The City star Whitney Port is reportedly dating actor Leonardo DiCaprio. According to sources, the couple met last month at a party in NYC.

“They met at a NYC party, and he flirted with her like crazy, then asked for her phone number. She didn’t think it was a big deal because she heard he does that with lots of girls,” says a source.

After numerous phone calls, DiCaprio and Port began secretly dating and meeting for intimate dates at the actor’s Hollywood Hills mansion.

“She’s really clicked with him and he’s treating her very well, and of course it’s exciting that he’s such a huge star,” adds an insider.

Port, 24, recently split from Freddie Fackelmayer. DiCaprio, 34, previously dated Bar Refaeli.

The Famous Actress and Model Kate Hudson has sparked rumours of dating American Baseball icon Alex Rodriguez ever since she was spotted with him in a restaurant here.

"It's somewhat serious. He introduced her to a bunch of his friends," said an onlooker in a statement released here Wednesday.

Hudson followed Rodriguez to Dallas, when the Yankees played the Texas Rangers in a three-game series.
Hudson and her five-year-old son Ryder also stayed at the same hotel as A-Rod, as he is fondly called. An eyewitness revealed that the couple "worked out together in the fitness centre."

"She sent Ryder and his nanny to the ballpark for one of the games, while she stayed behind and watched the game from the hotel. She remarked several times about what a big baseball fan she is," said the eyewitness.

While many people have been speculating about the future of their relationship, another source added, "You never know with her."

Winona Ryder is experiencing a comeback of sorts, having starred in this summer's hotly anticipated Star Trek film. She may have played Spock's mother, but the 37-year-old actress looks barely a day older than she did in 1994's Reality Bites.
She spoke to US Magazine recently about her feelings towards Angelina Jolie, her co-star in Girl, Interrupted. Ryder and Jolie played patients in a mental hospital. Jolie won the 1999 Best Supporting Actress award for her role, though Ryder was the lead and an executive producer on the film.
Ryder chose to go ahead with the role of Susanna, though others warned her that Jolie would likely receive the most accolades, due to the subject matter and the way the characters' stories play out. Ryder says that she "was really happy with the film, and really proud of it."
Ryder also revealed that a sequel is in the works for her 1988 cult classic film, Heathers, which was about a group of really mean girls. The film also starred Christian Slater.
"I knew from the outset that whoever played Lisa was going to get all the attention," Ryder tells the July issue of Empire magazine. "At one point they asked if I wanted to play Lisa and I said, 'No, I want to be Susanna.'"
"But there was no resentment," Ryder went on. "When it came out, people almost felt bad for me. But I expected it all along. I was really happy with the film, and really proud of it."
If anything, Ryder said she felt bad for Jolie.
"At the time I worked with her, she was battling her looks because she's so beautiful," she said. "She wanted very much to be taken seriously and not just judged on her looks. And she conquered that."
Ryder also confirmed a sequel is in the works to her 1988 cult film Heathers.
"Whatever you hear, there is a sequel in the works. I swear to God," she told the magazine. "But for some reason the writer Dan Waters and director Michael Lehman don't want to talk about it. I've been wanting to do a sequel forever. There is a story, and Christian [Slater] has agreed to come back as a kind of Obi-Wan character."

Brooke Shields distressed her mother's tabloid lunch date

Brooke Shields is upset with a tabloid reporter over an incident involving the actress' elderly mother.

Shields accused a reporter and photographer from the National Enquirer of taking her 75-year-old mother -- Teri Shields, who suffers from dementia -- out of a New Jersey nursing home last week, People magazine reported.

It was "reprehensible and disgusting," Shields told People.

The reporter, "looking for a tabloid story," signed her mother out of a senior living facility in Old Tappan, New Jersey, by falsely claiming to be her friend, Shields said.

The National Enquirer said the reporter has known Teri Shields for a decade.

"Teri asked the reporter to take her out to lunch and run some errands," the tabloid said.

