A Weekend Trip to Davao

Cedric and friends invited me to go with them to Davao on the 2nd week of December and since I promised myself to go back to Davao before the end of 2011, I accepted the invitation. I also planned the itinerary of the trip.

Anyways, everyone was excited for the trip because we actually took travel agencies for our 2 days trip. Day 1 will cover the Crocodile Park, Malagos Garden Resort and the Philippine Eagle Center where I was able to bring home an eagle's feather :D

Finally, day 2 came and the weather was just amazing! We were very excited for this trip because of the amazing rumors about the said beach resort so we started the conversation with our expectation...and before the conversation was about to get intense, to our surprise the resort was already in front of us.

Indubitably the Home of Abyss. You have no idea how awesome this place is plus having great friends around, it was an infinite smile everywhere!

I was able to speak with the manager of the said beach resort and gave us quick glimpse of the things that you can do in Maxima: banana boat riding, slide, swim, snorkeling and alot more!

Before we started doing crazy things, we filled our stomach first with their crocodile dishes and some food that we brought. Yes, you can bring your own food ;) (FYI: You might want to order as soon as you arrive because most of their dish easily gets sold out.)

We had the slide many times because it was just so fun! LOL! We weren't able to take a photo of the snorkeling because camera wasn't waterproof which actually was the reason why I bought a waterproof cam weeks after this trip :D

6th Mensiversary

And here we are again...and we are in the middle of our anniversary from that day we said 'yes' going to that day we will be turning 'a year'. I thank God for giving both of us good conversation and understanding heart to hear each others feelings: anger, happiness, pain, misery, etc.

I pray for more strength and patience for us and for the coming months and years to come. Bless us, our family and friend and protect us from evil.

Banyan Tree Spa - Worst Spa Experience Ever

As much as I don't want to put dirt on my blog, but I just can't let this experience I had with Banyan Tree Spa pass.

Ced and I were so exhausted from the long walk we had during the Sinulog Festival 2012. We literally walked from the place where we stayed (near Ayala) to Cherry Court (across San Carlos Boys High North Campus) to meet some friends. Then went to One Mango to meet more friends. Lastly, walked straight to Elizabeth Mall (E Mall) to meet Ced's High School and College classmates. Can you imagine how far that was?

The walking actually didn't end there yet, we walked the same path all the way to our place. Rested for a few minutes and walked straight to Ayala for the fireworks and for the Globe Event where we were invited.

After all those feet burdening scenarios, Ced and I promised to have a good massage the day after.

The day after came, the roads were clean and taxis available, we went to Hapuhap Spa at V. Rama around 1:00PM for I've heard they have reinvented and improved their masseurs' skills regarding their craft. However, it was close and was told that it will open around 3:00PM. Ced and I couldn't wait and ask the taxi driver if he knows any Spa near Fuente. The driver said that their is a good spa at the 3rd level of Rajah Hotel that most of his passengers goes there for a massage.

We hastily went there because my body is dying to have a good massage! We went straight to the 3rd floor and saw Banyan Tree Spa Signage...and this was the start of the horrible experience.

I went to the front desk to inquire for their services, but before I was able to speak, the lady told me this:

Wala na raba available masahista sir... (There was no available masseur.)

I hastily said that we can wait. Almost got pissed of the lady for having no manner and welcoming me like that! Anyways, we took the Body Massage and the Foot Reflex since we were there already. We were placed on our designated area after 30 minutes and waited for the masseur. The masseur came after 15 minutes bringing a bad news. He told us if we could cancel our Foot Reflex because there are many customers that are waiting (hey, we are your customers here too...and we came here first!). I didn't want to start a fight so I agreed. Please, I just want to relax and have a good massage. Don't bring me problems along the way.

Before the masseur started, I asked for a short to change; however they don't have any and this should be an SOP for a spa. Anyways, I had no choice but took of everything aside from my undies. The massage started and I finally can just relax, but before I would even feel that, the masseur left me again and this time it took him 25 minutes to come back! I was freakin' feeling cold due to the aircon and realized that their music was terribly annoying! I got so pissed but was still able to contain everything in. The masseur started the pressure, but never felt any good, relaxing sensation from it. It was terrible!

