Protestants: 5 Ways they are Condemned by Scripture

Epistles and Chapter 2 of Revelation

Catholics, east and west, are frequently challenged by protestants as having fallen away from the true faith and therefore are satanic.

However, scripture itself testifies AGAINST protestants, their various theologies, and proves that they themselves face condemnation.

1. The book of Romans. Paul write an entire epistle to the Church of the Romans, which is ROME. That church STILL EXISTS nearly 2,000 years later. This is direct scriptural testimony that the protesters, who have not only broken with the Church but blaspheme her, are WRONG. Jesus who watches has not removed her lampstand to this day.

2. The books to the Corinthians. The Corinthian Churches, Orthodox AND Catholic, STILL EXIST today. Their lampstand, the light of Christ, REMAINS and has not been removed by Christ.

3. The books to the Ephesians. The church of Ephesus had its lampstand REMOVED and no longer exists. This, even though the very tomb of St. John (pictured) remains there, and the home he built for the Holy Mother remains.

4. Works are ESSENTIAL to faith. While protestant rebels claim that we are justified by faith alone, Jesus himself claims otherwise VERY CLEARLY.

Rev 2: [2] I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them that are evil, and thou hast tried them, who say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: (anathematized them in councils irrevocably-damnation unless fully repented and converted).

[5] Be mindful therefore from whence thou art fallen: and do penance, and do the first works. Or else I come to thee, and will move thy candlestick out of its place, except thou do penance.

[19] I know thy works, and thy faith, and thy charity, and thy ministry, and thy patience, and thy last works which are more than the former.

[23]... and I will give to every one of you according to your works.

What will it profit, my brethren, if a man says he has faith, but does not have works? Can the faith save him? . . . So faith too, unless it has works, is dead in itself . . . But dost thou want to know, O senseless man, that faith without works is useless? . . . You see that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only . . . For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith also without works is dead (James 2).

5. The Papacy

A reference to the power and AUTHORITY of the Papacy: [26] And he that shall overcome, and keep my works unto the end, I will give him power over the nations. [27] And he shall rule them with a rod of iron, and as the vessel of a potter they shall be broken, [28] As I also have received of my Father: and I will give him the morning star. [29] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.

Papacy is also referenced as 'another father' or 'another papa' which is another POPE. [13] I know where thou dwellest, where the seat of Satan is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith. Even in those days when Antipas was my faithful witness, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

The Lampstand of Christ with us REMAINS with these ancient churches, begun by the Apostles, as they STILL EXIST. Those whom Jesus found abandoning His Faith had their lampstands removed.

Penance

A heavy dose of penance and searching our hearts is required by Christ to bring us to the right path of His Salvation.

The ancient catholic and apostolic churches have kept true to what Jesus identifies as 'MY faith'. It will take a true grace of humility to renounce the blasphemies and lies and to accept the authority given by Christ.

Lent, Demon Legion & Nigeria

Legion of Hell

There was a demon who could not be bound or stopped, (Mark 5:9, Luke 8:30-36)and Our Lord was the ONLY one who could exorcise it. That demon gave its name as 'legion' and when asked by the Apostles, Jesus told him that there are some demons that can only be removed by prayer and fasting. (Matt 17:20, Mark 9:28)

The demon that appears to be rising, against ALL efforts to stop it, is that of sexual perversion, and the sacrifice of the innocent that feeds the monster- abortion. In other words, the true LEGION OF HELL.

The horrors committed against Nigerians, and their Christians, by the 'Islamist' group Boko Haram, have not only terrorized the people, but are so vicious that they must be considered DIABOLICAL in origin.

Lent and Legion

Lent is the time for the entire church to fast and purify against such demons and the damage they cause around the world, but not only has Mardi Gras turned into an excuse for public perverse licentiousness, this Lent it has even gotten an official hearing by the Pope in the Vatican.

On Ash Wednesday, an event unheard of since the beginning of time in the church occurred without, seemingly, any protest or outrage on the part of the people of God. A major faction of the gay lobby met with the Pope.

Despite the deceptive new world order claims of 'human rights' and 'peace toward all,' that only ONE agenda seems to have any power to bring an end to the bloodshed and torture; and that is the agenda of family destruction and perverse sexuality, abortion and birth control.

Bishop Emmanuel Badejo of Oyo, Nigeria: "The United States (Obama Administration) has made clear it will not help Nigeria fight the Boko Haram terror group unless the country modify its laws regarding homosexuality, family planning and birth-control."

Compromised Church

With a strong representation of gays in the offices of Bishop in the Church, is it even possible that they could 'fast and pray' in order to drive Legion out of Africa, out of the Church, out of the world? Jesus made it clear that to exorcise such monsters the apostles would need to be holy, purified, and profoundly sanctified.

Refusal to cleanse the church on the part of our officials has placed their flock, and their innocents, directly on the dinner table of hell.

Is it even possible that the fasting and prayer of the flock, during this Lent, could make any difference at all in a situation so monstrous?

Akita Warning

Or are the warnings of Our Lady of Akita, so completely ignored by the prelates, coming to full fruition: "The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church ... If sins increase in number and gravity, there will no longer be pardon for them."

Has God, WILL GOD, remove the grace of the sacraments from the very men ordained to deliver them, and all their benefits of salvation for the people?

Ps 2: 1-3 Raging Nations & Chains, St. Augustine

Exposition of Psalm 2 of St. Augustine

St Augustine lived just past the worst of the Christian persecution, and had to comfort the flock who had suffered such serious damage by the raging nations. To us, who also suffer this rage of the nations, their violence and war, their coercion at gunpoint, it seems not only powerful but effective.

To the nations, those who inflict their violence on the people, the absence of immediate and almighty Divine action against their schemes and conspiracies, their bloodlust against God's people, is proof not only that these things work, but that God is either a passive wimp or doesn't exist at all.

For us, it requires a profound act of trust, of faith, to believe that God knows and acts, and does so in our best interests, even if we die.

As to St. Augustine, from the perspective of the Eternal God, and the Eternal Church, these schemes and devices have a particular END in mind, and that END was visited upon Jesus Christ Himself.

Ps 2:1-2 Why have the nations raged, and the peoples devised futile schemes? The kings of the earth have arisen, and the rulers conspired together against the Lord and against His Christ.

Augustine says, "The question "Why?" is asked as if to suggest "in vain," for they have not accomplished their end, that Christ be destroyed. This is said with reference to Christ's persecutors, who are spoken of also in the Acts of the Apostles.

Acts 4:25-27 Who, by the Holy Ghost, by the mouth of our father David, thy servant, hast said: Why did the Gentiles rage, and the people meditate vain things? The kings of the earth stood up, and the princes assembled together against the Lord and his Christ. For of a truth there assembled together in this city against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel.

It seems that we need the reminder that their ultimate aim is to kill God, to kill those God sends, so that thereby the earth and all authority will remain in THEIR hands and not be turned over to God.

Ps 2:3 Let us burst their chains asunder, and throw their yoke away from us.

St. Augustine says, "Although this might be understood otherwise, it is most suitably taken to refer to those who, he said, were devising futile schemes. "Let us burst their chains asunder, and throw their yoke away from us"
"The meaning, then, of Let us burst their chains asunder, and throw their yoke away from us, is, "Let us do our utmost to ensure that the Christian religion does not fetter us and is not imposed on us."
(Note: the verb in latin is akin to religare, to bind, make fast, whence probably the noun "religion" is derived. Take note also of the 'binding and loosing' authority Christ endowed to Peter.)

So, aside from St Augustine and the governments in his day, which had just come off horrible persecutions of Christians, in our own day we can see that even governments in Christian countries, like Europe, want absolutely NO MENTION of God in their constitutions or documents, groups that do not want to be held to the morality of Christianity, want to shake off that yoke and through law force their morality upon the rest of us, that instead of seeing wicked human behaviors for what they are- separate and outside of God's intended designs for us, they instead blame God.