"The freelance reporter then got permission from the facility to do so. ... At no point did the facility, which had given its permission for the outing, contend that there had been any wrongdoing."

Old Tappan police told People they are investigating.

Brooke Shields' lawyer, Gerald Lefcourt, said the actress has not filed charges, but was exploring her options.

Shields moved her mother to another facility, Lefcourt said.

Britney Spears is a bit of a priceless act.

So, it's no surprise the superstar costs thousands of pounds to protect.

New court papers have revealed exactly how much money it takes to guard the poplet mum-of-two.

In legal papers filed with a Los Angeles court over the weekend, Brit reportedly coughed up £295,371 on personal security alone between March and December last year.

US website TMZ, who claim to have seen the documents, say the blondie songstress splashed out on the eye-watering protection fees, alongside over £32,000 on "household maintainance" costs for the same period.

She is also said to have given out around £117,000 in child support payments to her ex, and father of her two kids, Kevin Federline.

Mind you, it's not like Brit can't afford this rather pricey list of fees and payouts - since the same documents claim to reveal that the 27-year-old made a whopping income of £7.6million last year alone.

A grown-up Matthew McConaughey faces his "Ghosts"

The herald of the three ghosts is the spirit of Connor's late Uncle Wayne (Michael Douglas), an old-school ladies' man who taught his nephew all his womanizing tricks.
McConaughey credits his own mother as among his best teachers in the ways of love, saying she dispensed far better advice to himself and his two brothers than what Uncle Wayne offers in "Ghosts."
"My mother was always rooting us on, telling us, 'Look, a lot of people see it as the girl's the catch, and the guy just chases. Yes the guy chases, but remember, you're a catch, too.' So it was good hearing that from my mother," he said.
McConaughey will soon have the chance to pass along some of his mother's wisdom to his son Levi, who was born last July.

"I can't wait to talk to my son about women," he said. "We go somewhere now, he knows women, and he flirts with women.

"We put him in front of the duck for the first time. He looks at the duck, and he's like, 'Yeah, that's interesting.' He looks over to the left and there's this beautiful little three-year-old girl with long eyelashes, and he just reaches over and starts petting her hair. And we're like, 'Oh my gosh, there he goes.'"

In addition to what McConaughey calls "this epic that I'm making in raising my son," the Texas-born actor is staying busy acting. He will next star in the courtroom thriller "Lincoln Lawyer," drama "Stolen," and the bar-brawling comedy "The Grackle," which he will also produce.

But the arrival of Levi has made McConaughey more selective about his roles. "If I wanted to do something before Levi in South Africa, and we leave tomorrow -- 'Okay, let's go!'
"But now, there's a bigger circus you pick up," he said. "You're picking up your family. And you go, 'Okay, well, let's talk about this.' So I'm probably a little more selective."

Jennifer Garner, Matthew McConaughey Talk 'Girlfriends Past' Action
'You have to do it like you're doing an action movie,' McConaughey says of filming the rom-com
It's not unusual to catch both Jennifer Garner and Matthew McConaughey jumping from action films to romantic comedies and back again. She has moved deftly from episodes of "Alias" and stunt-heavy work in the "Daredevil"/ "Elektra" franchise to rom-com fare in "Catch and Release" and "13 Going on 30," while he's taken parts in "Sahara" and "Reign of Fire" but remained a perennial head-turner in films like "Failure to Launch" and "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days." Now, both stars come together in "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past," a film that McConaughey suggests treads a finer line between genres than you might expect.
"She's athletic and I'm athletic," McConaughey told MTV News, seated next to his co-star, "so we've got a lot of physical comedy in this thing, and what's fun about that is you have to do it like you're doing an action movie."

Though the film boasts quite a bit of practical stunt work, not the least of which includes a downhill car chase through a snowy forest and an intricate cake-balancing act, Garner said that the core approach to any genre is more or less the same and that any role requires a tremendous amount of physical ability.

