How to root Asus Zenfone Max Z010D

Rooting provides power to the user over their devices improve the battery life and speeds, you can also underclock or overclock you phone and even the most simplest task of removing pre-installed apps on your phone to free up some space.

These are just a few benefits of rooting your device, Oh almost forgot you can use some apps that your unrooted device can't run

one of the best reasons why I root mine.

I just recently rooted my device which is an old Asus Zenfone Maxx Z010D which was released a couple of years ago.

I love the battery life on this smartphone.

Before trying these steps please be reminded that this may not work for every one so please proceed at your own risk. By rooting your phone’s warranty will be void.

So lets start I’m gonna go over the steps on what i did to root the phone:

1. Download and install this app on your device this will unlock Bootloader on your Asus Zenfone Max Z010D http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/ZC550KL/ZC550KL_8939_SIGNED_Android_M_UnlockTool_2016_0706.apk

2. Gather all the needed resources and downloads the needed files everything will be in this link.

3. Extract the Zip files on your computer:

4. From the "drivers" folder, install DPinst_x64.exe or DPinst_x84.exe depending on your computer OS.

5. Copy the contents inside the "ww_root" folder and paste it inside "tools" folder.

6. Power off the Asus Zenfone Max

7. Press Power button and the Volume up to boot into CSC mode.

8. Connect the Asus Zenfone Max to the computer using the USB cable. The phone should be in CSC mode (from step 6)

9. On the Computer, go to the "tools" folder, and press "SHIFT + Right-click" in any blank area in the window, then select "Open Command Window here".

This will open the command prompt at that directory.

10. Make sure the phone is still connected to the computer by USB and is still in CSC mode.
Type the following commands:

Command 1:
D:\Asus Rooting\tools\fastboot erase system

Command 2:
D:\Asus Rooting\tools\fastboot flash system system.img
This will take some time. Wait till completion.

Command 3:
D:\Asus Rooting\tools\fastboot reboot
The phone will now reboot.
The phone can be disconnected from the computer now.

All done, now to test it download rootchecker on play store and run it. This will confirm if your device has been rooted.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3, this two new phone both have a dual-core from Krait running at different clockspeed, 5.8 Mega at 1.4Ghz also kown as i9152 while the larger Mega 6.3 dubbed as I9205 at 1.7Ghz. Both of these phone runs a jelly bean v 4.2.2

Huawei brings their newest Smartphone which runs on Windows 8 this phone can be compared with HTC S8 or X8 that also runs on the same platform. Huawei collaborated with Windows to bring this phone to the Philippine market. The Huawei Ascend W1 clocks at 1.2GHz with it's Krait dual-core processor. Like some of the smartphones available Ascend W1 supports a micro SIM, sad to say but this phone doesn't have a dual-SIM feature which is quite understandable, cause there still no Windows phone with dual-SIM capability.

The design of this smartphone is very similar to other Windows 8 Phone like Nokia Lumia 520 and HTC S8, A soft matte finish of brightly colored hues Blue and Red aside from White and Black. This separates them from android phones making it quite unique. There is also a dedicated camera button on the left side, that makes it easier for you to catch your memorable pictures.

The Huawei Ascend W1 has a RAM of 512MB a which works fine with it's Windows 8 OS. It's Internal Memory is 4GB which is quite low, even if it supports a 32GB MicroSD for you can't save apps on the SD card. The only file that can be saved on the SD card are movies, music, pictures, documents, and etc. but the apps always goes to the local storage.

The other features of Ascend W1 are WiFi 802.11b/g/n, a 5MP camera with auto focus and LED flash located on the rear, and a front VGA camera on front, Bluetooth, A-GPS and GLONASS which is better than GPS. This smartphone also supports 3G.

The battery of Ascend W1 is a 1950mAh That can last up to 2 day with heavy used according to Huawei and 3 to 4 days with light to moderate use.