Ps 1:6 To Be or Not to Be?

Who or What Determines Our Being?

Ps 1:6. For the Lord knows the way of the just.

St. Augustine teaches: "As the proverb says, "medicine knows health but does not know diseases," and yet diseases too are diagnosed by medical skill, so too it can be said that the Lord knows the way of the just, but does not know the way of the ungodly. This does not mean that there is anything the Lord does not know, but he did say to sinners, I never knew you (Mt. 7:23). However, to say, the way of the ungodly will perish, is substantially the same as saying, "The Lord does not know the way of the ungodly"; but it makes the point clearer that to be unknown to the Lord is to perish, and to be known by him is to remain. Thus being corresponds to God's knowledge, and non-existence to not being known, for the Lord said I AM WHO I AM. Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, HE WHO IS has sent me to you. (Ex 3:14).

Our Essential Existence

For us, this is an important point- Augustine points out that since God IS being, that for us to EVEN EXIST we must be known by Him. He knew us first, or we would never have been born.

But afterward, have we done anything to be known by God?

If our very existence depends on us seeking God so He 'knows' us, then Jesus' statement to 'christians' in Matthew is frightening indeed. Again we are faced with the issue of 'faith alone' or 'faith with works.'

Jesus' words are addressed SPECIFICALLY to Christians: "Matt 7:22-23 Many will say to me in that day: Lord, Lord, have not we prophesied in thy name, and cast out devils in thy name, and done many miracles in thy name? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity."

Chapter of Judgment

The chapter of scripture used by St Augustine- Matt 7, is entirely about our judgment. It is a yardstick we can use with our faith-walk to measure in a useful way how close we are to the Divine Will and sanctity, and LIFE.

To be sent away by Christ, of whom many say 'all that is needed for salvation is to believe in His name,' we can see that even those who use Our Lord's Name in their activities have NO GUARANTEE that they are doing ANYTHING to forward Our Lord's Kingdom OR His interests.

We do know that Our Lady lived in God's Divine Will, and in every way God 'KNOWS' her. She has assisted and given help to us to do so: The Virgin Mary in the Kingdom of the Divine Will

Ps 1:5 Atheists or Sinners?

What is the Distinction between Ungodly and Sinners?

5. Therefore the ungodly do not rise in the place of judgment.

St Augustine has it:

"Obviously not, because they are whirled away from the face of the earth like dust. Rightly did the psalm say that the very thing the proud crave, namely, to exercise judgment, is taken away from them."

"The point is made more clearly in the following clause: nor sinners in the assembly of the just.
It is usual that what is said in the first half of a verse should be repeated more clearly in the following clause: nor sinners in the assembly of the just."

"Thus those who are now called sinners are to be identified with the ungodly, and the earlier phrase, in the place of judgment, is here expressed as in the asembly of the just. Or, at any rate, if the ungodly are one thing, and sinners another, in the sense that every ungodly person is a sinner, but not all sinners are ungodly, still the ungodly do not rise in the place of judgment. That is to say, they rise indeed, but not to be judged, because they have already been consigned to most sure and certain punishment."

"Sinners, on the other hand, do not rise in the assembly of the just in order to exercise judgment, but perhaps rather that they may be judged. Hence it is said of them, The work of each one will be disclosed for what it is, for it will be revealed by fire. If the work anyone has put into buiding survives, that builder will be rewarded. If anyone's work is burnt up, he will suffer the loss; but he himself will be saved indeed, though it be through fire (1 Cor 3:13-15)."

So There are Three

Today many Christians believe that there is either hell, where all the ungodly go, or heaven where everyone goes directly. It is also believed that those who 'believe on the name of Jesus' will go directly to heaven when they die, and that THEY will be the ones to exercise judgment over the atheists.

However the earliest church made the distinctions that Augustine made, and still does.

First group. They are the ungodly, the atheists; and as Augustine makes clear, since their decision was already made they don't even appear at this judgment!

The second group are the sinners. These are not the ones to exercise judgment over anyone, to reign with Christ or anyone else. It is this group which faces the fire.

Catholics would call this 'purgatory.' A purgation by fire.

For the 'faith alone' crowd, the apostle makes it clear that their faith allows them to face judgment, and the judgment will be based on the works that survive the fire.

Of this group, if any of their works survive the fire, they face a reward. If no works survive the fire, they will 'suffer the loss' but their souls will be saved.

The third group are those doing the judging. These are the holy, the sanctified, those who's heroic life in the faith have gained them the place of doing judging. As the Holy Apostles are each a pillar of the Church, they were the first fruits of Christ's sacrifice, and part of this elite group.

Ps 1:4 Pride and the Heart of Man

Our Heritage

1:4 "The wicked (Godless, ungodly) are not like this, but like dust which the wind sweeps away from the face of the earth."

Augustine teaches us that the word "earth" is to be understood as that steadfastness in God, of which it is said, The Lord is my allotted inheritance; indeed, my inheritance is glorious to me (Ps 15(16):5-6). Accordingly, scripture says, 'wait for the Lord and heed his ways, and he will exalt you to possess the earth as your inheritance (Ps 36(37):34); and similarly, 'blessed are the gentle, for they will inherit the earth (Mt 5:4).

"We can find an analogy for this. As the visible earth nourishes and sustains human life outwardly (in the flesh), so that other invisible earth (our Lord) nourishes and sustains our inner being (Eucharist).

Wicked Pride

From the face of this earth, the ungodly are swept away by the wind, that is, by pride because it puffs them up. 1 Cor 8:1 'Knowledge puffeth up."

Someone who was on guard against this, being inebriated by the bounty of God's house (the church) and intoxicated by its torrent of pleasure, prayed, 'Let not the foot of pride come near me' (Ps 35:12(36:11).

From this earth pride cast forth him who said, 'I will set my throne in the north, I shall be like the Most High' (Is 14:13-14) (Although in the immediate sense it applied to the King of Babylon, from the beginning of tradition it was applied to Satan (Lk 10:18, Rv 12:3-9).

From the face of this earth, he too (Adam), was cast forth by pride, who after agreeing to taste the forbidden fruit in order to be like God, hid himself from the face of God. (Gen 3:8).

Inmost Heart

That this earth is where our inner life BELONGS, and that we are cast forth FROM it by pride, is most clearly understood from the text "What business have earth and ashes to be proud? Even in life he has thrown away his inmost parts (heart) (Sir 10:9-10). It is not unreasonable to say that "he was cast out" from the place where he cast himself out.

Points to Consider

In our times, more than 1500 years later than St. Augustine, we see how prideful, wicked and cold the very heart of humanity has become. Our Lord has granted us many remedies, many graces, to help us to turn our hearts TO God, to return to having loving and good hearts instead of hearts of stone.

Ps 1:3 Christ the Tree by the Running Waters

The Powerful Establishment of a Tree

Psalm 1:3 "He will be like a tree planted alongside the running waters.

The faith of St. Augustine tells him that 'this may refer to Wisdom itself, who deigned to assume humanity for our salvation, so that it is the human Christ who is planted like a tree by the running waters; for what is said in another psalm, "the river of God is brimming with water" (Ps 64:10(65:9)) can also be taken in this sense.

The Running Waters

Augustine says, 'again this can be referred to the Holy Spirit, concerning whom it is said, "He himself will baptize you with the Holy Spirit (Mt. 3:11), and in another place, 'If anyone is thirsty, let him come and drink,' (Jn 7:37) and again, 'If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who is asking you for water, you would have asked of him, and he would have given you living water. Anyone who drinks of the water I shall give will never be thirsty, for it will become in that person a fountain of water spring forth to eternal life' (Jn 4:10, 13-14).

