Cash Flow Strategy Reviving California

We're not trying to be religious but there is a "Cash Flow Revival" happening right here in the good old California.

When things are stagnant in our lives we hope for good change to come and come quickly. In a nut shell we are hoping for a revival of some sort. We could be dying spiritually and it would be okay to hope to be revived. We could be physically sick and it would be okay to hope to be revived. We could be in a hopeless marriage or relationship and it would be okay to hope for it to be revived. We could be in a dead end job and it would be okay to hope for it to be revived. Many Americans have been in a financial slump and have been hoping for their finances to be revived.

The news I'll share with you isn't new. There are people all over the country who have experienced their cash flow being revived. They have been getting new jobs, starting new businesses, receiving inheritances and even making money through their investments such as Real Estate and Stocks and Bonds.

The Cash Flow Revival I'm talking about is among those who had limited choices and were "between a rock and a hard place." These folks were the ones who beyond the shadow of all doubt were not expected to make it through tough times.

So just what did these people discover? They discovered that they didn't have to remain consumers in a consumer driven society. They put themselves right smack dab in the middle of the majority of transactions they and others were making everyday. They discovered that being the middleman on transactions wasn't just reserved for the rich.

Even in a tough economy, cash continues to flow. Where it flows is what makes the difference in our lives. Most often when things are flush for the greater majority, we settle for the trickles that come our direction because the trickles in a good economy look just like a "good flow." Trickles no more! This is what the Cash Flow Revivalists are saying. They have determined that there is no shortage of money, it's just been redirected to those who know how to get it flowing their direction.

Can you imagine money in the hands of those who have Godly purposes on their mind? Can you imagine the number of people they help just because they realize they themselves were just that close to being without? These Cash Flow Revivalists are not all from a particular company or ethnic group. They are spread though out the United States just looking for people to help revive their cash flow situations.

There is a lost group of people who need a Cash Flow Revival and the best thing about it is they don't have to wonder if their situation can be changed for the better. It's the good old adage, "we're looking for people who are looking for us."

Here's something for you to consider. You just might be a Cash Flow Revivalist yourself. If you've been able to redirect the flow of cash that was destined to pass you by, you're a Cash Flow Revivalist. Now go help somebody else discover that they don't have to be trapped in this consumer driven society. Go show those who are looking for a way out the way to financial freedom.

If you're looking for a way out, know that there are people who want to help. Isn't it amazing how life works? The people who can help us show up at the oddest times. Better than that is showing up in the lives of those we can help.

Stay blessed,

Ced Reynolds

Poverty hits the middle class

Most of us know what it is to be broke. Either we have experienced it personally or we know somebody who has been or is broke. Being broke is just a temporary stage in life when a person doesn't have the money they need for a need, want or desire. Poverty is an entirely different animal.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Poverty refers to the condition of not having the means to afford basic human needs such as clean water, nutrition, health care, education, clothing and shelter.[1][2] This is also referred to as absolute poverty or destitution. Relative poverty is the condition of having fewer resources or less income than others within a society or country, or compared to worldwide averages.

Can you imagine good wholesome hardworking middle class people being in a place where they couldn't afford basic human needs? Honestly, for me it's hard to imagine.

Statistics from The World Bank

The current financial turndown has meant a slower rate of poverty reduction. This year, fewer people will leave poverty as a consequence.

Will poverty reach up to the middle class and pull down people who have hit hard times? It's time to wage war on poverty. A group of entrepreneurs in my city have come together with a sensible plan to knock poverty to it's knees. We're looking for those in cities around the nation who want to change their cities by waging war on poverty.

Cash Flow in the New Economy

Starting a blog off with the word "Wow" is generally used to grab the attention of the reader really quick. In the case of this blog, I won't start it off with "Wow" but I do want to get your attention.

Here we go. "Cash Flow is King" is a phrase many of us have heard of. The truth of the matter is that it is king in the lives of those who have it. Those who don't have it just sit around wishing for a little cash to come their direction.

The economy is said to be getting better by some and getting worse by others. We can sit around all day and debate this issue but the reality is it does us no good if at the end of the day cash flow in our lives is like a drip from a faucet. Maybe you're like most people who want a flow of cash in their lives and not just a drip like from a faucet.

Okay Ced, you're just talking loud just like the guys debating if the economy will get better or worse. Don't you have a solution Mr. Ced? Well, I'm glad you asked. I do.

When you look at goods and services and how they get to the end user we have to realize it's been an industry that's made it all possible. Yeah, there are several we could choose from but the one that I'm talking about is "advertising." You see it's advertising that helps us and prompts us to make the decisions we make.

