Well now that the hamburger, hot dog, and apple pie eating holiday known as the 4th is over and done with, I truly need to buckle down my lil weight loss plan. It was around this time last month when I vowed to lean up to fit into my future designer handouts...well its been a slow progression. Flipping through a number of publications for some sort of inspiration I came across none other than my My Space friend Tila Tequila, a chick who is as lean as they come. The last bit of ...uh, inspiring work she did was on the cover of Stuff; this time around she was staring back at me from the cover of MAXIM...is there any justice!

OK, well as a chick on the quest, I draw inspiration from a number of people, but when it comes to fitness motivation mens glossies are the way to go. Why not? men fill their walls, or at least their TV screens with other men pumping iron...whatever works for you-- right? So back to Tequila...her MAXIM cover is for the UK edition (August), and she is looking even more fit then she did on her April Stuff cover. Funny, I can't even hate on her...not only is she continuing to grace covers, but technically she is an entrepreneur of sorts. As far as the UK edition,*** she is again credited with being the 'Queen of My Space.' Queen...hmmm...Queen? The British are so royale. Queen? I like that! Tia Walker--Queen Blogger...QUEEN B....I like that...I'm feeling good! WAIT! isn't that title already being used? Lil Kim refers to herself as Queen B.

Actress Nicole Kidman is used to being a tabloid staple, but she has publicly claimed one overzealous photographer, Jamie Fawcett, has made her feel unsafe and afraid. The actress testified at Fawcett’s defamation suit against an Austrialian publication that claimed he was the most disliked celeb photog in Sydney.

“I have been pursued many times,” Kidman said. “I have had this happen in relation to this particular man … so many times.”

“I employ people to protect me now. I employ people 24 hours to protect myself because I don’t feel equipped to handle things,” she added.

When an actor or actress is willing to testify, that should tell you something about the level of threat they feel. It’s not often they are truly willing to ‘put their money where their mouth is’ and most often just whine about the intrusiveness.

Actress seen at Red Cross facility; work is part of DUI sentence

LOS ANGELES - Lindsay Lohan, who has been keeping a low profile lately, is giving back to the community.

The 21-year-old actress began her community service on Monday, according to a report by People.

Lindsay was seen at an American Red Cross blood services facility in a suburb of L.A. The actress arrived at noon. Before entering the building, she was greeted by the staff of the Red Cross organization in the parking lot.

She stayed at the American Red Cross blood services facility until around 7 p.m. Leaving the building, she carried a book titled “Blood.”

The actress, sentenced to the mandatory minimum of four days in jail for her second DUI conviction, is being allowed to work 10 days of community service in lieu of two days behind bars. She was given credit for one day served from her July arrest, leaving one remaining day to be served in jail.

Lindsay has until January to complete her last day in jail, in addition to an 18-month alcohol education program and three years probation.

The lawyer of Britney Spears' (pictured) ex-husband Kevin Federline says he may try to subpoena video footage that apparently shows the pop princess running a red light at Hollywood Hills intersection while driving with her two young sons in the back seat.

LOS ANGELES - There could be more trouble ahead for Britney Spears in her custody battle.

Kevin Federline’s lawyer says he may try to subpoena video footage that apparently shows the pop princess running a red light at a Hollywood Hills intersection while driving with their two young sons in the back seat.

Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says he’s weighing whether to seek a subpoena from the court Wednesday for the footage, which was posted on the celebrity news Web site TMZ.com. Separately, TMZ reported that it was contacted by Kaplan.

Kaplan declined further comment, but the footage could support his request to a Superior Court commissioner to stop Spears from driving when her sons are in her car.

Federline has temporary custody of Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, because Spears has defied court orders.

A message left for an attorney for Spears, Anne Kiley, wasn’t immediately returned Monday.

Spears’ driving has been an ongoing problem for her.

In 2006, she was photographed driving with Sean Preston on her lap, and authorities visited her home to investigate.

Last month, she pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving without a valid driver’s license. A misdemeanor hit-and-run charge from an August parking lot crash was dismissed after she paid an undisclosed amount to the car’s owner.

