Next week am off to my friends in Lord Howe Island I have business there and just love  to get back to the island where the fish want you to pat them they are so friendly, no spiders snakes or even on single insect ,quiet the different to my home where the brown snakes love to roam, Lord Howe is a must if you are looking  for total relaxation and the friendliest people in the world but be warned no mobiles and don’t be in a rush because its holiday mode throughout the island  tune in for my next adventure .

Well I have been all round the country side again in the last few weeks enjoyed a trip to the Beautiful Narooma where many years ago I was conceived on the shores of the Waggonga River or so the story goes!   if you haven’t been to Narooma  you just have not lived  the water is a magnificent aqua blue across the inlet and the beaches are safe and delightful it’s a 2 hour drive across the Clyde mountain if you live in Canberra and a 5 hour drive from Sydney along the coast line or princes highway , but it sure leaves you with a lasting impression , as you drive in to Narooma  you must wind down the windows about 5km out of the town and listen the beautiful  bell birds they ring throughout the trees and the sound is so amazing , tranquil and glorious , oh god I just love it ! The golf course and the shops make it a great holiday or tourist destinations and the inlet is safe for the kids ,and the fishing is the best anywhere, this is where the big ships drop all the prawns and fish that are snap frozen and sent to Canberra and other destinations,  and did I tell you the best oysters  are farmed in Narooma , my dad and I  spent many years fishing catching prawns and oyster farming here when I was a little kid in fact we named our  first cottage in Huskisson on Mooney creek  Wagonga after the Inlet , oh yes I must give my Solicitor a plug in Narooma  he is the best anywhere and a Barrister with very high esteem  has the best any city could wish for yet he has found serenity in this lovely country town Richard Bussitil at Narooma Law  he’s my top recommendation for property law and great at all legal matters . The temperature is always around a very nice 26deg drops to around 18 in winter but most of the time it’s very pleasant .good rain fall very friendly country people average home sales around $400,000 – Millions water front rural properties can fetch Millions.

Last week I travelled to the beautiful central coast to list a delightful little café near lake Mc Quarry , I just love the central coast it’s so close to Sydney  the businesses do well there because of the influx of visitors from Sydney and the weather is always nice warm around the 26deg up to 40deg , and the great advantage of living on the coast is the beautiful beachers stretching along the coast and a shopping complex within reach of all of them , the people that own the business were so friendly and happy at what they do the business was in a great shopping complex outside under large sails and just the best coffee I have had anywhere .look it up on my sites .  We have had so much rain this week it’s just a god send for all our farmers myself included. the grass is growing like crazy  that can only mean better economy for us all , my horses haven’t picked their heads up  for a week and the dams are full and tanks overflowing in most country areas so that’s a big +

My funny story for the week , I have gathered my office into the car as usual tucked my dear little Pomerania in her bed on the back seat of my outback Subaru, she travels with me everywhere and my darling sister in-law Carol Deudney looks after her while I am on appointments , and I remembered how dusty my car was so I took the back road over the mountains  to the coast but before I went I called into my local car wash and thought I would make some business calls while in the car wash , so I am chatting away when a Hugh smack of water hit me in the back of the head and I realised I hadn’t put the back window up , the poor vendor I was talking to got such a big shock when I screamed in his ear, there I was drenched water flowing down my suit, hair all wet and rushing to get the window up I looked back at a poor drenched little doggie shivering in her basket with a forlorn look on her face , off course the vendor burst into laughter when I told him what had happened , but I guess I got my money’s worth a car wash dog wash and a new hairdo !  You know for the miles I do in my outback you would think Subaru would use me in their next promotion I sure am a good ambassador for the Company because the Subaru is the best car on the road! I should know!

I going to have lots of good stories to tell when I get back from London so stay tuned.

