Our shop manager, Amanda, loves all of the new Country Collections this Autumn. "They are practical and wearable with a contemporary twist - perfect for a day in the Country or a trip into town".

Amanda is seen here in one of Barbour's new Regimental wax jackets - a fabulous semi fitted longer length jacket with military styling to the front. Her jacket is in classic navy and has been much admired. The boots are chocolate suede spanish boots from The Really Wild Company and the scarf is by Seasalt - a company with soil association recognition for the organic and ethical nature of their clothing.

Cavells Country has everything one could possibly need to be ready for the start of the Pheasant season on Saturday. Paul, one of our knowledgeable staff, can be seen here modelling a selection of items from our extensive range of available clothing.

The Darcy tweed, goretex lined, plus 2 breeks, the merino/cashmere mix V-neck jumper, the Cambridge check cotton shirt, the Preston plaid socks with garters and the Ashwell soft shell gilet are all part of Schoffel Countrywear's new range of clothing which has been launched this season, offering the highest standards in both quality and practicality.

His accessories are a handmade leather cartridge bag and gun slip from Croots and, for a bit of fun, Paul is wearing a "boxing hares" silk tie by cravats.

Cavells Country are delighted to announce that our new Autumn / Winter Collections have now started to arrive in store.

We are particularly excited about the new Dubarry tweed range for which we are one of only a handful of stockists throughout the UK. The range incorporates beautiful coats, jackets, skirts and their trademark, goretex lined, Galway boots all in sumptuous tweed in three fabulous colours.

Schoffel Country have also extended their range this season, to include wonderful quilted jackets and gilets, fantastic shirts and new fleece gilet colours in luxurious raspberry for women and a classic burgundy for men. The new products compliment an already strong collection which encapsulates the quality and wear ability that people now expect from Schoffel. Spring Fashion Show

Cavells of Oakham hosted a Spring Fashion Show in aid of The Princes Trust recently to showcase their new collections. A number of fabulous outfits from Cavells Country were modelled as part of the event and the picture to the left shows a green quilted jacket from Barbour, a pair of R M Williams jeans, an Aglini shirt, Dubarry boots and a Mulberry handbag. All of these items are available in the South Street shop in Oakham as part of our extensive Spring ranges. In addition, new stock is currently arriving each week.

This season, in addition to our existing collections from The Really Wild Company, Schoffel Country, Dubarry, R M Williams, Barbour and Aigle, we are also delighted to stock fabulous summer clothing from Seasalt, Brax, Ness and The Rose (in addition to many other brands). Although the shop continues to offer a wide range of country clothing, our current season also has a much more "lifestyle" feel to it, providing clothes suitable for golf, casual weekend wear and holidays. Cavells Country were delighted to sponser the Oakham School U12 and U10 Rugby 7's and Netball competition, held on Sunday 7th March. We "took" the shop to the event and displayed a range of our merchandise from Schoffel Countrywear fleeces, Barbour jackets, Aigle wellies and Dubarry boots to Icebreaker merino wool clothing and R M Williams hats. It was a sunny but bitterly cold day so the Mycoal handwarmers were particularly popular although fleeces, hats and scarves also sold well. Approximately 25 Prep Schools from the Midlands region took part and congratulations must go to Witham Hall (twice), Cundall Manor and Spratton Hall for winning the 4 main competitions.

My Dubarry boots are only a week old but already they have walked "Fred the Bassett" daily, watched a Leicester Tigers match and kept my feet warm at my daughters Netball match! The Galway boots are the most comfortable waterproof boot I have ever had and I would recommend everyone to try a pair.

Store Launch

Our new store launched on the evening of the 27th August! Some 120 guests attended to enjoy drinks and canapes and take a tour of the shop. Special thanks go to our shop designer, Nick Butterfield and our main contractor, Chris Wakefield who worked to our demanding brief and tolerated our many changes of mind throughout the build.
