This week Ray discusses the ministry of the 2 witnesses and the war in heaven that follows their time of ministry during the tribulation. There is much debate as to who the witnesses are, but regardless of what their identities are, God gives them authority to do miracles and bring judgment to those left on the earth at that time.

Chapters 12 and 13 describe the war in Heaven and the setting up of the Satanic trinity here on earth as the devil attempts to duplicate the Holy Godhead of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

This week Ray discusses the opening of the 7th seal introduces the next series of judgments, the 7 trumpets. The trumpet sound is a symbol of power and authority (Ex. 19:16). We will see why these last 3 1/2 years is called the “Wrath of God”.

This week Ray discusses the scroll John sees in chapter 5 and the seven seals on it. A Roman person’s will was always sealed with 7 seals, this scroll is a will. The scroll is actually Christ’s deed and title to all creation.

God makes it clear that only Christ can redeem. No saint in glory, no man on earth, no statue…. None but Jesus Christ. No man in worthy. This is why when some want to pray to “saints” or pray through the name of the saints, makes no sense. It’s foolishness and dangerous. Why would we depend on men when we have the exalted Christ to lean on!

Christ is about to open the sealed book and judgment will fall on the world. People will not see this as it unfolds in heaven. People will go on their way, eating, drinking, sinning, and ignoring God’s Word. Then the Lamb will open the book and judgment will fall.

This book contains all the elements of a great thriller. In its pages you will find action, suspense, mystery, wonder, fear, drama, horror, and much excitement. While it takes a full 22 chapters for all the action to completely develop; John gives us A Sneak Preview Of Coming Attractions here at the very beginning. He wets our appetites for that which is coming our way in the remainder of the book.

In the first three verses, we are given a solid introduction to the content and purpose of this book. This book is a book about Jesus! When Jesus was here the first time, He was veiled. He was not recognized by most people as God, even though He was and is God in the flesh.

The book of Revelation tells us that the world has not seen the last of the Lord Jesus! He is coming again. When He comes the second time He is not destined for a cross, but for a crown. He is not coming as a suffering Lamb, but as a Sovereign Lord. He is not coming in shame and poverty, but in splendor and power. There is coming a day when Jesus Christ will come and be revealed to the whole world. They will see Him as He truly is.

John Strimple brought the message again this week and continues our impromptu series, 10. We need to be ready for anything. Always able to share the love of Jesus. Always prepared to be a servant. John Strimple brought the message today and he did amazing. He tackled a tough subject - TITHING - and he did it in such a gentle way. No doubt about it.... God's word does say that not giving as we should makes us "God Robbers". Not a place I ever want to be. The way John presented this message blew me away. It was inspiring, it made me want to give more.

Each of us have the responsibility to get alone with God by reading His Word (the Bible) and spending quality time with him in prayer. Going into 2009, Pastor Ray challenges each of us to commit to spend purposeful, intentional, and consistent time each and every day. How different will our lives be in 2009 if we do this? How different would our church be if everyone committed just 10 minutes of purposeful, intentional, and consistent time with God every day?
