Since my move to New York I have had a recent addiction with buying SHOES! There are just way too many options here, and I want them all! Seriously, I don't even buy clothes, just SHOES. Haha well here are two new favorites that I have added to my collection: Valentino Studded Leopard Heels, and Miu Miu Glitter Oxfords with the amazing bedazzled heel! I even had a little run in with Leandra Medine aka the Man Repeller at a Dannijo sample sale the other day and she told me she liked my shoes (another pair however, I will show them soon I promise!).

I've never worn a lot of makeup, but when I do I tend to keep it as simple and natural as possible. Over the years I've collected tips and product suggestions from friends, families, and make-up artists. These are the essentials that I love. They are easy to work with and create a healthy, natural and glowing look. I think I've accumulated a nice little collection and I'll explain why...

1. NARS Blush in Deep Throat
Of course Orgasm is the infamous-universely-flattering blush by NARS but I like Deep Throat because the peach tone complements my skin better. Deep Throat is a pretty peach color that helps create a nice glow on my cheeks. I like to set it with translucent powder (see below) to create a lively flush on the cheeks.

2. MAC Face and Body Foundation in C7
I use this for light and natural coverage. You can apply it easily with your fingers and it doesn't make you're skin feel dry or flakey.

3. Nars Bronzer in Casino
Nars packaging is so seductive! I love how its so simple but significant and bold. Casino is dark brown bronzer with a shimmery golden undertone. It's matte and I love it because it looks natural on my skin tone!

4. MAC Prep+Prime Translucent Powder
I use this to set my makeup. I love it because this stuff makes your skin looks flawless. It blurs all your pores so your skin looks perfect! It's looks like baby powder but it genuinely works so well! This product takes shine away so it creates a matte look. It actually works. Like for real. Go buy it.

5. MAC Mineralize Powder Natural Skinfinish in Medium Deep
Two words: natural glow! This stuff makes your skin look good and its good for your skin. What more could you want?

6. Chance by Chanel, Eau Fraîche
Eau Fraiche is the most youthful and girly variation of the iconic Chance collection. I bought Eau Fraiche a couple months ago and am officially ADDICTED. It's light, fresh, flowery, sweet, girly, and simply classic.

7. MAC Zoom Lash Mascara
This is hands down my favourite beauty product, EVER. It creates bold lashes with a lot of volume and length. I have thick naturally curly eyelashes and it really emphasizes and exaggerates that. I will never use another mascara, it's amazing!

8. NYC Liquid Liner
This liner has a great little brush that makes it easy to do a dramatic cat-eye. It's easy to apply, lasts long, but it's also easy to remove (yay!!).

I have finally settled in from my move to New York. I met one of my old friends, Alexandra from elementary school for brunch on Sunday and then we decided to shop a bit around soho. It's a little chilly here, but not as cold as I hear it is back in Edmonton!

I finally got the chance to check out the Isabel Marant boutique for the first time! It was hard not to walk out of that store with more than one thing, but I was rushed for time! I ended up getting this pink skull necklace which was perf because you know my obsession with skulls!

Christmas Festivities

Good Eats NYC: ABC Kitchen

If you are every in the Flatiron area I would definitely suggest trying out ABC Kitchen. The restaurant is attached to the ABC Home & Carpet store, and hosts an incredibly cute space that serves amazing food. The photographs above are of the portobello burger with thyme infused fries, and the most amazing dessert ever, the salted caramel ice cream sundae with candied peanuts, caramel popcorn, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. TO DIE FOR!

Jasmine and I had a full day of shopping down 5th Ave and SoHo, and on our way back to Gramercy we decided to stop for a bite to eat at the Shake Shack. Always a good choice, and the line was pretty decent that evening! We also had some fun snapping a few photos amongst all the other people in the subway...it's so funny getting stares! Oh what we do for fashion!

Brooklyn Flea

Kaila, Liz, and I went to the Greenpoint Brooklyn Flea Market on Saturday. It was a really charming set-up. There is an eclectic selection of food, clothing, shoes, jewelry, and furniture.

Kaila ended up buying an amazing fur muff which doubles as a clutch. It's so cute and absolutely perfect for winter. I fell in love with the huge selection of glasses and sunnies. All the quirky thick-rimmed frames made me wish I wore prescription glasses. And the fire-roasted pizza we got from Pizza Moto was zamazzzeee!

This Saturday will be the last outdoor session of Brooklyn Flea for the season. But the winter session with continue inside starting November 26. It's definitely worth checking out

For my 21st birthday I wanted to celebrate in Las Vegas with my friends, unfortunately my C'est Classique Girls were unable to make it but I still had an amazing time! I stayed at the Vdara Hotel, which is an all suite, non-gaming, smoke free and eco friendly hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a relaxing stay in Vegas. Many consider Las Vegas to be a crazy party city, but it offers more then that. The shopping is unbelievable, especially at The Cosmopolitan Hotel and the Forum shops at Caesars Palace. The new H&M in the Forum was like shopping in a glamorous night club and the Christian Louboutin Boutique made you want to hit the slots just to win the jackpot. Along with with the shopping there is great dining, I highly suggest the truffle tots at Henry located in Cosmopolitan Hotel. Finally, the interior decoration in the hotels is exquisite, you spend most of your time looking up at the ceilings. Las Vegas is a destination must and is a fun getaway weekend from reality. TIY: Studded Friendship Bracelet

I thought of this bracelet as a crafty idea to use up some my extra studs I had left from my studded iPhone case. It was really easy, and definitely adds another dimension to my arm party!

I purchased the friendship bracelets from a stand on Venice Beach while in Los Angeles, but you can easily make your own. Next, I just placed the screw side of the stud through the string of the bracelet and then twisted the stud on top. You could add as many studs as you would like, but I personally wanted to see the bracelet underneath still. Try It Yourself - you will get addicted like me and make more than one studded bracelet!

I finally made a trip uptown to visit Ladurée. The famous macaron bakery from Paris has finally set up shop in New York. I am so happy these AMAZING AND ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS macarons are finally available on our side of the pond! The chocolate macaron is a life-changer, simply phenom!
