Quality Matters at Kisancom Chaff Cutter

It's been awhile. But, have we got news for you or what?

We were approached by a customer about a month back at Kisancom manufacturing unit for a Chaff Cutter machine. Upon enquiry, the customer mentioned that though the product quality is extremely high but he would choose a machine from competitor (do not want to leak out their name, but I may say they are well reputed) due to their pricing strategy.

A very responsible member from the sales team advised to the customer against their decision (obviously no one wants to lose a customer to a competitor). Sales team also clarified the pricing strategy of competitor to customer (viz. use of low quality metal, use of bearing made from brittle iron, blades not tempered etc.) clearly cuts on operating cost to reduce the machine price, but it seems at that time the customer was driven by their budget rather than quality.

Well, hard luck, you say!!! Ahha, the customer returned last week with his poor quality machine from competitor and requested us to scrap it, as it would not grab the chaff even though multiple attempts have been made by customer and the competitor service team to get this fault rectified. Customer has regreted his previous decision.

Now the customer is the proud owner of Kisancom.com Chaff Cutter.

Again, we would like to advise to prospective customers that do not be driven by false economy.

Steel Geared Chaff Cutter - Kisancom

Greetings to our Customers and Readers.

We would like to draw attention to the safety mechanism in addition to the speed control and length of chaff that is being used in Steel Geared Power Driven Chaff Cutter and all new Evolution Chaff Cutter Machines at Kisancom, where chaff cutter machine operator can operate a lever in hand for instantaneous disengagement of gears from power source.

This mechanism has improved over number of years especially in context of introduction of steel gears instead of cast iron. We have observed that cast iron gears at certain RPM are susceptible to failure.

We have a large customer base who have been providing us with positive feedbacks and we owe the success of this machine to them.

We are extremely proud to report the following:
Over last weekend (28th August 2010), we were visited by a customer (after sales request), who bought a Chaff Cutter from one of dealers approximately 40 years ago (we are talking early 1970s). He brought the chaff cutter machine to us that required general servicing. Upon the requested servicing request, our engineers found out that over a period of service and regular wear and tear, the machine was still in functioning order, other than main gear running grab rollers missing one tooth. They replaced the gear and the machine was handed over.

Nostalgic Image from BBC

Greetings to our Customers and Readers.

While going through scores of web pages on Google regarding Chaff Cutters, I came across a web page from BBC, that shows an image of Chaff Cutter machine in United Kingdom.
Now, the interesting bit is, especially for our old customers is that visually the design seems very similar to a very heavy duty machine that we used to manufacture and was later upgraded and evolved into current models - Steel Geared Power Driven Chaff Cutter. This reminds me of times in 1980s.
I am very proud to find out that design is very successful and went across the world. The new Steel Geared Power Driven Chaff Cutter is upgraded to include steel gears and hence lesser wear and tear and higher productivity through increased RPMs.

These are the characteristics to look for in original branded products:

We have been in Chaff Cutter / Toka Machine business since 1952.
We are now an ISO 9001:2000 certified organisation.
Look for weight of the machine; our machine tend to be much heavier than the fake counterparts.
Look for type of bearings used; we do not use cast iron bearings.
Our machines are all shot blasted, so they tend to be more cleaner.
