This week Chambers Judd HQ will be churning out lovestory themed animations for Orange's "The Feed". The idea is simple, tweet your love story along with the has tag #feedlovestories and there is a chance we will animate it as a tiny rom-com.

I love these little buggers. 'Leave me alone boxes' or 'useless machines' as they are sometimes known do one thing and one thing only - turn themselves off. They caught the imagination of the internet last year, and to me at least the overwhelming response says people are ready to respond to objects with a ‘personality’. If you, like me, are the kind of person who's prepared to endure splinters and minor soldering burns to build one, you're in luck...

Dave, Mikey and Matthias. On Sunday the 13th one of these lucky so-and-sos will be getting their hands on a golden Mask. The trio I speak of studied in the year below me at the Royal College of Art. Each has been nominated for the Bafta for best Animated Short. To add spice to an already sizzling dish, they are the only three in the running. So lets all give a big hand and wish them all the best.

Over at Animade we have been keeping our beady little eyes clamped firmly on the regular output of Ross Philips. He grabbed our attention in 2009 with his whimsical Adam and Joe Song Wars animation. In the 2 year since he has churned out these little nuggets of fun in his spare time. ‘Fail’ and ‘Reverse’ are the animation equivalent to the ‘one liner’ using minimal setup to punch out a nice little snap of humour.

To make a long and geeky story short SASS is a CSS extension which lets you use variables, nested rules and functions when writing CSS. If you’re in the business of making websites and spend any amount of time at all with CSS, it will make your life a good deal easier. Plus, I've got time for anyone who calls their software releases things like 'Classy Cassidy'.

It's with great pleasure and a dash of relief that we announce our new Posts section. What we should write about has been a topic of heated debate. Conclusion - we're keen to use it as a drop off point for techniques, ideas and work we come across in our practice and more generally in the running of the business in the hope they'll be useful (and ideally interesting) to others. So without further ado - Posts!