The challenge today is that we have seen so much advertising that we are turning the channel when they show up. We flip the switch to off on our radios or we just lower the volume to not hear the same old commercial again. Here's what you don't know. The advertisers know you're tired of hearing their stale pitches and they have been searching high and low to find a new way for you to buy their goods and services.

I know, I know, you want me to get to the point. I will. But read this first. Advertising is how businesses get us to buy their goods and services. Without it, they would be up the proverbial "creek without a paddle." On the other side of things we would not know how to distinguish what's good and what's not. So we have to conclude advertisers need us and we need them.

Here's the bottom line. When advertisers finally realized that the old adage of "word of mouth advertising is the best form of advertising," the smart ones have begun to put their money into the hands of the ones who spoke highly of their goods and services to their friends, families and associates. We're not talking chump change, we're talking major money.

Here's how it works. Instead of spending money on traditional advertising like billboards, T.V. radio and even the internet, big businesses began looking for organizations with big data bases they could tap into and pay referral fees to these organizations when their constituents bought goods and services.

Now watch this. The deal gets even better. There is one profession that takes what the advertisers were wanting to do to an entirely different level. The advertisers want customers right? Well the profession I'm talking about not only has customers, they have customers who remain loyal for years because of the business model they're connected with. You see this business model pays them month in and month out to use the goods and services they prefer, recommend them to others and sponsor others to use and recommend the same goods and services.

Although the concept is not new, the advertisers do realize they have been running into a brick wall because the old method of advertising was just causing them to swap customers with their competitors every few months. The advertising war has come to the point where it's futile for advertisers to put all their ad budgets in traditional media.

So now imagine this with me. Company "A" comes along and has several hundred thousand loyal customers just waiting to spend their money with a great majority of the advertisers Company "A" recommends. The reason they are so anxious to spend their money is because they know they will be getting paid from Company "A". Here's the deal. Company "A" gets paid royally for every loyal customer they deliver to the advertisers. All the advertisers have done is restructure their ad budget and hold back a portion to pay out only after a loyal customer is acquired.

Corporate America and Network Marketing have finally crossed paths. This new way of doing business is here and is presently helping people all over the world earn money on the goods and services they presently use every month. Not only that they are earning money from recommending the same goods and services to others as well as sponsoring others to do what they do. This is absolute genius.

With all the good I've spoken of,the sad thing is that some people will look at this new way of doing business as a flute and not take it serious. Keep in mind the same thing was said of the stock market when it started, franchises when they started, big box stores when they started and just about every new way of making life more convenient. Can you see how cash flow has changed in our economy?

Alternative Businesses and Services

When we've worked hard we expect to get paid. But when we don't get paid as much, alternative businesses and services start becoming viable options. Why are so many working just as hard or harder and not getting paid nearly as much money as in the past?

Sure there are some folks who have continued to thrive during the economic slow down. But what happens to the ones who just don't seem to "get the breaks?" Sooner or later they either breakthrough or they start looking for other things to do.

Alternative businesses and services such as MLM or Network Marketing are becoming the choice of professionals in Real Estate and other Financial Services. Years ago it was looked at as taboo for professionals to be caught dead doing Network Marketing.

Since the Network Marketing business model has been embraced by Fortune 500 companies and some of the richest men and women in America, professionals from every background have started to take notice. When men like Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki and Warren Buffett started endorsing the profession of Network Marketing, credibility became instant. So consequently business professionals had to stop and take notice.

The game is changing though. Because business professionals are entering Network Marketing, the way Network Marketing is being done is changing. It's no surprise that the profession is getting a long overdue makeover.

This may sound simplistic but professionals have insisted on "more professionalism" if they were expected to recruit their professional friends and associates to join them in Network Marketing. This has actually been a fresh air. Men and women who have been accustomed to making six figures and above could never imagine making that kind of money in Network Marketing.

After nearly 60 years of being in existence, the Network Marketing profession has finally been recognized as a viable business model. It's like a franchise but much less expensive in every way pertaining to business.

Alternative businesses and services are being done in a variety of ways today. But the most intriguing of all the business models being looked at by professionals today is Network Marketing. What has been seen as "extra money" for people is now being seriously looked at as "big money" for professionals

Alternative Business Options

It's absolutely amazing how many people are looking for alternative businesses. The term alternative businesses wasn't nearly as popular 5 years ago as it is today. Workers and business owners alike are looking for alternative ways to maintain and increase their income.

No longer are people relying on one income to get by. There used to be a day when only one person in the household was the bread winner. But when the cost of living began to increase, it took more than one income. Husbands and wives began to both work outside the home.

Today with even husbands and wives working outside the home, alternative business options have become well sought after by hundreds of thousands of people. Where to turn is the question. There are so many opportunities on the internet and who knows which one to choose.