Waters of Peoples

This great saint has a broad understanding. He considers 'another possibility, is that alongside the running waters means, because of the sins of the peoples, partly because waters MEANS peoples in the Book of Revelation (Apocalypse) in Rev 17:15 'The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and nations, and tongues.' Partly because the running stream is not implausibly understood as "FALLING," something which is applicable to wrongdoing.

That tree, therefore, is Our Lord, who draws those who are in the way (of sinners) out from the running waters, that is, out from the peoples who sin. By drawing them into the roots of his discipline, he 'will bring forth fruit;' that is, he will ESTABLISH CHURCHES, but in due time, that is, after he has been glorified by his resurrection and ascension into heaven.

Once the Holy Ghost had been sent to the apostles, and once they had been established in their faith in him and sent out to the peoples, be bore the churches as his fruit.

The Efficacy of the Word

"His leaves will not fall off; this means that His Word will not be ineffectual; although 'all flesh is but grass, and human glory like the flower of grass; the grass is dried up and the flower is fallen; yet the Word of the Lord abides forever' (Is 40:6-8). 'And whatever He does will prosper,' namely, whatever THE tree ear, its fruits and leaves, deeds and words.

All Flesh

As part of our study, an important point is to be made. While 'all flesh' is but grass, this is all SINFUL human flesh, it does not, and can never, refer to the perfect flesh of the New Adam, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Normal sinful human flesh cannot save, ONLY the flesh of Our Savior can accomplish that.

Gay Challenge Rising?

Rising in Power?

Although the practice of homosexuality is formally 'bound' by the Church as forbidden, by Christianity since the beginning, and by Holy Scripture, since the October Synod on the Family we have been made aware of some sort of 'power' which has been granted to the 'gay movement'.

Although Pope BXVI was presented with an investigation into the 'gay lobby' which has been secretly influential in the Church, and this report was passed on to Francis, we can see that, not only has nothing been done to purge the church, but that for some reason, Gay 'Marriage' was added to the Synod documents on A PARITY with natural sacramental marriage.

Pressure is Rising

The perversion of morality in the church is something 'man-made' and it begs the question- is religion created by human beings, and therefore the morality of the churches can also be dictated by agendas of human beings, or is human morality decided by God, and made real and active in the world through God's church?

Clearly there are many that hold the view that morality is a human construct and can be whatever the people demand. And while that is NOT the Catholic view of morality OR of the Church, that view has risen in influence and power to the point that even Catholic schools are teaching this to our children.

We are seeing gay masses in church, gay education, and we are seeing lawsuits and punishments around the world for the people's refusal to accept that view.

Evidently now, a further challenge has been declared, being brought to Francis himself.

The Ash Wednesday Challenge

"For the record, in Saint Peter’s Square on Ash Wednesday, February 18, a group of Catholic homosexuals from the United States will join Jeannine Gramick, the Notre Dame sister who together with her countryman Robert Nugent, a Salvatorian religious, was the object of a 1999 notification from the congregation for the doctrine of the faith - of which Joseph Ratzinger was cardinal prefect at the time - that prohibited both from carrying out “any pastoral work involving homosexual persons,” since the “errors and ambiguities” in their statements and activities concerning the teaching of the Catholic Church in this matter are “not consistent with a Christian attitude of true respect and compassion” for those persons"

Will there be a Schism?

The question for catholics must be- in the upcoming Synod, will the prelates approve the agenda of the homosexual lobby?

Will this be acceptable to you, your catholicism, your faith?

Many of us are beginning to feel that the imposition of the homosexual agenda will drive a schism, a parting, a huge division in the Church.

It is especially worrying when we consider the message of Holy Mary in the approved apparitions in Akita Japan:

The third message on October 13, 1973, the actual anniversary of the final visions and miracle of Fatima is as follows: "As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son. Each day, recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests. The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, and bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their Confreres. The Church and altars will be vandalized. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.
"The demon will rage especially against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will no longer be pardon for them."

Is it possible that Our Lord will WITHDRAW THE GRACE OF ABSOLUTION if the prelates in the Church take this direction?

Ps 1:2 Holy Spirit, Slave or Free? Augustine

In or Under the Law?

Psalm 1:2 says:

But his will is IN the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night.

The act of 'governance' begins inside each individual soul, and since Augustine identifies the blessed man with Jesus, and the psalms teach us about him, then consider Augustine's exposition:

As the apostle says, The law is not IMPOSED on a righteous person (1 Tim 1:9);

but it is one thing to be IN the law,

something else entirely to be UNDER the law.

Whoever is IN the law acts according to the law; whoever is UNDER the law is acted UPON according to the law.

The former, therefore, is free, the latter a slave.

What is more, the law which is written and imposed on the one enslaved is one thing;

whereas the law which is discerned with the mind by the one who does not NEED the law is another.

He will reflect (meditate) day and night;

This can be understood as "without ceasing,"

or else, "by day" means in JOYFULNESS,

"by night" in tribulations.

For it is said: Abraham saw my day and rejoiced (Jn 8:56);

and of tribulation it is said, "Even into the night my inward parts rebuked me" (Ps 15(16):7).

There is a lot to think about in this exposition by St. Augustine. What, according to Jesus Himself IS the law? How did this 'Blessed Man' identified in the Psalms approach these things, and what does it mean to US now?

The Law According to Jesus

One really does need to choose one way or another way, for the gift of the Holy Spirit is necessary to even be 'in' the law, and therefore not judged by the failure to walk in "the way" opened to us by Christ.

Why? First of all because without that path, hell says to us 'Born in sin? Come on in!" Our end without it is necessarily hell.

Secondly, because understanding the law that saves us isn't written in 'law books'. Our Lord gives us the law:

Matt 22:36-40 Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law? Jesus said to him: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. And the second is like to this: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments dependeth the whole law and the prophets.

Divine Will IS the Law

Jesus, the Blessed One, meditated upon the law of God day and night. The Divine Will was Our Lord's very food:

John 4:34 Jesus saith to them: My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, that I may perfect his work.

The Divine Will is the very reason He came:

John 6:38 Because I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me.

And it is by this Divine Will, and the law that it is that each soul will be judged:

John 5:30 I cannot of myself do any thing. As I hear, so I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.

Day and Night

The day and night of joy and tribulation was the very experience of Our Lord while here on this earth:

Hebrews 12:2 Looking on Jesus, the AUTHOR and FINISHER of faith, who having joy set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and now sitteth on the right hand of the throne of God.

On the other hand, there is US; the sinners, the ungodly, and we are warned of tribulations to come. We are also warned of the 'GREAT TRIBULATION' which will be the lot of humanity, just before the man of llawlessness, the man of sin, arrives.

Confession

Augustine identifies tribulations as the rebuking our inner parts give us, which we now refer to as our conscience. Some of us experience this very strongly, at night, as part of what is called 'the midlife crisis', the blame, shame and regret of a life lived without God, and may well form the proper examination of conscience that we can take to the sacrament of confession.

In our day, with the promises of a Great Tribulation, the possibility exists of a global, world-wide experience of conscience, where the entire human race will have their lives and actions measured against the Law of God and experience the promptings of the Holy Spirit showing us how God sees us.

A Third Way

There IS a third way, not merely being sinners, nor being holy (the just), but in our times we are seeing an incredible rise in lawlessness. Our governments and those with power ignore ALL laws, feel above all laws, are not held to laws in the same way as the 'mere population' is. Whereas they can steal billions from countries and retirees, if a person is caught stealing a small sum of money that person goes to prison for extended periods. However the laws against theft no longer subject those in official seats of power. No doubt you can see examples of this in your own life, your own country.

This lawlessness is evil- utterly WITHOUT God, not as mere sinners are.

2 Thes 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God.

These issues are addressed later by Augustine, and they are very important distinctions.

How will we be governed? On a personal level- our own heart and soul; in our families, how we raise and teach our children; in our communities and by our leaders?