   RODEO’S  at Moruya

I  just love me  and it’s no wonder with my 2 children, daughter in law and grand children all riding in the events , yes it’s a real family affair , Clayton Deudney My son rides in the roping and bull dogging  his wife Kelly  dose the Barrel racing  and my Daughter Katryna Pendergast Barrel racing  and her husband Sheb rides the bronks  and my adorable grand daughter Chelsea only 7 also barrel races bless her little heart  and Jake and Toby 4 and 7 poddy calf riding , poor grandma has a fit when they come out of the shoots but I am so proud of the courage they show  and their uncle Clayton Russell rides the big bulls and his Wife rides in the Barrelling races , all of them did ok and on they went to Picton the next day to do it all again .if you haven’t ever been to a rodeo do your self a favour and take a chair and have a great day they are all on now for the season and it’s a load of fun .

Moruya is on the Safire coast10 Minutes from Batemans Bay 45 Minutes from Narooma it’s a beautiful friendly country town and well worth a look if you are travelling the south coast beaches from every location.

Well off I go again and this time I have accepted an invitation from one of my vendors Noel Kelly who was once one of Australia’s Foreign Affairs ministers and now lives on the magnificent Island of Samui. I have his palatial Koh Samui mansion/home for sale. It would be an ideal resort, as the home is set up with three levels for the millionaire be it a playboy or a resort owner. They cannot get better for the price which incidentally is around 79 Million Bart or $3 Million Australian.

When I left home it was 5 below in my home town and arrival in Bangkok was a bit of a change at around 40. What a shock that was. But I couldn’t help but notice the airport was so clean and immaculately designed with so many duty-free shops, bars and eateries, but very organised. A stay in Bangkok and then off I go the next day by air to Samui. 

Arriving at Koh Samui Airport what a wonderful experience that airport is, the best on a island I have ever seen. Immaculate, beautifully designed and built by a very wealthy business man who also built the hospital in Samui and that’s like a stay in a 6 star resort. More on that later.

The Thai People

You know the Thai people are so friendly and accommodating from the minute I was met at the airport by Noel’s staff, to the day I left the island, I was treated with respect and friendliness the whole time. It’s not that they have to, it’s that they want to be helpful and friendly, smiles on their faces all the time, and when I bumbled and tripped with all my gear the three women and one little adorable child rushed to assist me.

I find their culture amazing. I was always under the impression Thai girls were (well must I say) easy, but that’s not it at all. They are very proud people, never expose themselves like our brazen Aussie girls and dress as best they can at all times. They are humble and quiet, speak when they are spoken to and know what it’s like to be poor. The respect they have for their peers and family is commendable. My daughter is always complaining I don’t look after the grandchildren enough. Well, in Thailand the grandparents’ first consideration is to the grandchildren. It’s the grandparents that bring them up if needed, giving the mum a chance to get on her feet, but at the same time it’s the done thing to look after the family and in many cases many woman marry foreigners for security for the family.

I was sad to see the poorer sides of the island were families live no better than their dogs that trail around the island in search of food. A bit of tin holding a thatched wall together seems all they have. A few coconuts and an abundance of fruit grows on the island so no one every goes hungry and I guess in their own way that’s all they need. Most of the less fortunate people work on construction sites for very little money, but there were no beggars in the streets. Everyone works and appreciates the little money they receive – no industrial relations here – yet they are happy and contented in this lifestyle. But, as a Real Estate Agent and knowing the importance of first impressions are the best ones, I would like to see a clean-up campaign on the island, more sanitary and Garbage control.

I am an animal lover and am sad to see the dogs and cattle undernourished. The Thai’s faith is mostly Buddhism and believe nothing should be killed, especially the animals as they worship them. I am ok with that as I am an animal lover but I would like them fed! Yet the dogs roam in a placid manner all round the island looking like they need a good feed, and even so they are happy also just motoring on with the flow.