One of the wonderful alternative business options is online advertising. Advertising has taken on a different way of attracting loyal customers. It's called referral advertising or referral marketing. Advertisers have set budgets that will be spent. What some have done is set aside a portion of their advertising budgets to pay for customers brought to them from referral sources.

The good thing about referral sources in the eyes of advertisers is that they don't have to pay any money up front to the referrers. They only pay the referrers when they deliver loyal customers. Here's what's the neat thing about that. The referrers are able to get nice bonuses because the dollars they are paid from the already existing budgets.

Now comes the way to get involved with an alternative business. There is a company that sits right in the middle of this new way of gathering new customers. You can participate for a very small annual fee. You can earn upwards of thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. There is a 9 year old company that has marketing relationships with many Fortune 500 companies and have a structure in place to pay average ordinary people to become the middleman on their own transactions and the transactions of others.

Get more information for yourself by contacting Ced Reynolds @ (909) 597-3502 or emailing ced_reynolds@yahoo.com

Ministry and and entrepreneurialism is coming to the forefront in churches across the country. Where do you fit in?

It's been a joy to be an Entrepreneurial Pastor for the last 15 years right here in Chino, CA. It's sad that I never gave it a thought that there were other entrepreneurs who also had a passion for ministry.

In the last several months a group of nearly 300 people have gathered together in a group called the Entrepreneurial Ministers Network on Facebook. This was all the proof I needed to know that there were others who were desiring to find out where they fit in the body of Christ.

Interviews and conversations have been had. Now it's time to conduct some serious training on Entrepreneurial Ministry.

The Elephant in the Church

You've probably heard the quote,"the elephant in the room." Well there is an elephant in our churches and it's called "Network Marketing." The question is how should we address it?

It seems like every year I get somebody calling me regarding some new fabulous Network Marketing company. They talk about all the benefits it will have for our church. They talk about how it will raise funds for the church and they talk about how I can be the biggest beneficiary. Now don't get me wrong, I actually think Network Marketing is a viable profession and I think there is some truth to what the people say to me who want me to join their Network Marketing company.

Here's a challenge I face. What if..., just what if somebody in our congregation is in another Network Marketing company and they just haven't approached me? Get this. What if they were with the same company as this unknown person pitching me on their opportunity? This could open up a can of worms that could lead to a lot of chaos.

Now let me share a few of my thoughts about the "elephant in our church."

1. I am not amazed of the number of people who have at least dabbled with Network Marketing in our church over the years and still do. My prayer them is to be bold about their opportunity just like they would about any other business they would be involved with.

2. I've even taught a special class on"Networking God's Way" for business owners. The goal was to give Biblical instruction about how Jesus built the biggest network in the world and how they could use networking as a tool to evangelize the world.

3. I openly welcome people to talk to me about their Network Marketing business. It gives me an opportunity to minister to them and help them discover God's purpose for using them in business.

4. I don't mind Network Marketers approaching congregation members. It gives the opportunity for iron to sharpen iron...lol.

5. I am an "Entrepreneurial Pastor" and I am also a Network Marketer. The only person I've ever sponsored in our church is my son. I am very open about my business to those who inquire but I don't seek to promote it to our congregants. It would be a rare congregant I would consider being involved with as their pastor and their business partner.

In closing let me say that as the economy has slumped, people are praying for God to give them a way to increase their financial situations. They are not so sure even if their present job/career situation is stable. They are not sure what companies they should consider approaching. Some people think about starting a business but they lack the thousands of dollars to get started.

The elephant in our churches is not going away. Network Marketing is moving more and more to the main stream. People from all segments of society are involved from high dollar executives to laborers. They are the same people in our churches. The reality is that people are considering various options and Network Marketing has become one of those options. My belief is that in appropriate situations, just like we would refer a member to a "job" we know about, it would be okay to refer member looking for a business opportunity to a Network Marketer.

We have a unique opportunity to be a great blessing to our congregants when we look to help them in ways beyond their spiritual growth. If pastors or their delegated leaders take the time to learn the truth about Network Marketing, the "elephant our churches" will no longer be a "side bar issue" in our churches.

Stay blessed,

Ced Reynolds, Entrepreneurial Pastor
Network Marketing Professional

Re: Blogging, don't believe what you don't see

Blogging is kind of interesting. Have you ever thought of the number of people who actually look at your blog and don't make comments? Believe me they do exist. They do see it and many of them do read your blog. Just because you are not getting as many comments as you would like, know that you've got readers.

You would be amazed how the same blog in different networks get totally different responses. I've blogged here in this network and gotten "no" responses and I've used the same blog in different networks and got overwhelming responses. (Notice I didn't name any networks...lol). That's to give you a chance to respond to this blog.

