Who feels like going for a swim?!

Victoria's Secret has entrusted its Gorgeous Swimwear line to model Candice Swanepoel this season—and with good reason, as evidenced by this slow-motion-celebrating commercial exclusively obtained by E! News.

MORE: Kate Upton and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Models Speak Out About Cover Leak

The South African hottie, best known for her work modeling Victoria's Secret signature skivvies, dons a variety of teeny bikinis and shows off what they can do.

Well, presumably they're all right for swimming. Swanepoel mainly rolls around in the sand, plays peekaboo among the palm trees and slowly submerges herself in the ocean.

But really, what else should she be doing? Enjoy!

Justin Timberlake Closer to Starring in Elton John Movie?

2012-04-18T01:04:00.000-07:00

Today 5:00 PM PSTby Marc Malkin

It sounds like Elton John's hope for Justin Timberlake to play him in his biopic is more than just wishful thinking these days.

Sir Elton's husband, David Furnish, tells me the two music superstars have been talking to each other about the project.

So what's the hold up?

READ: Elton John Making a Movie About Himself, Calling It Rocketman

"We're searching for a director," Furnish told me earlier today as he was overseeing preparations for the 20th annual Oscar viewing party benefiting the Elton John AIDS Foundation. "It's important we all share the same vision.

"Elton and Justin have had conversations about it," he continued. "Justin also says he has to feel comfortable with the director and the director has to be comfortable with Justin. The chemistry is really important. There's no race to make this. We're just going to take the time to make it right."

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

The "Crocodile Rock" legend told the Los Angeles Times last month that Timberlake is "No. 1" on his wish list because he did such a "superb" job playing him in a David LaChapelle video for "Rocket Man."

And his life story may not end with the big screen. "We haven't ruled out a [Broadway] musical," Furnish said. "But we just want to do the movie first."

For now, John and Furnish have their Oscar bash to think about. More than 800 people will gather Sunday under a giant tent in West Hollywood Park. Foster The People will perform with celebrity chef Cat Cora preparing the five-course meal.

WATCH: Check out Marc Malkin's video blog for scoop on another very special guest at Sir Elton and David Furnish's Oscar party!

Celebs expected on the big night include Lea Michele, Heidi Klum, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Liam Hemsworth, Leona Lewis and Adam Levine, among many others.

"We're creating a vision—a world without AIDS," Furnish said. "It's the biggest disease in the world. More than 34 million are infected with 1.3 million in this country alone. It's not over."

The annual event has raised about $225 million over two decades.

"The biggest thing we have to address is stigma," Furnish said. "People are stigmatized when they have the disease still. They're stigmatized to the point that they're frightened of getting tested, frightened of knowing their status and not getting on their medications. We have to break that cycle."

Kim Kardashian has one less story floating around to worry about.

The E! star is "very happy to announce that she has reached a settlement of her claims against Jonathan Jaxson," her attorney, Todd Wilson, said in a statement to E! News. Jackson, a blogger who identified himself last year as Kardashian's former publicist, had told various media outlets that her short-lived relationship with Kris Humphries was staged for the cameras.

"As part of the confidential settlement," Wilson continued, "Mr. Jaxson has issued a public apology to Kim. Kim is extremely pleased with the outcome of the matter."

So, what did his mea culpa entail?

MORE: Kim Kardashian "Can't Wait to Meet" Kourtney's Baby Girl: "The Whole Family Is So Excited!"

"I wanted to apologize publicly to Kim Kardashian for any confusion that I may have caused by the personal statements I made recently regarding Kim Kardashian," Jaxson wrote on his blog.

"I would like to further clarify that I did not have any first hand knowledge of Kim's relationship with Kris. Any statement I made regarding Kim and her marriage was my opinion only and was not intended to imply first hand knowledge of Kim's thoughts and feelings."

Sources told E! News in November that Jaxson was indeed just a blogger "she met three times" as opposed to her former publicist.

Kardashian was "a client and someone I worked with behind the scenes," Jaxson told us at the time. "I have all the proof and I feel there is no need to further justify this."

Well, everyone's entitled to his opinion.

Don't mess with Aretha Franklin, people.

Even after the music legend explained her absence at Whitney Houston's funeral, many media outlets continued to speculate why Franklin decided not to attend her goddaughter's service (where she was expected to sing). Certain outlets suggested the reason was an alleged rift between Franklin and Cissy Houston that reportedly arose after Franklin's Today interview aired the day before the funeral.

