Shenfield station to lunch at the Queen's Head by the river at Maldon (34 km). The 42 km return follows a more southerly route around the RHS garden at Hyde Hall. A total ascent of 587m and no significant hills (but a lot of rolling Essex countryside along quiet lanes) means the ride is not quite hilly.
Meet on Elizabeth Line Platform A at Liverpool Street EL station at 09.35 for the 09.41 train to Shenfield, arriving 10.25.(Oyster/Freedom friendly).

A 57km (36 mile) route with 535m (1754ft) ascent. We start at Ashford International and spend the morning going up & down rolling hills with beautiful views of the Kent countryside. We’ll have a late lunch at The Barn, Woolton Farm, Bekesbourne where you can sample local wines and ciders and/or just have a great lunch. After lunch we will cruise along the flat floodplain of the River Stour, through orchards, to Canterbury West.
Transport:

Outbound: 09.34 from Charing Cross arriving at Ashford International at 10.55 or 10.07 from London St Pancras arriving at Ashford International at 10.45.

Return:

From Canterbury West, trains back to St Pancras International, Victoria & Charing Cross