Seriously, I want to encourage you to continue to blog. Another key is to comment on the blogs of interest to you. We bloggers tend to return the favor when a fellow blogger makes a comment on our blog. In fact, a lot of new friendships are created and believe it or not sometimes new business comes from just being nice to another blogger.

In closing, just because you don't see comments on your blog doesn't mean you don't have readers.

Keep on blogging,

Audio Marketing Secrets

Using audio in your marketing campaign can mean the difference between night and day. Working on the internet is a wonderful tool but it has limited emotional connection unless you're a wonderful writer. The best of writers can do well without audio but us who just write OK can use all the help we can get.

I know many people talk about video being better than audio. In my opinion video is a little bit more complicated because you have to prepare to be seen and heard vs. just preparing to be heard on audio. I've done both and actually do both. But the media I prefer which is much faster to prepare for and also get others to participate with me is audio.

Let's get back to the benefits of using audio.

1. Audio can bring an emotional connection with your audience that gives them a sense of who you are.

2. Audio allows you to tell your story in your own words to those who prefer hearing a voice rather than reading.

3. Audio gives your clients another option to better understand what you are communicating.

4. Audio along with the written word reinforces what you intend to communicate.

5. Audio adds a little flare to your presentation.

6. Audio sets you apart from your competitors.

7. Audio gives you a professional advantage.

8. Audio says to your clients that you care enough to go the extra mile.

9. Audio intrigues your client because it's different.

10. Audio helps you learn your craft because you want to impress those who listen.

There are lots of fun things you can do with audio. I use it because it's quick to set up and it gives me an upfront advantage when I'm trying to connect with first time readers of my blog. Hope you received something of value here.

Stay after it,

Marketing Secrets

When it comes to marketing secrets, it seems like everybody has a few. But are there really any marketing secrets? I think not. It's a matter of doing small things over and over again until a "magic number" appears. That magic number is our ratio. You see we all develop ratios over time. One of the keys is to keep doing the right things over and over so that a genuine ratio develops. Otherwise we have to start over again and again.

It really does pay to stay in the game. Take a listen to my secrets of marketing....LOL

Modest Income Earners

If you have a modest lifestyle, this may not apply to you.

Just heard a credible man talk about his journey to $4,000,000 a year income after starting at $38,000 as a Football coach. He came to his CPA after he received his 1099 for his 3rd year in his business. It was for $243,000. What struck him was he felt like he hadn't really accomplished anything. His CPA said, "I do the taxes of lots of people and the one thing I noticed is that those who make less than $30,000 per month are really living paycheck to paycheck."

Of course after hearing this testimony, I began to think, he may have something here. Here's what got my attention. The gentleman who indicated he felt like he hadn't accomplished anything asked several questions.

1. Have you paid off all your credit cards?
2. Have you paid off your automobiles?
3. Have you paid off your home?
4. Have you put enough money away to retire and live the lifestyle you want?
5. Have you put enough money away to pay for your kids education?
6. Have you put enough money away to handle unforeseen emergencies?

I had to answer no to all of these questions. Granted, I do know a few people who have no debt, yet, in my opinion they live pretty meagerly. The average person has debt up to their ears. No matter how many raises they get things don't seem to get better. They move from $5,000 to $10,000 to $15,000 a month. The thing that changes the most is that they are finally able to afford the necessities they haven't been able to afford. Things like the savings, investments, the right insurances, roofs on their homes, automobile repairs, education for their children, vacations they've put off for years, repairs/upgrades on their homes, even the right food and right nutrition and the list goes on. This doesn't include emergencies. I'm talking just about the basic necessities a family needs to live without financial stress and denial.

I've seen my income increase dramatically over the years and noticed that the new expenses are for services I've always needed but just haven't been able to afford until now. I'm truly looking forward to getting to the place where my income covers not only the necessities of life but also the emergencies that pop up from time to time.

Think about the things you put off because of lack of income.

Answering the what if question

The question of what if comes ups more times than we would probably like to think about. Do you toss and turn wondering what will happen in life? Do you wonder if or not you'll be able to make it until you're next pay check? What if you don't...but what if you do? The question, "what if" comes up in all of our lives from time to time. One of the main keys is knowing that with faith all things are possible. I've taken a few minutes to post the video below to give you an idea of how I handle the "what if" question in my business and ministry.

Take the next several minutes to watch this video and I hope you get something special out of it.

Kidz-n-Biz Gives Realtors Rewards

Hello Friends,

Although the Kidz-n-Biz Project is free for children, we still raise funds to help towards the prizes we offer during the project and towards the grand prizes at the end of the project.

