Food Catering Services

The three kinds of food catering services are: delivery, buffet style with or without servers, and seated service. Each one has their plus and minuses. Let’s talk about them for a minute.

Companies often use food caterers to feed staff during meetings and events. Most of the time this means a delivery and sometimes setup. From there, it’s self-service and self-cleanup. Every now and then, like the casual holiday party or some speaker event, servers are ordered to service everything.

Buffet catering for some sounds magical. The idea of no lines, more options to eat, and everything being casual sounds great. As you well know, a lot of people dislike to wait and be served multiple courses in seated setting. For many food lovers the buffet rings as the ultimate way to have a lunch or a party.

Others like being serviced and tasting one dish at a time, sometimes with wine, beer or some other beverage. It’s the idea of sharing time with family, friends, and colleagues that’s just as exciting as the meal.

This type of service is usually impractical, except for wedding food catering and other formal events. As you probably know, finger food and drinks are usually served beforehand so people can socialize about the room before having to sit for dinner. Food catering services often refer to the bar and the dance floor as the great escape for the wiggle worm who wished they had a buffet.

Let’s look at a food catering menu or two to see which one tickles your fancy. Too often people think food varies according to the event. That’s just false. Anything can be prepared for almost any occasion. It’s the presentation and service that changes everything, not the food.

Lunch could be filet mignon with rich pepper sauce, a side of whipped creamy potatoes, and a baked tomato sprinkled with a light cheese; or it could be a fresh baguette sandwich hot or cold with a drink and dessert. It all depends on the situation and what you think is appropriate.

Now, take party food catering where there’s gorgeous stations spread out across the room with all kinds of goodies. The wide variety of horderves and desserts stand out as masterpieces, but many of the dishes could be everything I already mentioned.

Either way, we are here help you make your vision a reality big or small.

No matter which food catering services you choose, each individual will have their opinion about what they would like. That you cannot change. So, better you craft a vision of what you think will be best and make the party everything you hope and dream it with a skillful food caterer.

Most catering menus look alike. Take lunch for example. Most places offer a boxed lunch or buffet with a dessert and drink. Look closer and you’ll find pricing is also almost the same. This pattern continues whether you’re searching for a wedding catering menu for your reception or a basic food delivery for the office.

With all the similarities, how do you differentiate catering menus?

In short, taste.

Presentation and service also matter, but if the taste buds aren’t happy, everything else is secondary. This is why it’s important to talk with the company and get a sample of what you’re ordering. If you don’t have time for this, ask for references and better yet see what others are saying about the food.

Make your holidays catering stress-free with Catering Houston. As you know, shopping and preparing a lot of food is a major task. We’re here to help.

Houston has many different holiday caterers. Why choose Catering Houston? In simple language, we cater to thousands of satisfied customers every month at our popular restaurant in Houston. And we guarantee to give you the same high-quality food and service for your party.

Look at our Holiday catering menu and then call or email us with your questions. We’re ready to create whatever you have in mind, or suggest dishes that will help make your party perfect.

I’ve kept our popular Thanksgiving Houston holidays catering menu posted (Surprisingly, a lot of people continue to order it for the holidays).

And since the Holidays brings on many different kinds of parties, finger food, hors d’oeuvres, and canapes, with full-course lunch and dinner options are available for you to mix and match. Maybe you’ll want to try some of our homemade pies and cakes. Please let us know what you’re thinking and we will present you with several holiday selections to choose from.

“Our holidays catering makes a lot of sense” says Managing Partner Douglas Roberts. Most people are beyond busy with their work and in their personal lives. They want to have the party but they don’t care to cook or clean, or do too much other work to make it happen. That’s where we can help out.”

Whether you’re having a small get together with your family and friends, or you need holiday party catering for your business, you can count on this holiday caterer to create fabulous food for you and your guests.

