The Latin Mass: A Journal of Catholic Culture is a magazine dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the traditional Latin Mass and traditional Catholic thought, practice and education. This apostolate hopes "to offer an antidote to the universal phenomenon of an accelerating secularism." The site's primary purpose is to provide information about the magazine and its conferences. However, there are also a few articles and links, though as far as we can tell, these have not been updated since 2002.

The Neocatechumenal Way in the United States

This is an unofficial site with information on the Neocatechumenal Way in the United States. This movement focuses on an itinerary that is lived in the parishes in small communities made up of people of different ages and social conditions, and has the ultimate goal of bringing the faithful gradually to Jesus Christ and to make them active members of the Church. In addition, the Neocatechumenal Way is an instrument for the Christian initiation of adults who are preparing to receive Baptism.

According to Agenzia Fides: The decree containing the definitive approval of the statutes of the Neocatechumenal Way was conferred June 13, 2008, in the aula magna of the Pontifical Council for the Laity, to the members of the international responsible team of the Neocatechumenal Way, formed by Kiko Arguello, Carmen Hernandez, and Fr. Mario Pezzi. The decree is dated May 11, 2008, Solemnity of Pentecost.

The communique of the Pontifical Council for the Laity was sent to Agenzia Fides and reads as follows: "The definitive approval of the statutes undoubtedly constitutes an important stage in the life of this ecclesial reality, established in Spain in 1964. This approval required consultation at various levels. During the ad experimentum period of approval of the statutes, the Council had the chance to witness the great contribution the Neocatechumenal Way makes to the new evangelization through a catechetical-liturgical praxis [that has been] esteemed during its more than forty years of existence, in many local Churches. Therefore, after an attentive review of the text of the statues and after implementing some modifications that were considered necessary, the Pontifical Council for the Laity decided to grant definitive approval to the statues."

Canonical statutes for the Neocatechumenal Way were approved ad experimentum by the Holy See in 2002, for a period of 5 years. But final approval was delayed, with informed sources suggesting that the Vatican remained concerned about some aspects of the organization, including unusual liturgical practices that had provoked a correction from the Congregation for Divine Worship in 2005. See Cardinal Arinze's Letter.

And these are the words of Benedict XVI relative to the rite of the Mass, in the address he gave to the Neocatechumenals on January 12, 2006:"Recently the congregation for divine worship and the discipline of the sacraments imparted to you, in my name, some norms concerning the Eucharistic celebration, after the trial period that had been granted by the servant of God John Paul II. I am certain that these norms, which draw upon the provisions of the liturgical books approved by the Church, will meet with attentive compliance from you."

For more information on the approval of the statutes see Sandro Magister's article, The Old Form of the Neocatechumenal Mass Is Illicit.

Catholics United

Catholics United is a non-profit, non-partisan organization whose professed mission is to promote the message of justice and the common good found at the heart of the Catholic Social Tradition. The group originally started as the Catholic Voting Project and incorporated formally as Catholics United in 2005.

Catholics United supports legislation that pushes contraception and was a driving force behind the effort to expand SCHIP, which the Catholic Medical Association declared contained: "significant flaws (which would allow) SCHIP funds to pay for abortion, contraception, sterilization, all without the knowledge or consent of the children's parents." Catholics United manipulated Church teaching and launched a nationwide campaign to bully Catholics into believing that SCHIP was a "pro-life" issue, rather than just another government entitlement program.

Karl Keating's E-Letter further illustrates how Catholics United twists the truth in its attack upon Catholic Answer's Voter's Guide.

Please see Archbishop Charles Chaput's article in the Catholic Culture Library.

The Rosarium of the Blessed Virgin Mary Life is a Canadian Catholic movement of lay people, priests, religious, and bishops which seeks to halt and reverse the disastrous effects of the culture of death in Canada, the U.S., and around the world.

Its members believe that the current moral crisis in Canada has been precipitated by the attack against authentic human sexuality and that the foundation of this attack is contraception.

It was founded by two Catholic laymen, John Pacheco and Tony Liuzzo, and three priests (two Canadian, one American) in the Autumn of 2003. Its mission is to usher in a respect for human life in Canada by exposing the harmful effects of contraception on Canadian culture and providing an avenue for education, repentence, and healing.

CyberFaith is a Catholic resources start page, with a special focus on catechetics and liturgical content. It is sponsored by the William H. Sadlier publishing company, a major U.S. catechism publisher. The site, as well as the publishing company, places emphasis on providing materials with content that is determined by mainstream U.S. Catholicism rather than by a critical application of official teaching. The result is that the site tends to present a view of Catholicism which over-emphasizes naturalism and social justice concerns.
