We have witnessed Jason and Melai’s love story inside Kuya’s house in Pinoy Big Brother Double Up. ABS-CBN continues to follow their story with the newest reality, comedy, and drama tv series titled “Melason In Love” starring Melisa Cantiveros and Jason Francisco. Melason In Love is a first ever Reality Serye show broadcast on ABS-CBN starting February 22, 2010 weekday morning at 10 A.M., Saturday Nights at 10 P.M. and weeknight at 6:30 P.M. over Studio 23. Narrated and Hosted by Bianca Gonzales. It features behind the scenes footage after the PBB Big Night and few of guesting programs in all ABS-CBN shows of Jason and Melisa as will as the rest of the Big Five, Paul Jake, Tibo, and Johan. Currently, the ex-big five housemates are still inside the PBB house for Kuya wants to witness their life as the newest Filipino celebrities.

With this show, followers of the Melason love team who are asking these questions: Are Jason and Melai’s feelings for each other true? And will Melason’s love survive the outside world? will be answered by the reality show Melason In Love. Just like The Truman Show, Jason and Melai will be placed in a controlled environment where all the people they will meet are accomplices. Because of this, we will see Melason’s candid and spontaneous reactions to different situations. And by the end of the season, we will find out if their love is true or not. As the first reality show in ABS-CBN’s morning block, Melason In Love will change the landscape of morning viewership.

Sarah Lahbati and Steven Silva are the ‘StarStruck V’ Ultimate Winners

From thousands of applicants of StarStruck V, the contenders were trimmed down to fourteen StarStruck challengers then further to only 6 contestants known as final 6 in the last 2 weeks run of the show. And on the final week, to the Final 5 survivors namely Rocco Nacino, Enzo Pineda, Steven Silva, Sarah Lahbati and Diva Montelaba where the newest Ultimate Male Survivor and Ultimate Female Survivor were chosen.

Last Sunday, February 21, 2010, “Sturstruck V - The Final Judgment’ was held at Araneta Coliseum and proclaimed, Steven Silva and Sarah Lahbati as the Ultimate winners for the 5th season of the Starstruck series. Both winners will receive 1.5 million pesos and a contract with GMA-7. The rest of the final five and other avengers will become the new batch of next big celebrities in Kapuso Network.

Performancers on this final judgement were the Final 5 and the Avengers with special guests Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Nancy Jane, Jay-R, Kyla and other kapuso stars. StarStruck V is GMA’s original and innovative reality-based artista search. Hosted by Raymond Gutierrez, actor Dennis Trillo and the equally talented actress Carla Abellana.

Panday Kidz starring Buboy Villar, Sabrina Man and Julian Marcus Trono

GMA-7 produced a television sequel based on another Carlo J. Caparas classic novel “Ang Panday.” The new tv series is titled “Panday Kidz” starring three leading child star of the Kapuso network, Buboy Villar, Julian Trono and Sabrina Man. February 22, 2010 is the premiere of this newest tv series and will see a new generation of Pinoy superheroes through GMA-7’s latest telefantasya, Panday Kids. The story of Panday Kidz revolves around three ordinary kids prophesied to combat evil and preserve the Panday spirit. It begins after the end of reign of the evil Lizardo in the world. Flavio, the original Panday, was not heard of anymore after defeating his chief nemesis. Tasked to safe keep the sword are the “Eskrimadors,” an order of swordsmen known for their exceptional sword-fighting skills.

For a total of 19 weeks or 133 days duration of Pinoy Big Brother Double Up!, the third regular season of Pinoy Big Brother, which began on October 4, 2009 on ABS-CBN hosted by Toni Gonzaga, Mariel Rodriguez, and Bianca Gonzalez. Finally, Filipinos have chosen, Melisa as the big winner of the new season. From thousands who auditioned from various cities in the Philippines, as well as the cities of Madrid, Milan, Dubai, Tokyo and San Francisco, a total of twenty-six housemates have entered the Big Brother House and only five housemates remained known as Big 5 on its last week where the big winner was declaired.

Melisa Cantiveros, or sometimes Melai or Isay, (b. April 6, 1988) is a 21-year-old student, part-time instructor, and funny lady from General Santos City. She is the big winner with 32.08% - 1,226,695 text votes.

Paul Jake Castillo (b. December 22, 1984) is a 25-year-old businessman from Metro Cebu. He is the Second Big Placer with 27.31% - 1,044,295 text votes

Jason Veron Marasigan Francisco (b. October 11, 1987) is 22-year-old thug from Oriental Mindoro. He is the Third Big Placer with 24.97% - 954,961 text votes.

Johan Morielle Santos (b. June 1, 1987) is a 22-year-old working student from Quezon City. He is the Fourth Big Placer with 7.94% - 303,751 text votes.

Steve “Tibo” Jumalon (b. December 31, 1975) is a 34-year-old father of three from Cagayan de Oro. He is the Fifth Big Placer with 7.69% - 294,161 text votes.

Melai was proclaimed as the big winner live in “Big Date on the Big Night” at Ninoy Aquino Stadium on Saturday, February 13, 2010. She will receive an LCD TV set, an Asian tour package, a business package, a house and lot, and PHP 1 million in cash. He will also donate another 1 million pesos to a charity of her choice.

Finally the viewers of Pinoy Big Brother - Double Up! have spoken for their Big Five housemates. Last night, February 6, 2010, it was Mariel, (Marielle Sorino, born November 29, 1988, a 21-year-old mother from Davao) who got evicted in the final eviction night of PBB (season 3).

Now, the last 5 housemates left inside Pinoy Big Brother house are Melisa, Jason, Johan, Paul Jake and Tibo. The viewers then will cast their votes through text and online voting to choose the Big winner for this season. Who will be that housemate? Will, watch the big night on your TV or live at Ninoy Aquino Stadium this coming Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010.

“We Are The World” song remake for Haiti

25 years after the original, charity anthem ‘We Are The World’ has been given a hip-hip, pop twist by top artists, including Celine Dion, Jonas Brothers and Wyclef Jean. The stars have re-recorded the 80s hit to raise money for Haiti.

The music industry is looking back a generation in order to raise money for the earthquake-ravaged nation. Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones are honoring the 25th anniversary of the song “We Are the World” by recording a remix to benefit Haitian earthquake victims, the Guardian reports. Like its 1985 original, which raised money for African famine relief, this star-studded iteration will include a song and video. Richie and Jones want to team with Usher, Natalie Cole, John Legend, and organizers are asking nominees and other stars to stay in Los Angeles for an extra night after the Grammy awards to participate. Michael Jackson, who co-wrote the song, is expected to be integrated as well. “We Are the World” will be released alongside charity tracks by Simon Cowell, and by the unlikely trio of Jay-Z, Bono, and Rihanna, which performs at Friday’s telethon, co-hosted by the equally unlikely trio of George Clooney, Wyclef Jean, and Anderson Cooper.