What else? Oh yes, when you call, it would be helpful if you have a general idea of the number of people attending, the type of food you want, the location you would like it delivered, if you want a buffet or be individually served, if you need wait staff to serve and clean up, and your budget per person or total budget. From this basic information, I can come up with the dinner menu and plans to make your holidays catering a success.

Think in terms of, do want to walk into your party, enjoy it, walk out happy, without much work? Or do you want to organize everything, and just have the food prepared for you to keep costs to a minimum. Either way, we’re happy to make your holidays catering whatever you want.

Wedding Catering That Lasts Forever

What’s behind the wedding catering – the food, the cake, and many other well thought out details that help create an unforgettable event. Just ask someone you know to show you their wedding photos and you’ll know what I mean when I say, wedding catering does last forever.

One thing everybody remembers is the reception. So, it’s important to choose wedding food catering services carefully.

In short, even the smallest weddings are huge events. When you’re planning one, there are so many details that require particularly close attention: the engagement announcements, the engagement party, choosing a venue, the bride’s dress, bridesmaid dresses, the bridal shower and much more.

Set up an interview

When interviewing potential wedding caterers, ask about their education and training, the number of years they’ve been in the business and for a list of venues they’ve serviced. Ask for client references and be sure to follow up.

Find out about their specialty. Do menu options change with the seasons? Most caterers use fresh ingredients that happen to be in season at the time of a scheduled event. And they create beautiful presentations.

One important part of the interviewing process is sampling the menu. Even if you haven’t settled on every single dish you plan to serve, a caterer can give you a good idea of their cooking skills by scheduling a food tasting.

Keep in mind, some caterers for weddings can also design your wedding cake. You can schedule a tasting of different types of cakes as well.

Different ways to celebrate

There are many different types of wedding food and catering ideas to choose from.

If you’re goal is catering for a wedding on a budget, breakfast and brunch receptions are gaining popularity.

They are usually quite affordable if and can consist of something as simple as a menu of sweet breads, pastries and fresh fruit.

An elegant cost cutting idea for an evening reception that’s very popular is a cocktail style celebration where various hors d’oeuvres are presented along with drinks.

Of course an elegant, four course, sit down meal never goes out of style.

Buffets also remain popular. Restaurant wedding receptions are ideal for this sort of celebration since everything required to serve your guests is right there at your fingertips.

Whether you’re planning an intimate backyard garden reception, restaurant wedding reception or a reception in a lavish banquet hall, catering can make your life a lot easier.

You can request different levels of service from food preparation and delivery services only to a fully trained staff providing food prep, set up, serving and clean up duties.

Stick to the budget

When you’re planning the wedding day of your dreams, you don’t have to go broke doing it. Here are a few tips that can help control your expenses:

Caterers usually quote fees based on the number of guests. Many caterers have a base head count of 100. If you will only be inviting 75 guests, ask the company if you will automatically be charged for the base number of guests.

Find out if tips and taxes are automatically included in price quotes so that you don’t pay them more than once.

Ask whether the quoted price includes table linens, napkins, glassware, flatware and dishes. Normally there is an extra charge.

Knowing what you want and sticking to your budget can make working with wedding catering expert a positive experience.

Restaurant Catering Makes Sense

Restaurant catering companies offer services from delivering food to servicing an entire event.

Restaurants have a track-record. They feed lots of people everyday, and sure enough you’ll find reviews and get feedback from their customers quickly. This should give you a great idea of how their restaurant catering service will look like for whatever catering need you have.

The restaurant catering your office or event

What better way to know if a place is right for you than to try out the restaurant, and at the end, ask for a catering menu. That happens a lot over at our place. People come by for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner to check out the food and service and start asking questions towards the end of their meal.

If you’re planning on having it there you probably want to ask to see the private dining room and ask about the arrangements like, what’s the restaurant capacity? And the difference between the buffet and the sit down and be served service? In general, buffets tend to be more convenient and offer more variety with menu selections. But sit down meals are usually more elegant. We can do both. Which one is for you?

