The newborn twins are the third and fourth child for Presley. She has daughter Danielle Riley, 19, and son Benjamin Storm, nearly 16, from her first marriage.

Presley won an apology from British tabloid Daily Mail for calling her fat and comparing her to her late father before his early demise based on photos that came out in March. Presley likened the tabloids’ attack on her weight to coyotes circling their prey, and announced in response that she was pregnant. She then sued the Daily Mail, which apologized and removed the article. It is unknown if she received a settlement.

Either way, twins are the best excuse for weight gain there is.

Just Jared points out that it’s directed by Joseph Kahn, who also did Britney’s “Stronger” and “Toxic” videos and is responsible for the VMA award winning “When I Grow Up” video for the Pussycat Dolls.

Britney has called Womanizer “a girl anthem” and said “It’s basically saying, ‘We know what you’re up to.’ It’s about guys cheating on girls.”

After “High School Musical 3: Senior Year”, Hollywood newest hunk Zac Efron is likely to step into another musical role. Words are circulating in the media that “Senior Year” director Kenny Ortega wants the 20-year-old to take the lead role of the modern version of “Footloose”, insisting that Efron would be “perfect” for the role.

Revealing his desire to re-team with his Troy Bolton’s depicter, Ortega told BBC, “I think he’d be the perfect, perfect, perfect candidate to step in. I mean he’s got this global excitement, this wonderful know-how.” Further hinting that Efron may take the role once belonging to Kevin Bacon, the filmmaker then added, “He’s the perfect age, so versatile, and talented and dynamic. You know it’s hard for me to even imagine anybody that I think would be more perfectly suited.”

I don’t have an issue with the casting.  When it comes to musicals for the younger set, Efron certainly seems the go-to guy of the moment.  He has the right look, and could, on his own, probably make the movie a hit.  Even Suri Cruise is rumored to have a crush on Zac Efron.  Efron is very into being the Ren for a new generation, and in keeping musicals alive in general, and I’m all for that.

About the possible part in “Footloose” remake, the Nikki Blonsky’s co-star in “Hairspray” commented, “I’ll always be open to more musicals. I think they’re fun and I think it’s our responsibility as performers to try and keep them alive. I love Footloose - it’s a great movie.”

I’m not excited, however, about the trend of remaking movies that were hits only 20 years ago.  I’m equally unimpressed with Footloose going the way of High School Musical.  As far as movies go, Footloose would probably translate to the musical format well, it was a Broadway musical that was successful.  But there’s a huge musical leap between, say, Chicago and High School Musical 1, 2 or 3.  One is genuine musical genre, the other is kids bouncing around singing adsurd lyrics to unfortunate tunes.  It has it’s place, but that place is the Disney channel, and needs to be kept away from classic teen movies of the 80’s. 

Stay away from The Breakfast Club, Hollywood, I’m warning you.

Note by Celebitchy: Zac recently admitted that he’s been approached to take over for Daniel Radcliffe in the Broadway production of Equus. This would mean that Efron would have to get fully nude on stage, too.

The ‘So What’ singer - who split from her husband Carey Hart earlier this year - has had flings with women in the past, but would never completely give up men.

I wasn’t all that familiar with Ted Nugent before seeing one of his television hunting shows a few years ago. I had certainly heard his music but had never been introduced to the guy’s personality or views of the world. I couldn’t change the channel, he’s mesmerizing. I can’t say I take a word he says seriously, it’s all just so over the top, but the entertainment level is through the roof. His 2003 competition reality show on VH1, Surviving Nugent, only ran for one season. What? You mean you couldn’t get people to sign up a second time for this?

The Nuge doesn’t actually intend to run for President, as wildly crazy as he may be, he’s smart enough to know better than that, but it won’t stop him from running for lesser office. As conservative Republican as Nugent may be, I doubt his image resounds with the core base of the party and anyone left of far-right would scoff at his platforms. But he’s certainly entertaining, with or without a guitar.

