two minutes of the episode, F for the rest of it.

2011 Season Finales

<img style="display: block; As Skins' habit we have a whole group of new characters every two years, and this time we start with a very complicated and twisted girl, Franky.
I was really impressed by the episode. I have noticed that in this tv show there are a lot of ups and downs, but Franky definitely pointed high for the season premiere. Amazing episode, delicate, introspective, bittersweet and tender. The other characters that I have seen so far seem to be interesting, even if not every single one of them.. yet . We'll see, it is premature to judge. For now I can say that this new season is like a fresh air breeze from the darkness of the previous seasons. Beside the first one in fact, I think that things went out of hands for a while, even if once in a while there have been amazing episodes that reminded you the greatness of the show.
My opinion so far: keep it this way!

It's a ruler!

<img style="display: block; She was a girl who was my friend who is now a girl who is not my friend.
Penny: Wow. That's, like, the worst country song ever.

Amy: In a world where rhinoceroses are domesticated pets, who wins the Second World War?
Sheldon: Uganda.
Amy: Defend.
Sheldon: Kenya rises to power on the export of rhinoceroses. A Central African power block is
formed, colonizing North Africa and Europe. When war breaks out,no one can afford the luxury of a rhino. Kenya withers,Uganda triumphs.
Amy: Correct.My turn.
Sheldon: In a world where a piano is a weapon, not a musical instrument, on what does Scott Joplin play "The Maple Leaf Rag"?
Amy: Tuned bayonets.
Sheldon: Defend.
Amy: Isn't it obvious?
Sheldon: You're right.My apologies.

Sheldon: She's not my girlfriend. She's a girl and she's my friend,but there's
no touching or unsanitary exchange of saliva. Although, for the record,on one occasion, she licked her thumb to remove raspberry
jelly from the corner of my mouth. It's an action we both regret to this day.

Raj: Nothing makes beer taste better than cool clear Rocky Mountain spring water. Where are the Rocky Mountains, anyway?
Howard: Philadelphia.
Raj: Really?I thought they were out West someplace.
Howard: Think about it,Raj.Where did the movie Rocky take place?
Raj: Philadelphia. Okay, now I get it.

Sheldon's mother: He thinks he's such a smarty pants. He's no different from any man. You tell 'em not to do
something, that's all they want to do. If I hadn't told my brother Stumpy not to clear out the wood chipper by hand, we'd still be calling him Edward. Now,don't you move. It's not a debatable proposition.
Dr. Cuddy: Right. Because you can see the future.
House: No, but I can see the past. And you're gonna remember all the horrible things I've done, and you're going to try and convince yourself that I've changed. And I'm gonna start doing those horrible things again, because I haven't changed. Then you'll realize that... I'm an insane choice for someone who has a kid. And from there, it's a short step to the inevitable conclusion that all of this... was a mistake.

House: You think I can change. Tell me where I'm wrong.
Dr. Cuddy: I don't want you to change. I know you're screwed up. I know you are always gonna be screwed up. But you're the most incredible man I've ever known. You are always gonna be... the most incredible man I have ever known. So unless you're breaking up with me, I'm going home now.

House: You think I'm afraid to go public? I'm gonna prove you wrong.
Dr. Cuddy: With a tripod?
House: With a sex tape. We'll send it to Wilson. It's win-win. We get to do it again. And... he might actually learn something.

Dr. Cuddy: Why didn't you let him in?
House: You were thinking about Wilson while we were having sex? I will probably watch it again and again and again... just because I loved it!!! But it wasn't the usual House episode, it almost seemed like a whole different new show: too much Huddy and not so much House. Honestly, do I really care about it? The answer is, of course, NO! Great episode!!! It opened the door for so many new interesting scenes for the future, and I can't wait! Too bad for just two things: we didn't have the chance to see House dealing with Thirteen leaving (yet), and I wanted to see more Wilson, but I think I just have to wait for it. It's amazing how a seven years old show has still the strenght to get new and reinvent itself: awesome writers. So, now what? We wait 'till next monday, of course!