One of the ways we raise funds is through an online rewards mall I own. It's pretty similar to other malls you see online except we provide a way for the shoppers to earn rewards points and consider the option of contributing their rewards points to Kidz-n-Biz.

I want to encourage you to take a look. There is no cost to join and you only buy the items you would normally buy at the same merchants you normally buy from. The only difference is that now you will be able to help the Kidz-n-Biz project.

Thanks for consideration,

Pastor Ced
Entrepreneurial Pastor

After you sign up, it's pretty simple.

1. Buy what you would normally buy online

2. Receive reward points (each pt = $1.00)

3. Convert rewards points to dollars

4. Contribute to Kidz-n-Biz via CentrePoint Christian Fellowship.

How Kidz made a difference in my business

Last summer I found an army of motivated referral agents. They were just sitting around before I met them. Then all of a sudden they mobilized into my personal referral agent army. I call it my "PRAA."

You won't believe this. Last summer I had kids literally hounding their parents, relatives and their friends parents to refer their friends and business associates to me. If you've read any of my other blogs before you know I'm the founder of the Kidz-n-Biz Project. The project has some pretty hefty cash prizes for kids who do well. Because of my commitment to donate 50% of my profit to the Kidz-nBiz project for every referral they generated, the kids were like I said, "literally hounding their parents, relatives and their friends parents to refer their friends and business associtates to me."

I never thought kids could be so competitive! I don't even know how they even talked with their parents and other people about my service. But somehow they got them to go to the Kidz-n-Biz Blog and from there people were contacting me. This was really something. I don't know if it was a fluke or this will carry on again this summer but last year I just ate it up.

Who would have ever thought kids would or could become referral agents. For years I've had fairly good success getting referrals from adults but it's nothing compared to what happened with these kids. I think the fact that they understood there was something in it for them was partly the reason they were so motivated. If there were no cash prizes in the project perhaps they wouldn't even cared about telling people about me.

I'm not sure how this will pan out this summer is over but I was just pleased as punch with the referrals I got and the new business that came my way. In the end the Kidz-n-Biz Project, the kids, my new clients and I benefit.
This was definitely a win, win, win, win deal.

Kidz-n-Biz getting ready for summer 2009

The 2009 Kidz-n-Biz Project starts Wednesday July 8, 2009

Who would have ever thought that kids would have their own mall. Well it's sort of a mall. This summer kids from 3rd - 9th grade are being trained on how to do business. There is an outdoor classroom setting for 8 weeks and the application of what the kids learn in class will be put into practice in the court yard of Papa Chinos Grill and Greens located at 14501 Ramona Avenue Chino, CA, hence the Kidz-n-Biz Mall.

Some of last years businesses represented offered homemade doggy treats, handmade jewelery, shaved ice, popcorn and there was even an author among the kidz who was working on publishing his own book. In 2008 there were 18 kidz in the project who participated as business owners or team members. Each business owner and their teams promoted their businesses on their own and tried to get as many people to show up at the mall each week as possible. For each person who showed up with a certain invitation ticket or flyer with a particular kid'z name on it, the business owner received 100 points. This year the same 100 points will apply for those who show up at the mall. It's the malls way of generating traffic for the Kidz-n-Biz Owners.

Although the Kidz-n-Biz project starts Wednesday July 8th, the Kidz-n-Biz Mall Opens Wednesday July 22, 2009. It will be open from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Local residents are encouraged to attend.

The project also has some great incentives for the kidz. During the 8 weeks the participating kidz will be receiving points for various activities and the Grand prize winner will receive $500, the second place winner will receive $300 and the third place winner will receive $200.

One of the ways the project is raising funds is receiving donations for Kidz-n-Biz T-shirts. Suggested Donation is $10.00 per T-Shirt. Local business owners are also contributing in kind gifts and cash. Sponsors are still being sought for all size donations.

Benefits Selling - great article for Brokers

Excerpt from Benefits Selling:

Legal plans to the rescue
By Jim Barone | Published May 1, 2009 From the May 2009 Issue

The headlines tell a story of gloom and doom as the world faces one of the greatest financial challenges since the 1930s. We’ve all read the news. Giants of commerce seem to be teetering. Many organizations — large and small — now find themselves between a rock (lower sales) and a hard place (business costs).

Everywhere, people are feeling the pinch. From Wall Street to Main Street, people are worried about jobs, benefits and financial security — the future. Yet, economists, historians, and grandparents who lived through the Great Depression remind us that society has survived and overcome financial difficulties.

Brokers who offer legal plans are able to stand out from the crowd with a unique and valuable product offering that is gaining widespread acceptance. According to the Society of Human Resources Management, legal services have been one of the fastest growing voluntary benefits, averaging more than 20 percent annually for the past several years.

