Keeping track of your shoes (for walking or running) is quite a chore, and usually requires a dedicated paper journal. If you are currently a Runkeeper user (or plan to be one), there’s a great web app for you!

Shoe Tracker (by Queso Technologies) is a web app that helps you keep track of the mileage (or kilometerage) and use of your shoes. It does this by using the power of Health Graph, the data system used by the Runkeeper website.

Using the web app, you enter your shoes (name, brand/model, purchase price, date of purchase) in your personal list. Every time you use Runkeeper and log an activity there, Shoe Tracker will add that mileage to your default pair of shoes (or the pair that you tagged with your activity).

In effect, every time you post an activity on Runkeeper, the Shoe Tracker app will add that activity to the mileage of your shoe(s), automatically. This saves you the trouble of keeping a shoe journal, and tracking would be more accurate.

Features:
18 filters, 15 borders, 6 crop ratios, rotate and flip, 4 tilt-shifts, and edit hue / saturation / brightness / contrast.

Also, it has a gaming aspect, where you get to unlock badges for uploading photos. This keeps sharing a bit more fun and competitive.

You can cross post to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Flickr. One unique feature of the service is that at a certain point, you can upload photos using the web app! (I very nice feature, especially if you are manually moving your photos from another sharing service.)

EyeEm is a free photo sharing app that is available for iOS, Android, and WinPhone. The app features high-quality filters and frames to let you enhance your mobile photos. It suggests tags and location automatically, and lets you share your captures on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Flickr, and Foursquare.

It also has its own social network, letting you expand the ‘reach’ of your mobile photos. And yes, the service also provides you with a web-based profile for easy viewing on a laptop or desktop.

Keeping track of the books you read can be quite a chore. Maybe you can dedicate a paper journal for this purpose, but there’s an easier way to go about it: Goodreads.

With more than 12,000,000 members and more than 410,000,000 books listed, Goodreads is probably the biggest site for readers and book recommendations. Here, you could list the books you already read, currently reading, and titles you wish to read later on. You can post reviews about the ones your read, and also rate them.

Aside from your personal list, you can add friends on the site, making the service more ‘social’. Looking for book recommendations is as easy as just perusing your friends’ lists. Also, the site automatically gives recommendations based on your personal book shelves.

Goodreads is a great tool for all!