"You have to use your whole body to act out the scenes," she said, pointing out that subtlety in a dramatic situation can be a bigger challenge than the most intense fight scene.
"Spatial sense is a big thing," McConaughey said of some of the film's more physically demanding slapstick moments. "If you're early, there's too big of a gap and you've got to shoot it again.

If you're late, you've lost the prop and that's where you actually hit the person. Sometimes you go too far. I've done that too."
Thankfully, Garner found herself on less intense terms with the other actors, reuniting with her old friend Christa B. Allen, who played Garner's younger self in "13 Going on 30" and whom she recommended for a similar role in "Ghosts."
But for McConaughey, the biggest highlight of production was playing misguided love-'em-and-leave-'em ladies' man Connor Mead.
"That was one of the funnest parts of this," he said. "For the first third of the movie, I got to not hold back in having as much confidence with this guy as I could — as being the pathetic guy that he is, the rakish guy that he is. It's fun to go that far."

The long hours, close quarters and buttoned-up cashmere cardigans would make anyone go crazy, right? But in this case, Cupid has been working overtime to turn GG's romances from reel to real life. Let's take a look at the misses and matches:

Penn Badgley and Blake Lively: Penn and Blake have known each other since they were 11-years-old, but the sparks didn’t fly until they began working on Gossip Girl in 2007. They’ve remain one of the most solid couples in Young Hollywood and often keep a low profile. Lucky for them, their on-screen character’s off-and-on romance has been a continuing storyline for Gossip Girl. While their GG relationship is back off, their Leighton Meester Sebastian Stan Gossip Girlon-screen love remains strong. The cute costars were reportedly nuzzling and whispering throughout the game of hoops between the Knicks and the Lakers. Ed looks really into it, doesn't he? But what's Jess thinking about? The latest Gossip Girl romance to stun fans (and disappoint women) is that of Jessica and Ed. The two were first outed as a couple when Jessica and Ed were seen spending Thanksgiving weekend together. They have since become attached at the hip, whether it's at a Knicks game or trips to Miami. With mere weeks of secondary schooling under her belt, Lauren scores an internship at Teen Vogue. A huge deal for an aspiring fashion designer (even if she did spend most of her time twirling her hair and steaming dresses). Secured a deal as spokesmodel for mark, a line of makeup and accessories for young women from Avon. It ain't exactly Cover Girl, but then again, she's not as big a star as Ellen DeGeneres or Queen Latifah, either.

Lauren gave up a summer internship opportunity in Paris to move into a beach-side condo with boyfriend Jason Wahler. They broke up soon after. After rumors surfaced about an alleged sex tape Lauren made with Jason, she was the hottest topic among entertainment reporters everywhere. And, as scandals do, it also piqued the interest of people who hadn't previously seen The Hills.

Sex tape rumors were traced back to her former bestie, Heidi, and her boyfriend, Spencer Pratt. Never had there been a more lengthy, widely publicized feud/media frenzy amongst nobodies. This hot streak has only recently been matched by the fallout from the most recent Bachelor program. Briefly dated Spencer's former best friend Brody Jenner in a relationship that seemed doomed from the start. Got into a skirmish with longtime friend Jen Bunney, because Jen kissed Brody (with the encouragement of Heidi and Spencer) shortly after they'd broken up.

Averaging 4.7 million viewers, The Hills premiered to its largest audience ever in March, 2008. It was the most-watched program for all viewers aged 12-34, and the highest rated cable telecast of 2008 for the first quarter of the year. Called "simple," "wearable" and "boring," among other things, Lauren's first fashion show at L.A. Fashion Week was met with lukewarm to cold reviews. She wouldn't last three weeks on Project Runway.