St. Augustine makes a very strong case for our salvation, understanding that the psalms, foretelling Jesus, create a radical spiritual way.

The Holy Spirit Cometh?

As By Fire

Christians have been inundated by prophets, messages, prophecies, not to mention those that seem to be coming to pass right here in our own Holy Scriptures. As we study St. Augustine and his discussions, teachings, explanations on the psalms, we will shortly discover that the Holy Spirit, so very important to this great saint, is the means of 'purification by fire.'

Purification Cometh?

If there were ever a time when it was clear that all flesh, human AND animal, could be totally destroyed, it would be THEN that God would certainly act. As Jesus told us:

Matthew 24:22 And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.

We are on the verge of a global nuclear conflagration, WW3, but also every day we are seeing the decimation of animal populations around the world, with birds, fish, dolphins and all manner of other creatures dying in vast number, in a way we have never seen in our lifetime.

Are those denizens of the animal kingdom not flesh too?

These are shocking, horrible sights for everyone, not only Catholics or those who embrace the animal kingdom or what passes for 'ecology' these days.

For the ungodly, about which St. Augustine has so much to say, the fire of the Holy Spirit is NOT the benefit that it is for the godly. For us, the Holy Spirit is much to be desired, an annointing and a blessing beyond any earthly good, and a sure sign of our salvation. However, as St. Augustine has it, through the apostles and scripture, the Holy Spirit accomplishes much in the work of saving all creation:

Hebrews 10:27 But a certain dreadful expectation of judgment, and the rage of a fire which shall consume the adversaries.

So, more than at any other time in history, especially with the maniacal drive to nuclear war we are observing in our fearless leaders, now is a great time to be praying, along with this great and marvelous saint, for the purification of the Holy Spirit:

Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy. Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy. Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy. Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy. Amen

Now is a great time to live in expectation of the Holy Spirit. Are you a welcoming vessel? I hope I am!

Governance

During the Pontificate of John Paul II, the establishment of the EU, and their refusal to even mention God, let alone Europe's profound Christian history, in their Constitution, was a worrying development. JPII complained and warned against such a development, but there it was, and there it stayed, as it were, written in stone. Not only was this new Constitution ungodly, it KNEW it was ungodly and WANTED it that way.

While the Psalms are profoundly spiritual, they are also profoundly challenging, especially in our 'post-modern' age, we don't read the psalms in the same way the early Christians did, and more than that, from the very first verse of the Psalms arise issues that are shaking, even shocking to modern thought.

Diving head first into the psalms, we are surprised to discover that the first topic of discussion is GOVERNING, one of the greatest difficulties humanity has, world-wide, and the assumptions made by this very great saint are those that have been widely rejected in a global apostasy.

Given that the Christian (as well as Israeli) world had suffered horrendously under many a dictator, governed by pride and willing violence, it can't be much of a surprise that to be governed by God or by the wicked would be a great concern.

Therefore, let's work it....

Blessed the Man

...who has not gone astray in the council of the ungodly, has not stood in the way of sinners, nor has sat in the seat of pestilence.

St Augustine has it that this statement, of the blessed man, should be understood as being Jesus Christ, the God-Man. (A point which has much fuller, very beautiful treatment by Maria Valtorta Poem of the Man God) Jesus did not go astray in wicked (ungodly) councils as did Adam, the earthly man, who 'conspired with his wife that was already beguiled by the serpent' to take the wicked counsel of disregarding God's Commandments.

By Augustine's mentioning the 'conspiracy' of Adam and Eve in a kind of council/counsel, we wonder- can our first parents be considered 'ungodly,' 'evil,' or mere 'sinners'? Was humanity under their council of governance until their deaths? Can it be possible that, after such a horrifying rejection of the Creator, that anyone would consider their counsel worth hearing? Augustine does not at this time treat those questions, but given the clearly wicked governing of our times, it is certainly a relevant question now- who do we actually listen to? Who's 'counsels' are worthy to be obeyed?

In fact, in this time of the Great Apostasy, where people not only know nothing about their Creator, but don't even care that they don't know; is it even relevant to modern man that there is another way opened and available?

Stood in the Way

Jesus certainly came in the same way all sinners do, by being born to a woman, but Augustine explains that

'stood in the way of sinners' means that Christ did not STAND in their way, meaning, that even though he was born as we are, the path of sinners is not the one that Jesus stood in, for the reason that worldly allurements held no interest to Our Savior.

Perhaps it is the allurements, seductions, fantasies of this world that not only seduced and took down Adam and Eve, but keep US from pursuing that one path that is blessed by God. As economies and other difficulties progress, it is more and more of a driven path to attain any of those goods, housing, financial security, a comfortable life, than it has been for a very long time.

As none of those things 'hooked' Jesus into straying onto the same path as the rest of us take automatically, he was not also hooked into the councils of -or governance by- the ungodly, nor their counsels, advise, agendas and laws that are imposed upon the rest of us, who are subjected to the governance established BY SOMEONE, in one way or another in this entire wide world.

Seat of Pestilence

Augustine has it that pride is the 'Seat of Pestilence.' He says:

Such pride is rightly understood as the 'seat of pestilence' because there is hardly anyone who is free of the love of WIELDING POWER, or does not long for HUMAN GLORY. For a pestilence is a disease which has spread widely and OVERWHELMS ALL OR NEARLY ALL.

Particularly in this last century, we have seen how wicked governance can overwhelm the world, costing vast numbers of lives. It can be said that the default position of governing is that of dictatorship, that if a means and method of holding people in power genuinely accountable is not found and enforced, then no matter what humanity does, sooner or later the truly wicked will rise, and their interests are far different from the well-being of their populations.

Cancerous Doctrine

For us, coming off a century devoted to 2 World Wars and the wholesale slaughter of hundreds of millions, and facing the near and very present danger of WW3, the greater threat, according to Augustine, was the pestilence of cancerous doctrines.

Augustine says:

Alternatively, the seat of pestilence might more appropriately be understood as harmful doctrine, the dissemination that creeps like a cancer.

(2 Tim 2:17 And their speech spreadeth like a canker)

Given that Augustine lived in the fifth century, at that time he recognized harmful, cancerous doctrine, but the disease was young. In our time, we are experiencing the full-blown final stage of the cancer in thinking and acting that has taken over the entire world, doctrines, calumnies and outright deceptions, lies and seductions, which have meant wholesale acceptance of Marxism and Fascism by the most powerful among us.

Yes, not only are the wickedly prideful fully 'seated' or established, with greater technological powers than the world has ever seen, they are also pickled in the harmful doctrines that can be used to justify mass slaughter, global control, and a level of violence never possible before.

It is certainly the business of Christians everywhere to discover these harmful doctrines, and wherever possible, to purge them from our own thinking. Starting with ourselves, we may actually make a difference.

Walking, Sitting, Standing

These words are not mere statements of regular motion to St. Augustine.

...The order of the words "gone astray," "stood," "sat," should be examined closely, for Adam "went astray" when he drew back from God, he "stood" when he was seduced by sin, he "sat" when, once ESTABLISHED in his pride, he could not return, unless set free by Him who neither walked in the council of the ungodly, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of pestilence.

It is a basic premise of Christianity that there was a 'fall' which consigned humanity to separation from God, that Adam and Eve 'took a walk' away from the path of holiness in God, and therefore, all of us, their children, are also separated.

The question for today is, who actually BELIEVES this most basic of teachings? Do you?

Studying the Psalms with St. Augustine

(He was ordained in the year 391, he used the Latin version.)

One Lord, One Faith and One Baptism

St. Augustine lived in a time when the Church certainly was ONE, not divided by
separations that kept Christians at each other's throats, that brought the
ridicule and mockery of Christianity mainstream, with calumnies, propaganda,
outright lies, and hatred by the 'world.'