The big C - 1x04 - Playing the cancer car

This show is killing me! Every new episode is better than the previous one, Laura Linney is simply amazing playing her character, and the supporting actors are well chosen and they fit perfectly in their roles. The story is both funny and tragic. Funny because the situation is presented like that, even if in the reality of things is the opposite. For the whole episode the critic condition of a cancer patient is faced as one of the many things that could happen in your life and is showed almost as a normal disease. The person that you are and the person that you could be meet on the screen, and (no doubts about that) you like the person you could be way more than the other one. But in the end, the very last minutes of the episode, you come back to reality again and an endless sadness and desperation grow inside you. Like in this episode: a day of fun and crazy shopping, almost a perfect happy day, but then... Cathy leaves the car as a present for her son.
Excellent written show, full of feelings and thoughts. When you've done watching an episode, you just stay still, you hold your breath and you realize there are so many things you wish you could do.

Glee - Season 1

I'm not sure what to think about this show. It's definitely one of the most popular show right now, and I have to say that is original and nice to watch (pretty much all the time), it's funny and well played; some of the characters are amazing and really interesting and full of potential. But there's still something that doesn't convince me. Maybe the fact that is all about musicals (not my favourite kind of show), or maybe the fact that something more could come out from the show, but it just doesn't. For example they try to create a storyline, and they get lost right in the middle of it; they face a lot of problems about education, art teaching, teenagers issues, but they don't go deep into them. And so you have this nice taste of a great show, but at the same time you don't completely make it yours. I will keep watching it though, because it's a really good show and I hope it could get better. We'll see!

"Sort Of" - a Peggy/Don video

Mad men - 4x07 - The suitcase

What a great episode!!! I'm not sure I can say this was the best episode of the series so far, because it wasn't focuse that much on the show itself, but it was definitely a break in the characters Don and Peggy. Now we know so many things about them, their hidden and secret personalities came out, and from now on the only thing we can expect is that everything is going to get better. Maybe slowly, but the difficult moments we have seen lately I think ended with the Don and Peggy scenes of this episode. Scenes that brought to maybe one of the best tv moment I've ever watched, a well definied climax, excellent played, that leads to a good, even if sad, ending. Nothing was out of place, and even if this wasn't the usual Mad Men episode, we were still able to follow the storyline. Storyline that is now even more interesting, and Mad Men keeps growing no stop as one of the best tv show ever.

The Riches

I didn't like so much the first episode of the series, but I decided to keep watching because I saw a lot of potential in this show. Maybe the very first episode finds you completely unprepared on travellers' culture and lifestyle and that's why you're not sure if it's going to be a really good or a really bad show. It turns out already in the second episode that it's a great series, an amazing story with incredible characters and a whole new world to discover. After a while you find yourself thinking about this confortable and clean life you're kind of stuck in, and you realize that the american dream is not such a sweet dream; it looks a lot more like a war you have to fight every day, and the hardest fight is the one against yourself.
If you're looking for a comic and full of laughs series this is not the best to pick up, but I hardly recommend it if you want to see a well written show!

Cougar Town

Probably one of the best new tv show this year. Cougar Town is funny and sweet, well written and with incredible actors. The comedy is genuine and hilarious, there are no boring moments and every second fits perfectly in the story. Each character is well described and played: Courteney Cox is just brilliant and the role of the new divorced-still young and beautiful woman and mother is perfect for her; the best friend and neighbor Christa Miller comes straight from Scrubs giving her best as the bitch but sweet woman, as always; Josh Hopkins is handsome and sweet and unconventional as usual; and finally the amazing Dan Byrd (already seen in the very nice Aliens in America show) rises up as a new and fantastic actor. I strongly recommend Cougar Town!

United States of Tara

Amazing show with the outstanding Toni Collette. It's just incredible how she can play so many different characters. Of course they're kind of stereotyped, but that's exactly what you expect from a Multiple Personalities Disorder. The writing is brilliant. From one side in fact it shows how interesting and weird, and also sometimes funny, this very particular kind of disorder is, but on the other side it also shows how difficult, for both the affected person and their family, the every day life is. Main characters are well played, especially Marshall and the character of Max, the husband, is so sweet and tender towards Tara and the alters. His behaviour indicates a deep love for the family, and even with the simplicity of his personality he always try to make things better, showing how hard it is, but at the same time not impossible.
I highly recommend this show!

Justice

Justice is probably the best legal show I've ever seen and I definitely do not understand why they didn't make a second season. Each episode has a very interesting case and everything is explained with incredible rationality and clearness. While many others legal drama are based most of all on the human case of the episode or the relationships between the characters, Justice is focused on the legal procedure of the trail, it's like being behind the scenes of the court. More over the characters are well mixed and played in an amazing way. No surprises considering the cast (Victor Garber, Kerr Smith, Rebecca Mader and Eamonn Walker) and of course the great producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Excellent show.