The growth of legal services can be attributed, in part, to the dual advantages. For employers, legal represents a cost-effective voluntary benefit and a strategic business asset that can affect the business bottom line by helping reduce employee stress, absenteeism and presenteeism, which can, in turn, promote higher productivity, job performance and employee morale.

Prepaid vs. Postpaid Services

I have never really given too much thought to the things I prepay for vs. postpaying for them. Just wanted to share some thoughts about how I have come to the conclusion that's a good thing to prepay for some services.

I prepay for my medical coverage - It's a good thing because I sure would be hard pressed to have to postpay for the services provided by my doctor, especially any kind of surgery.

I prepay for my automobile coverage - It's a good thing because I have been in accidents that would have caused me to file bankruptcy if I wasn't covererd.

I prepay for my automobile warranty - It's a good thing because if I have a transmission problem with my new car, I won't have to come out of pocket thousands of dollars.

I prepay for my life insurance coverage - It's a good thing becuase if I should die prematurely, my family will not have to change their lifestyle just becuase my income is lost.

I prepay for my homeowners coverage - It's a good thing because if my home were to burn down and my property was destroyed it would be virtually impossible to postpay to replace it.

I prepay for my life events legal plan - It's a good thing because in this sue happy culture we live in, our family would be wiped out financially. In addition to that I would rather prepay for the ability to have legal consultation that postpay hundreds of dollars per hour.

I prepay for my identity theft coverage - It's a good thing because if my identity is compromised, I don't have the expertise nor the 600 hours it typically takes to get it restored. Secondly My identity is is my most valuable possession.

All in all prepaying for services is a way to save money and have the quality of services that are necessary in our busy lives. I would venture to say that none of us would prefer to postpay for services when we can pay a significantly lowerer monthly premium to have the same services.

Love to hear your thoughts.

Ced Reynolds, CITRMS

Imagine this..."you, the only Realtor in town"

Imagine if you were the only Realtor in town. Do you think you would be at an advantage. Of course you would. There would be nobody else to turn to for professional Real Estate services. Well, the fact of the matter is that you will most likely never be the only Realtor in town or even the only Realtor in the office you work in now.

Somebody reading this is saying, why would I bring such a ludicrous image up in the first place. Well first of all I just wanted to get your attention and secondly I wanted you to investigate the possibility of branding yourself in such a way that people think of you before they think of anybody else.

I connect with a few Realtors from time to time who think that the Realtors who have money to market themselves are just so far ahead of them that it's a waste of time marketing to get known. So they just do minimal marketing in their respective farms.

I'm here to tell you that even if you don't have any money, you can become a name that will be in the minds of people in the area you serve. How so you ask. This is where I will tell you my story.

Most of you who read my blog know I'm not a Realtor. I market a Business Solutions Legal Plan for small business owners. The following is what I have done to make myself known in the area I serve is working offline and online. What I have found is that many of the people I connect with offline, have no clue about online marketing. So to get them thinking about me i offer them resources to get themselves noticed online. As far as my offline activity I frequent non-competing networking groups where I not only get an opportunity to give my 60 second commercial but I get to schedule one on one sit downs with the key members of the groups. My effort with each of these key members is to get them to introduce me to other members of their groups. It's like a viral effect offline. I use the phone just to call and say hello to my new contacts. I then send thank you emails which give my new contacts the opportunity to subscribe to my newsletter. By the time 48 hours have passed, most of the people I meet for the first time receive a phone call from me, an email, have the opportunity to subscribe to my newsletter, a free resource and sometimes I even introduce them to an associate who might just be looking for what they offer.

CedReynolds.com is how I brand myself. My business cards only have CedReynolds.com on them and nothing else.

When I'm out and about I'm always looking for business cards. When I pick up a business card I enter it into my data base and send a quick note indicating, "I just picked up your business card..." It's a double opt-in email program where only the curious opt-in. These new contacts start receiving an a weekly auto-responder message where I invite them to tell me more about them so I can be a referral source for them. When they respond I generally am able to assess how I might be able to help them and let them know that because they are part of my network, I may be able to introduce them to people who are looking for what they offer.

CedReynolds.com is not only known in our community it is know online as well. By the way CedReynolds.com is stylishly embossed on my vehicle. I get calls from time to time as people are behind me or on the side of me while I'm driving who are just curious about CedReynolds.com.

Getting back to the online presence. It's taken years of learning SEO, social networking and email marketing to develop a presence that sticks out from those in my field. The one thing I have noticed is that over the years I have built relationships with people who were not sure about me initially but after a couple of years some have even become my clients and some of my best referral sources.

I liken working online to working offline. People want to know real live people who can do what they say they can do. Just like offline if we blow it with a client, we rarely get a second chance, the same holds true online.