So, reading St. Augustine, and accepting his guidance, one is sure that you ARE
following the way of Christ, the beliefs of all Christians, a sure path.

Treasured by All of God's Children

In monasteries devoted to God, to life in God, to copying and transmitting
Holy Scripture for the churches and the world, certain practices regarding this
special prayer book, the Psalms, occurred. While most manuscripts were mostly
written, special illuminations or paintings were put in special places.

In illuminated manuscripts, the psalms which began with 'Beatus Vir' had
an entire page illuminated, painted, as distinguishing these as special
for measuring our own holiness and that of our world, to that commanded by God,
measuring our blessings or the opposite, being cursed. Therefore, these are
important psalms for the spiritual life, for forming us, giving us discernment,
turning our hearts to what is good and holy.

Psalm 1 is one of these.

It is also a 'psalm of wisdom.'

And wisdom consists in this:

Deuteronomy 11:26-28 "Behold I set forth in your sight this day
a blessing and a curse: A blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord
your God, which I command you this day: A curse, if you obey not the
commandments of the Lord your God, but revolt from the way which now I
show you, and walk after strange gods which you know not.

Deuteronomy 30:19 "I call heaven and earth to witness this day, that I have
set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Choose therefore life,
that both thou and thy seed may live."

There are TWO ways. One is the blessed way. Any other is the cursed way.

Study the Psalms With Us

The book of psalms, also called 'The Psalter' has been the mainstay of all of God's people's prayers, both official, in Church worship, and private, as personal prayer. The book of Psalms is known as the hinge of scripture, explaining the Old Testament and elaborating on the New Testament.

Every Christian benefits from a study of the psalms! Not only do we get a deeper spiritual formation by studying them, when it is difficult or impossible to pray, we have ready help in the psalter.

Jesus Christ himself is known to pray the psalms, and in Him, they attain a deeper meaning, a greater hope, a more profound love. St. Augustine identifies the voices in them, some of them as Christ speaking in His voice, but others where Our Lord speaks for us. It is the 'wonderful bargain' which is a complete participation of Our Savior in the life and existence of humanity, his unreserved sharing in our weaknesses, which makes it possible for humanity to have a share in the immortal life of God.

St Augustine wrote the book 'Confessions' and in there, he discussed how his own conversion, of his mind and of his will, his affections, feelings and inner attitudes, to the psalms. They were incredibly important in his personal transformation, and they brought him inner spiritual healing, healed his entire life. He also referred, in other places, to the psalms being the mirror and remedy of a soul. Without a familiarity with the psalms, one is unlikely to have a full understanding of all that St. Augustine wrote for our benefit.

In this modern time of great confusion, multiple denominations, great stresses in Christianity and in the Church, it is wise to return to the forefathers, the early Christians, and seek what they had to say. One very important person in the history of Christianity is St Augustine, who was born in the year 354, ordained as a bishop in 391, and died in 430. He is a wonderful resource for those genuinely seeking the Will of God, the Truth of God, as it has always been understood by Christians everywhere and at all times.

St. Augustine insisted that sayings of the Old Testament must now be considered by Christians in a Christian way, and worked all his life to enable us to do just that. Christ's very resurrection, His being THE Messiah, the unique purpose and destiny of Jesus Christ, authorized the Holy Church to examine the Old Testaments, and the Psalms, according to Christianity. There is no additional messiah, there is ONLY ONE, Jesus, and Jesus' authority given to the Church IS the only true authority. Therefore everything must be examined in that light.

Thanks to Sr. Boulding's gorgeous work of translation, Expositions of the Psalms 1-32 (III/15) (Works of Saint Augustine), St. Augustine's teachings of the psalms are available to, and used by, Christians in their studies. While that translation was a vast undertaking, as we teach, study and pray the psalms, the assistance of this great saint, and that wonderful sister, is brought into our lives, our prayers, and our community.

St. Augustine is an enormous help in clearing up and clarifying Christianity so that, perhaps, we may eventually fulfill Jesus' only known direct prayer of unity in John 17, a prayer answer which is greatly needed today in this wicked world. John 17:21 "That they all may be one, as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee; that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me."

Recently there has been a rise in interest in 'zombies', even to the point of our government doing 'emergency training' against actors dressed as the living dead. As Catholics, we not only consider the horror physically, but we by 'spiritual sight' also look at the soul.

Dr. Frankenstein, the Mad Scientist

We are in an unfortunate time where Dr Frankenstein is no longer just a terrible story. In a locution, reportedly given by Jesus, he said,

"My greatest nemesis is science, even more so than the media. The science that alters life, the science which creates a counterfeit heaven, the science that toils with the womb and genes, the science that has filled the air with the power of the enemy, the science which creates chemical witchcraft and fouls the earth, the science which seeks to create life but cannot in actuality even sustain it, the science which has denied God.

"This will fall, and all of its creations with it.

Real Time Frankenstein Zombie

All of these wicked scientific experiments are done in the dark, behind closed doors, outside of the consciousness of humanity. Take a look at one of the horrors perpetrated by scientists without morals, without God, without compassion, not because they should but because they CAN.

Then, consider well who among us NEED prayers.

Three Ways to Forgive the Unforgivable

"AS WE FORGIVE..."

can be the most difficult thing for Catholics to pray. "How can I forgive this!" especially in cases where the problem goes on and on for years without stopping, is a dreadful cross to bear. With the incredible crimes being committed every day, some things, such as cold-blooded murder of one of our children, can be impossible to forgive. Yet we know that for us to RECEIVE forgiveness in its full promised measure, it is dependent on the forgiveness we also show to our fellow man. This can be frightening to our own souls and a constant subject of confession, yet a better understanding of the types of forgiveness may be the key.

Somehow our hearts and souls seek an ERASURE of the event, an undoing of the damage that would grant us peace, return our lives to the trajectory they WERE on, return us to a wholeness that has since been lost. All of these are unrealistic, but for we Catholics, these events are places and areas in our hearts and souls where the grace of Christ can enter. Our blessed Lord can use these things for the greater good, if we can somehow understand what is needed of us, and the way to forgive that we can BELIEVE in.

THREE TYPES OF FORGIVENESS

First: Exoneration

Exoneration: This type of forgiveness is what we usually believe is required of us by God, to receive the same measure of forgiveness that we require. We WANT comoplete exoneration from God, believing that it is needed for entry into heaven.

Unfortunately, exoneration is something that we ourselves will NEVER receive because, being sinners as the very element of our being, we have COMMITTED sin, we are GUILTY of our sins, and therefore there will be no exoneration.

Exoneration is proving the innocence of someone accused of a crime, or in America, being unable to prove in a court of law that this person committed the crime. Through evidence, a person may prove they did NOT do the crime and are therefore exonerated, or the accuser cannot provide sufficient evidence to prove they did commit that crime, and therefore again, they are exonerated.

On a spiritual level, Our Lord KNOWS if we commit sin, and He knows sins committed against us. There is no 'defense' for any of us in the sight of Truth Himself. We cannot, and can never be, exonerated.

If we cannot exonerate someone who has hurt us, there is no sin in that, and a failure to exonerate them does not mean you have not forgiven. In such cases, where you have direct knowledge of being injured by someone, exoneration is not possible.

If, however, someone IS exonerated, CAN prove they are NOT guilty of a crime, then it is a sin to hold it against them further.

Far and away most actions that we must forgive are unable to be exonerated in the normal manner. It requires a SPECIAL Divine grace and has little to do with evidence and proof. Instead we look for evidence of mitigation, things they couldn't help, blindness, error, bad judgment and based upon THAT evidence do as Jesus did:

Luke 23:34 Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do"

Short of that, the next method is the most likely manner in which we CAN forgive.

Second: Forbearance

The sin itself cannot be 'erased'- not in your lifetime. Therefore, the Catholic must follow, as a matter of love AND JUSTICE, the path of Our Lord and exercise FORBEARANCE.

