Cavelero Family Homework Night - Thursday, May 20th 6-8pm in the Cavelero Library - Free

Bring the family to school! Enjoy a night of working together on homework, researching, practicing educational games on the computers, or reading a good book! It's a great time to catch up on your classwork or get going on those end of the year projects! We will order pizza for any participants signed in and working by 6:15. Come join the fun, and get your homework done! Complete your evening with a free ice cream treat on your way out the door.

Greetings from Cavelero!

A great opportunity awaits for those of you who love to play games!

Volunteers are needed on Thursday, Nov. 19th, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm for FAMILY GAME NIGHT!

We need parents to play games with students and families. Tables will be set up with a different game at each table, and we need at least one person at each table that knows the rules ahead of time . The games are easy - Mrs. Sanchez will show you how to play them. If she has access to the games, she will even send one home with you ahead of time to play with your own family. If you are interested & willing to participate, please email Carmen Sibley at carmen_sibley@lkstevens.wednet.edu .

Please contact the Cavelero secretary, Carmen Sibley, if you are able to join us for the first day of school.
We are seeking volunteers to help greet students and distribute schedules 6:45-7:20. Also, if lunchtime suits your schedule, please join us in the Commons 10:45-12:50 to help distribute lockers or assist with supervision as a part of our Lunchtime Walk About program (which continues throughout the year). We may even have a place for you to help in the office throughout the day if you prefer. Thank you for considering this opportunity to support our Cavelero community. Volunteer packets and background check info is available in the office which is open 9am-noon and 1-3pm this week.

You don't have to be an ASB officer to join us - Just bring a positive attitude, intergrity, and a strong work ethic. The Spring Student Recognition Program is scheduled for Monday, June 8th. Dorian Studios will be on campus that evening for Family Photos. This will be a great opportunity to catch your teen in a family picture! Watch for mailings regarding the evening plans. Invitations will be mailed home for students who will be recognized.

Retakes will be Thursday Oct 23rd 8:00-10:30am.

The Cavelero Yearbook is available for pre-sale until October 31, 2008. The cost is $25. You can purchase it at the Cavelero Finance/Business Office or on-line (see "On-Line Store" button on the Cavelero Website -- follow instructions provided). (The extra yearbooks ordered will be available on a first come/first served basis in June. The price in June will be $35 ---- cash or online purchase only for the "extra yearbooks").