I knew the qualifications for being Hugh Hefner’s girlfriend were pretty specific. You’ve got to be a certain cup size, a certain band, certain waist size, and your I.Q. can be no higher than 100. While those seem pretty strict, I didn’t realize they are literally the ONLY requirements to be Hef’s girl. Turns out your face can look more like your ass and you can have multiple assault arrests on your record and you’re still a-o.k. So basically there is a beauty from the neck down rule, but no sanity rule. Your head doesn’t count at all.

Lucky for 19-year-old twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon. They’ve given the beat down to others, to each other, and I’m guessing someday to Kendra and whoever else dares to stay in the Playboy mansion. I seriously hope they lock the grotto at night.

Karissa also beat the crap out of Kristina two months before the above assault. She kicked Kristina in the face, which really isn’t all that surprising. Though both girls are supreme butterfaces, Karissa looks distinctly uglier than Kristina. I think she was just trying to even stuff out.

Hugh Hefner’s new twin GFs don’t just beat the living crap out of other people — they also kick the s**t out of each other.

We’ve learned Karissa Shannon was arrested just two months before she and sis Kristina were pinched for aggravated battery back in January. In this case, however, she was popped for kicking her own twin sister in the face. Lovely.

Here’s the blow-by-blow, according to the charge report: When cops showed up, Kristina was lying on the ground outside their apartment “wearing only blue jean pants” and “bleeding from her nose,” while Karissa was standing over Kristina asking who had done this, “as if she had no idea what had happened.”

Best part: a neighbor said he witnessed the one twin kicking the other twin in the face, though “he could not identify which sister was which.” Karissa eventually fessed up.

I seriously hope Hef has 24-hour security around him. There is no way I would trust these girls. They’re 19. He’s 83. They’re evil/crazy and will beat down someone they used to share a womb with. As for who she’s voting for she hasn’t officially endorsed anyone yet but she does have words of praise for Obama and says he would be great for her family. Angelina has refused to endorse a candidate in the past and while many thought she would back Obama she said she was reserving judgment. There was some mild speculation that she might favor McCain due to the fact that she has guns in the house and might look for a candidate who supports gun ownership. (Here is Obama’s position on gun ownership for those of you who are concerned about that issue.)

Angelina said in mid August “I am waiting to see the commitments [the candidates] will make on issues like international justice, refugees and how to address the needs of children in crisis around the world.”

It looks like Angelina was impressed with Obama’s positions on the causes that are important to her, as she told Vanity Fair that she appreciated his stance on the issues of international justice and genocide. She stopped short of saying who she was voting for though:

“Obama is fighting for international justice, he wants to intervene militarily in genocides abroad, and he wants to close down Guantanamo Bay. They are things which could move me to vote for him, not his roots. Of course, an American president like Barack Obama would be great for my family.”

But that isn’t “reason enough to vote for him.”

On being American:
“I am very proud of being American, and all my children have got American passports.

“For me, our family is just what America is - a melting pot, a mixture of many different races and nations,” she says. “My children should be proud of their Asian and African roots, but that in no way means [is] a lack of respect for the fact that they and their parents are Americans.”

The Huffington Post has more of Angelina’s interview and it sounds like some her words were lost in translation.

On having twins:
“It’s a damned arduous business, and we are often simply whacked out because it is twice as hard with two babies as with one.

“But it also makes for double the fun. After we flew back from Europe, we were all suffering a bit from jetlag. We were all in bed early, but at half past four, they were awake and making a real racket.

“Brad took care of them. He said to me, ‘Go back to sleep, you’re back to work in the morning,’ and moved into the kids’ room with them. He is an astounding father, full of devotion.

“Every three hours they get hungry, then I have to satisfy them. But that’s OK, the two of them are totally sweet.

That’s really sweet about the twins being so interested and in tune with each other. It sounds like Angelina is doing a lot of interviews but it also seems like the few that she does do get excerpted and repeated so much it’s hard to tell that a lot of her quotes are coming from the same source. There are also instances where she only says one or two minor things and it gets blown into a whole story like the Life and Style “How We Make it Work!” cover story. She does have a movie to promote.