Starred with Brody Jenner in a cell phone commercial for LG Shine, in which we learn that the phone's reflective surface is good for checking your makeup and watching girls' butts as they walk past. Scored a three-book deal with HarperCollins to pen fiction books for young adults loosely based on her life. Aspiring authors are likely jealous, as Lauren can barely complete a sentence on The Hills. Wore her own dress design to the Emmys, which did nothing for her figure and was so unmemorable we had to Google it to remember what it looked like.
Entertainment Weekly scores The Hills No. 82 on its list, The New Classics: The Best 100 Shows of the Last 25 Years. They called it "one of the most addictive, hated, beloved, vapid, influential, successful shows on television." She's been quietly dating actor Kyle Howard -- off camera -- for months. Both have kept mum on the relationship. Under those circumstances and time constraints, it's gotta be hard to keep things afloat, let alone thriving, and we think that's kinda hot.

Lauren was ranked No. 56 on the Maxim magazine Hot 100 of 2008 list, one notch higher than Taylor Swift, but not quite as hot as Kristen Bell. Not bad. You can understand a young woman wanting a personal life that isn't in the public eye, but Lauren's decision to leave The Hills -- the thing that's catapulted her to the front of tabloid covers -- could take her off the radar.
Due to the current economy, she's putting her clothing line on hold for the foreseeable future. Is it just us, or is it getting awfully chilly in Lauren-land? Better get a blanket.

Importance Of Women’s History Month - Ciara Explains

With just a few days left of Women's History Month, singer Ciara wants to make sure she honors the women who paved the way before her.

In a blog entry posted at globalgrind.com, Ciara explained by the month of March is so important to her.

"I wanted to remind everyone that it's still Women's History Month," she wrote. "And even though we stay strong 12 months a year, I'm particularly proud to honor this month with all the amazing women that have paved a path for us from the Underground Railroad’s Harriet Tubman to fashion icons like Iman to even our amazing First Lady Michelle Obama."

Ciara says there are a few traits that the female gender carry with them and help keep them connected across the world. Those being: "hard work, perseverance and a natural flair that only women can pull off in high heels".

"I'm really passionate about this because I'm sure all of us, at some point, have been knocked down," the singer explained. "At work, at home, emotionally, mentally, and we thought we wouldn't be able to make it out, but somehow we do it."

Before ending her blog entry, she goes on to explain how she deals with the everyday pressures of being a celebrity. Somehow, when she throws on her super hero cape, those problems fade away. This "inner superhero" as she calls it, exists in every female.

"With all the gossip and jabs media throw at celebrities, sometimes I don't know how I deal with it, but that's when my inner superhero, 'Super C', comes to the rescue," says Ciara. "I'll tell you more about her another time, but she keeps me going and pushes me to overcome any obstacle or boundary that's in front of me and honestly, we all have that inside of us."

Britney Spears' Father Forces Leading Fan Site to Shut Down

Jordan Miller -- the owner and webmaster of Britney Spears' most popular fan site, BreatheHeavy.com -- has spent the past five years supporting the singer, but he's about to be shut down by the pop star herself.
Although Miller asserts that the sole purpose of the site is "to support the icon of our generation, Britney Spears, and to continuously stick by her through the good and bad," Spears' father Jamie has taken legal action over some of the content.
"I have been battling the conservatorship Britney is currently placed under for months now," Miller wrote in a message to fellow fans on the site's homepage Friday. "When I did not conform to the requests and demands Britney’s management and father, Jamie Spears, recently put upon BreatheHeavy to stay quiet, they in turn became angry and malicious, launching, what I feel is an unjust attack, against me and my website."
He received a legal notice from Jamie’s lawyers pressuring him to dismantle the site by 3 p.m. PST Friday, or face an injunction, claiming they will pursue legal action by Jamie, who is allowed to do so as her conservator.
Miller also wrote that Brad Rose, the lawyer representing Spears in this case, told him in a telephone conversation that "you are an uber fan who’s gone a little too far."
Spears' legal team claims the site is "replete with willful, unauthorized" use of copyrighted lyrics to songs as well as video and audio recordings and photos of Spears.
"This entire site thrives because of you, the fans, who support Britney by buying tickets to her show, merchandise and music," he wrote. "Sadly, your hard-earned money that goes to supporting your favorite celebrity, is now money being used to potentially sue me, a major fan and supporter of Britney Spears, and hide fans from knowing the truth."