Let me tell you this before I close. There is no magic to branding yourself. It takes consistent continuous work. It takes belief. It takes learning the right things to do. It takes being flexible when things are not working. It takes being committed for the long haul. It takes being really passionate about what you offer. It takes a genuine care for the people you desire to serve. It takes being willing to help others before they help you. All in all it takes a lot brand yourself as the person to contact for your offering.

Just felt compelled to share this piece to encourage you that the person people are looking for is "YOU INC."

Stay in the game,

Building My Agency With B.U.I.L.D.

Businesses United In Lead Development is a group that I just recently joined that has been awesome in helping to build my agency.

* One on One meetings with other fellow business owners has been the key to getting the members of B.U.I.L.D. to become great referral agents.

* Exclusivity of being the only agent offering business legal plans and identity theft coverage has been a great way standing out in the minds of the B.U.I.L.D. members.

* Consistently being thought of as the B.U.I.L.D. "legal plan guy" is worth it.

The greatest thing about B.U.I.L.D. is there is no fee to be part of the group. Referring leads is what this group is all about. It's absolutely amazing how the members of our group have been more than willing to refer leads to one another. There isn't a week that goes by that there aren't referrals.

It's been a long time since I've been as pleased as I am with a networking group. Most of the groups I've been apart of have been social hours with very little lead generation.

If you're looking to build your agency, consider starting a group similar to B.U.I.L.D. Although I am not the leader of this group, it has been quite beneficial for my business.

I've seen many "free networking groups" fail because they were free. Something happened with this group from the very beginning that caused a synergy among the members of B.U.I.L.D. I love it.

May 1, 2009 enforcement of FTC 'Red Flags' Rule

November 1, 2008 was the enforcement date for businesses who deal with the non-public information of clients. Thankfully for a lot of businesses that were unaware, the six month extension (until May 1, 2009) has been a big help for them to learn what they needed to do to comply with the FTC 'Red Flags' Rule. What the FTC is requiring from businesses in certain categories is to develop and implement a written identity theft prevention program.

The Rule applies to creditors and financial institutions. Federal law defines a creditor to be: any entity that regularly extends, renews, or continues credit; any entity that regularly arranges for the extension, renewal, or continuation of credit; or any assignee of an original creditor who is involved in the decision to extend, renew, or continue credit.

Some examples of creditors are finance companies, automobile dealers, mortgage brokers, utility companies, telecommunications companies, and non-profit and government entities that defer payment for goods or services. Financial institutions include entities that offer accounts that enable consumers to write checks or to make payments to third parties through other means, such as other negotiable instruments or telephone transfers.

Is your business at risk? If so have one of our ADRS certified representatives give you a free review and find out how you can get your business compliant with the FTC. We cover North America.

Take a moment to read the Enforcement Policy Statement

Some things are just not worth doing on your own. In today's Topsy Turvy world we just don't have time to try and be a "know it all". Just recently our attorney network was surveyed and the results of the top 11 concerns of our members would amaze you. These folks are getting help in areas that only qualified attorney's should be handling.

Take a look at the top 11 concerns:

• Consultation on and review of severance packages including how to negotiate a
better package
• Mortgage consultation including loan modification, foreclosure, work-outs,
refinancing and short sells
• Explanation of the Hope for Homeowners Act
• Credit and asset protection
• Credit card liability resolution
• How to return items such as automobiles and end the associated loan(s)
• Landlord/tenant issues including evictions
• Bankruptcies - Chapter 7, 11 and 13
• Lawsuits filed by aggressive collection agencies
• Child support payment enforcement
• Employment issues, especially relating to 401k’s

How many of your clients have any of these concerns?

With the cost of attorneys being so outrageous, it's no wonder so many people are reconsidering owning a prepaid legal membership. Justice can finally be for all at a price the average citizen can afford. Prepaying for legal services has become just as common as prepaying for our insurances.

The Value of knowing a CITRMS

My New designation as a CITRMS (Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist) affords me the opportunity to speak to issues pertaining to identity theft in the workplace and how it effects the lives of your clients. as I speak with business owners everyday they are more and more aware that their businesses are in danger because of the massive amounts of non-public information they store on their customers. Their biggest challenge is that their employees don't quite value their business the same way. What I mean is that business owners realize that if any of their customers identity is breached and the initiation of the breach leads back to them, the consequences could cost them dearly.

Rather it's the employee or the business owner, identity theft can cause a nightmare in a person's life. Just imagine someone purchasing a home in your name? Just imagine someone taking out a loan in one of your client's names? Just imagine being the person who sold the home or the person who originated the loan? These are troubling things to think about.

