MobiTV-Who Watches Tv On Their Smartphone Anyways?

I was looking for new apps for my HTC Fuze and i came across MobiTV.

I watch the Live sports on ESPN Mobile TV but there is also Breaking news on MSNBC and FOX News,and Popular full-length shows like "Lost" on ABC and "The Office" on NBC.

You can watch live TV wherever you are but I watch tv while im in boring classes. The other channel it includes are the Discovery Channel, NBC Sports, the Weather Channel, CNBC, the Disney Channel, Toonworld TV Classics and many more. This is a great app for people who don't like missing their shows because they away from the Tv alot

This apps is available for Pocket pc and Blackberry. Check this app out and tell me what you think of it.

Acer plans to put out its first Smartphone

The Acer handset expected to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress is no more than a rebadge of a device obtained through its acquisition of E-Ten. The Glofiish DX900 was announced in mid-2008 with dual-SIM support, GPS, a 3 megapixel camera, and a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen riding a Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. Seems like everyone is trying to get in on this smart phone era. Lets just hope they can keep up.

Is the Helio Ocean 2 even worth looking at?

The Helio Ocean has came out with a sequel to original that came out nearly two years ago. It still has its dual slide design, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS and well-integrated messaging app challenging phones on both sides of the feature.But can it compete with the new samrt phones in 2009.

The phone mite look the same but it's offering a lot more than an MySpace app to lure in users this time, with 2GB of internal storage, touch controls and a slew of software tweaks. Its sure a whole lot better than the first. It has a better media player that allows you to play music in the background as you text, browse, run that opera. It also pauses the music if you play a youtube video and resume when the video is finished.

As for app side of things there's nothing thats really just exciting, although Buddy Beacon 2.0 proved much more useful, thanks to a new Facebook and the free WHERE widgets offering up anything from ticket info to weather forecasts or local gas prices. TellMe looks to be subscription only, however in our testing its voice recognition proved top notch and easy to use, giving the same information you'd find in the Google Maps app, but with just one button press and a word into the mic required.
YouTube, MySpace, File Viewer and the Opera browser are also back, Helping to shift things in favor of the Ocean 2 are Helio's exclusive services, while Helio Connect doesn't replace a full fledged app, one tough of the flame button brings customized news and social network access from the main menu, while Helio Up makes sure your pictures and movies go straight to Flickr / Facebook / YouTube or any combination desired. But, All in all, this is a good media phone , if thats all you're looking for in a phone.

Palm Pre is Soon to come..Has to put iphone to shame

Palm announced its new long awaited Palm Pre and has released pics of it. This phone from what i heard is actually the iphone killer supposely The phone has a 3.1-inch 320 x 480 touch screen. It has a full QWERTY keyboard slides out from the phone too. You can flip the phone on its side for accelerometer-sensed widescreen browsing like the iphone.

The phone is running Palm's all-new webOS platform, with a new OMAP CPU which Palm claims provides laptop-style power, and which juices the phones smooth transitions, scrolling and app-switching. Other features include WiFi, GPS, 8GB of built-in flash storage. There's a 3 megapixel camera with LED flash, mass storage-friendly microUSB plug and a 3.5mm headphone jack, but most exciting is the wireless charger -- a first for a mainstream phone.

The phone is exclusive at launch for Sprint in the first half of 2009. Dont know how much its going to be yet. Check out this video comparing the Palm Pre with the Iphone.

Keep up with Gas Prices with GasBot

Good News Android Users!! I found a great useful app called GasBot. Its used to check gas prices in all of the gas stations around you.

GasBot is a useful feature to have if you're a budget or there is a specific gas station you like. It is also easy to use. All you have to do is open up the program on your G1 and select from 2 search options. It will you you the cheapest gas prices from low to high. The 2 main features i mentioned earlier are search by Location and by Address.

This application seems like a great way to make find the cheapest gas. It's well worth the seven dollars.

Is Blackberry's first touch screen phone unbreakable or just a bunch of hype?

My Friend just got a Blackberry Storm and has been bragging to me all about the phone. So I did some research on the phone and decided to but it and test it out. Before I tested it out i already knew it was

One thing i was upset about with this device was that it wasn't WIFI capable but the screen texting is one of the best I've seen. The Blackberry Storm also has a fast 3g network (even faster than Iphone 3G). The screen scrolling isn't as smooth as the iphone but it is still good.

This phone is a good look in my eyes. the speaker is loud and clear so you can hear when talking on it. It has the largest and best reception from verizon. The phone has fast internet even though it doesn't have WIFI. Check out the video below of the comparsion of the iphone and Storm

Nokia out did themselves with the N97

I currently have a N95 and I like the phone but when i seen the N97, I told myself I had to have this phone. .I like the video ringers so I can put my favorite music video as my ringer. I especially like fact it has a keyboard and 32GB of internal memory. What can you say besides WOW!! There's alot more features on this phone. Nokia didn't leave out anything. Is there a such thing as a iPhone killer?

Today I was going through my daily route of looking through the forums to see whats going on in the world of mobiles and realized everyday I see a new post or thread about a new touch screen phone coming out that's suppose to be the iPhone killer. Alot of people seem to think it is the Google Android OS (G1) because its coming out with new applications and is getting better daily. Others think the so called "iPhone killer" is the HTC Touch Pro. I really don't too much have a opinion on the situation. I think Apple must have done a great job with the iPhone because all these other phone companies and people are using the iphone as the bar regardless of its features. The iPhone in eyes is basically a trend. It can't do what some basic phones can do such as mms messaging, video recording, tethering, voice dialing, pic message, copy and paste. So I really feel that isn't that great of a smart phone. I do believe it is a hot phone, but it all depend on the way you look at the phone.

