Andrew Bogut absolutely killed the Celtics with 25 points, 17 rebounds, 4 blocks as Perk had no answer for the Aussie. Brandon Jennings only had 13 points, but I do like the kids balls as he jawed at KG as they were walking off the court.

The Celtics led 77-72 with 5:58 left in the 4th quarter. The Bucks then rattled off a 14-2 run over the next three minutes.

On the Celtics final possession, Milwaukee used a foul to give, and they did it with 3.9 seconds on the clock. Pierce got a decent look, but his shot rimmed out. Pierce had another game to forget as he only had 12 points.

Michael Finley had 5 points on another note.

Boy, that was almost embarrassing. However, Ray Allen and his perfect form knocked down a game winner with 17 seconds left. In fact, Ray Allen (25 points) nailed a pair of 3s in the final 90 seconds to lead the Celtics back from a 13 point fourth quarter deficit.

This game was frustrating as hell as Andre Blatche and Al Thorton had a combined for 47 points and were pretty much unstoppable. The Celtics had no answer for them and it was aggravating as hell. For 44 minutes of this game they were amazing, however the turnaround started happening at the 6 minute mark and the Cs closed the game on a 20-4 run.

The C’s really need to stop playing down to their competition and start blowing teams like the Wizards out. But a win is a win, and they are on a 4 game win streak. I’ll take it.

O.K. now that Michael Finley is on board, what does that mean.

Nothing really for the regular season. This move has been made for the exact move I’ve been saying, the playoffs. In all reality Michael Finley isn’t going to average more than 6 points for the Celtics and that may be a reach, however, Finley is a sure thing out there. We basically signed Fin, so if there is a necessary three in the playoffs he will hit it instead of Nate Robinson, or Tony Allen. For the past 4 years he hasn’t averaged more than 10 ppg, but he has been a critical player in the playoffs, and that’s all we need him for. So does this guarentee the Celtics win a championship? No. But it help our odds.

I’m sold, lets re-sign Nate the Great.

It was a great game for the Celtics, and the 3rd time the Celtics shellacked the Bobcats. I don’t understand why the Celtics can’t do this every game, they played a complete game and played stellar on both ends of the courts. The interesting thing about the score is that we had only 3 scorers in double figures; Pierce 27, KG 12 and Nate with 16.

The bench had 46 which is the second strong showing in a row, and if they can keep killing like this, watch out NBA. The three point shooting was on the Celtics side as they shot 10-16 and held Charlotte to 0-9. The Celtics D had 8 blocks, 10 steals and held Charlotte to 36% FG shooting.

Either way, this was an amazing game and it feels good to really run a team. And hopefully they can keep this up until friday when they play the Sixers.

This is why we brought in Nate Robinson. Nate had 9 of his 14 points in the 4th quarter. And Doc Rivers may have had his best coaching game of the season. With Kendrick Perkins out, he went with the hot hand and in this case that was the bench. The Celtics got a great effort (39 points) from their bench and stuck with Nate and Marquis Daniels till late in the 4th quarter and the second unit started the 4th quarter and rewarded Doc with a 17-6 run.

Rajon tied Tiny Archibald’s record withh 11 straight double doubles (points/ assists) when he finished with 15 points, 11 assists, and was 4/4 from the line in the final 24 seconds.

With Nate gaining more experience and the Celtics starting to get healthier, things aren’t as bad as everyone is making them out to be.

I love this. Michael Finley is 37 and has only played in 25 games this season, but I’m willing to look past that because he’s the man. He would also provide some stability in shooting for the second unit and take over that 3 spot. Come play-off time, you can never have too many 3 point shooters and too many veterans and Finley fits both of those.

I was in New York last week and didn’t see the Celtics lose to the lowly Nets but I read that the Celtics played flat again (even the the free throw discrepancy was stupid in favor of the Nets). Me always being optimistic about the Celtics thinks that you can’t go up until you hit rock bottom and let’s face it the Nets are rock bottom. This team is far too talented to keep losing even without Pierce. I really believe this will be a whole new team in the playoffs, and we will see the fire we saw when the big three came to Boston. The trend of blowing games will not happen in the playoffs and even though everyone says Sheed sucks and is a bust signing, he was really brought to the Celtics for the playoffs. I’m hoping he will be a completely different player in the second season much like he was in Detroit.

Yes this game shouldn’t have been close, yes there was no defense, blah, blah blah, who cares? The team who leads the NBA opponent scoring average can slip up every once in a while. With Paul Pierce’s injury keeping him out (that will be the next post) the Celtics scored the points, but blew a lead and made the end of the game a little interesting. Rajon Rondo is a godsend and he looks like he was had by making 11 million a year. The boy had 15 points and 15 assists and 3 steals, he is by far the MVP of the Celtics. Ray Allen is on a big fuck you tour to all of his naysayers by dropping a smooth 24 points and a monster block on Wilson Chandler at the end of the game that could have tied the game. Maybe the Celtics should threaten to trade Ray every game, since the deadline the man has been on fire.

As for Nate he has a blah game, I had way to high for his first game. He finished with 4 points, 2 steals on 2-7 shooting. I’m going to blame it on his lack of knowledge of the offense.

A win is a win.

We get to see the new look Knicks verse the injured Celtics tonight. I’m actually excited to see T-Mac and old friend Eddie House play against us. I’m not really worried about us losing because behind David Lee, T-Mac and Al Harrington the Knicks don’t have enough firepower to keep up with a Paul Pierceless Celtics team. I’m rooting for pierce not to play but here are the line ups:
PG C. Duhon 7.5 R. Rondo 14.0
SG T. McGrady 7.5 R. Allen
SF W. Chandler 15.4 T. Allen
PF D. Gallinari 14.0 K. Garnett
C D. Lee 20.1 K. Perkins 11.1

Nate Robinson was traded for this situation. Paul Pierce is going to be out, so he needs to pick up the slack and he will. Not only is he a prolific scorer, he is playing against his old team. I don’t want to get carried away with Nate, but it’s real hard not to.

Celtics 110- 97
Tommy Award: Nate Robinson