Well, it was time to set the record straight.

"Extra TV, the New York Post and Newsday (New York) should stop the BS," Franklin said in a statement. "Cissy Houston and I have been longtime friends for almost 50 years."

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

"I have four invitations and parking passes that were sent to me for the funeral. Extra TV, the New York Post and Newsday (New York) are more interested in sensationalism and negative speculations than the truth. People are getting their information from the wrong source. The intelligent and the thoughtful thing to do would be to respect and have some sensitivity to the moment. If you don't know how, at least try.

"Cissy does not need ridiculous speculation and neither do I—particularly at this time. Also, with respect to the Today Show, my entire statement was pretaped. However, the Today Show did not air the part of my statement, which said, 'This is no reflection on Cissy or Nippy's upbringing.' Knowing Cissy as well as I do, I know Whitney left home right and properly. I was generalizing and it was a well intended statement for any young adult coming into the music industry. I was not speaking of anyone specifically."

Franklin released a statement Saturday clarifying her reason for not going and giving her condolences, "Unfortunately I had terrible leg spasms and locked leg muscles until 4:00 a.m. this morning following my concert last night, which I've been having for the last few days. I feel it necessary and very important to stay off my leg today as much as possible until concert time this evening.

"My heart goes out to my dear friend Cissy [Houston], Dionne [Warwick], Bobbi Kristina [Brown] and the rest of the family. May God keep them all."

Can you R-E-S-P-E-C-T that?

Another punch has been thrown in the fight between Chris Brown and WWE star CM Punk.

On Monday, the pro wrestler fired the first shot, tweeting that he "would like @chrisbrown [to] fight somebody that can defend themselves."

Brown tweeted back, accusing CM Punk of taking steroids. (He's since deleted the tweet.)

Then the 33-year-old wrestler responded directly to Brown on Tuesday with a confrontational video...

"I never intended to include Chris Brown's name in one of my tweets to start some sort of a controversy or to gain publicity or anything like that. [But] now that he's throwing accusations my way about using steroids, I feel the need to reply," CM Punk says in the clip. "I'm a lifelong, proud, drug-free straight-edge individual."

He continues: "Chris and I come from two completely different worlds. I don't have a manager. I don't have a bodyguard—I don't need a bodyguard. [I don't have] an assistant. I have no need for a PR team to tell me what to tweet or when to delete tweets."

MORE: Chris Brown Sends Rihanna Birthday Wishes on Twitter

"And I don't hit women," he says matter-of-factly, referring to Brown's notorious 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna. "Period. In my world, women are to be revered and respected, and I firmly believe that in this life there are consequences and repercussions for people's actions. I don't think Chris has paid for what he's done."

CM Punk then challenges the Grammy winner to "put some gloves on and get in the ring" to settle their feud. "All proceeds [from the fight] can go to a women's shelter of my choosing."

"I will choke you out," he says. "I will make you feel as weak and as powerless and scared and alone as any woman who has had the misfortune of knowing a sad, cowardly little boy such as yourself."

Brown was quick to respond. "@cmpunk the video u just posted was cute! It's so funny how defensive u are," he tweeted. "And the fact that I really don't know who you are and could give a s--t is the funny part!"

He continued: "Note:today will be the last day I bring [CM Punk's] existence up! The confrontations that people continuously bring my way are very amusing...Cuz honestly, that s--t is too time consuming to argue wit every person who has their own issues to deal with."

The 22-year-old singer then clarified to his fans, "I'm never 'ANGRY' when I speak my mind on twitter! They want me to be mad! That's the difference. Love."

CM Punk hasn't forgiven Brown for his abusive past, but it looks like Rihanna has. On Monday, she and her former flame unveiled two musical collaborations on Twitter.

So if Rihanna's rejoined Team Breezy, should the rest of us embrace Brown again, too? Or does CM Punk have the right idea? Weigh in below.

Adam Levine is using his voice to set the record straight on rumors that he and Christina Aguilera don't get along.

During an appearance on Anderson (airing next Monday), the Maroon 5 frontman talks about his hit NBC show The Voice, which leads Anderson Cooper to inquire about what often appears to be a somewhat tense-filled relationship between Levine and his fellow judge.

MORE: Adam Levine Starts Record Label

"It's fine," insists Levine. "Everyone's so funny. They take one little thing. We bicker, like brother and sister kind of thing, but it's all in good fun. No one's carrying it with them anywhere other than the stage."

