A New Chapter for me...HCG!

I have finally decided after loosing 20 pounds on my own since July 2010, (mostly by cutting out soda and the midnight munchies...thanks goodness for Stevia and Starbucks Green Tea) that I need a little boost to shed the next 20 pounds. I have read and researched tons about using HCG. I decided that the shots would work best for me since, I am usually on the go and I can not for the life of me ever remember anything let alone time taking the drops several times a day before eating. I started my Loading days on Wed. May 25, 2011. I ate so many fattening foods and drank I don't know how many Starbucks drinks on those 2 days I never want another Venti Caramel Macciatto with extra whip from Starbucks again...ha! who am I kidding (I will eventually, but far into my future).

I am so far doing very well on the HCG, I have stuck to it with no cheating. I hear the first week can be the most difficult, and I can see why...making meals for others in the family who can eat anything :( but, I will reap the rewards and a rockin' body (hopefully). My will power has been kicking in and I am very proud of myself. I can do it YES I can!!! This is what I tell my self every time I think of something sweet. I have a bad sweet tooth, I find adding cinnamon and vanilla stevia to my apples helps a ton, also I'm loving a strawberry smoothie, YUMMY!!! I got my Vanilla Stevia from Amazon for $8.98 shipped that is by far the cheapest I have EVER found it. (I have a link on the upper left corner for this). You will not regret trying this it is well worth the money, I have only used 3/4 of a bottle in 6 months so it last forever.

I am also looking for new recipes so if you have any you would like to share please comment or email them to cavanaghchronicle@gmail.com and I will post them in a new post to share with everyone. The Cheerios family of cereals, First Book and Jon Scieszka, author of the popular “Trucktown” series and other children´s books, have joined together to deliver 100,000 books to community-based programs serving children in need – and they need your help!

Access to books is essential to reading development. However, did you know that over 80 percent of childcare centers serving low-income children lack age-appropriate books? And a recent study shows that the ratio of books per child in middle income neighborhoods is 13 to 1, while in low-income neighborhoods, the ratio is 1 age-appropriate book for every 300 children.

Now, all you have to do is visit www.FirstBook.org/Scieszka with your child and test your combined knowledge of children´s books by answering trivia questions related to "Trucktown" and other great children´s books.

For every trivia question answered correctly, you can cast one vote for the state you would like to receive books. The five states receiving the most votes will get 20,000 books each, for a total of 100,000 books. Visit www.FirstBook.org/Scieszka to test your knowledge and start voting.

For this review, I received a Cheerios Gift pack which contained of a box of Frosted Cheerios, 5 children's books and a $25 Barnes and Noble Gift Card.

We love reading the books that were sent to us. They each have wonderful illustrations and all of the stories are told in Spanish and English. My kid's really enjoy the book "What's Under the Bed". The Cheerios were a hit too. The box has since been emptied, but it sure was delicious and I would definitely buy it in the future. It's not too sweet and it is also good for you.ided yo

Urgent Prayer Request for the Sullivans!!

The Sullivans have been married for 5 years. I'm not 100% sure of details but she had breast cancer during her pregnancy. She ended up having to have an emergency c-section this week and soon after they got home started seizing. She is now on life support and they may have announced her brain dead. They have a brand new baby Chloe. I just keep thinking about this young guy that may not only have to grieve the love of his life but will be left with a brand new baby. I can't imagine. Please pray. (Since I wrote this - she has gone on to be with Jesus). This young husband REALLY needs your prayers.