The HTC touch is ten times better than the Iphone

I recently got to test the iPhone replacement or otherwise the HTC touch and I really was impressed with what i seen. This is one of the best HTC phones to date. I really like the sleek and smooth design of this phone. I can just picture myself walking around campus getting all the girls numbers with this phone. I have a review video below. Can the Iphone really be unlocked?

There's a ongoing conflict about whether the iphone can be unlocked or not. I was interested myself whether it could or not even though I use AT&T as my provider. So on my quest to find out the truth i put to test myself and found it is true. It can be done. The unlock process is really easy and only took a few minutes. I had no problems with it. Once you put your new SIM in the phone, you have to go through the usual activation process.

We tested with an active T-Mobile SIM -- after the hack was finished and we reactivated we immediately got full bars and the T-Mobile carrier info popped up in the top bar. Everything is otherwise the same, except the menu system now has a couple more options. The root menu has Carrier settings where you can select your preferred network if you don't want to roam.

The General -> Network menu now has an EDGE network settings area where you can input your carrier's APN and username / password. We put in our T-Mobile info, and were immediately online. Visual voicemail isn't in the cards -- sorry. That was, of course, to be expected because it's a special AT&T network-specific feature right now. When you hit the voicemail button you are taken immediately to your carrier's default voicemail line though, and that works just like it would on any other phone.

Everything is confirmed as working on a non-AT&T network: SMS send / receive, internet (including Safari, Mail, Google maps, etc.). YouTube doesn't work out of the box, but that's to be expected. (YouTube is the only app you have to activate.)

The 1 Click iPhone Unlock guys claim this method is restore (though not necessarily upgrade) resistant. We have no way of knowing whether Apple will be able to disable this SIM unlock with future iPhone software updates, but we can confirm that it is restore-resistant. We performed a full restore (v1.0.2) on our iPhone and successfully activated it using an inactive AT&T SIM. After fake-activating our iPhone, you merely pop out the AT&T SIM, put in the foreign SIM of your choosing, reactivate, and you're done. Restoring from an iPhone backup in iTunes worked perfectly despite the lock and foreign SIM. The only thing to notice was the phone number is now listed as "n/a" in iTunes. The 1 Click iPhone Unlock Software is really cheap and afforable compared to other unlock software. Check out the video below for the proof.

Is AT&T Quickfire the new SideKick?

The quickfire is supposed to be released on Nov. 11 but there are alot of people who have them already. The AT&T Quickfire is a slider with QWERTY keyboard. It features a color touch display, 1.3 MP cam, the ability to send/receive email, mobiTV and AT&T Navigator. To me this phone looks like a newer version of the sidekick but its made by UtStarcom. The device is suppose to be offered in colors of silver, orange, and green. The device is really affordable and looks pretty good to me. The UtStarcom device is selling for $100.00 after a $50 MIR with a new 2 year contract.

I know they say Diamonds are a girl's best friend but as far as I can tell Diamond phones are Japan's best friend. Japan's Softbank mobile created a Tiffany's mobile phone studded with 537 diamonds,a total of 18.34 carats diamonds. Eight of theses limited edition phones were made and were all sold at about 13 million yen each ($134,000) on November 1. Eight were sold on Nov. 3rd. I wish I had the kind of money to buy a diamond cell phone.

T-mobile phones really aren't exciting right now since the release of the Side Kick LX. They need a new age phone that could sett off their phone sales. Everyone I know complains about T-mobile not having any high-tech phones. Well they came out with just this. It is the Google Android or in other words (G1 google phone).

After getting to play with the phone for a while I can say this phone is a pretty good phone that a lot people are going to love. Alot of people are love the swivel-flip of the phone. It's a really cool design. It extends back and forth showing the keyboard under the screen. Most of the complaint of this phone are about the keyboard because the its hard to type because of the raised section on the right of the phone gets in the way. The trackball on the phone is a good scroller its even better than the Blackberry Pearl's. It also has touchscreen like the iphone with capacitve touch so there's no need for a stylus. The phone has a Wi-fi feature that work as good any other phone on the market. It also has 3G capalities for high speed internet. It also has GPS called Gmaps. It has most of what you'll find in the desktop version, including Satellite, Traffic and Street View. Once you turn on GPS, the phone's fairly decent at locating where you are even indoors. You can also use your gmail account on this phone with the Google Mail Application. It has a music player for all you mp3 lovers. All in all, T-mobile has created a internet based phone to compete with all the other high-tech phones on the market and they did a good job!!

The Apple iPhone is a gorgeous looking phone with all the latest features installed in it. As I walk around campus it seem everyone has this phone or a phone that looks like it. Teens find it very cool to use because of the tilt function and touchscreen texting and screen scrolling. It has Bluetooth capilablities and USB data transfer. The connection is GSM so has good reception even when out in the boonies.. This handset can be used for e-mailing purposes but it doesnt seem to have multi media messages which really sucks. The 2 Megapixel camera takes great pictures. It has I tunes for playing latest songs and music. There also alot of ways to download programs, videos, and many application. I love the FM radio feature for listening to my favorite radio station. The battery of the phone is capable of rendering standby of 250hr and talk-time of 8 hr. This is for all you teens out there who spend alot of time texting and talking on the phone but watching videos can really run down your battery. The small sleek design makes it more easier to carry. There are also many face plates and carrying hostlers to make your iphone unique from others. There's also ways to unlock the phone if you don't want to use AT&T service.
