      <content type="html">&lt;p&gt;&lt;img src="/assets/553/Bellewood.JPG" alt="Bellewood" /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Position Summary&lt;/strong&gt;: The President and Chief Executive Officer (the “CEO”) is charged with overall accountability, responsibility and authority for the management of the business and affairs of Bellewood in accordance with the strategic plan and objectives adopted and approved by the Board of Directors (the “Board”) and subject to oversight by the Board. The CEO ensures that the organization meets the requirements of the clients, who are the recipients of Bellewood services, and complies with applicable laws and regulations while fulfilling the organization’s mission and vision. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The CEO provides primary leadership and broad day to day direction of all functions of the organization, insuring a seamless and effective alignment of all services. The position provides executive decision making, is primarily responsible for the direction and implementation of strategic issues, and is critical in the areas of government and community relations, church relations, fund development, business and financial management, and working effectively with clients.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Candidates for the position should be able to provide strong leadership, knowledge and oversight of program offerings, and balance a strong “business sense” with having a heart for the important work being done to impact the lives of children and families. The successful candidate must also demonstrate the ability to be a collaborative team builder, focused on servant leadership in working with staff, board, volunteers, children, families and other key constituents on a statewide basis.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Reports to:&lt;/strong&gt;The CEO is appointed by and reports to the Board. The Board supervises the CEO, who serves Bellewood at the pleasure of the Board.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Direct Reports:&lt;/strong&gt; The CEO manages the senior executive team (Directors), who, at the CEO’s direction, have responsibility for conducting the business and affairs of Bellewood.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Organizational Duties and Responsibilities:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The CEO is responsible for:&lt;br /&gt;1. Fulfilling the mission, vision and strategic direction of Bellewood, engaging with and obtaining the approval of the Board for strategic initiatives, implementing and ensuring the organization’s effective operations, and keeping the Board informed in a timely manner of the progress of Bellewood on the attainment of or material deviations from the strategic goals.&lt;br /&gt;2. Developing Bellewood’s annual business plan and obtaining the approval of the Board for that plan, including the financial and budget requirements to achieve that plan and for delivery of results against that plan.&lt;br /&gt;3. Instituting transparency in Bellewood’s operations to engender public trust in financial stewardship and to provide the highest level of service to the clients served.&lt;br /&gt;4. Assuring the accuracy and integrity of Bellewood’s financial information, reporting and disclosure requirements, internal controls and management information systems.&lt;br /&gt;5. Complying with applicable legal, regulatory, ethical, internal and all other compliance requirements.&lt;br /&gt;6. Designing appropriate systems and controls to identify, and mitigating the principal business, financial, compliance, reputational and other significant risks facing Bellewood.&lt;br /&gt;7. Transforming the agency culture to be characterized by compliance, ethics, and integrity in service performance and the entrepreneurial activities of a volunteer led organization.&lt;br /&gt;8. Managing business operations and service delivery in Bellewood’s key lines of business to meet the strategic goals and objectives of the organization.&lt;br /&gt;9. Supervising, evaluating the performance and recommending the compensation of the senior executive team in concert with IRS requirements for non-profit organizations.&lt;br /&gt;10. Establishing effective fundraising programs and initiatives for corporate, government, and individual donors and instituting proper organizational stewardship of these gifts. Actively participating in the fund development process, especially related to major gift solicitations at the $10,000 level and higher.&lt;br /&gt;11. Speaking for Bellewood to enhance the organization’s public image and reputation, and strengthening and protecting the Bellewood brand.&lt;br /&gt;12. Partnering with local, state and national societies and leaders, when appropriate, within the faith-based children’s human services arena.&lt;br /&gt;13. Representing Bellewood’s interests with public officials at a local, state and federal level. This includes promoting and maintaining good working relationships with public officials, agency administrators and other individuals and institutions involved in the service to families and children.&lt;br /&gt;14. Possessing an understanding of the rules, regulations and process with the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Medicaid reimbursement programs.&lt;br /&gt;15. Maintaining the highest level of personal, professional and ethical standards, and assuring that the organization operates within those same standards.&lt;br /&gt;16. Church relations are a priority for this position, maintaining historical congregational and presbytery relationships while also building appropriate new partnerships with other churches who will support the mission.&lt;br /&gt;17. Overall, the CEO is responsible for overseeing professional development for staff, ensuring that a “team approach” is prevalent in the climate and culture of the organization, and that best practices are introduced and acted upon on a regular basis.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Minimum Job Requirements:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Education: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Per Commonwealth of Kentucky requirements, any person employed as an executive director shall possess the following qualifications:- A masters degree in business administration or a human services field from a college or university, supplemented by two (2) years of work experience in or management of a human services program related to working with families and children; or A bachelors degree in a human services field from a college or university, supplemented by four (4) years work experience in management of a human services program related to working with families and children. A masters degree is preferred.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Experience: It is preferred that this individual will possess a minimum of ten (10) years of successful combined social services and management experience, and the ability to understand and represent a faith-based children’s human services state-wide agency. Commitment to the mission of Bellewood Presbyterian Children’s Home is an essential expectation.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Specific Skills: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1.       <title>YouthBuild Louisville: Dedication of Education and Classroom Building</title>

