Former Major League Baseball star Sammy Sosa sure looks different lately. We don’t recall him having bleached skin back in his late 1990s, home run heyday.

That’s because he didn’t. But Sammy Sosa photos taken at an event in Las Vegas last week revealed a surprising, comically light skin pigmentation on him.

While no cause has been concretely established at this time, some fans have speculated that Sosa’s rampant steroid use in the ’90s and 2000s is behind this.

Many have posited, even though they can’t prove it, that steroid use could dramatically increase an individual’s likelihood of becoming symptomatic with vitiligo.

That rare chronic disorder, which causes cells responsible for skin pigmentation to halt functioning, has gained much notoriety because of Michael Jackson.

It was reported in June that Sosa, who rose to fame as prolific home run hitter in the late ’90s, tested positive for steroids in 2003, to the surprise of no one.

The Chicago Tribune quotes Rebecca Polihronis, an acquaintance of Sosa, who claims that that “he is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin.”

“He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin,” Polihronis said. “Women have it all of the time. He was surprised he came out looking so white. I thought it was a body double. Part of (the photo appearance) is just the lighting.”

Kicking off her week with a flight out of town, Hilary Swank was spotted at the Los Angeles airport earlier this day (November 9).

The “Million Dollar Baby” actress sported a casual look in camouflage pants, black boots, and a black long sleeve top while carrying a Chanel dress bag.

Later tonight, an in-depth interview with Swank and James Lipton airs on BRAVO’s “Inside the Actors Studio” at 7/6c.

The 35-year-old actress dishes on her personal fitness regimen to working with Clint Eastwood to what it was like playing such notable, emotional roles including “Million Dollar Baby” and “Boys Don’t Cry.”

And just when we thought it couldn’t get any uglier!

Peter Andre is furious with ex-wife Jordan as she recently revealed she had an abortion while they were married last year!

Apparently, a doctor told her that there were “complications” with her pregnancy so she made the decision to have an abortion, although Pete is adamantly against it.

Jordan said in the interview:

“I’ve lost quite a few babies with Pete and I’ve had to have terminations with Pete. When I fell pregnant after surgery, my body wasn’t ready for it. I’ll always be worried that I’ll miscarry again.”

Pete sees her revelation as “the ultimate betrayal” and thinks its despicable that she told something so private for money. Jordan was reportedly paid 50,000 pounds for the interview.

A source says:

“Pete has always been passionately anti-abortion and Jordan knows that. It’s terrible she feels the need to talk about this so publicly. It drags up a whole lot of emotions for Pete when he just wants to move on. Pete keeps thinking about those lost children. Everyone knows how much he cares about kids. It’s so insensitive. And she wonders why the marriage is over.”

According to her friends, Jordan is VERY casual about contraception and has had more than one abortion and several miscarriages already!

Jordan is also rumored to appear on the latest installment of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here that begins next Sunday for 450,000 pounds! She appeared on the show back in 2004, which is where she met Pete.

Andre will undoubtedly be taking care of the children while she’s away.

Pete’s certainly coming out of this divorce looking MUCH superior than his ex-wife!

Let the excitement over New Moon truly get started!

The cast of this November 20 release kicked off its nationwide mall tour last week, as various stars will stop in various cities and answer questions from fans.

The beloved trio of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner kicked things off on Friday, appearing in Los Angeles and putting to rest rumors that there was any tension among the group.

Stewart opened up more than usual during the press conference. Here are bits and pieces of what she told reporters and screaming fans in attendance:

Bella grows up: “What I really love about New Moon is that you see this girl build herself back up and by the time she makes this sort of rash decision to spend eternity with a vampire she’s in a position where you actually believe her… She grows up.”

Edward and Bella break up: “That was the scariest thing. I was almost as worried about messing it up than I was about what I actually should have been thinking about which was the issues that Bella is dealing with. Reading it, it’s so iconic. There’s nothing like that moment in reality even. It’s not even like a normal breakup scene.

“I know what’s it like to get broken up with but I don’t know what it’s like to get broken up with by a vampire who I’ve now been physically and chemically modified by. Suddenly you take an addict, you take whatever they’re addicted to away from them and there’s withdrawal. So that was the most intimidating scene in the entire motion picture.”

Lautner steps up: “He’s so confident and the nicest guy that I’ve ever met… he’s the funnest guy I’ve ever hung out with. He’s great. I’m so proud of him.

To Bella, girls can look up: “I think that Bella is such a good character for girls not to look up to because it’s not looking up. The fact that she’s normal, and I think the most typically relatable thing is that she’s awesome and she doesn’t know it and she’s very sort of confident but also not arrogant… I think she’s a good example for a young girl.”

There’s already Eclipse build-up: “Just as soon as you think you’re going to get the same story it’s sort all of a sudden that it completely changes. Bella is much more back to herself. She’s content now. She’s comfortable and self-assured in a way that she wasn’t in New Moon.

“I think what I really love about Eclipse, what was interesting for me to explore, was different levels of love and acknowledging that the ideals that you maybe had a tiny while ago aren’t true.”

We can’t wait. But let’s focus on New Moon for now. Let’s especially focus on the fact that Pattinson was actually all smiles, all day. See what we mean below:

Turns out the tapes Michael Lohan released to the media last week of a distressed Lindsay were intended to bring in $$$$$ for Papa Lohan!

Lohan allegedly “demanded” $100,000 while shopping around the taped convos to multiple media outlets, but eventually settled with giving them for free… in exchange for a paid interview with the site. That’s like when celebs get paid for photos but don’t get paid to “blab” Makes no sense!