Harper's island

When I started whatching this tv show I thought it was not so bad after all. The first episodes are interesting and misterious and you want to discover more about all these murders. The expectations are kept high. And in my opinion it was the only good thing to do because for the rest, the show is not great: characters are pretty much all flat and without personality, the stories are meaningless and sometimes even silly, and when you finally discover who the killer is, episode by episode you just lose interest and you even start wondering why you are watching the show. The final episodes have been painfull to watch and the conclusion of the story is completely out of reality. I have to admit though that during the episodes it was hard to understand who the killer was: that has probably been the only great part of the show.

2009 Season Premiere

8/31 - Greek - 3x01 - The day after
9/14 - One Tree Hill - 7x01 - 4:30 AM (Apparently they were travelling abroad)
9/14 - Gossip girl - 3x01 - Reversals of fortune
9/17 - Bones - 5x01 - Harbingers in the fountain
9/21 - House - 6x01 - Broken
9/21 - How I met your mother - 5x01 - Definitions
9/21 - The big bang theory - 3x01 - The electric can opener fluctuation
9/24 - Grey's anatomy - 6x01 - Good mourning
9/24 - CSI - 10x01 - Family affair
9/24 - The mentalist - 2x01 - Redemption
9/27 - Brothers and sisters - 4x01 -
9/27 - Californication - 3x01 - Wish you were here
9/27 - Dexter - 4x01 - Living the dream
9/28 - Lie to me - 2x01 - The core of it
10/1 - Private practice - 3x01 -

Six Feet Under - 5x10 - All alone

Nathaniel Samuel Fisher, Jr
1965 - 2005

One of the greatest episode of tv shows.

How I met your mother - 4x24 - The leap

An enjoyable episode for this forth season finale. We now have another hint about Ted's future wife: she is in fact in Ted's class. I really hope in the next season we find out who she is because by now I'm too curious.
Eventually Barney does his move with Robin and the scene is simply great. I'm sure funny and awesome things will happen between the two.
I would have liked a nicer story for the Goat, because they talked about this Goat so many times and I guess the expectations were too high, but yet it has been another funny moment.
The last scene is amazing and that leap on the roof opened many doors for this incredible show.

To everyone: have a legen - wait for it - dary summer! :-D

Eli Stone - 2x13 - Flight path

For the very first time I had the chance to watch an episode of an american tv show before the americans! In fact this episode of Eli Stone has been on italian television before time because of the decision to cut the show in the USA.
I don't know if it is going to be the series finale or if they eventually decide it is worthed to produce more epiosdes. Anyway it was a very nice episode. Eli takes a difficult case about heart transplant: the parents of a dying girl decide not to give their daughter's heart to a very sick woman who needs it, because of religion contrasts. Eli helps the woman to get the heart after he saw her in one of his vision. Unfortunately she will not survive.
In his visions Eli also sees that someone he really cares about will die in a plane crash. He tries to avoid the terrible accident and eventually he does it, but he ends up in the hospital because of one of his two aneurysms. In the end everyone is safe, Taylor and Matt are going to get married soon and Jordan is trying to fix things between him and Taylor's mother. Maggie is next to Eli in the hospital and a door is left open for the two of them. The future is still unknown and God's plans for what will happen aren't reveiled yet.

Eli Stone

I have started watching Eli Stone just few days ago because a friend of mine told me it was a very nice show, and since then all I have done has been watch episode by episode no stop. All this just to say that Eli Stone is a great show. The fact that a very serious medical condition can be used with such interesting prospective is the point of strenght of the program. A weird lawyer with visions sent by God and all the great characters around him create every time a wonderful case and incredible stories. Funny moments and life problems together with faith and trust issues are well mixed for a great result.

Chuck - 2x22 - Chuck versus the ring

It was a season finale full of amazing moments and it turned out as an excellent episode. Finally the wedding! We couldn't wait anymore. And finally those pretty intense moments between Chuck and Sarah, Brice that I really hope is not going to show up again because he makes trouble all the time, and the incredible Casey! That man rocked in this episode! After two lousy years at the Buymore Chuck and Morgan quit: great decision.
At some point it seemed that everything would eventually be "normal" in Chuck's live, but then again the very unlucky guy as to deal with the Intersect. And now he also has special kung fu powers! Best quote of 2009 seasons finale: Guys, I know kung fu!