Speaking of the stage, when an audience member asks Levine if he could add another artist to, say, be a fifth coach on The Voice, Levine reveals he "would love to see" someone like Kanye West come on board.

"Just because he's such a firecracker," he says. "I'm sure that terrifies NBC, but that would be fun. I love Kanye, I love what he does."

Not surprisingly, the conversation soon turns to the tragic passing of Whitney Houston.

"I kind of try to think about it though in a positive light and think about celebrating what she did and celebrating her because we all love her so much," says Levine. "I'm not sure there's anybody on Earth with a voice like that. We miss her."

Stephen Colbert to Write Children's Book About a Pole

2012-04-16T07:59:00.000-07:00

Stephen Colbert has a little something for the youngest members of Colbert Nation.

Inspired by his two-part interview last month with legendary Where the Wild Things Are author Maurice Sendak, Comedy Central's fake pundit is teaming with Grand Central Publishing to release his very own children's book...about a pole.

MORE: Did Stephen Colbert Shut Down Report Due to Mother's Illness?

The tome I Am a Pole (And So Can You!) drops on May 8.

"It's been a lifelong dream of mine to write a children's book. I hope the minutes you and your loved ones spend reading it are as fulfilling as the minutes I spent writing it," quipped Colbert.

The idea of the funnyman giving the 83-year-old Sendak a run for his money in children's lit came about after the latter appeared on The Colbert Report and the Emmy winner surprised him with news that he was working on his own tome for kids in a bid to "cash in" on celebrity children's books written by the likes of Bill O'Reilly and Madonna.

According to Grand Central, the segment went viral, culminating in a deluge of requests from fans wanting copies of the book.

This isn't Colbert's first foray into the publishing world. He also penned the New York Times bestseller I Am America (And So Can You!).

Queen Mum, meet the queen? Well, that was probably a bit surreal.

She may have played Queen Elizabeth II's mother in The King's Speech, but earlier today it was Helena Bonham Carter who was giddy as a child as she was made a CBE—that is, Commander of the British Empire—by the monarch.

But it didn't all go quite as smoothly as she would have liked...

Accompanied by partner Tim Burton, and their son Billy, 8, and daughter Nell, 4, Carter donned a red tartan dress and miniature top hat for the regal occasion, held at Buckingham Palace.

On her way out of the ceremony, the 45-year-old told the press that it had been a "very very special day," and was quickly asked about one of her more random (even for her) accessories: a pink cell phone with bunny ears.

When asked by the media if it had gone off, she replied, "No, but the 4-year-old did."

Cheeky bugger. Congrats!

Lindsay Lohan hasn't exactly been known for her good luck streaks when it comes to the legal system...until now.

Having finally gotten her act together, Lindsay is riding high, with two straight glowing progress reports in her seemingly neverending necklace-heist probation. She is due back in court this morning for what will likely be a charmer of a third time.

The actress (and her latest wardrobe choice) will once again face off with Judge Stephanie Sautner for what promises to be yet another lightning-quick hearing, and E! Online is livestreaming all the proceedings from both in- and outside the courthouse.

The action kicks off at 9:30 a.m. PT, so keep it here and don't miss a minute!

Deano / Splash News

Lindsay Lohan is really taking this whole turning-over-a-new-leaf thing seriously.

The actress arrived a whopping 24 minutes early to her probation progress hearing this morning (her earliest ever entrance, according to our E! News crack research staff), flanked by mother Dina. And you could say she arrived fashionably early, donning a court-appropriate tan trench coat, mint-green dress and a chunky diamond bracelet.

Oh, and looks aside, Lindsay's also been completing all the terms of her probation. So much so that no-nonsense Judge Stephanie Sautner proclaimed Lohan in the "homestretch" of her sentence.

MORE: Live from New York, it's...Lindsay Lohan?!

"She has done everything that's required," Sautner said during the lightning-quick hearing. "The way I figured it and we talked, there's 14 more days of community service and five more therapy sessions. Ms. Lohan, you're in the homestretch, OK?

"The probation officer's pleased with your progress, you seem to be getting your life back on track and that's what we've all hoped for."

Sautner also praised Lohan's "positive change" and noted her glowing reports from the probation department and therapist.

MORE: It's not much longer now until LiLo is back in the clear

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

As for what's next for the starlet, she has just one progress hearing left and then it's (almost) back to a clean record. All she has to do is complete those 14 days of community service and five therapy sessions by March 29. She also has $3,500 in fines to pay, per her probation report.

