An entrance point,

A place to begin,

How can reconcile-the need to belong

With the ever-nagging need to be special.

Or longing for isolation along with a love for the spotlight.

I understand-

I was always part of the plan.

Why must I always play defense?

How come my desire must sit still upon a fence?

Did I make some huge mistake?

We Are What We Are About To Become

Not everything we do is leading us to the life that we are hoping to live. In fact the life that we do end up living is the life that you live in-between hoping for the life that you always dreamed that you would be living.

Many people as they start reaching their middle ages, at that time in your life where you have used up more of your life than you expect to live moving forward. As I have started to understand what all this really means, I often reflect on how far behind I trail others who always knew the right path for their life at a much younger age than I am now.

I took this picture just under 10 years ago. At that time I was familiar with using gimp (which is a poor man's photoshop) and was able to put this image together.

Today, there have been many updated versions of gimp, so much so, that it is very difficult for me to do, what was once easy for me to do. In general, I have found that life itself and the little compromises I have made along the way, have taken me far away from the life I had been expecting to live. With that in mind on some level I feel like I have been playing "catch-up" throughout most of my adult life.

Faded Dreams

Finding time in my mind, has not been a difficult thing.

Getting my ideas and thoughts onto paper or online brings me a modicum of relief from an ever growing sense of darkness and despair. I find that in many ways that I have become a hoarder of objects which in theory are valuable, but in truth their value only gets realized when they are sold. In the meantime, I finally decided that I need to let go of all sorts of baggage, and a great deal of this baggage is in the form of material possessions.

Luckily, I have an optimistic plan where I can pare down to things that are of value to me. Only hold on to stuff that has real value, specific value to me. I need to let go of things that just have little use or appeal. Even if I have hauled it along on my journeys throughout the decades with myself everywhere, I must do something with them (the writings) before they expire probably never to see the light of day.

I need to not let the sheer volume of the "no real intrinsic value" stuff, overcrowd my need to stay more streamlined and portable. I feel like something of significant value- needs to be maintained. That is where you always hear that maintaining relationships, takes work.

Finally I am nearly able to fully disclose my thoughts and efforts, regarding myself as well my future goals.

Bad Neighborhood - Login LockDown WordPress Security Plugin: "ogin LockDown records the IP address and timestamp of every failed WordPress login attempt. If more than a certain number of attempts are detected within a short period of time from the same IP range, then the login function is disabled for all requests from that range. This helps to prevent brute force password discovery. Currently the plugin defaults to a 1 hour lock out of an IP block after 3 failed login attempts within 5 minutes. This can be modified via the Options panel. Admisitrators can release locked out IP ranges manually from the panel."

It is very important that you have the proper file permissions to ensure your site's security. I recommend that you restrict your file permissions down to the bare, CHMOD value of 744 which essentially makes it read-only to everyone except you.

Just open your FTP program and right click the folder or file and click on "File Permissions". If it is 777, you are very lucky that you haven't already been hacked. You should change the CHMOD value to 744, only giving the "owner" full access."

Giving WordPress Its Own Directory « WordPress Codex: "Click Save Changes. (Do not worry about the error message and do not try to see your blog at this point! You will probably get a message about file not found.)
Move your WordPress core files to the new location (WordPress address).
Copy (NOT MOVE!) the index.php and .htaccess files from the WordPress directory into the root directory of your site (Blog address). The .htaccess file is invisible, so you may have to set your FTP client to show hidden files. If you are not using pretty permalinks, then you may not have a .htaccess file. If you are running WordPress on a Windows (IIS) server and are using pretty permalinks, you'll have a web.config rather than a .htaccess file in your WordPress directory. For the index.php file the instructions remain the same, copy (don't move) the index.php file to your root directory. The web.config file, must be treated differently than the .htaccess file so you must MOVE (DON'T COPY) the web.config file to your root directory.

The process to move WordPress into its own directory is as follows:

Create the new location for the core WordPress files to be stored (we will use /wordpress in our examples). (On linux, use mkdir wordpress from your www directory. You'll probably want to use "chown apache:apache" on the wordpress directory you created.)
Go to the General panel.
In the box for WordPress address (URL): change the address to the new location of your main WordPress core files. Example: http://example.com/wordpress
In the box for Site address (URL): change the address to the root directory's URL. Example: http://example.com
Click Save Changes. (Do not worry about the error message and do not try to see your blog at this point! You will probably get a message about file not found.)

I believe that these days there is a great deal of hatred amongst groups, within communities, and nations. I believe I have heard somewhere that it was "hatred for no reason" that was the cause of the destruction of the 2nd Holy Temple? If one group, community, or nation specifically defines themselves as hating another group, community or nation, then I would think it would be extremely difficult fot the "hated" group, to like the other group. So consider this problem, if group X, exists simply to destroy group Y- (for no particular reason) how can group Y "transcend the natural reciprocal hatred" and not allow themselves simply to hate group X? Setting this up as an equation works"