While identity theft can't be stopped there are a few things that people out to be aware of. Our credit identity is not the only identity thieves want. There are actually five areas of identity theft and credit is near the bottom of the list believe it or not.

Here are the five areas of identity theft:

1. Driver's License Identity
2. Social Security Identity
3. Character/Criminal Identity
4. Medical Identity
5. Credit Identity

As you can see any when any of these areas are breached there is not just a chance a person will have challenges. The reality is that we are identified with the numbers all of these areas of identity have. It's not how we look or who identifies us as who we say we are. These forms of identity are our proof that we are who we say we are. If another person has your identity, they can in fact prove they are are you (at least for a while). Although we can get our identity restored, the problems from the time you discover it's been breached to the time it's restored (about 600 man hours later) can be unreal.
Most people realize that identity theft can no more be stopped just as burglary can't be stopped. But just like the installation of an alarm can curtail burglars, so can identity theft coverage curtail identity thieves. The only difference here is, although you might get your items replaced after you have been burglarized, you don't want a replacement identity, you want your identity. Our identity is really all we truly have. Stuff can be bought again if it's broken or stolen. But our identity is ours until we die and even after we die.

The answer to the challenge of identity theft is not easy but it is one that is being studied by our government, researchers and colleges and universities. But what do you and your clients do in the mean time? Just like you got the alarm, get identity theft coverage. The key is getting coverage that provides daily monitoring of the five areas of identity theft and restoration of your identity if it's breached.

Ced Reynolds

FSBO - Friendly Seller, Bring Offers

FSBO could mean "Friendly Seller, Bring Offers" The truth of the matter is that anybody looking to sell is looking for the best offer they can get. If you have an offer that makes sense (and dollars), maybe you should consider contacting FSBO's.

I'm not a Realtor but I do contact FSBO's. I find them rather interesting because most of the ones I've contacted really have a sense of the basic logistics of selling a home. Perhaps because they have been through the sales transaction process a few times they feel confident that they can handle the details with the help of the right professionals.

When I come along, I simply offer them "crucial assistance" that they thank me for because it helps them save money and headaches pertaining to the legalities of selling their home. Getting all their documents and contracts reviewed is something that many people just don't consider so they end up paying an attorney a few hundred bucks here and there and that really adds up. The service of an attorney is important rather people sell their homes themselves or they use a reputable Realtor.

What if you took the time to connect with FSBO's by not only bringing them good offers but just point them in the direction of a good attorney to help avoid spending tons of money and avoid spending sleepless nights worrying about their Real Estate transaction.

These days people are not only concerned about saving money but also how not to lose money. We can be there as professionals to help them help themselves. We have to remember we sometimes have to serve our clients even before they become our clients.

I hope this blog has served you with a nugget or two as you talk with FSBO's. Please keep me in mind as you connect with FSBO's. I offer an affordable legal service that can help you help FSBO's and your other clients. Keep in mind that working with FSBO's could be your best source of referrals.

FSBO's could lead to your best referrals

It is no surprise that there are tons of people who feel as though they can sell their home on their own and they don't need a professional Realtor. Sure there are some people who have been able to do it. My question is, if when using a Realtor there are things that pop up, how much more will things pop up that a FSBO won't have a clue how to handle?

Years ago when I was in the moving business I would stop by FSBO's and talk with them about the pros and cons of moving their own furniture. Most of them had no clue that having a moving company move their furniture had so many great benefits and the cost in a lot of cases was far lower than they estimated. My point is FSBO's need help but we have to have a way to offer it to them without them feeling as though we're looking to take advantage of them.

Today as I am in the business of offering legal plans, I approach FSBO's with a simple question. All I ask them is, "how will you handle the legalities of selling your home?" Many of them just think they can get all the info they need by talking to Realtors or relying on what they observed from a previous Real Estate transaction. I ask them, "do you have an attorney review offers you receive?" These are just a couple of vital things that I bring to the attention of FSBO's.

Something great about the people who really pay attention is that they ask questions that allow me to help them obtain the legal consultation they need and save paying between $150 - $400 per hour Think about it. Wouldn't it be a good thing to offer a FSBO the help they need to show them you really are there to help them. They may or may not list with you but them might consider paying you a commission if you bring them a buyer. All this might be a consideration just because you chose to help them do what they believed was the right thing to do (sell their own home).

Can you find a way to help a FSBO that will let them know you want to genuinely want to help them without them leaving them the impression that you're trying to trick them to list with you? Believe it or not, people remember how they are treated. If we treat people with dignity and respect their plans they will remember us in a favorable way. Our goodness just might end up helping us get a referral or two just for helping a FSBO in a small way.

Stay in the game and play to win, but always remember to keep your helping hat on.
