The human heart is an amazing organ. Although we all know it is the main organ of the body and is the pump that keeps us alive, there is evidence to show that it is so much more.

It has long been revered by ancient cultures. It has it’s own unique energy and it’s own intelligence and memory. This has become more evident since the advent of heart transplants and patients have found themselves taking on characteristics or tastes of the donor.

There is also research that suggests we can tap into and use this power of the heart, that it will guide us and can provide us with many benefits.

One of Greggs Books I can highly recommend is The Divine Matrix – he outlines how the energy system works, not so much of the body, but generally and then how we fit into that too. He includes some scientfic research experiments and findings. To be able to work with our own energy, it is necessary to better understand it and how it works, what it responds to etc. Gregg also includes some real life stories of people’s experiences of healing and the Divine Matrix of energy. With this information, it is far easier to comprehend how we are all connected and the part we play in what we attract into our lives.

Bruce also talks about how our thoughts and beliefs are what can create positive or negative environments and conditions for our cells. Revealing we have great freedom to decide at any moment what sort of inner environment do we want to create.

Now there is much more research done on a scientific basis that is available for us all. This delves deeper into the real secrets and potential of what lies at the very core of our being and what puts meaning into our lives.

I recently came across the Institute of HeartMath  and highly recommend you take a look. The research is very detailed and I will personally be writing more about how to incorporate some of their recommendations into your daily life, so that you too can reap the benefits that are absolutely available to us all.

What I found intriguing was that we all hear about Universal Love, Unconditional Love and we understand it is a very beautiful emotion but now we can truly understand that it is not just a concept but it is a very real and attainable vibration for us all. As a healer we will often channel the healing energies through our heart chakras, or at least activate that chakra so that the vibration can flow to the other person. Withthis kind of research by the heart math institute it is surely clear to all that such energies have a far reaching and healing capacity.

This information also gives us immense power over our own healing and hearts. As we can choose at any moment to hold the peaceful, loving energies in our hearts and minds, bringing about a very welcome peace of mind and inner contentment. When the inner world is peaceful, the ripples have to expand out into the outer world too.

I came across an article today outlining the benefits of yoga – specifically to do with maintaing a healthy heart. That I think is something we can ALL relate to and would naturally find of great benefit.

It states

” Yoga influences the hypothalamus directly, the area of the brain that controls endocrine activity, and helps prevent heart attacks.

A complete yoga program involves exercises (asanas), breath control (pranayama), sleep control(yoga Nidra) and mind control(meditation).These are the tenets for cardiac health; also probably the reason why cardiologists universally, recommend yoga to their patients. The curative benefits of yoga enhances heart health, lowers blood pressure, reduces chronic stress, boosts the immune system and enhances cognitive ability.”

The article also goes on to mention how our thoughts create chemicals in our minds and bodies – it highlights the negative ones but this is equally true of positive emotions. When we feel good, relaxed and happy we do send relaxed and happy chemicals around our body. Stress is such adestructive element and in so many ways that we don’t necessarily see at first or comprehend.

There are some postures outlined at ” Yoga asanas for a healthy heart” , if you want to give yoga a try, then these are a  gentle yet effective place to start.

This is an independent documentary film that chronicles six Americans with ‘incurable’ diabetes switching their diet and getting off insulin.

The film follows each participant’s remarkable journey and captures the medical, physical, and emotional transformations brought on by this diet and lifestyle change. We witness moments of struggle, support, and hope as what is revealed, with startling clarity, is that diet can reverse diabetes* and change lives.

If you have diabetes or have someone in the family with it, then this has definitely got to be worth taking the time to investigate.

Personally, I think it is worth watching and taking note of, even if you don’t have diabetes, it is a great reminder of how what we eat is so very important to us. It is the fuel that gives us energy or slows us down.

I came across this simple process earlier today. In effect it is a way of getting your energy flowing freely. The process outlined in the article is aimed to improve your energy flow whilst sitting down.

I would certainly give it a go standing as well, so that the legs and the energy of the lower body is more stimulated and involved.

It is not suggested that you do this late at night as it can be quite invigorating, so it could just be the perfect  mid morning pick  me up – or an afternoon power break at work.
