When i travel back to my home town (Jakarta), my uncle bring me to this nice place located in Bintaro called Talaga Sampireun. The place is quite big, located not far from high way. Easy access and very accessible.

To be able to sit at the Gazebo (Waterfront View), a group of customer need to spend minimum Rp. 600,000 per table. You will be able to feed the fish, and have a great views.

The cuisine type is Indonesian cuisine seafood (Sundanese).

The food are nice, not so expensive. But the place is irresistible.

After we check-in and relax a-bit, we decided to go to the beach.

Its a nice and quite beach,

not so happening here but for those who like

to enjoy a white clean and quite beach, you might find this suitable for you.

How to Make a Broken Lens Into a Flowerpot

What do you do when your camera dies? Go for the literal version of “pushing up daisies” and grow a plant in the broken remains of your lens!

Just slap on an old lens hood, fill it up with dirt and nestle a small plant into it.

That’s all it takes to make all your camera geek pals green with envy!

(Get it? “Green?” We crack ourselves up.)

Where to Find Old Cameras and Lenses

Keep an eye out at thrift stores, estate auctions, flea markets or eBay for broken camera parts.

Broken lenses and camera bodies are often labeled “for repair” or “for parts.” Since they don’t work, you can get them dirt cheap.

Keep an eye out for auctions of large lots — pick up a bunch at one time and make a set of planters.

The Water Issue

Here’s the thing though: cameras and lenses, though highly sophisticated examples of engineering prowess, are NOT designed to hold water. Bummer.

While not entirely avoidable, water leaks can be reduced by putting a plastic saucer into the lens or lens hood before filling it with dirt.

Water the plant sparingly, and keep a paper towel handy to sort out any stray dribbles.

Camera-Friendly Plants
One solution to annoying water drippage is to use plants that don’t need much water.
Cacti and succulents are good because there are lots of small varieties and most don’t need water more than twice a month.

Best of all are tillandsia, a.k.a airplants. They’re perfect for this because:

they’re relatively small

they don’t need to be planted in soil (neat, right?) and

you water them by running them under a faucet.

Just take the plant out when it needs water, wet it down, wait for it to dry a bit, and drop it back in. No drips, no dirt, no drama.
The Camera Body Version

If the body of the camera is completelty irreparable, don’t write it off as a total loss.

Just take off the lens and put a plant inside the camera body!

Sure it’ll never work again, but at least it’s out of the junk drawer and looking good.

Prompted by the Circuit Board Bench that we posted yesterday, commenter GuyInMilwaukee pointed us to his beautiful Computer Board Table. It's actually made of two tables, one on the inside to hold the computer boards, and one on the outside, that acts as the surface of the piece. Shadyman asked him how he chose the components to display, and it turns out that they are from his first computer:
It's mainly made up of boards/drives from old Intergraph 6000 series machines built in the late 80s early 90s. They had nice big boards.
It was a good way to keep around my first real computer after I could no longer find parts to keep it working, an Intergraph 6880 with Edge II graphics. I learned computer modeling, rendering and animation on it and think of it as a mentor. There are also old 2800 baud modem parts and other random parts collected over the years.
No real pattern other than just getting it all to fit together like a puzzle. The LED lights along the perimeter worked out better that I had hoped. I have it wired so it automatically goes on when it gets dark.

Inspired from the Dirkon Paper Camera, i tried my self to build up one
of the Pinhole Camera using my old calendar paper.

By using the template that Dirkon gave i start to build my own paper camera, here are the template:

You can actually directly print it into a thick glossy paper or you can use it as your framework.
In my experiment, the template i use it for my framework. Some of the framework that i lazy to draw i just stick into the paper and start to cut it.

Ok, here's the tricky part. The bellow image is the shutter of the camera. This part is a bit tricky because you need to allow the shutter to be able to lift up and down. In this case, i used paper clip.

The next step is to build the Ring.

Then there you go, you have the middle part ready.

Now what you have to do is just build up the left over pieces and start to build the entire parts.

You dont really have to follow the template, some of the parts that i feel not suitable and i feel not needed i dont use it. To rolling the film you can use either long paper clip, unused chopstick (dont use new otherwise you mom will angry :0), or anything for rolling the negative film. You can used the empty shell to roll the film like the bellow picture:

There you go, now you have your own paper camera. Remember to cover up the hole or leaks to prevent the light leaks. Otherwise you film will all be burn up. Good luck and Happy Trying !!!

After spending at least 2 roll, and most of the picture burn out, i manage to capture some of shot.