Romans 3:26 Through the forbearance of God, for the shewing of his justice in this time; that he himself may be just, and the justifier of him, who is of the faith of Jesus Christ.

Full Definition of FORBEARANCE

1 a refraining from the enforcement of something (as a debt, right, or obligation) that is due
2 the act of forbearing : patience
3 the quality of being forbearing : leniency

To put this another way, we have to live with the damage and then offer that damage, and the wounds of our heart, to Our Lord Jesus. This is a mirror of what Jesus did, in patience and love he offered the incredible sufferings we put him through to God Father, and in this way he works the Justice of God.

My grandmother once told me 'never pray for patience because you'll EARN it.' But in fact it is part of our calling to be patient, for the reason that we are ALL sinners, and loving the sinner while hating the sin REQUIRES patience.

This is especially true with chronic sins. Someone who gambles away every paycheck, someone who continually back-stabs, the character flaws that are the same subjects of our own repeated confessions. In order to live a life with someone and their flaws, forbearance is necessary and REQUIRED to keep marriages alive, families together, communities operating as they should. While you may be the only Catholic in your family, and you may be the only one exercising forbearance with the sinfulness of others in your family, indeed you are the one with the grace and help of the sacraments to do so. It will be your continual offering, along with the forbearance of Christ.

Even if separation is needed, for example, spousal or child abuse, one must forbear the continued effects of that sin and offer them up continually to the Lord.

The Cross and the Beatitudes: Lessons on Love and Forgiveness

Third: Release

The third form of forgiveness is release. A wise man once told me 'never loan out more than you can afford to lose.' Especially in the economy of the world since the year 2000, it is increasingly difficult for people to pay back debts, fulfill financial promises, or even to do the types of things that were much easier prior to the turn of the millennium. Whether it is tangible goods, money or some other indebtedness, the forgiveness of release allows you the opportunity to turn the value of those losses over to Jesus.

A useful example of this forgiveness of release is Matthew Ch 18, quoted here in its final part

[31] Now his fellow servants seeing what was done, were very much grieved, and they came and told their lord all that was done. [32] Then his lord called him; and said to him: Thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all the debt, because thou besoughtest me: [33] Shouldst not thou then have had compassion also on thy fellow servant, even as I had compassion on thee? [34] And his lord being angry, delivered him to the torturers until he paid all the debt. [35] So also shall my heavenly Father do to you, if you forgive not every one his brother from your hearts.

Had the servant, who owed SO MUCH to the King, shared his joy at the release of the debt with his own debtors, it could eventually have turned into an occasion of salvation for all.

Can we consider property and money sins as mere debts, as 'bills paid' or as losses in a catastrophe that can never be recovered- can we 'write it off' and balance out the books in a holy manner? Can they be considered as write-offs, similar to tax deductions, as the cost of doing 'business' in this world?

Forgiving Even When It Hurts

When we meet our Maker, as we all must, it is beneficial to have something, and someone, in our hands to present to Him. Our hands should have some good works in them, done for the sake of Our Lord and the souls he loves. Forgiving even when it hurts puts the goodness of Our Lord's Mercy right back into his hands. Try and see if that unforgivable can be viewed in any of these three ways. Perhaps it can help you make it a part of your spiritual life.

Ebola Virus and “Tears of blood”... update...

In Medjugorje, a pilgrim visiting the apparition site from Europe, Italy, received 'tears of blood'. Considering the signs given by Our Lady over the years, it is very important to consider WHAT they 'signify'.

This 'Tears of Blood sign comes right at the IMMEDIATE same time that an European politician, Jean-Marie Le Pen, tells the world that the problem of immigration and overpopulation would be solved by use of the Ebola Virus. This disease, and those closely related, are the ONLY diseases from which those afflicted have bleeding from all orifices.

The deadly Ebola virus could solve France's immigration problems "in three months", Jean-Marie Le Pen, founder and honorary president of France's far-Right Front National, has said in remarks which have shocked the country's political establishment.
Speaking on Tuesday night in Marseille shortly before a joint rally with Marine Le Pen, his daughter and current party leader, Mr Le Pen, 85, said: "There is a demographic explosion in the world and a risk of submersion. A replacement of (the national population) is under way."
However, he added: "Monsieur Ebola can solve the problem in three months."

Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth that which is evil. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

THIS is how the 'experts' see it:

But despite being extremely virulent the disease is containable because it kills its victims faster than it can spread to new ones.

Of course, in our day and age, with travel that can take people through massive crowds and into different continents in a matter of hours, thinking that it could be contained faster than it might spread is arrogance on the part of 'experts'- in the extreme.

As to the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Medjugorje, along with other miracles, this seems to be a singular event.

It was clearly a mystical sign of some type:

Zarko received a telephone call from Udovico informing him that something unusual was happening and that he had started to bleed from his nose, eyes, mouth and ears. He said he had been examined by doctors and told that he was completely healthy, physically and mentally.

It was a sign from Our Lady, as she has done many times before, of very serious potential dangers.

Isaias (Isaiah) 5:20 Woe to you that call evil good, and good evil: that put darkness for light, and light for darkness: that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.

What could POSSIBLY go wrong when our leaders in government think of such a highly virulent, deadly and DEVASTATING disease could be the solution to ANY problem!

Go ahead and like so many others, think of this as a pious and sugar-coated sign from an over-indulgent mother. OR take a lesson from Our Lady of Kibeho and UNDERSTAND that she is TRYING TO WARN HER CHILDREN. Our Lady was ignored at Fatima, and not only did we therefore get WW2, we are also on the brink of WW3 as SHE TOLD US. In Rwanda, YEARS of great efforts to convert the people were ignored and ended with the malevolent slaughter of nearly a million people in just ten weeks.

The WICKEDNESS of the leaders of Europe beggars the imagination. From legalizing and approving euthanasia even for children, for pushing and promoting "post-birth abortion', making ephibophelia and even pedophilia LEGAL, malevolently slaughtering their citizens with viruses such as Ebola cannot be a surprise. What IS a surprise is that Europeans not only justify these things, not only that they continue to cooperate with such governance, but that the home of revolutions doesn't see what is coming down the pike at them and dragging out the guillotines.

The Second Seraph of the Our Father

This the project of the Roman Catholic and Power of the Rosary facebook groups. We are working to develop the relationships with our angels, and with their help, deepen the grace of our prayers and worship.

The seven Seraphs are the angels 'face to face' with God. The grace and help needed below in the hierarchy of creation, all the way down to us, comes first through these magnificent angels of fire.

"For as the Truth counsels men to seek fellowship with the holy angels, in like manner, impiety turns men aside to the fellowship of the wicked angels, for whose associates everlasting fire is prepared, as the eternal kingdom is prepared for the associates of the holy angels." St. Augustine, Letter to Deo Gratias.

Therefore, by developing an intimate relationship with the angels, and coming to understand their functions and how they DO help us, coming to cooperate with their work, protects us from the loss of God.

Separating the True Faith from the Heresies

"Thy Kingdom Come" is the second 'petition' that is so important, so PROFOUNDLY important, of an aspect of the Thrice Holy Trinity, that it has its own Seraph.

The Second Seraph of the Our Father, then is the Angel of Proclamation. Proclamation of the Kingdom of God. This angel's function is the teaching of the Word of God (Jesus) and the word of God (scripture) for the purpose of developing the Kingdom of Heaven.

Since God is ONE God, there is and can only be, ONE Kingdom. This Seraph is ENTIRELY concerned with that Kingdom, how it is built, who is going to populate it, and the knowledge of it among mankind.

Deviations of the genuine teaching of this Kingdom, the destination of our Eternal Souls, are heresies. The Seraph of Proclamation assists the annointed Priests and Bishops of the Church, to hold to the sacred knowledge, doctrines, and teachings, in order to invite souls to the one and only Kingdom, and to teach what we need to know and do to arrive there.