Restaurant party catering or another venue

As you know, you have the option of having catering performed at the restaurant site or brought to the venue of your choosing. Before booking the food catering and servers, you’ll need to get some very important details straight.

Find out the approximate number of staff that will be on hand to support the function. Ask questions about how many cooks, servers, bartenders, food runners or banquet captains will be present. You’ll also want to discuss set-up and tear down of any tables, clean up and items required such as table cloths, napkins, flatware, glassware, plates and so forth if it’s off site.

If you are holding your event at another location, find out whether or not the catering restaurant has ever worked at the venue before. Even so, visit the place together and draft a plan of how you will work with any limitations and challenges the rented kitchen may present. Remember to do a walk through of the venue together right before the big day.

Restaurant testimonials

Just because you’ve always enjoyed your dining experience at a certain restaurant doesn’t mean that they are the best catering choice for your event. Restaurantcatering is one of those services that you are likely to hear lots of horror stories about things going wrong like showing up late, an unexpected menu change or problems setting up the wine bar.

The best thing you can do is talk to actual people who have employed their restaurant catering party services. They can give you an actual idea of what to expect. Client testimonials for the restaurant are priceless.

Restaurant caterers have experience

Experienced, professional caterers are always prepared for the unexpected. Restaurants encounter every situation imaginable everyday so this gives them a lot of credibility in catering events. All together, restaurant catering can take away the stress and guess work as they have the experience to make your event work out perfectly.

Corporate Catering For The Office And That Special Event

Corporate catering for you could mean providing a quick meal for the office or a corporate client. It may also mean having to organize and put on a major event or party. Either way, you’re looking for a corporate caterer to help you get the job done right. That’s where we come into the picture.

As you know, many different occasions in business call for corporate catering services: department meetings, client meetings, new product launch, promotional gatherings, awards banquets, retirement celebrations and holiday parties just to name a few. The corporate catering menu depends on the location of the event, time of day and of course the occasion.

Casual office meetings

Once a week, or month, you meet with your department supervisor and employees to review department performance, set new goals and discuss any internal changes taking place. Whether the meeting takes place bright and early in the morning or late in the afternoon, one of the best ways to show employees appreciation for their hard work is to provide a catered breakfast or corporate lunch.

One benefit of making arrangements for casual business meetings is that it ensures everyone is on time since no one has to scramble to grab a meal in a rush to make the meeting on time. This type of casual catering can also be affordable compared to picking up fast food or taking everyone out to eat. Sweet breads and pastries with fruit or tasty breakfast and lunch sandwich trays are ideal corporate fare. Disposable plates, cups and napkins make clean up a breeze.

There are a variety of options available to receive your order. You can choose to pick it up yourself on the way into the office or have it delivered. The objective of hiring professionals, even for casual events, is convenience.

Lunch with a client

Sometimes it may be necessary to have clients meet with you at your office. In this case a catered corporate lunch might be in order. Provide everyone with easy trays that include a substantial lunch sandwich, or soup and a salad. You could event have corpcaterers put together a small buffet-style luncheon for you and your guests.

Corporate catering for formal gatherings

Formal occasions that include a presentation or keynote speaker work much better if all guests are seated at tables. This calls for corporate event catering that comes complete with linens, china and glassware. The caterer can arrange to have food prepared on site by hired kitchen staff and meals served to guests adds a special flair to the evening. It also ensures that everyone’s food is hot and fresh when it reaches the table.

For other events like the corporate holiday party, buffets work well. Everyone can serve themselves as they mix and mingle with other guests. Another benefit of buffets is that they are usually less expensive than sit down meals, and provide everyone with more food options to select from.

No event is too big or too small

Catering has long been thought of as an option for the wealthy, very large events with large guest lists or special occasions. It’s becoming common for a business to develop a long-term relationship with a catering company they can count on for all their corporate needs whether casual or formal.
