A steady 62km (39 mile) ride through Kent with a few early hills to wake the legs up and a cracking pub lunch at the Nevill Bull in Birling right at halfway.
Pace will be around 16-18km/hour (10-12mph). Total 490m climbing. If you need to bail early, Rochester offers a perfectly respectable escape route. Second half of the ride is reasonably flat.

09:25 from Victoria arrives Swanley 09.53
09:29 Charing Cross calling at London Bridge at 09.38, arrives Swanley 09.59
FP/60+ holders travel free to Swanley.

Getting Back
Trains from Gravesend to:
London Bridge/Charing Cross/Victoria. Or hop on HS1 to St Pancras if you’re feeling flush.