Spears, 25, and Federline, 29, were married in October 2004. The two have wrangled in court over custody issues since they split. Their divorce was final in July.

LONDON - Boy George was charged Tuesday with falsely imprisoning a 28-year-old man, British police said.

The 46-year-old former Culture Club frontman, whose real name is George O’Dowd, has been ordered to appear before a court Nov. 22.

A message was left with O’Dowd’s spokesman seeking comment.

The Sun newspaper reported in April that a Norwegian man, Auden Karlsen, claimed he was chained and threatened at O’Dowd’s London flat, where he had gone as a photo model.

Nicole Kidman subpoenaed in defamation case

SYDNEY, Australia - Nicole Kidman and her assets manager, John Manning, have now been dragged into a lawsuit between photographer Jamie Fawcett and a newspaper publisher.

Manning was called yesterday to give testimony in a defamation case that Fawcett filed over an article published in a January 2005 edition of the Sun Herald, according to a report in today’s Sydney Morning Herald (no relation to the Sun Herald).

The 2005 Sun Herald article allegedly conveyed Fawcett was, “Sydney’s most disliked freelance photographer,” prompting Fawcett to bring legal action against Sun Herald publisher John Fairfax Publications.

The January 2005 article claimed Fawcett planted a listening device outside of Kidman’s home.

Criminal charges were filed against the photographer following the listening device incident. Fox News reported they were later dropped.

“There was no evidence before the court that the device was ever used or caused to be used to record or listen to a conversation,” Judge Michael Grove said in his judgment, according to a report in USA Today.

Fawcett told reporters outside the court, “I’m really happy common sense has prevailed. I thought that for a long while this has just gone on and on and I’m really glad it’s over.”

In September 2006, a jury found Fawcett was defamed in the article. The current slew of hearings allow Fairfax Publications to present a defense, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

As part of their defense, Fairfax Publications subpoenaed Kidman, who will also have to appear in court.

TMZ has learned Britney Spears will now say her false positive drug test may have been caused by her inhaler, which she uses for asthma.

Sources connected with Spears told TMZ yesterday that the drug that may have caused the positive was Provigil, used to treat narcolepsy. But TMZ did some digging and found Provigil would not show up on a court-ordered drug test.

Now the same source says the drug that showed up may have been Albuterol, an asthma drug. But, again, we checked and Albuterol is not an amphetamine, and the class of drug that showed up on the test was an amphetamine.

Terry McBride says Lavigne has nothing to do with the website www.perezlavigne.com, which slams U.S. blogger Perez Hilton and features a video clip of Lavigne apparently welcoming viewers to the page. Lavigne has long been a favourite target of Hilton's celebrity gossip site, perezhilton.com.

But McBride says he and Lavigne "do not engage in attacking people" and that they are focusing on her upcoming world tour.

As of Friday, the attack blog purported to have support from nearly 6,000 Lavigne fans, including several celebrities.

Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm is glad she overcame her reluctance and agreed to a reunion of the hit group.

Nearly a decade after the five-member group became four — when Geri Halliwell left Chisholm, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham — and seven years since the release of their third and supposedly final album, the Spice Girls are back with a greatest hits album and a world reunion tour.

But Chisholm, aka Sporty Spice or Mel C., said it was not the beginning of a new chapter, but rather “our final bow” to celebrate a career that has seen the group sell more than 55 million albums and rack up 10 No. 1 singles around the world.

“We all hoped (the reunion) would be successful, but we’re all quite overwhelmed by the actual response,” Chisholm told Reuters in a telephone interview from Los Angeles, where the group is rehearsing for the tour, which starts in Vancouver on Dec. 2 and is scheduled to play 18 cities in nine countries.

“That has just made us more determined to make the show the best show any British pop band has ever put on,” she said.

But Chisholm admits she was reluctant to be part of the reunion, which she said the group began talking about after they were asked to perform at one of the 2005 Live 8 concerts to fight global poverty.

“For years I always thought I would never go back. It’s a very personal thing to me. I had a lot of things to deal with after the Spice Girls, I had a lot of personal issues, and I have been very happy being a solo artist,” said Chisholm, 33, who has released four solo albums.