To add more to that, after the terrible massage, the masseur just literally pulled my undies off and I was like WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU DOING!??? He probably got shocked and left the room. I hastily dressed up with the oil in my body and left the room...went to the front desk and paid with no tip!

Unwelcoming front desk attendant, low customer service, terrible massage and masseurs with no respect to customers! Banyan Tree Spa in Rajah Hotel just SUCK! It was just worthless! It was a mistake that we even went there! I swear to God that I'll never comeback there or let my friends try it there!

Bloody Birthday

Yes, finally! I'm so sorry for not updating. I got stuck in a place where internet connection isn't in their vocabulary. I would just like to share what I wore during my birthday :D (Yes, I stood to the idea of wearing red on birthdays. LOL!)

January, is just the busiest month for me. Aside from it's my birth month, it's also the Sinulog Festival here in Cebu. In addition to that, I always have this emotional shift everytime I get old. LOL!

I will be posting more update soon with Sinulog Festival and more looks (Backlogs overload!). Hopefully, I'll finish them all soon before my next travel!

Turning 24

So much has happened...people come and go...and some met again, but I am so so grateful of all the things: my friends, the experiences, my family, to the people who walked with me, to my love and to everything!

Words cannot describe how blessed I am to have you all in my life. Yes, I'm getting emotional lately. It's the disease you get when you add '1' on your current age. You need to flip the current page and write another article of your life in a clean empty sheet. You start to get this fever when you're in the middle of your 20's. I call it the 'Aging Fever'! Whew!

Sigh!

I feel happy but sad at the same time. I really can't explain it. Maybe it's also the feeling of you not accomplishing your goals...because ever since Elementary, I have planned my life already. Having a business at 24. Will have a family at 25...and stable life in the succeeding years. However, it seems that I might not able to accomplish this all. Sigh!

I suddenly felt that my life SUCK! I'm such a loser! LOL! Sigh!

I know, I know that maybe I just need more time or maybe I just need to think straight for the future. This goal of mine since childhood has been overdue long enough. It's about time to get things straight.

Lord, help me please.

Dinner at Jack's Ridge Resort and Restaurant - Davao Day 1

And I thought our day ended up with a blast at the Davao Crocodile Park and the trip to Lola Abon's. I guess I was wrong because it will be THE BLAST at Jack's Ridge Resort and Restaurant! It was my first time to experience it there and boy it was like crazy awesome!

I didn't realize that we haven't took our dinner yet due to the amazement that we are slowly absorbing until Dyan's cousin, Jerome, invited us for dinner. We hastily took a bath and change for Jerome will be picking us in a few.

A freaking HOT sports car picked us up and went straight to Jack's Ridge Resort and Restaurant. Too bad I wasn't able to take a photo of the drooling sports car.

Jack's Ridge Resort and Restaurant was like an elevated, isolated area (on top of the hill). Having dinner in a Baguio-type weather plus a view overlooking the city is like UNDESCRIBABLE!

Mr. Nelson just finished our package and we are indeed very grateful to have him as our tour guide and our driver for the whole day. He just rocked it all the way. Mr. Nelson and I just have these amazing conversation from the start until the end of our tour. FYI, what a great tour guide you are and a very relaxing driver.

To my surprise, he enjoyed our company too. For that he offered us a free ride to Lola Abon's Durian Candy Store since my friends and I were planning of bringing some Davao delicacies home...and back to our hotel.

Davao Crocodile Park - Davao Day 1

It has been my 2nd time in Davao Crocodile Park (check my first experience here) and I personally advised the group that it's A MUST to go their.

Unfortunately, the place was full pack with students! Seriously, it was very hard to pass through one area to another.

I personally love Davao Crocodile Park especially the performance of Tribu Kamindanawan firedance performance! It was just wicked! Too bad I wasn't able to take a video (for the second time)! Grrr!

I'm still really glad that my friends enjoyed every bit of their time so far! I can't wait for our day 2 which is in Maxima Beach Resort!

The Malagos Garden Resort - Davao Day 1

After the very tiring walk at the Philippine Eagle Center, I wanted our Malagos Garden Resort tour to be more relax -- I know they have this vehicle that will tour you in their very wide area. Unfortunately, their was no available vehicle...so we decided to start walking, but before we even went to the first stop, we saw some vintage bicycles for rent. Yes, we rented it for Php 50.00/hour.

