awesome day, this years Lend A Hand for Luekaemia fundraising day turned out to be. A great bunch of ladies scrapping, card making and crafting, great teachers and classes, fun all round.

all packed and ready to go to our Lend a Hand for Luekaemia crop fundraising day on THIS Sunday.

There are prizes for the best layout and best card made on the day, a draw prize for all of the six classes run throughout the day, three door prizes and twelve raffle prizes. A range of awesome products and Gift Vouchers from all the top brands. How lucky are we!!!!

There are some great pictures of Julie wrapping these fabulous prizes, however I am forbidden to post them until they have approval!!! It's tempting just to post some of the more special ones!!!

We do still have some places left for Sunday. If you would like to attend call the store tomorrow between 10am and 2pm on 5223 2003 or outside those hours 0418 504617.

Details for Sunday 8th November - Lend a Hand for Luekaemia

Classes and the crop will commence at 9.00 0am sharp. The event is being held in the function room at Buckley’s Entertainment Centre, 54 Fellmongers Rd, Breakwater, Victoria 3219. This is the corner of Boundary Road and Fellmongers Road.

All Day Crop: 9am-5pm
If you are attending the Crop you will need to bring your own tools and equipment along with any projects you would wish to work on during the day.

Classes:
Each class will have a kit of product required to complete the class. You will need to bring your photos and general tools ie Cutters, craft knifes, tapes, pens etc. Product specific to the class will be provided on the day.

There will be products available for purchase on the day but of course we cannot bring the whole store!

** Buckley’s Entertainment centre is helping us out with a room on the day. In accordance with their rules no food or drink is to be taken onto the premises. There will be tea and coffee supplied. Buckley’s has both bar dining and a sit down restaurant. To book dining call the venue direct on 5248 4866.

Novembers Gallery Competiton

Challenge is themed around travel / holidays. Your project can be a layout, card or beyond the page project with a travel theme. This includes single or double page layouts, cards for going away or sending while you are away, and mini albums etc that are memories of your travel / holidays.

Al Hannah from Kaisercraft Design Team made the following album of her family holiday Trip to Thailand using Kaisercraft's "Pack Your Bags" range. We thought this was a great idea to make a mini album of a specific holiday.

To enter the November's contest put up yor layout, card or Beyond the Page project about travel onto the gallery by midnight 30th November 2009. All entries will go into a random draw to win a $50.00 Gift Voucher that can be spent in store or online.

A Huge Congratulations to Bron on being randomly drawn as the winner of the October contest to make a project of Christmas. What a stunning lot of layouts, cards and BTP projects were entered. Bron's mini album "2008 Christmas" was uploaded to the gallery on the 31st of October.

November Card Making Class - Tuesday 10th November

Christmas card sending time is literally only weeks away now.

This class uses a Kaisercraft paper. The vellum window is a great technique for creating focus on a busy or bright background paper. The finishing touches come from pearls, the luxurious Maya Road scalloped velvet ribbon and Tim Holtz's Rock Candy.   This is the first time we have used this technique in class. You will also find out another use for cotton buds!

This card will be held on Tuesday 10th November. 6.30pm - 8.30pm. Bookings can be taken in store, by emailing info@chandoncraft.com.au or calling the shop on 5223 2003.  Knock over another special card in this class as well as taking home another piece of knowlege. Cost $23.95.

making your 2010 calendars. Whether they are to keep for yourself at home or the office, or whether they are made as gifts, nothing is such an all year gift than a calendar personalised by you and your family.

There are several different choices that can made with Calendars and here are a couple of our favorites at Chandon Craft:

The 2010 Basic Grey Calendar.

This 8x8" Calendar comes complete with all the embellishments you need to make a fabulous calendar. The designs in the pack are from the thirteen most popular Basic Grey ranges. Kelly Goree designed pages for each month (samples of each month come with the pack). Here is April sans photo.

If you only scrap traditional 12x12" layout the Karen Foster Blank Calendar could be the one for you.

Just design your page layouts and add to the top of the corresponding month. Fill in dates using numerical stickers. Use for an year. You can especially make pages for each month, or adhere exisiting 12x12 layouts to create the calendar.