“I had to really think about my decision, but after spending time with the girls and now getting into the show I am so glad this is the decision I had made,” she said, adding that Halliwell — aka Ginger Spice — did try to convince her by telling her the group would reunite with or without her.

“That was a phone call that I received, whether it was true or not I don’t know,” Chisholm said, laughing.

The Spice Girls‘ reunion tour may need all the previously rumoured private jets - as well as their standard entourages of assistants, friends & relatives, their children (and accompanying nannies) and security staff, each of the women has reportedly requested their own hair stylists, make-up artists and personal trainers to keep them looking good for the 14-show tour.

A source told the Mirror: “There’s so much competition between the girls now. It’s a far cry from the old days when they had one make-up artist and a hairdresser between them.”

The source added that there was a glimpse at what life on the tour will be like at a recent photoshoot for the band’s promotional material: “They all want to look their best so each of them brought in their own separate team. It’s hilarious - and completely over the top. Why can’t they just share like in the old days?”

The band has been plagued with rumours of primadonna tensions since they officially announced their reunion plans last month - but Victoria Beckham has downplayed the rumours, saying they’re all trying to bring their own skill set to the group.

Despite rumours that she’s angered by Geri Halliwell’s bossiness, Victoria told the Sun recently: “I’ve been calling [Geri] ‘Brilliant Spice’ because she has been so great at sorting everything out.”

“Melanie C will be in charge of choosing our band, and I’m sure I’ll have something to do with our costumes.”

One would think that Britney Spears would be used to this, but apparently a recent “Unsexy” poll released by Maxim has the Gimme More singer wanting an apology.

Accoding to press, “The star was planning to make a surprise appearance at a Maxim magazine event at Opera nightclub in Los Angeles on Tuesday night until she found out about the magazine’s most recent “top five unsexiest women” poll, alongside Madonna, Amy Winehouse, Sandra Oh and Sarah Jessica Parker.”

A Spears camp insider told OK! magazine, “Brit started saying that Maxim had always been so good to her in the past and she didn’t want to miss anything fun. (But) we didn’t want her to get inside Opera and have people coming up to her or telling her she was a part of that list. It would have been really bad if she had had a breakdown inside the club in front of everyone and she wanted to go out and have a good time and forget all the drama at home.”

Instead of letting her face the embarrassment, her friends then told her what list she was on, with the insider telling, “She started to pout and her eyes were filling up with tears. She had no idea there was such a thing as an Unsexy list and it came as a pretty big shock.”

Vanessa Hudgens, 18, star of Disney's High School Musical and High School Musical 2 had a nude photo of herself end up on the internet. Vanessa's rep confirmed it's her in the photograph that was never meant to be made public. The 18-year-old photographed herself nude to tease her co-star boyfriend Zac Efron, 19, according to The Sun. Now, Disney who is planning to make a second sequel for High School Musical, are known for protecting their wholesome image, may give Vanessa the boot, it's feared. A source revealed to The Sun: "Vanessa was chosen for the role because of her clean-cut image. This could pose problems for her." Meanwhile, Vanessa's rep told TMZ: "This was a photo which was taken privately. It is a personal matter and it is unfortunate that this has become public." If she doesn't have a career with Disney any longer, I'm sure she will elsewhere. Do I hear Playboy ringing Vanessa?

Fergie Falls Ill Cancels Concert

The Black Eyed Peas canceled a concert in San Salvador the capital city of El Salvador after Fergie fell ill. The show was cancelled minutes after Fergie announced to the crowd of 10,000 people that she was sick reported La Prensa Grafica, a San Salvador daily newspaper. The band was in Central America touring thirteen countries as part of their 'Black Blue & You World Tour'. In a statement the bands concert organizer said the band will reschedule the concert in the next three months. Dissatisfied fans were offered refunds for the concert. 32-year-old Fergie who was voted 10th on Maxim's Hot 100 Women of 2007 will be releasing her second solo album next year. The not yet titled album is expected to be completed by Christmas.