The Roads in Samui

Now that’s a different experience! The roads are mainly made of concrete – too hot for bitumen – so the cars drive down tracks that in Australia you would call them goat tracks and amazingly motor bikes, trucks, dogs, chooks and pedestrians all seem to survive, no road rules and NO road rage. Everyone is courteous – amazing to me! The only one time I saw a disgruntled driver it was a foreigner. The Thai’s just let him through without a blink off an eye. I loved that so much about the placid nature of these people. They are so polite. The government here is trying to do its best in upgrades but it’s got a long way to go! After all this is an island. We shouldn’t expect highways or that would take it away from that get away feeling… and it’s a short time from one side of the island to the other anyway!

If you are looking for a top adventure on the water call Steve Garland. He owns Home Cruiser Port Stephens and is on the marina  at the end of the first wharf. What a life he has… cruising around with charters for groups wanting a relaxed, personal day out.

While I was strolling down the wharf I met up with Steve and while talking to him there was a little dolphin playing in the water. Gosh, I just loved it. Maybe I will have a boat as my office in Nelson Bay… that’s a thought I might want to consider. But I do get sea sick! I have just sold Incredible Edible for the second time here so if you’re in the bay drop in and see Wayne and Sue. Tell them I sent you and I am sure they will give you a great feed, it’s in the heart of town.

Off I go again!  Well spring time and the blossoms are all out and looking just great in our country areas. Have you been to Wagga Wagga?  It’s our largest inland city in NSW and has an amazing shopping area with about three main streets. My dear little daughter in-law owns a florist shop there called Australian Art Florist on Baylis street. They send flowers all round the globe so when you want a top gift and flowers call Jackie and Kelly, they are the friendliest people and do an awesome arrangement and make a fortune out of me when I sell a business! Gotta keep it in the family!

Wagga  is also noted for it’s races. My race horse Raw Diva runs the track and it’s a great day out with a terrific member’s bar and food. Horse heaven, that’s what Wagga and the surrounding districts offer… cutting horses, racing, pony clubs and Wagga’s Equex shows off it’s performing horses of all breeds, so come to the rich Riverina, its only 5 hours from Sydney, 2 from Canberra and 5 to Melbourne.

I also have some pretty good businesses listed right now. There’s a top little bowls shop for sale right near Australian Art Florist. It’s a good little money spinner with no hard work involved. It’s great for a single lady or man. There’s also a pelmet manufacturing business for sale. This business can be run in Sydney or anywhere. Pick it up and take it home. As a home industry it’s great.

Indoor Play Centre Riverina

Now listen to this one… I had the pleasure of listing an icon indoor child play centre in Wagga on the main highway into town. It’s the Noah’s Ark. Gee I was impressed with this owner! It’s a great big ark made of timber and looks exactly like Noah’s Ark.

Noah would be so proud of his replica! And kids everywhere love it. My grand kids just wet their pants to get in there, and I just love the cafe, sitting back with the sun beaming in watching the kids have a ball! So if you’re in Wagga don’t go past it.

Go in, you will love it. How smart are these people? I admire their brilliance. They own the property too. It’s on the market with us also and I reckon a bowling centre or skateway would look great behind the Ark. There is lots of space to expand.

The owners have a TOP farm and want to retire, so I have the pleasure of selling it.

My beautiful town of Poplars Tumut… this is noted as God’s own country, located at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, and yes this is where I live… that’s when I am ever home. Most of my days I am on the road with buyers looking at businessess for sale all over Australia, but when I get the chance I come home to heaven.

The beauty here is like no other. If you haven’t been to Tumut you have missed a lifetime experience. I have sold over 15 businesses here and only have a few more listed… a great fish and chips cafe with indoor seating that has won awards for its gluten free food. A great buy. 

I also have a top bricks and pavers business for sale that also has hire equipement and freehold included if you want. Too good to overlook, a top cafe in the heart of the CBD that caters for hungry customers with all week trading. It’s a great buy. Took the ship across to list a bakery in Launceston. What a lovely place that is… great people and so polite on the road. It would do the NSW drivers good to be so courteous… and what a great bakery, patisserie and health food shop!