Luke 12:31 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his justice, and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:33 Seek ye therefore first the kingdom of God, and his justice, and all these things shall be added unto you.

Proclaiming the Kingdom of God

There IS A KINGDOM of the Living God. Creation itself generated that Kingdom. How did God create? He SPOKE it. God's WORD created it. The first chapter of Genesis demonstrates it repeatedly. 1:3 And God SAID: Be light made. And light was made. This WORD goes on and on through the entire creation account, until all of creation according to God's Will was established.

This understanding of the Word is SO TRUE that if God SAID to you 'you're a dog' you would be thinking 'no I'm not' but suddenly discover that the words coming out of your mouth are 'bark bark bark' because the VERY ACT OF GOD'S SPEAKING BRINGS IT ABOUT. If God SAYS you are a dog, you ARE a dog.

Therefore, it is THIS Word of God that Catholics worship and adore. It is the WORD that was made flesh. It is the WORD that became Emmanuel, 'God with us'. When Jesus speaks, in the New Testament, it has an ETERNAL impact, a TRUE power, and to ignore, dismiss or reason what He said away is to denounce, or to demean, the power and presence of God.

2 Timothy 3:5 Having an appearance indeed of godliness, but denying the power thereof.

Like the sacraments, that BRING ABOUT what they promise, God's Word, His POWERFUL WORD, brings about that which He proclaims.

Jesus as the Word of God

The First Chapter of John makes it very clear WHO Jesus ACTUALLY IS, in time and in eternity

[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him: and without him was made nothing that was made. [4] In him was life, and the life was the light of men. [5] And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

The Heresy of Bible Only

This Seraph protects us from the enormous heresy of sola scriptura or bible only. The Holy Scriptures are the word of God, no doubt about it, but they are NOT THE WORD of God.

John 5:39 Search the scriptures, for you think in them to have life everlasting; and the same are they that give testimony of me.

The Holy Scriptures are a testimony TO Jesus. They do not, and never can, supersede what the true Word of God says. Because HE says it, it IS BROUGHT ABOUT ALREADY, IN TIME AND IN ETERNITY.

He Has Spoken Through the Prophets

It is the Holy Angels that assist those chosen as prophets to warn and guide the people of God. It is the Holy Seraph of the Proclamation that guides our Priests and Prelates in the teaching and preaching of the Word of God. It is this Holy Angel that inspires our contemplation of the knowledge of God. It is this Holy Seraph that illuminates our minds and enlightens us.

While we may not be Priests who proclaim the Word and word of God, cooperating with this Holy Angel will assist with our own understanding, our wisdom, our reading of the Holy Scripture, our contemplation of all that is of God, and assists us with teaching those around us, such as our children or others who have it in their heart to seek God.

The Failure of Scripture Alone- The Two Way Street

Scripture, in itself, brings about no 'Fear of God' in that it is a mere book, a benign and harmless thing that has wonderful and good words to say. Putting the word of God BEFORE the Word of God, however, brings apostasy, death and ruin. It is not only what God creates by His Speaking, or what is put into Holy Scripture, but ALSO the very words we OURSELVES speak. Abusing, twisting and misusing even the bible can bring us, and HAS brought us, to the Great Apostasy and its effects.

This is the reason the word of God comes early in the Holy Mass. Our Holy priests 'preach the Word' to teach the hearers, and the Word of God is next brought to us, in person, in the Holy Eucharist.

We know there are 7 Seraphic Angels who are face to face with God. Each are included in the 7 invocations of the Our Father which are perfect, an eternal representation of that which is in heaven.

Apocalypse (Revelation) 3:1 And to the angel of the church of Sardis, write: These things saith he, that hath the seven spirits of God, and the seven stars: I know thy works, that thou hast the name of being alive: and thou art dead.

The first Seraphic statement is

Hallowed Be Thy Name.

This is the function of the first Seraph, the Angel of Sanctification.

Hallowing, or adoring, the Holy Name of God can only bring holiness and sanctity to us. While we pray 'hallowed be Thy Name' how much time do we ACTUALLY spend adoring the Divine Name every day???

Because of the language, it is all too easy for us to request that God's Holy Name be hallowed.... but by others. We request it and want to see that around the world, but are we spending any time doing so ourselves??? We are definitely part of the human race that we want to be doing it.

We know that Our Lord's Name is blasphemed, used as a curse, mocked, misrepresented, abused, by so many people! Therefore the time we spend praising His Holy Name is of greater and greater importance.

The Holy Seraphs spend their time singing to God the 'Holy Holy Holy' because each time they do, they increase their own holiness. The Seraph of the Holy Name offers eternal and continuous praise to the Holy Name, and through that Angel, great graces are sent upon the souls who do so.

Apocalypse (Revelation) 4:8 And the four living creatures had each of them six wings; and round about and within they are full of eyes. And they rested not day and night, saying: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and who is, and who is to come.

Apocalypse (Revelation) 5:6 And I saw: and behold in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the ancients, a Lamb standing as it were slain, having seven horns and seven eyes: which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.

What is the fruit of Hallowing the Holy Name?

We will receive, as a trophy and a sign of conquering, our OWN precious name given BY GOD TO US!

Apocalypse (Revelation) 2:17 He, that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches: To him that overcometh, I will give the hidden manna, and will give him a white counter, and in the counter, a new name written, which no man knoweth, but he that receiveth it.

How important is this Sanctification by Hallowing God's Name?

Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that shall take the name of the Lord his God in vain.

Deuteronomy 5:11 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for he shall not be unpunished that taketh his name upon a vain thing.

Especially given our reliance on God, and our invocations to Him that His Name be Hallowed, we cannot be found among those that ignore or abandon His Name, and we certainly can never be found among those who abuse it.

To Increase the Grace of Our Rosaries, Pray with this Holy Seraph of Sanctification!

There are many ways to do this. Always unite your prayers with the Angels of Sanctification when you begin your rosary. Doing these things demonstrates our love, reverence and fear to God. It cleanses the air of wicked spirits. It helps to atone for our past sins against God's Holy Name and for those wicked sins humanity is committing against it in ever increasing numbers and methods. Finally, it increases our own holiness.

By 250 A.D. Christian Prayer to Mary was widespread, rising to the level of liturgical prayer. In this beautiful Coptic papyrus, dated circa 250 A.D., is inscribed the following prayer:

Mary, Genetrix

Being descended from the Jews requires a Jewish mother, which of course Mary was. As Jesus began His Church, focused and based on the sacrifice of His flesh and blood, the fact that Mary was THE human provider of that Holy flesh and blood means that Christian’s relationship to the Eucharist is very much about the heritage of Mary.

In John chapter 6 Jesus makes it very clear. “My flesh is true food, my blood is true drink… unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you have NO LIFE in you.” Therefore, as taught by Our Lord Himself, our true life in Christ comes from union with Him in the Eucharist.

Generational

The term genetrix as applied to Blessed Mary is usually translated ‘mother’ which is a true term, but one that has been ignored, debased and discarded by many Christians. However, it is important to note that the word also means ‘ancestress’, Mary is the GENERATIONAL ANCESTOR of everyone who claims to be Christian and seeks out the Body and Blood of her Son Jesus Christ. It is through participating in the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ that one is adopted into the family of God, and for those, Mary is OUR mother in a very tangible and REAL way.

Matthew 5:45 That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good, and bad, and raineth upon the just and the unjust.

Mary Theotokos

For the ONLY time in history, Mary was chosen by God to become His real and true mother on earth. Just as the Holy Ghost hovered over creation, just as the Shekinah glory (Jesus) descended on the Ark of the (first) Covenant, so too he hovered over the Blessed and chosen Virgin so that He could be incarnated as a MAN. Therefore Mary became known as Theotokos, God-bearer, just as the Ark of the Covenant had been, but in a HUMAN incarnation.