"Are we clear? Is everybody good with that date?" Sautner asked the court.

Check out Lindsay's probation report docs

Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images

And while Lindsay's probation prevents her from leaving the state for pleasure (at least until she's completed all her dates), she's more than welcome to do so for business…particularly, the business of hosting Saturday Night Live in a little more than a week's time.

Should all continue on as it has been, Lindsay's Beverly Hills DUI case will be formally dropped at her next hearing, and her necklace-heist probation will switch to a non-reporting informal summary probation. So what does that mean, exactly?

"After March 29, all you have to do is obey all laws, stay out of trouble and move on with your life," Sautner said. "Good luck."

So when their ousted former cohost Star Jones returned to the show Wednesday, Barbara Walters cut right to the chase about Jones' 2006 controversial exit from the show…

MORE: Why Is Star Jones Returning to The View?

ABC/Ida Mae Astute "Are we really going to go here Barbara?" Jones sniped. "Do we care at this point?! I honestly don't."

Walters reminded the audience that although Jones' contract had not been renewed for another season, she blindsided her costars on-air when she announced she was choosing to leave. "It was a bad emotional time," Jones admitted. "I made the decision that I wanted to go out on my own terms so that if I walked back here I'd feel good about it."

Jones, who is wearing red all month to promote heart health (she and Walters each had heart surgery in recent years), was unapologetic about her initial decision to stay mum on her 2003 gastric-bypass surgery. She wasn't "emotionally ready" to discuss her "private way of deciding to lose weight."

"Because we loved you, we did lie for you," Walters reminded her, acknowledging that she and the hosts of the show credited Jones dramatic weight loss to "portion control" and "Pilates."

"We were very worried about you," Walters added. "[But now] you look great, you look healthy. We are really happy that you're back."

For her part, Jones was glad to be back, too. Following her appearance, she tweeted, "Fun @theviewtv. It is easy to walk through the PAST when your present is so good & your FUTURE is so promising."

Hermione Grainger's wild, curly hair had a life of its own, and in real life, Emma Watson's tresses have garnered even more attention.

So when the 21-year-old chopped off her long, luscious locks in 2010, the world was transfixed by her drastic, new pixie cut.
Some people loved it, some people hated it, and some people apparently thought it was a statement about her sexuality…

"I had journalists asking me if [my haircut] meant I was coming out, if I was a lesbian now," Watson told The Independent., rolling her eyes. "That haircut did make me realize how subjective everyone's opinion is. Some people were crazy for it and some people just thought I'd lost my s--t."

So what did she learn from the experience? "All I can do is follow my instincts because I'll never please everyone," she said.

For her part, the former Harry Potter star is pleased with her trimmed-down tresses. "As I've got older, and since I cut all my hair off, I've felt a bit more liberated about trying different things out," she said.

Somehow, we think this fashion-forward starlet could pull off just about any look.

Who expected romance from Adam Sandler's corner today?!

But that's just what Jennifer Aniston got from her Just Go With It pal, who was on hand to see the actress get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her film career.

"Everyone loves this girl—my wife loves this girl, Justin Theroux loves this girl," Sandler informed the crowd, referring of course to Aniston's multitasking boyfriend, who was there in double capacity Wednesday as both her main man and her costar in Wanderlust (out Friday, natch).

Not that Sandler disappointed on the comedic front or anything...

MORE: Watch Justin Theroux Bust Out His Jennifer Aniston-Approved Break-Dancing Moves

"She prayed for three things," Sandler said of the former Friends star. "To have everyone in the entire world be fascinated with her haircut, to one day star in a movie about an evil leprechaun who kills people, and most importantly, receive a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame. Well today, Jennifer, the trifecta is here."

Also in the Wanderlust section of Aniston's support group today were Malin Akerman and Kathryn Hahn, who along with Theorux were witness to all that skin on display during filming.

"It wasn't scary," Aniston told E! News of being nude in front of cast and crew members. "I mean, I was with these people for two months. It's so natural, by the time it comes around you don't care. I realized, in this country we're so hung up on all that. In France, people walk around nude all the time!"

So, does Aniston ever plan on walking around nude on camera, to be seen by the naked eye?

"Well, if I was going to consider that, I would really have to get on that now," the 43-year-old beauty said, pretending to tap a wristwatch.

Things haven't been so happily ever after for Bethenny Frankel.

Aside from her marriage dramas on the third season of Bethenny Ever After, the reality star went on Today Monday morning and revealed some sad news—that she suffered a miscarriage while she was eight weeks pregnant.