The Malagos Garden Resort is like a one-stop-tour! With so many things to do and animals to see, this place is definitely worth paying for!

See how big the place is? Trust me, you should get a ride if you want to tour the said garden resort ;)
I think we actually roamed the whole area and saw so so so many animals: horses, ostriches, peacock, etc.

Planning 2012

Meeting my loves (Eden, Vanessa and Marco), the CFB and some of the people who who inspired me big time mad a BIG CHANGE of what I would love to be someday. Eden and I had a good talk yesterday mostly about my future goals in life.

I posted it here a couple of weeks ago about my New Year 2012 Goals and it says there that I will be starting my DIYs and will be looking for a bigger and better closet and racks for my stuff. In addition, I have been slowly making my own design which has been one of the dreams that was rotten in the coffin for the longest years. LOL! Hopefully, some of my designer friends can help me pulling this off and actually produce my design...one day. One step at a time...no pressure :D

Celebrating New Year 2012

Until now I am still in a trance on how amazing God is! How my family's life has changed from our status before and how everything just fell into places. I am so so blessed with great friends and such a wonderful family!

Lastly, I am so overwhelmed how amazing God is just so so good! I, together with all hopeless romantic people have been praying and asking for years when will they found the right person for them. All I can say is be patient. I'm sure you've met the person already...just open your life and be complete for yourself and someone complete your life for you. You have no idea how patiently I have waited for this person to come into my life. My friends can absolutely testify how many times I have cried (in the office...LOL!) and suffered, but I let go and let life guide me.

Now, I couldn't actually ask for more but good health and more years to come for my friends, my family and myself of course.

We went straight to The Philippine Eagle Center which is also a breeding facility for the Philipine Eagle. However, before we actually went inside the Center, you will pass by a couple of people who have snakes as pets and we had a photo with it :D

Below are some species of eagle.

I had fun knowing alot of things about the eagles and how difficult their breeding process is. Since the eagles are monogamous, they can identify their mate and it's like marriage where they bind each other together. Unfortunately, if one dies its impossible to breed... They also tried experimenting putting one male and one female, whom both of their mates passed away, in a cage; however, so far there is still no progress on the said experiment. I came to realize alot of things actually...on how to value life in general and how strong these eagles are.

You can also find brown deer, wild boar, monkeys and a crocodile inside the Philippine Eagle Center.

We arrived safe and sound in Davao via Cebu Pacific. While waiting for our tour guide to arrive, had a couple of cam-whoring session.

Happy New Year 2012 Goals

Wow! Time flies way too fast! I still remember the time I wrote my Happy New Year 2011 Goals like it was just like yesterday...and now I'm about to write my 2012 Goals.

The year 2012, is the year of the Dragons. People who was born on the year 1988 is also a Dragon (that includes me)! We, according to the Chinese zodiac definition, are innovative, enterprising, self-assured, brave, passionate; however, conceited, and quick-tempered. Very true! LOL!

Last 2011, I promised myself to spend more time to myself (accomplished) and my family (failed)! I, unfortunately, spent too much time to myself. Vanity struck...sigh! So sorry... However, drinking and going out at night is absolutely much lesser compared last year :D

Now, I have updated my New Year goals for 2012, but let's check first my accomplishment on the 2011:

✔ Open a Time Deposit

☐ iPhone 4 -- I got Blackberry instead and I'm happy with it!

☐ Go back to Gym and exercise Regularly -- Stopped last March --- X

✔ Launch iSwallow.info (Month of January)

✔ Make a Contest for Rabsing.com

✔ be MORE patient! (God Help me!)

So, here it is:

☐ Will go back to gym on January and will maintain until the end of the year!

☐ Will spend more, more time with family.

☐ Balance career and love.

☐ SAVE every PAY DAY!

No words can express how grateful and happy and proud I am for having you. I have been always aware how painful love can be and all its complications, but when both of you do the tango it's like floating in the air. Both understands, both compromises and just love.

Maybe that's just it, love. Simple.

The VBS 2011 Experience

Now that I am more confident with myself and found myself an area where I can actually belong, it changed me to be better in what I do and the way I deal with people...and that I think I have shown on the said event.
