Fees will no longer be applied to vacuum accessories and razors under 250 grams have been moved to category 14 - Designated Very Small Items. Please refer to the Products Page for a full list of included products.

New Small Appliance Recycling Program Launch Date is October 1, 2011

The British Columbia Government has amended the provincial Recycling Regulation to officially change the launch date for the CESA Small Appliance Recycling Program to October 1, 2011. Based on this new program launch date, collection of accepted end-of-life (EoL) small and portable appliances and the introduction of fees for CESA members will now start on October 1, 2011. CESA Program Products List Updated

CESA program products list was updated on June 20, 2011 to include salt and pepper mills, spice grinders, barbeques and electric mascara devices among other products. Dates have been posted for the upcoming CESA member webinars. Wednesday June 29th 10 am - 11:30 am PT Topic: Registering for CESA - a step by step guide to registration as well as answering any questions about the program. Geared towards retail members but open to all potential members. Wednesday July 6th 8 am - 9:30 am PT Topic: Reporting for CESA - a step by step guide to filing your reports and payment options. Changes have been made to the CESA product categories and fees.

Changes to CESA program product categories and fees have been made. On May 12th 2011, program products that were deemed significantly smaller than their natural product categories have been placed in a new category 14 - Designated Very Small Items. Also, the microwave category was split into two categories, based on size. Portable fans were removed from category 9 - Air Treatment, and into their own category 10. Updates have been made to the Kitchen Countertop, Garment Care, Air Treatment, Full-Size Floor Cleaning, Personal Care and Time Measurement product Categories

Mini Fridges, Home Wine Bars, and Wine Chillers NOT Accepted in the CESA Program

As of January 7th, 2011, Mini Fridges, home wine bars, and wine chillers have been added to the CESA 'Products NOT Accepted' list.