Classroom Building in Smoketown.&amp;#160;
Louisville’s highly successful education and career training program
dedicated to championing young adults to build productive lives and sustainable
communities, YouthBuild Louisville, will dedicate a new Education and Classroom
Building on Friday, May 18&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; at 10:30am. Located at 812 Preston
Street, the new Building is part of YouthBuild Louisville’s commitment to the revitalization
of Smoketown and the development of a permanent campus for its nationally
recognized program for at-risk youth. &amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Open House on May 18&lt;sup&gt;th &lt;/sup&gt;and 19&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; will
feature tours of the campus, the new Education Building, and houses in the
neighborhood YouthBuild has remodeled or built. The Education Building includes
community meeting space, education and career training classrooms, and student
services and administrative offices. In addition, the Education Building will
house a Job Center for program students, the Smoketown neighborhood and
businesses, and, will be staffed by job counselors from Jewish Family and
Career Services. &amp;nbsp;The new campus teaching
and learning areas also include: outdoor classrooms, a green house, an urban
garden and orchard.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Since 2001,YouthBuild has worked with under-educated and
unemployed youth who want to complete their high school education and develop
skills to earn a living wage. YouthBuild has achieved national recognition for its
75% retention and 85% program completion rates. In 2010, YouthBuild initiated planning
for a $2.8 million capital campaign to fund a permanent home and green campus
in the Smoketown neighborhood. With $2 million of the goal completed, the events
on May 18-19&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; celebrate the opening of the YouthBuild Louisville Campus,

Construction on the second building, the Student Services Building, will begin
in late fall 2012 as funds are available. &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;With the completion of the Phase 2 building,
the project will be LEED certified.&amp;nbsp;
Cutting edge strategies have been used to develop the campus with

The Foundation will employ one college student during the next summer, fall, and spring terms.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Full- or part-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in accredited two- or four-year Indiana college or university are eligible to apply.       <title>Foundation to Hold Grant Application Workshop</title>

      <content type="html">&lt;p&gt;On Wednesday, May 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the Harrison County Community Foundation Conference Room, the HCCF staff will conduct a workshop on the grant application and process.   Any agency intending to apply in the fall grant cycle is encouraged to send a representative. Anyone interested in attending the workshop should RSVP by calling the Foundation office at (812) 738-6668 or emailing Anna Curts at annac@hccfindiana.org.  &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;     Applications for the fall grant cycle will be accepted after June 1 and must be delivered to the HCCF staff by 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, or they may be postmarked by Saturday, July 14th.  Grants should be announced in mid-September.  Applications and policies will be distributed at the workshop and will be available on the HCCF web site, &lt;a href="http://www.hccfindiana.org/"&gt;www.hccfindiana.org&lt;/a&gt; after May 1.    &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;     Grant requests of $200,000 or more are considered Signature Grants.  Applications for Signature Grants will be accepted November 1, 2012 through December 15, 2012. May also provide homeownership, budget, credit and debt management counseling to specific groups of clients in both group and one-on-one sessions.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1.	Performs comprehensive counseling in personal budgeting, credit management, debt management and savings programs in a professional, courteous, unbiased manner to specific groups of clients.&lt;br /&gt;2.	Provides coaching and motivation to encourage clients to stay on track with financial goals. Monitors client’s progress and recommends change of action plan where necessary to enhance client’s chance of reaching financial goals.&lt;br /&gt;3.	Manages HPI’s Employer Assisted Housing (EAH) programs, including loan servicing and follow-up. Coordinates provision of services to existing partners and supports the expansion of EAH partners.&lt;br /&gt;4.	Assists with managing grant implementation and monitoring for compliance and quality assurance.&lt;br /&gt;5.	Conducts weekly program orientations. Serves as an instructor to potential homeowners and assists with personal finance and homebuyer education classes.&lt;br /&gt;6.	Participates in Outreach with counseling staff to increase growth of the program.&lt;br /&gt;7.	Serves as Administrator for online eHome America. Manages registration and tracking of client fees. Responds to Client questions regarding use of eHome America and monitors/reports on Client program utilization of service.&lt;br /&gt;8.	Responsible for funding source data management. Works closely with Program Director and other key team members to support the complete and timely data management and reporting to many different funding sources and partners.&lt;br /&gt;9.	Utilizes Counselor Max and other data management systems to generate data used for reporting production and results of program. Responsible for auditing data and collection process to ensure data accuracy of reports.&lt;br /&gt;10.	Ensures reporting and billing procedures are followed in generating report data for State, Federal, as well as other funders and partners as applicable.&lt;br /&gt;11.	Develops and maintains tracking spreadsheet of current funding sources to include funding utilization and grant activity.&lt;br /&gt;12.	Performs staff outcomes and productivity tracking.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Associate degree in a related field with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Specialized training and experience with grant data management and the mortgage lending industry or personal financial counseling and coaching. NCHEC Certification required in Homeownership Counseling and Pre-purchase Homeownership Education. Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office. Experience in providing intake and/or case management services in a nonprofit setting.