I guess Roseanne Barr has to eat her words now.

In other SNL news, this year’s election has been such a huge boost for ratings, NBC has granted the show additional programming on other nights, too. Last night’s election special, on NBC’s coveted Thursday night lineup, drew good ratings and word is, there may be more prime time specials as we get closer to the election. If anyone caught the show last night, the best part was this send-up of this week’s town hall-style debate.

At any rate, last night’s 30-minute “SNL” seemed to have 90 minutes of sure-fire comedy crammed into it, the regulars drawing energy from their own luster. The debate spoof featured Fred Armisen as Obama, delivering answers in a dispassionate, monotonous singsong staccato, and Hammond as McCain, flashing abrupt and inappropriate grins, boasting obsessively about his maverick status in the Republican Party, and referring to Obama with such demeaning terms as “this character here,” “Junior over there” and “pee-pants over here.”

Those phrases were inspired by McCain’s strange use of “that one” to refer to Obama at one point in Tuesday night’s “town-hall” debate appearance.

Former “SNL” cast member Chris Parnell returned to do his impeccable impedimentary impression of NBC anchor emeritus Tom Brokaw — who, as in the real debate, was insatiably fixated on time limits for candidate answers as if this were a sacred charge he must dispatch with religious fidelity. Armisen’s Obama or Hammond’s McCain would start to answer a question and Parnell as Brokaw would shout, “Your time is up!” — interrupting them and hurrying on to the next question.

When Daryl Hammond as John McCain referred to Obama as “Pee-pants,” I laughed so hard I woke up the kids. That was damn funny. Let’s hope the SNL writers come up with something equally as hilarious for Palin to do.

Even though he has yet to be sentenced and sent to the prison where he will serve his time, O.J. Simpson is already a marked man. The National Enquirer has interviewed legal insiders that said O.J. is going to have an extremely rough time and should expect to spend a good deal of it in solitary confinement – not out of punishment but for his own safety. The effect is still nearly the same though.

Members of the Aryan Warriors have already threatened Simpson’s life. They’re an enormous and very powerful gang throughout the prison system. The Enquirer also claims Simpson is suicidal and under constant surveillance. His situation certainly sounds grim. It seems like either he’s a dead man because of someone else of by his own hands.

“I’m a dead man!” the disgraced gridiron great declared when he phoned pals shortly after his conviction. Even as he sat in his dank Las Vegas jail cell just hours after jurors found him guilty of armed robbery and kidnapping, guards worried he would be marked for death. For his own safety, he was put in an isolation cell dubbed “the hole” by prisoners.

“He’s scared to death - so much so that he won’t eat, and he has been given medication for depression,” disclosed a source. Simpson has plummeted to such depths of despair, revealed an insider, “he was put on suicide watch. Someone is watching him nearly every minute in case he tries to strangle himself with whatever he can find in his cell.”

“O.J. has two major things working against him as he heads to prison - he killed two white people and he’s a celebrity,” a Nevada prison system insider told the Enquirer. “He’s a target for the Aryan Warriors, a very powerful and deadly prison gang whose members want to finally deliver O.J. fatal justice. They’re waiting for him to arrive - it’s going to be like tossing meat to the wolves. He’ll be dead within weeks.”

Simpson being on antidepressants isn’t that unusual. I have a friend who’s a social worker in the mental health unit of an L.A. prison and she said almost everyone in the entire system is on at least anti-depressants just to get through the experience.

It definitely sounds like O.J.’s life is clearly in danger. Being a celebrity is always super dangerous in prison. I cannot even imagine what would have happened to Michael Jackson had he been convicted. O.J. definitely has a rocky road ahead of him.

The pessimistic part of me thinks he’ll probably end up serving such a small amount of real time that it won’t matter. But no matter what, he’s sure going to cost the state of Las Vegas a lot of money between all the extra security he’s going to require. If nothing else, he deserves to do his time. I’ve always thought a long prison sentence would be much harder than death.