As we see from this ancient and precious text, from the earliest Christian Church Mary was beloved by all Christians for her unique vocation, and along with the Holy Bread, bears God Himself to us wherever she goes.

Protestant criticism of the dogma at Ephesus 451 as an invention of a power-grabbing power hungry Church is clearly proven false by this fragment. Christian’s reverence for Mary is one of the earliest marks of Christ’s Church, widespread in understanding among the people of God, acknowledged and clarified in the early Church council. Christian prayer has included prayer to Mary since the earliest days.

Mother of the Eucharist

Christians receive their Holiness and life through the body and blood of Christ, what all true Christians call the Eucharist. It is the substance and doorway to the salvation of God, and being the true flesh and blood of Jesus, it is also therefore in a generational way the flesh and blood of Mary. Mary is the mother of the Eucharist as much as she is the mother of Jesus. Those who are consuming that precious life-giving gift from God are also, therefore, children of Mary, our mother in Christ.

Mary mothers us on our life of conversion and fullness in Christ, in our salvation. Christian prayer to Mary invokes her attention and assistance.

The Apostles recognized the need, like newborns, for disciples to grow into the fullness of their Christianity.

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the rational milk without guile, that thereby you may grow unto salvation.

Spiritual Childhood

Mothering by Mary assists us to learn to apply sanctity to all the flaws and sins of our spiritual childhood. Unformed children cannot address the responsible administration of the Word, which is the Justice of God. As Mary mothered Jesus, so all Christians are in need of her mothering to mature Christian lives.

Hebrews 5:13 For every one that is a partaker of milk, is unskillful in the word of justice: for he is a little child.

We must overcome our carnal, sinful nature before we are ready for the more important things of Christ. Responsiveness to the mothering of Holy Mary helps us to overcome our sinful nature, to ignore what Mary has to teach us leaves us immature. Until we do, we are not fit to handle the Word of God or guide the church in any way.

1 Corinthians 3:2 I gave you milk to drink, not meat; for you were not able as yet. But neither indeed are you now able; for you are yet carnal.

Woman of the Apocalypse

The Blessed Mother Mary gives birth to the purified Church in great tribulations.

Apocalypse (Revelation) 12:1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars, 2 And being with child, she cried travailing in birth, and was in pain to be delivered.

The earliest Christians understood Mary’s role during the apocalypse coming upon the world. This early and very beautiful prayer invokes her compassion on we, her children, during the tribulations befalling us all. Perhaps adding these prayers to Mary’s Holy Rosary we can join with the ancient supplications of the earliest saints and Christians!

An Holy Ark Filled with Precious Things

There is a precious Christian Ark in the Wilderness, known as St. Catherine”s of Sinai.

With the recent hideous , it seems that the Sinai monk”s premonition several years ago was an important intervention of heaven. That premonition gave rise to an incredibly important project of digitally recording all the ancient Christian manuscripts that had been stored at that monastery for centuries, even millenia, to guarantee their preservation no matter what else may happen.

It is impossible to overstate the importance of St. Catherine”s monastery, her relics, her manuscripts and her traditions.

The oldest and most complete bible was found there. Ancient icons, books and relics stored there, as a “Christian hoarder” who had 2000 years to collect cherished and precious things might be expected to have.

In this Ark are the ancient memories and writings of the sanctified from the earliest days of the Holy Church, when Christians were all of one accord, one heart, one Holy and Divine Love. The beautiful memories of the church are held there, as well as the sorrows of schism, persecution, martyrdoms.

It is an altogether priceless place, housing for THE burning bush, a sanctuary of prayer, of holy Wisdom, of being remade into children of the Living God. The manuscripts alone are an incredible walk through Christian spirituality and true Christian life in pursuit of God.

Belgium Passes Child Euthanasia Law

Without the Will of the People of Belgium, activists have passed legislation to euthanize sick children.

It is a dreadful performance for modern Belgium, which has now become the first country in the world to legislate euthanasia of children without any age limit. The Netherlands has supported euthanasia but not for children under 12 years of age. This law was passed after a very real, chronically unrepresentative legislative force in the parliaments that have been plaguing all of Western Europe.

In effect, this law did not meet any actual demand for euthanasia that might be demonstrated by the medical profession, not even for minors in pain and with disease; in fact most sick children are more attached to life than their elders. The children WANT to live! Overwhelmingly, this is what the doctors testified, as well as all those who work at the bedside of ill children. But the parliamentary consultants intentionally SET ASIDE all of these testimonies, accelerated the voting procedure, quickly passed it and got it placed before the royal throne for signature. We have learned that this law was NOT generally sought by those most concerned with the minors, their medical treatments or their overall care.

The law now permits the state and medical staff to kill a sick child whose sufferings are deemed -by someone- to be intolerable - this happens very rarely because medicine is now able to relieve nearly all suffering. If the child is not aware, is comatose or unconscious, the advice of his parents and doctors is required by this law.

Belgium's Child Euthanasia Law is Extremely Problematic

The conditions set by this law actually pose a series of problems that the legislature refused to even consider.

What happens, for example, if the parents disagree with each other?

What happens if the doctor disagrees with the parents?

What pressure will be exerted on children, even unconsciously, by parents who can not (or will not) bear the sight of their child's suffering?

What about the role of the doctor, his or her influence on the patient and his parents, and pressures that could themselves come from the hospital institution?

Euthanasia of children, by the mere fact that it is now a legal option, will become a sort of pressurized obligation: those who oppose killing the child will be seen to be 'responsible' for the suffering of the child. This, therefore, puts those who respect life, whether the child himself or his parents or doctors, under intolerable pressure.

Furthermore, and perhaps more importantly- what role does the state have in this? Can or will euthanasia be enforced from outside the family and medical staff, through the state bureaucracy? What compassion can the soul-less, heart-less state ACTUALLY have? What penalties or legal repercussions will exist if the state determines otherwise than the family or doctors?

Euthanasia Laws Have Even Deeper Issues

It was revealed that the actual process of euthanasia of adults, there are such relaxed controls that frequently the elderly are euthanized without their or their relatives consent or notification. There has been established a commission to evaluate the practice of euthanasia in Belgium and whose role is to ensure that standards are met. But the commission itself is composed of pro-euthanasia activists, and so their conclusions are biased from the start. Several very questionable incidents have been reported by the watchdog group "yellow bibs", but up to now it has proven to have been in vain. There has been no receptive outlet in the process to examine these worrisome incidents.

Euthanasia Laws and Catholics

One would have expected a strong and determined stance from the Church of Belgium. Bishop Leonard invited the Church to a day of fasting and prayer vigil in his diocese. However, his initiative has not been imitated by the other bishops of the country and, in general, the Church of Belgium is 'dead' to the issue of the sanctity of life.

All pro-lifer's hopes then turned to King Philip, hoping that, following the example of his uncle, King Baudouin, he would decide not to sign this law that allows the murder of innocent and sick children. Inexplicably, the pew Catholics in Belgium are very divided on this issue, it seems a majority of them felt that the king should not obstruct the parliamentary process.

Clearly the law was passed by a manipulative legislative device, yet even so the king could give a strong signal that this law is unacceptable and should never have become legal. The Royal House would thus be poised as the defender of all the children who will be euthanized under this law, protector of future generations of Belgians, THE representative of compassion for the unfortunate among the civilian population.

It would have been an opportunity for the Crown to support of all the parents, doctors and nursing staff who, as a matter of conscience, refuse to implement or enforce this law. His Royal Highness' own conscience would not reproach him for his failures whenever a sick child is to be 'legally' put to death in a hospital. Instead King Philip, surrounded by evil people, wicked politics, and being ill-advised, accepted and put his very own signature to this wicked law.
