Cave Man North

The Return of Skullzor

2013-10-07T18:02:00.001-08:00

Alright I am back!

Welcome to the new and improved Cave Man North Blog!

Just to make this site a bit more streamlined and current I put all of the old posts away. Not like gone but just archived for my own use. Now it is time for some fun new stuff. I will be featuring drawings and other projects here. Here is just a little example of something I am working on now...

Hmm what could it be... Well I guess you will just have to wait and see.

A playable demo will hopefully be up in the coming weeks but school is very demanding right now.

PS. Check out the Instagram link for some of my drawing and other picks.

My new camera

2011-09-10T17:31:00.001-08:00

So recently my camera was stolen out of my drive way along with my memory card with all my pictures from this summer. That was a major bummer. But there is a silver lining mom and dad were nice enough to get me a new camera, A very nice new camera. Here are just some pictures from messing around with it.

Arrow keys for movement and Up for jump.

This is what the code looks like. (note I didn't make this one it is a copy of someone else's)

Star WAAAAAAARSsssss

2011-04-20T18:23:00.000-08:00

Foul sand creatures wander the desert eating stray children and sweating ridiculous amounts on their furry woolly mammoth baby mounts.

The bottom is the original I did with pen and markers.

Sloths are cool...

2011-03-20T22:25:00.000-08:00

Something about a creature that moves slow enough to have moss grow on it is really interesting. So here you go a mossy balloonie sluggie and wingy creature. All done digitally trying to emulate a style similar to Skottie Young who is awesome.

New Second Blog...

2011-03-18T14:39:00.000-08:00

So I decided to start another blog dedicated entirely to making silly comics and funnies. There are currently 2 up but I am going to try and post at least 2-3 a week. Go check it out and see what he is so excited about. Click on the image for a link.

These are some images that I have made for a project I have been working on. It is concept art for a free game remake. Mostly I like the game and it helps to have a goal and someone you are responsible to, to make you practice.

More to come.

Picasso got nothing on me! Silly monsters drawn while waiting for Dad to come out so we could go to lunch.

Rainbow Girraph Tiger Elephant

Swimmer

2011-01-13T23:51:00.000-09:00

So I really got in over my head with this one. The line work was fairly easy it just took a bit but I have no idea how to color it and make it look semi transparent. Maybe that will be an obstacle to tackle later but not now.
This is sort of the progress from start to finish.

A Little Work in Progress

2011-01-11T22:59:00.000-09:00

So This is supposed to be a picture of the beach at Kincaid but it is a bit off and still not done. Mostly I am just not sure how to make it look good and there seems to be some other issues that I can't put my finger on. I might work on it some more but we will see.

Original Painting

2010-04-07T10:48:00.000-08:00

I actual did this a while back but I don't think I have posted it here. It is a painting I did for a book project. It is from the book "In Cold Blood". I didn't like the book but this picture turned out well I think.

The last few posts have been tropical so I will keep it up by posting this little quick sketch I did. It is a robotic diver if you couldn't tell.

2010-01-05T12:55:00.000-09:00

I submitted my final essay for the CES application at about 7:00 Pm yesterday. At 7:03 I received an email that said they had received it and my application would be reviewed and I would receive a response in 3-6 weeks. At 7:04 I received this in an email ,"A decision has been reached on your application for BYU Hawaii. Please go to the Decision Notification page where you can view the decision and related information." Yes I am that good. I got accepted so quick, they must have been just waiting for me to finish my application. I might just have to go "chill" there for my freshman year. I mean how bad could it be?

WARNING: SCARY

2009-12-21T23:20:00.000-09:00

So I think we all agree these are the years of the zombies and vampires, and that there is little more frightening than having your brains devoured. Or you leg chewed of by a shark.

Here by request:

This version is not complete, I may add more shading and lighting later.

Here is a little sketch I did of the CreatureBox Logo. They do some really awesome stuff and create some really inspiring creatures. Hopefully I will get to inking and coloring this.

Here is a little man and a BIG ape. I skeched this up real quick on my computer the other day.

I'm back,

So I've been busy with the first semester of school not doing much other than running and school. Running was interesting this year. I raced decent I would say and for every race except for regions I was on varsity. At the race before regions I was having leg issues; patteller tendentious and knee "crunching". Neither of which sound good. I ended up placing 9th or so for Dimond so I got bumped off varsity.

But it was all good because when I raced open at regions I placed 4th. It was probably one of the funnest races I have run. Stayed with the first 3 guys for almost all the race but as we hit the 4k mark they started to pull away. After the race and looking at the results I realized I couldn't be too hard on myself for not staying with them: considering if I had it would have been a personal record by 10 seconds or so.

It was a fun way to end my senior season and at the banquet I received my varsity letter and special Steve Prefontaine award for being SUPER TUFF! They gave me this sweet poster.