He added: "This conservatorship Britney is placed under, which controls every aspect of her life, is now clenching the future of her biggest fansite," Miller writes. Because his site, which is a non-profitable endeavor, costs a minimum of $350 per month to run, he is asking viewers to donate funds until "the situation has been handled."
If the site remains online, Spears' legal team says they will pursue damages and "injunctive relief in connection with the blatant violation of her rights of publicity and privacy."

That's right, 40-year-old Jennifer Aniston has been named as the most bewitching Hollywood woman in a new poll. She even beat the hotter than hot Megan Fox (who came in at number two) to the top spot in the poll undertaken by men's magazine Details. Gisele Bundchen was positioned in third place. SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE star Freida Pinto was fourth, while Kim Kardashian was fifth.

Now that she and John Mayer are done for good, Jennifer Aniston is said to be weighing her options for becoming a mother, and she’s not looking for another relationship anytime soon.

Instead, an insider revealed to Life & Style that the “He’s Just Not That Into You” actress is considering everything from adoption to in vitro fertilization. “She’s working out how she wants to proceed. But one thing is definite: She wants a baby, and she wants one soon.”

Of course, Jen would’ve liked to have had a child with Mayer. “Yes, she was hoping to have a baby with him. But I think deep down she knew he probably wasn’t ready to settle down and start a family.”
But now that she’s single, Aniston isn’t wasting any time figuring out the best way to motherhood. “She knows the one luxury she doesn’t have right now is time. She’s willing to become a single mother.”

Emily is ready to act her age

MELBOURNE actor Emily Browning is almost the antithesis of today's gen Y actors: she is repeatedly told she's not "bubbly" enough, says she hates smiling cheesily on the red carpet, and happily combines working on her student mates' films with acting alongside some of Hollywood's biggest names.
Her big international break came in 2004 when, after a respectable number of Australian TV and telemovies for the Hallmark Channel, she was cast as the lead in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events with Jim Carrey. After rave reviews in a box-office smash, she decided that, rather than moving to Los Angeles to follow work and a macrobiotic diet, she would return home to finish high school in suburban Melbourne.
Now she's back in another Hollywood outing, The Uninvited, but while she's happily on the promotional circuit talking it up, she says she has no desire to do films back to back. "I know it sounds obvious, and probably like a lie, but I don't like doing this only for the money," she says. "I'm just waiting for something that's perfect." Since filming The Uninvited, a slick remake of Korean horror film A Tale of Two Sisters, the 20-year-old has been travelling with her boyfriend, reading books and thinking about going to university.
"We filmed in 2007, and at the time it was what I wanted to do. Now, I don't know what I want to do. I'm reading some scripts and mostly I'm just like, 'meh'," she says. "I haven't enrolled at uni yet, because it's tricky knowing when a great film's going to come along. Ideally, it would be awesome to find the perfect film this year and then go to uni next year." In the meantime, she's happy hanging around Melbourne and "you know, renting my first house, that kind of thing".
"I'm definitely not a Hollywood type making lots of money. I don't drive, I ride a bike and wear cheap clothes," she says, before panicking: "Oh God, now I sound like someone saying, 'I'm so normal!"'
She doesn't, of course. Browning merely sounds, to use a word horribly outworn by celebrities who aren't, grounded. But she's already learnt to be wary. "I'm quite awkward in interviews," she says. "I had one woman journalist ask me, 'Would you ever be naked in a film?' and I said, 'Um, not fully naked, but it depends. I could go topless, I'm fine with that.' That came out as, 'Emily really wants to get her tits out!"' Browning is clearly not after that kind of role. Her past film choices reveal a cast of decidedly quirky characters.
