Campus Shutdown For Summer Break

LOCATION: CCM Campus except The�Youth Center

In an effort to keep things squeaky clean around here, the CCM campus will be closed�for a summer�break, June 29- July 3,�to do deep cleaning, strip and wax floors and perform various maintenance duties.�There will be no Bible studies or meetings held on campus with the�exception of�those that meet in the Youth Center; i.e., Fusion, ALIVE and�Jr./Sr. High Youth.�Home groups will meet at their normal times off campus.

Holiday Weekend Hours

The entire campus, including the�church office, Common Grounds Cafe, the Youth Center�and The Chapel Store will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, to observe�the Independence Day holiday.�Wednesday�night and weekend services�WILL be held as usual, however, including Saturday July 4th. (You'll still have plenty of time to catch the fireworks!)

The Common Grounds Cafe will be closed June 29 - July 3, except for Wednesday, July 1, when they will open from 4:00 -9:00 pm.�On Saturday, the 4th of July, they will close at 8:30 pm and on Sunday they will resume their normal business hours.

The Chapel Store will also be closed for inventory on Tuesday, June 30. They will be open normal hours the rest of the week, except they will close at 8:00 pm on Saturday, July 4th.

Ever wish you could sit down with one of our pastors and just pick�his brain about something? Maybe there's�a passage�or a doctrine you've never quite understood, or an issue at home or work that you'd love to get their perspective on. Maybe you have a question about raising children, or marriage, or why we do things the way we do here at Calvary Chapel. You get the picture - just�some practical wisdom based on God's Word.

Well this is your chance to get answers! Join�Pastor Mark, Pastor Dave�and�Pastor Dean for this special evening as�they�attempt to�your questions in an informal panel-type�setting. We will start the service with worship, as usual, and the�next hour�will be�dedicated solely to Q & A!

"We wanted to do something fresh and new," explained Pastor Mark. "We think this will be�a great�way we can all learn together what the Bible has to say about the issues of everyday life."

Building a Successful Stepfamily Conference

So you find yourself in a situation you never thought you'd be in - raising a stepfamily. You may be sharing children between two households, possibly with two different sets of values, or with kids who no longer have any relationship with one natural parent at all.

No matter how precious they are, the budget is usually stretched, logistics are complicated and life can get pretty overwhelming at times. Too often parents have no time or energy left to stay built up spiritually or to learn how to do things better, let alone to invest in their relationship.

Tough? Oh yeah.

But can they survive, and even thrive with God's help? Absolutely!

Here at CCM we have a heart for stepfamilies. We're doing all we can to provide Biblical instruction and a whole bunch of encouragement to help every family flourish as, together, we learn to do life God's way!

It's with great enthusiasm we bring you the Building a Successful Stepfamily Conference, featuring Ron Deal, M.MFT., Founder and President of Successful Stepfamilies. Ron's organization empowers couples and stepfamilies, and equips churches for effective ministry to them. He is also an author and serves as Stepfamily Educational Consultant to Focus on the Family, Family Life Today and America's Family Coaches, along with many other distinguished credentials. Add to that Ron's easygoing humor, and it's no wonder these conferences are in high demand across the country!

Topics include such things as Parenting and Stepparenting Roles, Five Keys to Marital Intimacy and Strategies to Help Your Children. The conference is appropriate for singles, couples, grandparents, church ministry leaders and mental health professionals.

Young Heros Minicamp!

Our ever popular kid's camps are in high gear this summer, with The Edge just finishing theirs and Young Heros' on deck! If your child is entering 2nd through 4th grade, you'll want to get them signed up for their own mini bootcamp, as they explore the Fruits of the Spirit! Kids love the game times, crafts and interactive teaching times,�with enough�silliness to make�them fun�and enough�seriousness to�make�them fruitful! �

Well get ready to get upclose and personal with illusionists David and Teesha Laflin when they take the�stage here at CCM!!�Whether you're into swords or daring escapes, you'll be talking about this show for the rest of the summer! In fact, audiences have called their presentation as powerful and�passionate - the kind of performance that�connects with all ages and keeps�them on the edge of�their seats!�

Yet more than just amazing performers, they�have also been�described as vibrant Christ followers, committed to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ�clearly through�their skills�of illusion.�Even if their trade is illusion, when it comes to their faith, they're the real deal!