When asked if she and hubby Jason Hoppy were considering expanding their family, Frankel said, "I'm 41…It's a very personal question that I get asked a lot. We were pregnant with a second baby and at eight weeks I miscarried and that was a very emotional experience. It had a lot of different things that came with it."

"Thinking about women who can't have their own baby, even the first baby, I'm really lucky," Frankel continued, holding back tears. "I have the most beautiful daughter in the world and I'm grateful for her."

Frankel said following the incident she hasn't been sure if an additional sibling for her 21-month-old, Bryn, is still in the cards.

"I'm 41 and I don't know," the Skinny Girl cocktail mogul went on. "It's not really my choice. It's not really my option and the window's closing and it's something that I'm dealing with…I'm not really thinking about it. I don't know what my options are. I do have an incredible daughter. I feel like she's perfect."

"I honestly have thought about other women more than myself...The first thing I thought about was ‘Oh, my God. I can't believe what people must go through if they can't even have the one,'" Frankel continued.

Fans of Bethenny Ever After shouldn't expect to see the miscarriage discussed this season, however.

Frankel said the incident happened recently, and "has not been dealt with on the show."

This probably isn't going to help end speculation about the current status of Rihanna and Chris Brown.

The "You Da One" crooner received a message from her ex-beau via Twitter Sunday, when he acknowledged the newly cemented 24-year-old's birthday for all the world to see.

MORE: Could Chris Brown Go to Jail for Hooking Up With Rihanna?

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBYN!," Brown tweeted to Rihanna, aka Robyn Fenty, who celebrates her birthday today.

Rihanna responded with "Thanks!" and re-tweeted his message.

And while this is one of the first times the duo has addressed each other via Twitter (by name) since Brown's infamous 2009 assault on his then-girlfriend, it certainly is not the first time Brown and Rihanna have made us raise our eyebrows at some interesting conversation on the social networking site.

At the end of last year, Brown posted "Love U more than u know!" on Twitter, and just two minutes later, Rihanna responded with, "I'll always love you #1love."

MORE: Has Chris Brown Reformed—or Totally Not?

And that was just the beginning.

In January, the former couple stirred up the speculation pot a bit more when they were spotted at the same West Hollywood nightclub (it later turned out that Brown's girlfriend was in attendance also) and then again just days ago when neither one of them shut down rumors that the "Turn Up the Music " crooner would be making an appearance on Rihanna's soon-to-be released "Cake" remix.

In fact, it looked like they were kinda encouraging it.

"They can say whatever, Ima do whatever...No pain is forever," Rihanna cryptically tweeted Friday morning after the news broke. "YUP! YOU KNOW THIS."

And then it was Brown's turn.

MORE: Rihanna's Top 10 Red Carpet Moments—Which One Is Your Favorite?

"Let them be mad!!!!" Brown later followed. "We make music. Don't like it, don't listen! Turn up the music remix is coming soon too! Guess who's on it?"

Back in March 2011, after Rihanna allowed a judge to lessen the terms of her restraining order against Brown, she told Rolling Stone, "It doesn't mean we're gonna make up, or even talk again. It just means I didn't want to object to the judge. We don't have to talk again ever in my life. I just didn't want to make it more difficult for him professionally."

It looks like the rumors were true.

After much speculation about whether a possible Rihanna-Chris Brown music collaboration might be in the works, the former couple tweeted remixes to their respective songs on her birthday Monday...

MORE: Did Chris Brown and Rihanna Hook Up at Hollywood Club Last Night?

"@rihanna goo.gl/ttRJR YIKES!!! Cake, cake, cake!," Brown tweeted with a link to the Rihanna's "Birthday Cake" remix, which features Brown delivering some suggestive lyrics.

But that wasn't all.

Shortly after Rihanna responded with, "#RihannaNavy Come and put ya name on it!!!!! RT @chrisbrown: @rihanna goo.gl/ttRJR YIKES!!! Cake, cake, cake!", she went on to tweet her other collaboboration with Brown to the masses.

"@chrisbrown Turn up the music remix #RihannaNavy #Teambreezy enjoy!!! vimeo.com/mechanicaldumm…," Rihanna wrote.

While the pair seem pleased with the work, the question is whether fans are willing to overlook the memory of Brown's 2009 assault against the singer—which at least some people seem not inclined to do—and listen to the music.

Thoughts? Sound off in the comments.
